There are a wide variety of semi-solid ointments used for healing the skin diseases, whose therapeutic and skin penetration abililties may greatly differ from one another depending on the compositions of ointment vehicles. A computer optimization technique was applied to obtain the optimum formula of o/w type ointment giving the in vitro maximum absorption rate through hairless rat skin membrane. Some of the formulations were selected to find out a relationship between skin penetration of ointment and its Theological characteristics. The experimental value of absorption rate obtained from the ointment by optimum formula agreed well with the theoretical value obtained from a polynomial regression analysis, Three kinds of ointments selected among 15 formulations were obtained with a concentric cylinder type rheometer (Model; Rheolab SM-HM Physica, Germany) at 20, 30, 40 and $50^{\circ}C$ for rheograms of rhelolgical properties of o/w type ointments. As the temperature was raised, all products showed a decrease in both shear stress and yield values. The higher skin penetration, the lower shear stress showed.

Low pressure inductively coupled plasma characteristics of argon and oxygen are numerically simulated for a 400 mm rectangular type system with a plasma fluid model. The results showed lower power absorption profile at the corner than a circular one in a 13.56 MHz driven 1.5 turn antenna system with a drift-diffusion and quasi-neutrality assumption. Ions controlled by electric field are more non-uniform than metastables and the power absorption profile of oxygen plasma is affected by horizontal gas flow pattern to show 25% lower power absorption at the pumping flange side. Oxygen negative ions which are generated in electron collisional dissociation of oxygen molecules was calculated as 0.1% of oxygen atoms with similar spatial profile.
In this paper, energy absorption characteristics of circular windowed tubes with different section shapes (circular, ellipse, square, hexagon, polygon and pentagon) are investigated numerically and experimentally. The tube possesses the same material, thickness, height, volume and average cross sectional area which are subjected under axial and oblique quasi-static loading conditions. Numerical model was constructed with FE code ABAQUS/Explicit, the obtained outcome of simulation is in good matching with the experimental data. The energy absorbed, specific energy absorption, crash force efficiency, peak and mean loads along with the collapse modes with their initiation point of simple and windowed tubes were evaluated. The technique for order of preference by similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) approach was employed for assessing their overall crushing performances. The obtained results confirm that efficacy of crash force indicators have improved by introducing windows and tubes with pentagonal and circular windows achieves the maximum ranking about 0.528 and 0.517, it clearly reveals the above are best window shapes.

This work describes the low-resolution spectral modeling of the water vapor, carbon dioxide and their mixtures by applying the weighted-sum-of-gray-gas-gases model (WSGGM) to each narrow band. Proper modeling scheme of gray gas absorption coefficients vs temperature relation is suggested. Comparison between the modeled emissivity calculated from this relation and the 'true' emissivity obtained from the high temperature statistical narrow band parameters is made for a few typical narrow bands. Low resolution spectral intensities from one-dimensional layers are also obtained and examined for uniform, parabolic and boundary layer type temperature profiles using the obtained WSGGM's with several gray gases. The results are compared with the narrow band spectral intensities obtained by a narrow band model-based code with Curtis-Godson approximation. Good agreement is found between them. Data bases including optimized modeling parameters and total and low-resolution spectral weighting factors are developed for water vapor, carbon dioxide and their mixtures. This model and obtained data bases, available from the authors' Internet site, can be appropriately applied to any radiative transfer equation solver.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the satisfaction and absorption of spectating on desire of re-spectating at the professional sporting events. This study set a model of consumer behavior decision based on the results of the precedent studies about the determinative factors of consumer behavior and the hypothetical model done by Wakefield & Sloan(1995), Hansen & Gauthier(1989), Jeffrey(1997), Green(1995), and Kim(1999) and clarified it through the regression. To attain the goal of the study described above paragraphs, some viewers of 2007 season pro-soccer and pro-baseball games were set as a collected group. Then, using the stratified cluster random sampling method, finally drew out and analyzed 605 spectators in total. Data collected through a questionnaire designed for this study consist of fixed alternative choice response to items constructed to represent the operational definition for each variable. Statistics employed for data analysis was correlation and multiple regression. Based upon the results of the study, the following conclusions appear warranted: 1. Satisfaction of spectating influence on desire of re-spectating at the professional sporting events. 2. Satisfaction of absorption influence on desire of re-spectating at the professional sporting events.
It becomes important to analyze the effects of electromagnetic wave on human body, as various wireless equipments are widely used in daily life. SAR (specific absorption rate) is a parameter of the effects of electromagnetic wave on human body. However, it considers only human tissues, and it is difficult to evaluate the effects of electromagnetic wave when metal artifacts are inserted such as dental implants. This paper introduces a method to simulate SAR, and gets its simulated results. Simulated SAR of human head model with dental implants in 30 GHz 5th generation mobile communications (5G) frequency band is $2.50{\times}10^{-3}W/kg$ in maximum and $8.58{\times}10^{-7}W/kg$ in average. These values are absolutely below 1.6 W/kg Korean domestic SAR limit.

To successfully explore the moon by lunar lander, it is essential to guarantee the safe landing of lunar lander. Therefore, efficient shock absorption system of lunar lander should be designed in order to reduce landing impact force. Also, for more practical design of lunar lander, it is important to consider the effect of lunar regolith. In the line of thought, finite element model of lunar lander considering the effect of lunar regolith is developed. To reduce landing impact force, optimization of shock absorption system for lunar lander has been carried out. In optimization, sequential approximate optimization method based on meta-model is used. Through the result of optimization, it is verified that landing impact force on lunar lander can be efficiently reduced by the present optimization procedure.
The effect of diffusers on Early Stage Support (ST1) in a concert hall was investigated at 8 positions in a 1:25 stage scale model. Experiments were carried out when the stage floor was covered with and without absorption cloth to investigate the effect of stage floor reflection (absorption coefficient - 0.6 at 500Hz). To find out the effect of stage wall. three types of wall diffusers were used. As a result. absorption cloth on stage floor reduced the ST1 values at high frequency. but the average value of ST1 was not changed. Three types of stage wall diffusers were revealed as unaffecting. but it was observed that the ST1 values varied to positions of stage. The ST1 values were evenly distributed when hemisphere diffusers were used. Therefore. the use of floor absorption did not have much effect on the ST1 values, and the diffusers had some effect on the distribution of the ST1 values.

CdS thin film was prepared on glass substrate by chemical bath deposition in an alkaline solution. The optical properties of CdS thin film were investigated using spectroscopic ellipsometry. The real (${\varepsilon}_1$) and imaginary (${\varepsilon}_2$) parts of the complex dielectric function ${\varepsilon}(E)={\varepsilon}_1(E)+i{\varepsilon}_2(E)$, the refractive index n(E), and the extinction coefficient k(E) of CdS thin film were obtained from spectroscopic ellipsometry. The normal-incidence reflectivity R(E) and absorption coefficient ${\alpha}(E)$ of CdS thin film were obtained using the refractive index and extinction coefficient. The critical points $E_0$ and $E_1$ of CdS thin film were shown in spectra of the dielectric function and optical constants of refractive index, extinction coefficient, normal-incidence reflectivity, and absorption coefficient. The dispersion of refractive index was analyzed by the Wemple-DiDomenico single-oscillator model.

This paper deals with the stress singularity induced at the interface corner between the elastic substrate and the viscoelastic thin film as the polymeric film absorbs moisture from the ambient environment. The boundary element method is employed to investigate the behavior of interface stresses. The order of the singularity is obtained numerically for a given viscoelastic model. It is shown that the stress singularity factor is relaxed with time, while the order of the singularity increases with time for the viscoelastic model considered.
