실내 위치 추정 시스템에서의 멀티 홉 위치 오차에 관한 연구 (A Study on Multi-hop Positioning Error in Indoor Positioning System)

  • 스마트폰에서 음향 신호를 이용하여 실내에서의 절대 위치를 측정하는 연구가 많이 진행되고 있다. 또한 여러개의 위치 측정 장치들이 연속으로 자신의 위치를 측정하는 멀티 홉 방식의 실내 위치 측정 장치 시스템도 제안되었다. 이 경우에는 측정된 상대 위치의 오차가 축적되어 홉 수가 커짐에 따라 지속적으로 증가하게 되므로 실내 위치 측정 시스템을 설계할 때에 이에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 연속적으로 설치된 멀티 홉 방식의 실내 위치 측정 장치 시스템에서 절대 위치 오차를 분석하였으며, 이를 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다. 분석 결과를 보면 축적된 측정 오차가 멀티 홉 수에 따라 거의 선형적으로 증가함을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a modified residual-based EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) for performance improvement of indoor positioning using WiFi RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) measurement. Radio signal strength in indoor environments may have irregular attenuation characteristics due to obstacles such as walls, furniture, etc. Therefore, the performance of the RSSI-based positioning with the conventional trilateration method or Kalman filter is insufficient to provide location-based accurate information services. In order to enhance the performance of indoor positioning, in this paper, error analysis of the distance calculated by using the WiFi RSSI measurement is performed based on the radio propagation model. Then, an IARM (Irregularly Attenuated RSSI Measurement) error is defined. Also, it shows that the IARM error is included in the residual of the positioning filter. The IARM error is always positive. So, it is presented that the IARM error can be estimated by taking the absolute value of the residual. Consequently, accurate positioning can be achieved based on the IEM (IARM Error Mitigated) EKF with the residual modified by using the estimated IARM error. The performance of the presented IEM EKF is verified experimentally.

무인기 소프트웨어에서 처리된 표정요소를 이용한 도화품질 예측기술 개발 및 비교분석 (Development and Comparative Analysis of Mapping Quality Prediction Technology Using Orientation Parameters Processed in UAV Software)

  • 현재 현업에서 사용되고 있는 상용 무인기 영상처리 소프트웨어는 카메라 캘리브레이션 정보나 영상 전체에 대한 블록 번들조정 정확도만 제공할 뿐 스테레오 페어의 실제 도화 가능여부에 대한 정확도는 거의 제공하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 무인기 영상처리 소프트웨어에서 산출된 표정요소를 사용하여 도화품질을 산출하고 실제 도화기에 적용하여 도화품질의 신뢰성에 대해서 분석하였다. 도화품질은 Y시차 정확도, 상대모델 정확도, 절대모델 정확도의 3가지 정확도로 정의하였다. Y시차 정확도는 스테레오 페어간 입체시 여부를 판단할 수 있는 정확도이다. 상대모델 정확도는 모델 좌표계 상에서 스테레오 페어간 상대적인 번들조정 정확도이다. 절대모델 정확도는 절대 좌표계에서 번들조정 정확도이다. 실험데이터는 도심지를 대상으로 회전익에서 취득된 GSD 5 cm급의 영상 723장을 사용하여 도화품질을 분석하였다. 연구진이 개발한 기술을 사용해 예측한 상대모델 정확도와 실제 도화기에서 관측한 정확도의 최대오차는 0.11 m로 정밀한 결과를 보여 주었다. 절대모델 정확도도 마찬가지로, 도화기에서 관측한 정확도의 최대오차는 0.16 m로 정밀한 결과를 보여주었다.

Computational Fluid Dynamics of Cavitating Flow in Mixed Flow Pump with Closed Type Impeller

  • LES(Large Eddy Simulation) with a cavitation model was performed to calculate an unsteady flow for a mixed flow pump with a closed type impeller. First, the comparison between the numerical and experimental results was done to evaluate a computational accuracy. Second, the torque acting on the blade was calculated by simulation to investigate how the cavitation caused the fluctuation of torque. The absolute pressure around the leading edge on the suction side of blade surface had positive impulsive peaks in both the numerical and experimental results. The simulation showed that those peaks were caused by the cavitaion which contracted and vanished around the leading edge. The absolute pressure was predicted by simulation with -10% error. The absolute pressure around the trailing edge on the suction side of blade surface had no impulsive peaks in both the numerical and experimental results, because the absolute pressure was 100 times higher than the saturated vapor pressure. The simulation results showed that the cavitation was generated around the throat, then contracted and finally vanished. The simulated pump had five throats and cavitation behaviors such as contraction and vanishing around five throats were different from each other. For instance, the cavitations around those five throats were not vanished at the same time. When the cavitation was contracted and finally vanished, the absolute pressure on the blade surface was increased. When the cavitation was contracted around the throat located on the pressure side of blade surface, the pressure became high on the pressure side of blade surface. It caused the 1.4 times higher impulsive peak in the torque than the averaged value. On the other hand, when the cavitation was contracted around the throat located on the suction side of blade surface, the pressure became high on the suction side of blade surface. It caused the 0.4 times lower impulsive peak in the torque than the averaged value. The cavitation around the throat caused the large fluctuation in torque acting on the blade.

기준국을 이용한 실내·외 절대 고도 산출 및 3D 항법 (Absolute Altitude Determination for 3-D Indoor and Outdoor Positioning Using Reference Station)

  • 본 논문은 3D 위치 정보를 산출하기 위한 기압고도계 및 기준국을 이용한 절대 고도 측정 정확도 향상에 관한 연구이다. GPS와 같은 위성 항법 시스템이 신뢰성이 있는 절대 고도를 제공하지 못하는 점과 기압 고도계가 변화하는 대기압의 특성상 절대 고도 정보를 제공하지 못한다는 문제점을 인식하고, 이를 개선하기 위해 새로운 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 기법을 검증하기 위해 RTK를 활용한 기준국을 지정하고 시중에 판매하는 압력 센서 및 EVK 단말기를 활용하였으며, 실내 외에서의 사람의 이동으로 인한 고도 변화 실험과 차량을 이용한 이동 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 이 논문의 결과는 기준국을 이용하는 기존의 2D 측위 시스템을 간단히 3D 측위 시스템으로 확장할 수 있는 저가 솔루션을 제공할 수 있음을 보였다.

항공디지털카메라 영상을 이용한 수치지도 갱신 (Updating Digital Map using Images from Airborne Digital Camera)

  • 국내에 고해상도 지도제작용 항공디지털카메라 영상의 도입 및 공급이 현실화됨에 따라 항공디지털카메라 영상을 이용한 수치지도의 제작 및 갱신에 많은 관심이 모아지고 있다. 본 연구는 푸쉬부룸 항공디지털카메라 영상을 이용하여 기존의 1/1,000 수치지도의 갱신방법을 제시하고자 하였다. GPS측량성과를 이용하여 기하보정을 수행하고, 수치도화를 위해 수치사진측량시스템을 이용하였다. 수치도화는 건물 및 도로를 묘사하였고, GPS측량성과를 이용하여 절대위치정확도 평가와 해석도화에 의해 제작된 수치지도를 이용하여 상대위치정확도 평가를 수행하였다. 절대위치정확도 평가결과, RMSE가 X, Y축으로 각각 ${\pm}0.172m,\;{\pm}0.127m$, 평균거리오차는 0.208m, 상대위치정확도 평가결과, RMSE가 X, Y축으로 각각 ${\pm}0.238m,\;{\pm}0.281m$, 평균거리오차는 0.337m로 나타났다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 제시한 항공디지털카메라 영상을 이용한 수치지도 갱신방법은 국토지리정보원 규정의 허용오차 이내였으므로, 향후 국가기본도 제작은 물론 지자체의 GIS사업 및 다양한 분야에 활용할 수 있다.

초정밀 가공기의 실시간 운동오차 및 열변형오차 보상 (Real-time Motion Error Time and the Thermal Error Compensation of Ultra Precision Lathe)

  • Recently, demand the ultra precision product which is increasing rapidly is used extensively frontier industry field such as semi-conductor, computer, aerospace, precision machine. Ultra precision processing is the portion that is very needed to NT in the field of mechanical engineering. The latest date, together with radical advancement of electronic and photonics industry, necessity of ultra precision processing is on the increase for the manufacture of various kernel parts those are connected with these industrial fields. Specially, require motion accuracy of high resolution of nm order in stroke of hundreds millimeters according as diameter of processing object great and processing accuracy rises. In this case ,the response speed absolute delay because inertial mass of moving part is very large. Therefore, real time motion error compensation becomes very hardly. In this paper, we used ultra precision cutting unit(UPCU) to cope such problem. a UPCU is designed and tested to obtain sub-micrometer from accuracy in diamond turning of flat surfaces. The thermal growth spindle error is compensated for real time using a UPCU driven by piezoelectric actuator along with a laser encoder displacement sensor.

다층 퍼셉트론을 이용한 인버터의 효율 감소 진단 모델에 관한 연구 (Research on Model to Diagnose Efficiency Reduction of Inverters using Multilayer Perceptron)

  • This paper studies a model to diagnose efficiency reduction of inverter using Multilayer Perceptron(MLP). In this study, two inverter data which started operation at different day was used. A Multilayer Perceptron model was made to predict photovoltaic power data of the latest inverter. As a result of the model's performance test, the Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE) was 4.1034. The verified model was applied to one-year-old and two-year-old data after old inverter starting operation. The predictive power of one-year-old inverter was larger than the observed power by 724.9243 on average. And two-year-old inverter's predictive value was larger than the observed power by 836.4616 on average. The prediction error of two-year-old inverter rose 111.5572 on a year. This error is 0.4% of the total capacity. It was proved that the error is meaningful difference by t-test. The error is predicted value minus actual value. Which means that PV system actually generated less than prediction. Therefore, increasing error is decreasing conversion efficiency of inverter. Finally, conversion efficiency of the inverter decreased by 0.4% over a year using this model.

Alternative robust estimation methods for parameters of Gumbel distribution: an application to wind speed data with outliers

  • An accurate determination of wind speed distribution is the basis for an evaluation of the wind energy potential required to design a wind turbine, so it is important to estimate unknown parameters of wind speed distribution. In this paper, Gumbel distribution is used in modelling wind speed data, and alternative robust estimation methods to estimate its parameters are considered. The methodologies used to obtain the estimators of the parameters are least absolute deviation, weighted least absolute deviation, median/MAD and least median of squares. The performances of the estimators are compared with traditional estimation methods (i.e., maximum likelihood and least squares) according to bias, mean square deviation and total mean square deviation criteria using a Monte-Carlo simulation study for the data with and without outliers. The simulation results show that least median of squares and median/MAD estimators are more efficient than others for data with outliers in many cases. However, median/MAD estimator is not consistent for location parameter of Gumbel distribution in all cases. In real data application, it is firstly demonstrated that Gumbel distribution fits the daily mean wind speed data well and is also better one to model the data than Weibull distribution with respect to the root mean square error and coefficient of determination criteria. Next, the wind data modified by outliers is analysed to show the performance of the proposed estimators by using numerical and graphical methods.

남극 세종기지에서의 지자기 모니터링 (Geomagnetic Field Monitoring at King Sejong Station, Antarctica)

  • The variation of geomagnetic field and absolute magnetic field at the geomagnetic observatory of King Sejong Station has been measured with 3-component ring core fluxgate magnetometer, proton magnetometer and D-I magnetometer. With data obtained from King Sejong Station during 2003, thediurnal and annual variations of geomagnetic field were researched and compared with those at other observatories. The deviation of daily variation of magnetic field in antarctica decreased gradually during winter season due to sun effect. The rates of componental annual variation of magnetic field at King Sejong Station were calculated using the least-square method under the assumption that the annual variation of magnetic field is linear. The rates are -55.93 nT/year in horizontal intensity, -0.87 min./year in declination, 58.30 nT/year in vertical intensity, and -69.85 nT/year in total intensity of magnetic field. A remarkable variation was caused by the magnetic storms occurred on 29~30 October, which were so powerful that the variation was observed in mid latitudes as well as high latitudes. The values of variation are generally 1500 2000 nT in Antarctica including King Sejong Station, 350 500 nT in East Asia. The measurement of absolute magnetic field shows that ring core fluxgate magnetometer has relatively large error range under cold temperature.
