National Innovative Capability (NIC) is an important decisive factor where economic growth is concerned. As such, it is very important to measure and manage NIC. The composite index approach is one of the widely used approaches to measuring NIC, but there have been insufficient reviews of its feasibility and reliability. This paper conducted an analysis of the feasibility and reliability of the report on the last three years (i.e. 2011 through 2013) of the Innovation Union Scoreboard (IUS) of the EU, which is the most representative means of measuring NIC. It turned out that its reliability meets the recommended criteria as a result of Chronbach's alpha-based test of the models of IUS-related composite index. However, neither the absolute fit index nor the incremental fit index was found to meet the recommended criteria in a construct validity analysis. It also turned out that predictive validity is very low as a result of panel linear regression analysis of sectors and items of IUS-related composite index. This paper presents a number of considerations to be made when measuring national innovative capability using the composite index approach, as well as major policy suggestions based on the results of the analysis.

In this study, we comprehensively investigated the cases of science teachers who implemented NOS assessments in Science Inquiry Experiment. Two science teachers working at high schools located in Seoul who taught and assessed NOS in Science Inquiry Experiment according to the 2015 revised curriculum participated in the study. We collected lesson and assessment materials and observed NOS lessons and assessments. We also conducted interviews. Based on the collected data, we analyzed the processes of the teachers' NOS assessments. The analyses of the results revealed that the teachers constructed the assessments by themselves due to a lack of NOS assessment experience and related materials. They had difficulties in selecting an appropriate assessment method and constructing assessment questions and criteria. Both teachers found it difficult to assess an understanding of NOS because it concerns the subjective views of individual students. Therefore, they had difficulties in setting detailed assessment criteria, which also led to difficulties in the overall assessment process. There was a difference in the reflective level of the assessments between the two teachers. In the reflective activities of low levels, the assessments were not properly enacted because it was difficult to infer students' understanding. Orientation toward teaching NOS influenced the perceptions of NOS assessment and overall lessons, resulting in a difference in NOS assessments. Finally, the absolute evaluation of Science Inquiry Experiment also affected teachers' NOS assessments. Based on the above results, implications for effective NOS assessments in schools are discussed.
This study was carried out to find the problems of assessment on terrestrial ecosystem part in environmental impact analysis(EIA) and to suggest the proper amelioration measures by analyzing 19 environmental impact statements(EIS) published during the period from 1991 to 1994. The results obtained from this study were as follows. Field survey for the investigation of fauna and flora in project areas should be conducted at least 3 times a year and name of investigator should be written on the EIS clearly. Increase or decrease in degree of green naturality and productivity cannot be an absolute criteria for expressing the amount of changes in ecosystem. Evaluation for the ecosystems and their composition in project area is more important than presenting merely the increase or decrease in degree of green naturality and productivity. Alleviation measures in 19 EISs analyzed in this study were summarized into 6 types: They are establishment of landscape plan, transplanting of useful trees preservation of big tree and protected species, restoration and preservation of existent vegetation, establishment of soil conservation measures and diminution of the impact on animal. However, they were somewhat insufficient because they wouldn't suggest the alleviation measures in detail. The more positive counter-proposals are needed to decrease the impact of the project on terrestrial ecosystem.
The purpose of this study was to suggest design criteria for the HMT (hydro-mechanical transmission) of a 55 kW-class agricultural tractor, develop a simulation model, and evaluate its performance such as axle rotational speed, tractor speed, and power transmission efficiency. In this study, the HMT comprised a compound planetary gear and a HSU (hydro-static unit), and the compound planetary gear comprised two planetary gear sets. The HMT has three gear stages, and the maximum tractor speed was selected as 40 km/h. The simulation time was set at 2736 hours considering the lifetime of the tractor, and the simulation was performed for each gear stage at the engine-rated power conditions. As a result of the simulation, the axle rotational speeds for each gear stage were 39, 77, and 158 rpm, respectively. The range of tractor speed for each gear stage were 1.05-10.22 km/h, 10.74-20.17 km/h, and 20.70-41.40 km/h, respectively. The APE (absolute percentage gear) for the tractor's maximum speed between target value and simulation results were 2.20%, 0.85%, and 3.50%, respectively. Also, the power transmission efficiency for each gear stage were 0-75%, 72-81%, and 69-81%, respectively. The simulation results for the power transmission efficiency of the HMT were similar with the results of the previous research. This was a basic study on the development of the HMT for an agricultural tractor. In future studies, it is necessary to develop a tractor platform and evaluate the performance. The comparison between the simulation model and the HMT tractor should be performed.
Objective: "Hatchability" is an important economic trait in domestic poultry. Studies on poultry hatchability focus mainly on the genetic background, egg quality, and incubation conditions, whereas the molecular mechanisms behind the phenomenon that some ducklings failed to break their eggshells are poorly understood. Methods: In this study, the transcriptional differences between the livers of normally hatched and assisted ducklings were systematically analyzed. Results: The results showed that the clean reads were de novo assembled into 161,804 and 159,083 unigenes (${\geq}200-bp$ long) by using Trinity, with an average length of 1,206 bp and 882 bp, respectively. The defined criteria of the absolute value of log2 fold-change ${\geq}1$ and false discovery rate${\leq}0.05$ were differentially expressed and were significant. As a result, 1,629 unigenes were identified, the assisted ducklings showed 510 significantly upregulated and 1,119 significantly down-regulated unigenes. In general, the metabolic rate in the livers of the assisted ducklings was lower than that in the normal ducklings; however, compared to normal ducklings, glucose-6-phosphatase and ATP synthase subunit alpha 1 associated with energy metabolism were significantly upregulated in the assisted group. The genes involved in immune defense such as major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I antigen alpha chain and MHC class II beta chain 1 were downregulated in the assisted ducklings. Conclusion: These data provide abundant sequence resources for studying the functional genome of the livers in ducks and other poultry. In addition, our study provided insight into the molecular mechanism by which the phenomenon of weak embryos is regulated.
This study examines the formative characteristics of Fold architecture and how its properties are shown in the fashion of the modern work of Issey Miyake through analysis. In this research, the Fold classification criteria for analysis features that appeared in Issey Miyake fashion features were established through research literature on Fold architecture and leading research. Empirical data collection was conducted for Issey Miyake's work and collection by collecting photo materials, and design concepts and the results are analyzed in terms of features. Study ranges of Issey Miyake's creative design development are Pleats Please, A-POC, 132.5 project, and collections from 2000 to 2014. The conclusion is as follows. First, design concepts presented in the Issey Miyake fashion features of Fold are Hybrid, topology, and uncertainty. Hybrid look for the meaning of fashion, which is the interaction between the wearer and garments. The concept of topology designs clothing, focusing on interrelationship of the body and clothing, and pays no attention to absolute size or the form of the clothing. The concept of uncertainty is an uncertain form that is infinitely expandable because all the elements have openness and uncertainty due to the determined incomplete state by the creator. Second, in the results presented in the Issey Miyake fashion features is the destruction of the boundary and diagram form. The destruction of the boundary is free from traditional clothing. The diagram form is a geometric form which does not create a Dart or Princess line.
Purpose: This study aimed to present and test a structural model for describing and predicting the factors affecting subjective career satisfaction of nurses experiencing rotation and to develop human resources management strategies for promoting their career satisfaction related to rotation. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we recruited 233 nurses by convenience sampling who had over 1 year of career experience and who had experienced rotation at least once at G university hospital. Data were collected from August to September in 2016 using self-reported questionnaires. The exogenous variables consisted of rotation perception and rotation stress. Endogenous variables consisted of career growth opportunity, work engagement, and subjective career satisfaction. A hypothetical model was tested by asymptotically distribution-free estimates, and model goodness of fit was examined using absolute fit, incremental fit measures. Results: The final model was approved and had suitable fit. We found that subjective career satisfaction was directly affected by rotation stress (${\beta}=.20$, p=.019) and work engagement (${\beta}=.58$, p<.001), indirectly affected by rotation perception (${\beta}=.43$, p<.001) through career growth opportunity and work engagement. However, there was no total effect of rotation stress on subjective career satisfaction (${\beta}=-.09$, p=.270). Career growth opportunity directly and indirectly affected subjective career satisfaction (${\beta}=.29$, p<.001; ${\beta}=.28$, p<.001). These variables accounted for 65% of subjective career satisfaction. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to establish systematic and planned criteria for rotation so that nurses can grow and develop through sustained work and become satisfied with their career.

25.8kV GIS part generated by sensors to measure contact an inflow of noise depending on the extent of the measured discharge occurs often not easy. Partial discharge signal measurement sensor suitable for developing a more useful measurements at the scene to this, partial discharge waveform analysis developed a sensor, and to utilize forSensor on the development of the most important is VSWR decided to (voltage standing wave ratio) voltage standing-wave ratio less than 1.5 and decided less than at the full spectrum bands that are measured, this time Return loss, as measured value by absolute criteria 14.0 dB produced the sensor, designed to or more. UHF 1.5~0.5 GHz bandwidth spectrum to be measured in GIS. UHF bands were designed to be able to measure the best signal. Recently, 25.8kV GIS production company has been increasing variety of GIS were made open spacer in partial discharge in accordance with the not very easy to detect the signal. The sensor is designed height of four cm external spacer is attachment GIS in an influx of outside noise measurement, and be so manufactured as to facilitate the least we've done. Also, since partial discharge which occur can measure the frequency of the 170kV GIS external partial-discharge signals that occur at the scene of insulation applied to the spacer. Features, and also derived good results using global positioning. Also measured discharge point about sensors that are stable and the reliability of the development and local substation equipment failure occurring signal analysis through the discharge for the prevention of widely. There should be to believe that used.
This paper presents the application of multiple linear regression (MLR) and artificial neural network (ANN) techniques for developing the models to predict the unconfined compressive strength (UCS) and Brazilian tensile strength (BTS) of the fiber reinforced cement stabilized fly ash mixes. UCS and BTS is a highly nonlinear function of its constituents, thereby, making its modeling and prediction a difficult task. To establish relationship between the independent and dependent variables, a computational technique like ANN is employed which provides an efficient and easy approach to model the complex and nonlinear relationship. The data generated in the laboratory through systematic experimental programme for evaluating UCS and BTS of fiber reinforced cement fly ash mixes with respect to 7, 14 and 28 days' curing is used for development of the MLR and ANN model. The data used in the models is arranged in the format of four input parameters that cover the contents of cement and fibers along with maximum dry density (MDD) and optimum moisture contents (OMC), respectively and one dependent variable as unconfined compressive as well as Brazilian tensile strength. ANN models are trained and tested for various combinations of input and output data sets. Performance of networks is checked with the statistical error criteria of correlation coefficient (R), mean square error (MSE) and mean absolute error (MAE). It is observed that the ANN model predicts both, the unconfined compressive and Brazilian tensile, strength quite well in the form of R, RMSE and MAE. This study shows that as an alternative to classical modeling techniques, ANN approach can be used accurately for predicting the unconfined compressive strength and Brazilian tensile strength of fiber reinforced cement stabilized fly ash mixes.
Spatial relations among objects we one of the most frequently used searching criteria for a query based on the contents of 3-D images. However, the existing researches have mainly focused only the absolute directional relations based on a fixed viewpoint in 2-D images. So, this paper presents a representation method of viewpoint based directional relations that enables spatial relations among objects to be retrieved based on a viewpoint of an observer. The retrieval technique based on our method is a]so described. In this paper, the notion of 3D string is defined to express the spatial relations in a 3-D space. A retrieval method based on relative directional relations among objects from a viewpoint of an observer is also presented. The proposed method simplifies the retrieval of viewpoint-based directional relations because 2D+1D scheme reduces the dimension.
