  • In order to find horizontal and vertical precipitation structure in Korean peninsula, we use ground-based radar, and Automatic Weather Station (AWS) data. Radar data was selected for rain events in the Pusan and Jindo in Korea, during the spring and summer season of 2002. AWS point gauge measurements are analyzed as part of spatial structure of precipitation. TRMM/PR and ground-based radar is used vertical correlation. The results showed, as expected that the correlation decreased rapidly with distance.

  • 본 연구는 acid bake-water leaching system (AWS)를 이용하여 Au 정광으로부터 경제적이고 친환경적인 유용금속 용출을 위하여 황산염 용매제의 적용성을 파악하는 것이다. AWS 실험은 전기로를 이용하여 다양한 baking 온도($100^{\circ}C{\sim}500^{\circ}C$)와 황산염 용매제($H_2SO_4$, $K_2SO_4$, $(NH_4)_2SO_4$, $MgSO_4$, $CaSO_4$) 조건에서 수행하였다. Baking 온도가 $400^{\circ}C$까지 증가할수록 유용금속의 용출률은 증가하였다. 용출시간에 따른 AWS 실험결과, 최대 용출률 조건은 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ 용매제이었다. 본 연구를 통하여 $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ 용매제가 AWS를 이용한 유용금속 용출에 있어 효과적인 용매제로 사용가능함을 입증하였다.

  • In the development process of an ECU (Electrical Control Unit), numerous tests are necessary to evaluate the performance and control algorithm. The vehicle based test is expensive and requires long time. Also, it is difficult to guarantee the safety of the test driver. To overcome the various problems faced in the development process, the ECU test has been done using HIL (Hardware In the Loop). The HIL environment has the actual hardware including an ECU and a virtual vehicle model. In this paper, the test platform environment is devloped for the AWS ECU black box test. The test platform is built on HIL (Hardware In the Loop) architecture. Using the developed test platform, the control algorithm of the AWS ECU can be evaluated under the virtual driving condition of the bi-modal tram. Driving conditions, such as a front steering angle and vehicle velocity, are defined through the PC (Personal Computer) input. Input signals are transformed to electrical signals in the PC. These signals become the input conditions of the AWS ECU. The AWS ECU is stimulated by arbitory input conditons, and responses of the system are observed.

Performance of Growing Lambs Fed Urea Ammoniated and Urea Supplemented Wheat Straw Based Diets

  • Twelve growing male lambs ($10.05{\pm}0.41kg$, 5 months age) were assigned to three equal groups in a completely randomized design and fed respectively wheat straw (WS), ammoniated wheat straw (AWS) or urea supplemented wheat straw (USWS) along with concentrate mixtures of varying protein and energy contents to meet their requirements as per NRC (1985). Despite comparable nutrient intake and digestibility, the lambs fed A WS based diet digested lower (p<0.05) crude protein. The digestibility of NDF and hemicellulose were lower while the digestibility of cellulose was higher in lambs on AWS as compared to lambs on USWS based diet. The lambs of all the three groups were in positive and comparable N, Ca and P balance except higher Ca balance in lambs fed WS based diet. The body weight change, average daily gain and feed conversion efficiency were similar among the dietary groups. All the parameters of rumen fermentation pattern were comparable between lambs of AWS and USWS based diets except ammonia-N concentration that was higher in the latter however it was lower in WS fed group. Though, the feeding cost per unit gain was comparable in lambs fed all the three diets, the cost incurred towards roughage during 120 days of experimental feeding was significantly less in lambs fed AWS than UTWS. Thus, feeding of USWS can be practiced to minimize labour cost and environmental pollution involved in the process of urea treatment without affecting the performance of growing lambs.

마을 단위 AWS 구축의 필요성 및 적용사례 소개 (Introduction for the Necessity and Application Example of the Village-based AWS)

  • In this study, the necessity for a village unit Automatic Weather System (AWS) was suggested to obtain correct agricultural weather information by comparing the data of AWS of the weather station with the data of AWS installed in agricultural villages 7 km away. The comparison sites are Hyogyo-ri and Hongseong weather station. The seasonal and monthly averaged and cumulative values of data were calculated and compared. The annual time series and correlation was analyzed to determine the tendency of variation in AWS data. The average values of temperature, relative humidity and wind speed were not much different in comparison with each season. The difference in precipitation was ranged from 13.2 to 91.1 mm. The difference in monthly precipitation ranged from 1.2 to 75.4 mm. The correlation coefficient between temperature, humidity and wind speed was ranged from 0.81 to 0.99 and it of temperature was the highest. The correlation coefficient of precipitation was 0.63 and the lowest among the observed elements. Through this study, precipitation at the weather station and village unit area showed the low correlation and the difference for a quantitative comparison, while the elements excluding precipitation showed the high correlation and the similar annual variation pattern.

  • This paper introduces an evolutionary nonlinear regression based compensation technique for the short-range prediction of wind speed using AWS(Automatic Weather Station) data. Development of an efficient MOS(Model Output Statistics) is necessary to correct systematic errors of the model, but a linear regression based MOS is hard to manage an irregular nature of weather prediction. In order to solve the problem, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP(Genetic Programming) is suggested for a development of MOS wind forecast guidance. Also FCM(Fuzzy C-Means) clustering is adopted to mitigate bias of wind speed data. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the estimation by a GP based nonlinear MOS for 3 days prediction of wind speed in South Korean regions. This method is then compared to the UM model and has shown superior results. Data for 2007-2009, 2011 is used for training, and 2012 is used for testing.

  • As indoor pollutants such as carbon dioxide and dust mainly affect the respiratory and circulatory systems, there is an increasing need for real-time indoor / outdoor environmental monitoring. In this paper, we have developed a real - time environmental monitoring system using the cloud-based 3G integrated environmental sensor module for environmental monitoring. A highly reliable environmental information monitoring system requires various IT technologies such as infrastructure (server, commercial software, etc.), service application software, security, and authentication. A real-time environment monitoring system based on cloud service that can provide reliable service satisfying these configuration requirements is proposed and implemented. It is expected that this system can be applied to various technologies such as indoor automatic window opening/closing system based on the Internet.

스트리밍 서버를 이용한 AWS 기반의 딥러닝 플랫폼 구현과 성능 비교 실험 (Implementation of AWS-based deep learning platform using streaming server and performance comparison experiment)

  • 본 논문에서는 로컬 PC의 성능이 주는 영향이 적은 딥러닝 동작 구조를 구현하였다. 일반적으로, 딥러닝 모델은 많은 연산량을 가지고 있어 처리하는 PC의 성능에 영향을 많이 받는다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 제약 사항을 줄이기 위하여 AWS와 스트리밍 서버를 이용하여 딥러닝 동작을 구현하였다. 첫 번째, AWS에서 딥러닝 연산을 하여 로컬 PC의 성능이 떨어지더라도 딥러닝 동작이 정상적으로 작동할 수 있도록 하였다. 하지만 AWS를 통해 연산 시 입력에 대해 출력의 실시간성이 떨어진다. 두 번째, 스트리밍 서버를 이용하여 딥러닝 모델의 실시간성을 증가시킨다. 스트리밍 서버를 사용하지 않았을 경우 한 이미지씩 처리하거나 이미지를 쌓아서 동영상으로 만들어 처리하여야 하기 때문에 실시간성이 떨어진다. 성능 비교 실험을 위한 딥러닝 모델로는 YOLO v3모델을 사용하였고, AWS의 인스턴스들 및 고성능 GPU인 GTX1080을 탑재한 로컬 PC의 성능을 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 AWS의 인스턴스인 p3 인스턴스를 사용하였을 때 한 이미지 당 테스트 시간이 0.023444초로써 고성능 GPU인 GTX1080을 탑재한 로컬 PC의 한 이미지 당 테스트 시간인 0.027099초와 유사하다는 결과를 얻었다.

스마트온실을 위한 가상 외부기상측정시스템 개발 (Development of Virtual Ambient Weather Measurement System for the Smart Greenhouse)

  • 오늘날 농촌의 인구가 고령화됨에 따라 농업 자동화는 필수가 되었다. 본 연구에서는 단동온실 자동화를 위한 외부 환경 측정 기술이 연구되었다. 연구를 위해 (주)이지팜에서 측정한 외부 환경 데이터를 사용하였다. 또한 Windows 7 환경에서 JAVA와 APM_SETUP 8을 이용하여 웹 기반의 기상청 AWS 데이터를 받는 시스템을 개발하였다. 스마트온실에 가상 외부기상데이터를 제공하기 위한 프로그램은 서버와 클라이언트로 구성되었다. 서버 프로그램은 30분마다 기상청으로부터 날씨 데이터를 받아서 스마트온실에 보내주도록 만들어졌다. 클라이언트 프로그램은 자바 애플릿으로 개발되어, 서버와 통신하여 30분마다 기상청 AWS 데이터를 받아서, 수신된 기상청 AWS 데이터를 스마트 온실 외부 환경 정보로 인식한다. 이 시스템은 (주)이지팜에서 측정한 기상 데이터와 비교함으로서 평가되었다. 외기 온도의 경우 기상청 AWS 데이터와 약간의 차이를 보였다. 그러나 평균절대편차는 2.24℃ 이하로 적은 차이를 보였다. 그러므로 개발된 가상 외부기상측정시스템의 날씨 정보는 스마트온실의 외부 날씨 정보로 사용될 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.

풍황자원 예측시 기상청 풍황자료의 유효성 (Effectiveness of Wind Data from Automated Weather Stations for Wind Resources Prediction)

  • The wind data measured from automated weather stations (AWS) at complex terrains in Korea was used to predict the wind velocity at nearby sites that are several kilometers away. The ten-minute averaged wind data was measured at a height of 10 meters. A commercial CFD code, WindSIM, based on the weighted averaged Navier-Stokes equation was employed. The results were compared with the data measured using meteorological masts (MM) at a height of 40 meters. The predictions using the AWS data and WindSIM showed good agreements with the measured data.
