H-bridge 멀티-레벨 인버터의 파워Cell AVR에 관한 알고리즘 (Algorithm on the power Cell AVR(Auto Voltage Regulation) of H-Bridge Multi-level Inverter)

  • 본 논문은 멀티-레벨 H-bridge 인버터에서 입력전압 변동에 따른 AVR(Auto Voltage Regulation)기능을 적용 그 타당성을 제안하였다. 기존의 범용 인버터에서 (V/F)로 구동되는 전동기 시스템에 있어서 인버터에 공급되는 입력 전압은 출력 주파수에 따라 출력 전압 비율을 일정하게 하고 기동에 필요한 전압을 더하여 출력하는 방식이다. 집중 제어 방식의 멀티-레벨 H-bridge 인버터에서는 Cell의 DC-Link 전압을 Master에서 받아들여서 각각의 Cell에 기준 전압값을 지령하게 된다. 그러므로 입력 전압 변동에 따른 DC-Link 전압의 변동이 발생하게 되면 상전압 Unbalance 가 발생하게 되어 부하가 원하는 출력 전압을 낼 수가 없게 된다. 또한 각각의 Cell을 제어하는 Master 제어기가 가지고 있는 문제점을 보완하여 각각의 Cell 제어기 스스로가 AVR을 수행하는 좀더 나은 방법을 제안하였다.

Effect of Alternating Vacuum and Release Process on Drying Characteristics of Log Cross Section during Radio Frequency Drying

  • Log cross sections of yellow poplar were dried in a radio frequency vacuum (RFV) dryer under alternating vacuum and release (AVR) process. The average moisture content (MC), temperature and vapor pressure at the volumetric center were monitored as functions of time. Three different log thicknesses (33, 60 and 75mm) were tested. The results show that the AVR process caused an increase in the drying rate when the moisture content was above fiber saturation point (FSP, about 30% MC) but that it had an inverse effect on the drying rate when the MC was below FSP. The effect of the AVR process on the drying rate decreased, and the severity of heart checks increased, with the increase in the thickness of the specimens.

Right anterior mini-thoracotomy aortic valve replacement versus transcatheter aortic valve implantation in octogenarians: a single-center retrospective study

  • Background: The aim of this study was to compare the early outcomes of octogenarians undergoing minimally invasive right anterior mini-thoracotomy aortic valve replacement (RAT-AVR) with those undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for aortic valve disease. Methods: In this single-center retrospective study, data were collected from octogenarians before and after RAT-AVR and TAVI between January 2021 and July 2022. Short-term outcomes, including the length of hospital stay, in-hospital mortality, all-cause mortality, and other major postoperative complications, were compared and analyzed. Results: There were no significant differences in in-hospital mortality, stroke, acute kidney dysfunction requiring renal replacement therapy, length of intensive care unit stay, or length of hospital stay. However, the TAVI group had a higher incidence of permanent pacemaker insertion (10% vs. 0%, p=0.54) and paravalvular leaks (75% vs. 0%, p<0.001). Conclusion: In the present study on octogenarians, both TAVI and RAT-AVR showed comparable short-term results. Although both procedures were considered safe and effective in the selected group, RAT-AVR had a lower incidence of complete atrioventricular block and paravalvular regurgitation.

Power System Rotor Angle Stability Improvement via Coordinated Design of AVR, PSS2B, and TCSC-Based Damping Controller

  • The current study is dedicated to design a novel coordinated controller to effectively increase power system rotor angle stability. In doing so, the coordinated design of an AVR (automatic voltage regulator), PSS2B, and TCSC (thyristor controlled series capacitor)-based POD (power oscillation damping) controller is proposed. Although the recently employed coordination between a CPSS (conventional power system stabilizer) and a TCSC-based POD controller has been shown to improve power system damping characteristics, neglecting the negative impact of existing high-gain AVR on the damping torque by considering its parameters as given values, may reduce the effectiveness of a CPSS-POD controller. Thus, using a technologically viable stabilizer such as PSS2B rather than the CPSS in a coordinated scheme with an AVR and POD controller can constitute a well-established design with a structure that as a high potential to significantly improve the rotor angle stability. The design procedure is formulated as an optimization problem in which the ITSE (integral of time multiplied squared error) performance index as an objective function is minimized by employing an IPSO (improved particle swarm optimization) algorithm to tune adjustable parameters. The robustness of the coordinated designs is guaranteed by concurrently considering some operating conditions in the optimization process. To evaluate the performance of the proposed controllers, eigenvalue analysis and time domain simulations were performed for different operating points and perturbations simulated on 2A4M (two-area four-machine) power systems in MATLAB/Simulink. The results reveal that surpassing improvement in damping of oscillations is achieved in comparison with the CPSS-TCSC coordination.

저사양 8-bit AVR 프로세서 상에서의 초경량 블록 암호 알고리즘 CHAM 메모리 최적화 구현 (Memory-Efficient Implementation of Ultra-Lightweight Block Cipher Algorithm CHAM on Low-End 8-Bit AVR Processors)

  • 간단한 덧셈, 회전연산, 그리고 XOR 연산자로 구성된 초경량 블록 암호 알고리즘 CHAM은 저사양 사물인터넷과 고사양의 플랫폼 상에서 모두 효율적인 구현이 가능하다. 특히 CHAM 블록 암호 알고리즘은 저사양 사물인터넷 플랫폼 상에서 연산속도를 향상시키는 방안에 대해 심도있게 고민된 알고리즘이다. 본 논문에서는 저사양 사물인터넷 플랫폼 8-비트 AVR 상에서 매우 제한적인 프로그램 메모리 공간을 최소로 하면서 연산속도는 극대화하는 방안에 대해 확인해 보도록 한다. 이를 위해 프로그램 코드는 1 라운드 혹은 2 라운드 기반의 부분 반복문을 활용하였으며 라운드 키 접근을 효율화하기 위해 메모리 공간을 정렬하였다. 최소한의 레지스터 활용 및 데이터 업데이트를 통해 성능 향상 및 코드 크기를 최적화하였다. 그 결과 CHAM 64/128, 128/128, 그리고 128/256의 경우 RANK 파라미터 상에서 29.9, 18.0, 그리고 13.4를 달성하였다. 이는 현존하는 블록암호 알고리즘 구현 중 최상의 결과이다.

복부 대동맥류의 임상적 경험 (Clinical Experience of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm)

  • A total and consecutive 87 patients underwent aortic valve replacement[AVR with the St. Jude Medical prosthesis between 1984 and 1993. Age ranged from 14 to 66 years[mean:38.6$\pm$ 14.0 years .Twenty-one patients [24.1% had undergone previous valve replacement. There were 8 early deaths with an operative mortality rate of 9.2% [7.6% for primary AVR and 14.3 % for re-replacement AVR . Seventy-nine early survivors were,followed for a total of 309.1 patient-years[mean:3.9$\pm$ 2.5 years . A late mortality rate was 5.1% [4 patients or a linearized incidence of 1.294 %/patient-year. All were anticoagulated with coumadin to maintain the international normal ized ratio[INR between 1.5 and 2.5. One patient experienced thromboembolism[0.324%/patient-year , and none did bleeding. Endocarditis occurred in one[0.324%/patient-year . Paravalvular leak was the most frequent complication and was experienced by 8 patients[2.588%/patient-year , and 5 of them required re-replacement AVR[1.618 %/patient year of reoperation rate . There was no structural failure of the prosthesis. Actuarial survival including operative death was 83.9%$\pm$ 4.6% at 10 years.The actuarial estimates of freedom from thromboembolism and of freedom from late death and all complications were 95.1% $\pm$ 4.8 % and 81.4% $\pm$ 6.1%, respectively, at 10 years. These clinical results suggest that less intensive anticoagulation may be allowed for patients of AVR with the St. Jude Medical valve with low incidences of both thromboembolic and bleeding complications.

2단 3상 PWM AC/DC 컨버터를 이용한 동기발전기 여자제어시스템 (A Study on Excitation System for Synchronous Generator Using Two State Three Phase PWM AC/DC Converter)

  • 동기발전기의 출력전압은 여자 시스템의 계자 전류 제어에 의해 일정하게 유지된다. 현재 대부분의 발전기 여자기의 여자전류제어를 위해 사용되는 AVR 시스템의 AC/DC 컨버터 부는 출력전압 제어가 가능한 위상제어 컨버터나 출력전압을 제어할 수 없는 다이오드 정류기와 DC/DC 컨버터를 결합하여 사용하고 있다. AC/DC 전력 변환장치로서 위상제어 컨버터나 출력전압을 제어할 수 없는 다이오드 정류기의 경우, AVR시스템의 전력을 공급하는 모선의 역률저하 및 저차 고조파 발생의 문제점을 야기 시키게 된다. 본 논문에서는 동기발전기의 여자전류 제어를 위해 사용되는 AVR 시스템 설계에 있어 단위역률 동작이 가능한 Boost형 AC/DC 컨버터와 모선의 부하변동에 속응성 있게 동작할 수 있는 전류 제어형 Buck 컨버터를 결합한 2단 3상 PWM AC/DC 컨버터에 대해 연구하였다. 제안된 AC/DC 컨버터를 시뮬레이션 한 결과 Boost 컨버터의 경우 단위 역률 동작 및 출력 DC 전압의 Boost 동작이 원할히 이루어졌으며, Buck 컨버터의 경우 다른 위상제어 컨버터에 비해 응답시간이 개선되었음을 알 수 있었다.

Early Clinical Experience with Sutureless Aortic Valve Replacement for Severe Aortic Stenosis

  • Background: Sutureless aortic valve replacement (SU-AVR) has been developed as an alternative surgical treatment for patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis (AS). The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of SU-AVR through an assessment of hemodynamic performance and safety. Methods: From December 2014 to June 2016, a total of 12 consecutive patients with severe AS underwent SU-AVR. The endpoints were overall survival and valve-related complications (paravalvular leakage, valve thrombosis, migration, endocarditis, and permanent pacemaker implantation). The mean follow-up duration was $18.1{\pm}8.6months$. Results: The mean age of the patients was $77.1{\pm}5.8years$ and their mean Society of Thoracic Surgeons score was $9.2{\pm}17.7$. The mean cardiopulmonary bypass and aortic cross-clamp times were $94.5{\pm}37.3$ minutes and $54.9{\pm}12.5minutes$, respectively. Follow-up echocardiography showed good prosthesis function with low transvalvular pressure gradients (mean, $13.9{\pm}8.6mm\;Hg$ and peak, $27.2{\pm}15.0mm\;Hg$) at a mean of $9.9{\pm}4.2months$. No cases of primary paravalvular leakage, valve thrombosis, migration, or endocarditis were reported. A new permanent pacemaker was implanted in 1 patient (8.3%). The 1-year overall survival rate was $83.3%{\pm}10.8%$. Conclusion: Our initial experience with SU-AVR demonstrated excellent early clinical outcomes with good hemodynamic results. However, there was a high incidence of permanent pacemaker implantation compared to the rate for conventional AVR, which is a problem that should be solved.

사물 인터넷 프로세서 8-bit AVR 상에서의 경량암호 TinyJAMBU 고속 최적 구현 (A High Speed Optimized Implementation of Lightweight Cryptography TinyJAMBU on Internet of Things Processor 8-Bit AVR)

  • 암호 알고리즘은 많은 연산 자원을 요구하며 복잡한 수학적 원리를 통해 보안성을 가진다. 하지만 대부분의 사물인터넷 기기는 가용 자원이 한정적이며 그에 따라 연산 성능이 부족하다. 따라서 연산량을 적게 사용하는 경량암호가 등장하였다. 미국 국립표준기술연구소는 경량암호 표준화 공모전을 개최하여 경량암호의 원활한 보급을 꾀했다. 공모전의 알고리즘 중 하나인 TinyJAMBU는 순열 기반의 알고리즘이다. TinyJAMBU는 키 스케줄을 거치지 않는 대신 많은 순열 연산을 반복하며, 이때 시프트 연산이 주로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 8-bit AVR 프로세서상에서 경량암호 TinyJAMBU를 고속 최적 구현하였다. 제안 기법은 시프트 연산을 반대 방향으로 하여 시프트 횟수를 최소화한 리버스 시프트 기법과 키와 논스가 고정인 환경에서 일부 연산을 사전 연산한 기법이다. 제안 기법은 순열연산에서 최대 7.03배, TinyJAMBU 알고리즘에 적용 시 최대 5.87배 성능 향상을 보였다. 키와 논스가 고정인 환경에서는 TinyJAMBU의 알고리즘이 최대 9.19배만큼 성능이 향상되었다.

금연구역관리 시스템 개발 (A design of Non-smoking Area Control System)

  • Nowaday, prohibition of smoking is getting more important issue. So we designed "non-smoking area control system". This system is organized with AVR(ATmega8535), smoke sensor, comparator(LM339) and etc. In non-smoking condition sensor's output voltage is about 5V, and in smoking condition sensor's output voltage is under 5V. So we used comparator(LM339) to devide two conditions. In both conditions AVR(ATmega8535) transmits datas to the computer of administrator. At this time method of communication is RS-232.
