Design and Implementation of Automatic Detection Method of Corners of Grid Pattern from Distortion Corrected Image (왜곡보정 영상에서의 그리드 패턴 코너의 자동 검출 방법의 설계 및 구현)

  • For a variety of vision systems such as car omni-directional surveillance systems and robot vision systems, many cameras have been equipped and used. In order to detect corners of grid pattern in AVM(Around View Monitoring) systems, after the non-linear radial distortion image obtained from wide-angle camera is corrected, corners of grids of the distortion corrected image must be detected. Though there are transformations such as Sub-Pixel and Hough transformation as corner detection methods for AVM systems, it is difficult to achieve automatic detection by Sub-Pixel and accuracy by Hough transformation. Therefore, we showed that the automatic detection proposed in this paper, which detects corners accurately from the distortion corrected image could be applied for AVM systems, by designing and implementing it, and evaluating its performance.

  • For the treatment of arteriovenous malformations (AVM), we developed a new liquid embolic material and named it Embol. The material was pre-tested in an in vitro AVM model and tested in rete mirabile of pigs that is similar in structure with the AVM in human. We report on the construction of the in vitro AVM model, the pre-test results of Embol in the AVM model, and the animal test result in pig rete mirabile.

  • 최근 자동차 산업의 활성화로 인해 교통사고가 문제화 되면서 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있는 운전자 보조시스템 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 AVM 시스템(Around-View Monitoring System)에 대한 연구 및 개발이 활발해 지고 있다. 기존 AVM 시스템은 차량 주변 상황을 실시간으로 제공하기 위해 임베디드 시스템 또는 SoC(System on Chip)의 형태로 개발되었다. 그러나 Car PC가 차량에 장착되면 AVM 시스템을 추가의 비용이 없이 소프트웨어만으로 시스템을 개발할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 Car PC 기반의 AVM 시스템 기능에 위치 정보 기능을 추가하여 위치정보를 제공하는 AVM 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

Determination of Abamectin Residue in Paprika by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

  • Reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) techniques were developed to quantify abamectin (ABM) in paprika (Capsicum annum). Separation was achieved on a $C_{18}$ ODS column with a mobile phase of acetonitrile/water (96/4, v/v) mixture in an isocratic elution at the flow tate of 1.2 mL/min for avermectins (AVMs). The retention times were 8.0 and 9.7mins for AVM $B_{lb}$ and AVM $B_{1a}$, respectively. Residual AVMs (sum of AVM $B_{1a}$, AVM $B_{1b}$ and 8,9-Z-AVM $B_{1a}$) in the vegetable were extracted with acetonitrile, and the silica solid-phase extraction cartridges were used to purify the extract. AVMs were derivatized using trifluoroacetic acid and 1-methylimidazole, and the derivatives were determined with a fluorescence detector (excitation at 365 nm and emission at 470 nm). High and consistent recoveries, ranging from 93% to 115%, were obtained for AVM $B_{1a}$ and 8, 9-Z-AVM $B_{1a}$ at fortified levels of $20{\mu}g/kg\;and\;200{\mu}g/kg$ for paprika. The limit of quantitation (LOQ) was $2{\mu}g/kg$. The residual levels of AVMs in paprika in a field experiment from one day to seven days after the last application decreased from 18.40 to $7.59{\mu}g/kg$. The half-life $(T_{1/2})$ of AVMs in paprika was 1.47 days.

Acute Spontaneous Subdural Hematoma due to Rupture of a Tiny Cortical Arteriovenous Malformation

  • Acute subdural hematoma (SDH) of arterial origin is rare, especially SDH associated with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is extremely rare. The authors report a case of acute spontaneous SDH due to rupture of a tiny cortical AVM. A 51-year-old male presented with sudden onset headache and mentality deterioration without a history of trauma. Brain CT revealed a large volume acute SDH compressing the right cerebral hemisphere with subfalcine and tentorial herniation. Emergency decompressive craniectomy was performed to remove the hematoma and during surgery a small (5 mm sized) conglomerated aciniform mass with two surrounding enlarged vessels was identified on the parietal cortex. After warm saline irrigation of the mass, active bleeding developed from a one of the vessel. The bleeding was stopped by coagulation and the vessels were removed. Histopathological examination confirmed the lesion as an AVM. We concluded that a small cortical AVM existed at this area, and that the cortical AVM had caused the acute SDH. Follow up conventional angiography confirmed the absence of remnant AVM or any other vascular abnormality. This report demonstrates rupture of a cortical AVM is worth considering when a patient presents with non-traumatic SDH without intracerebral hemorrhage or subarachnoid hemorrhage.

  • Currently, car black box, and CCTV products, such as image processing are prevalent on the market giving convenience to users.In particular, the black box of the driver driving a vehicle accident that occurred at the time to help identify the cause of the accident is gaining. Black box, the front or rear of the vehicle can check the image only. Because of the angle of view of the driver's vision or the black box can not determine a non-scene. In order to solve this problem by a more advanced system, the black box AVM (Around-View Monitoring) systems have been developed. AVM system to the vehicle's top-view images obtained before and after, left and right of the image, ie, $360^{\circ}$ image of the vehicle can be secured. AVM system must be installed on the vehicle, a desktop that you can acquire images Cling conditions. In this paper, we propose an Android-based tablet using the AVM system of the vehicle can achieve a $360^{\circ}$ image you want to design the system.

  • 최근 네비게이션, GPS 등과 같은 운전 보조를 위한 장치 및 DVD 플레이어 등과 같은 운전자의 인포테인먼트 요구를 위한 장치 등 다양한 차량용 ECU들이 등장하고 있다. 차량용 네트워크를 통해 다양한 ECU들을 연결하여 상호 협력을 통해 ECU 고유 기능뿐만 아니라 추가의 기능을 수행할 수 있는 다양한 기술도 활발히 연구되고 있다. 차량용 네트워크를 통해 다양한 ECU들이 연결되어 상호 동작하기 위해서는 다양한 ECU 및 네트워크를 관리하는 서버 역할을 할 수 있는 고성능의 Car PC 의 장착이 필수적이다. 기존 AVM 시스템은 차량 주변 상황을 실시간으로 제공하기 위해 임베디드 시스템 또는 SOC의 형태로 개발되었다. 그러나, Car PC가 차량에 장착되면 AVM 시스템을 추가의 비용이 없는 소프트웨어로 구현할 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 차량 주변 영상을 실시간으로 제공할 수 있도록 카메라 보정 같은 영상 처리 모듈의 성능이 실시간 영상을 제공할 수 있는 성능을 갖추어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 차량의 전 후방 및 좌 우측에 장착된 4대의 카메라로부터 입력된 차량 주변 상황을 한눈에 보여주는 AVM 시스템을 위해 카메라 보정 및 통합 처리를 위한 모듈을 스레드(thread)를 이용하여 설계하고 구현한다. 또한, 제안하는 영상 처리 모듈의 성능과 스레드를 사용하지 않는 방식의 영상 처리 모듈의 성능을 비교 분석함으로써 제안하는 영상 처리 모듈을 이용하여 추가의 비용이 없는 소프트웨어 AVM 시스템의 구현 가능성을 검증한다.

  • Currently, various sensors have been used for advanced driver assistance systems. In order to overcome the limitations of individual sensors, sensor fusion has recently attracted the attention in the field of intelligence vehicles. Thus, vision and radar based sensor fusion has become a popular concept. The typical method of sensor fusion involves vision sensor that recognizes targets based on ROIs (Regions Of Interest) generated by radar sensors. Especially, because AVM (Around View Monitor) cameras due to their wide-angle lenses have limitations of detection performance over near distance and around the edges of the angle of view, for high performance of sensor fusion using AVM cameras and radar sensors the exact ROI extraction of the radar sensor is very important. In order to resolve this problem, we proposed a sensor fusion scheme based on commercial radar modules of the vendor Delphi. First, we configured multiple radar data logging systems together with AVM cameras. We also designed radar post-processing algorithms to extract the exact ROIs. Finally, using the developed hardware and software platforms, we verified the post-data processing algorithm under indoor and outdoor environments.

  • 본 논문에서는 좁고 곡률이 큰 도로에서의 자율 주행을 위한 AVM 시스템 기반의 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 전방을 주시하는 모노/스테레오 카메라를 이용한 차선 인식 방법을 이용한 자율주행 알고리즘은 모노/스테레오 카메라의 제한된 FOV (Field of View)로 인해 좁고 곡률이 큰 도로에서의 자율 주행에 한계가 있다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 AVM 시스템을 기반으로 하여 이 한계를 극복하고자 한다. AVM 시스템에서 얻은 영상을 차선의 색상 정보를 이용해 차선의 영역을 이진화 한다. 이진화 영상으로부터, 차량의 뒷바퀴 주변의 관심영역을 시작으로 재귀적 탐색법을 이용하여 좌, 우 차선을 검출한다. 검출된 좌, 우 차선의 중앙선을 차량의 경로로 삼고 조향각을 산출해 낸다. 제한하는 알고리즘을 실제 차량에 적용시킨 실험을 수행하였고, 운전면허 시험장의 코스를 차선의 이탈없이 주행 가능함을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

Recurrent Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation in a Child : Case Report and Review of the Literature

  • Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are generally considered to be cured following angiographically proven complete resection. However, rare instances of AVM recurrence have been reported in both children and adults with negative findings on postoperative angiography. The authors present the case of a 12-year-old boy with recurrent AVM. The AVM was originally fed by the pericallosal arteries on both sides, and it showed changing patterns of supply at recurrence. The authors concluded that a negative postoperative angiogram is not necessarily indicative of a cure. Repeat angiography and regular follow-up examinations should be performed to exclude the possibility of recurrence, especially in children.
