One of the major issues in the implementation and maintenance of CIM databases is the sharing and exchange of information among the heterogeneous databases. This paper addresses some architectural aspects for integrating the heterogeneous multi-databases using knowledge-based expert systems. we propose a loosely integrated coupling system between databases and knowledge-based expert systems. Especially we suggest the architectural aspects of such a coupling methodology. we also present the structure and knowledge representation scheme for the proposed knowledge-based expert system. A prototype example is included to illustrate the framework and its mechanism for implementation.

This study has two main purposes. One is to explore the relationship between syntactic aspects and prosodic aspects in Standard Korean. The other is to provide speech synthesis with the information about such relationship. This study will focus on the prosodic behavior of subjective particles'-i/-ga', '-eun/-neun'. The prosodic features of subjective particles are described respectively. How do the elements such as the position of particles in a sentence, the sentence constituents, the length of the sentence and the rhythmic boundaries influence on the prosodic behavior are also investigated.

Characteristics of high temperature rocket nozzle flow is discussed along with the aspects of computational analysis. Three methods of nozzle flow analysis, frozen-equilibrium, shifting-equilibrium and non-equilibrium approaches, were discussed those were coupled with the methods of computational fluid dynamics. A chemical equilibrium code developed for the analysis of general hydrocarbon fuel was coupled with three approaches of nozzle flow analysis, and a test was made for a bell nozzle at typical operation condition. As a results, the characteristics of the approaches were discussed in aspects of rocket performance, thermal analysis and computational efficiency.

General aspects of deepwater petroleum exploration and production were identified and related technical challenges were addressed. Historical perspectives, insight, processes, and engineering applications are reviewed to enhance the design capability of the domestic offshore industry. The technical challenges and unique aspects of deepwater exploration and production were identified. The assessment of deepwater exploration, drilling, and production systems is a key stage for performing the front end engineering design (FEED). The global trends in deepwater development, including the feasibility for Korea, were reviewed.

This article describes a novel model-based compensating neural network (NN) model developed to be used in our active binocular head controller, which addresses both the kinematics and dynamics aspects in trying to precisely track a moving object of interest to keep it in view. The compensating NN model is constructed using two classes of self-tuning neural models: namely Neural Gas (NG) algorithm and SoftMax function networks. The resultant servo controller is shown to be able to handle the tracking problem with a minimum knowledge of the dynamic aspects of the system.

Cylindrical shells of isotropic and composite laminated materials are being used many engineering applications. This paper reviews the literature focusing on various aspects of shell research. The aspects of research receiving interest here are the cylindrical theory being used, the stress, buckling analysis and the impact analysis. The vibration analyses and stiffening characteristics of the cylindrical shell are investigated. The design optimizations of the cylindrical shell are reviewed. The studies on the conical and spherical shell are also reviewed. This review aticles contain 236 referencees.

The purpose of the study is to investigate multifaced aspects of angle concepts and the developments of angle concept and to examine textbooks in relation to above investigation. In this study, we obtain the following results. First, angle concepts have static and dynamic aspects and develop situated angle concepts, contextual angle concepts, abstract angle concepts, through formal angle concepts. Second, our textbooks emphasize abstract angle concepts and formal angle concepts but lack situated angle concepts and contextual angle concepts.

본 연구는 핵 폐기물의 중심부에서 거리가 변화함에 따른 온도 곡선을 포함하여 폐기물 처리 계획을 이해하기 위한 수학적 모델이 적용되었다. 지열 문제를 위하여 수식의유도, 수치결과 및 제한점들을 평가하였으며 본 연구 결과와 절차로부터 방사성 물질로 인한 온도의 변화를 예측할 수 있다.

Aspects of the scintillation mechanism in organic systems obtained on the base of precise measurements of the radioluminescence pulse shape are discussed. It shown that the process of scintillation light pulse formation is mainly determined by initial conditions of exited states generation.
