Probabilistic Analysis of AIS.31 Statistical Tests for TRNGs and Their Applications to Security Evaluations (진난수발생기용 난수성 검정 방법 AIS.31에 대한 확률론적 분석 및 보안성 평가 적용 방법)

  • SP 800-90B of NIST(USA) and AIS.31 of BSI(Germany) are representative statistical tests for TRNGs. In this paper, we concentrate on AIS.31 which is under the ongoing international standardization process. We examine the probabilistic meaning of each statistic of the test in AIS.31 and investigate its probability distribution. By changing significance level and the length of sample bits, we obtain formalized accept region of the test. Furthermore we propose the accept regions for some iterative tests, that are not mentioned in AIS.31, and provide some simulations.

  • 현재 진행 중인 '스마트 항로표지 현장시설 고도화 연구'는 '확장이 용이한 다목적 플랫폼 설계', '스마트 항로표지용 최적 통신장치 개발' 등이 포함되어 있다. 이 중 AIS-ASM은 AIS를 기반으로 특정 응용에 특화된 메시지를 보낼 수 있는 수단이며, ASM에 대한 활용 가능성이 증대됨에 따라, ITU-R M.2092-0에서는 두 개의 AIS 채널과는 별도로, 두 개의 ASM 채널을 새로 할당하였다. IALA-AISM에서는 각국의 ASM 메시지를 수집하여 제공하고 있는데, 본 논문에서는 이들을 분석하여 현재 운용하고 있는 항로표지 관련 메시지를 살펴보고, 향후 스마트 항로표지에서 활용 가능할 것으로 기대되는 메시지들을 정리한다.

PARK Formula Can Replace "Guide to Medical Certificate" Published by Korean Medical Association in Deciding the Treatment Duration

  • Purpose: Many doctors have difficulty in deciding the treatment duration in trauma patients to write in the casualty medical certificate. We tried to find a solution for this problem by using abbreviated injury scale (AIS). Methods: A total of 39 patients treated in our regional trauma center who requested an author to write treatment duration on casualty medical certificate from January 2014 to April 2017 were included. And the treatment duration was decided based on the PARK Formula (AIS). PARK Formula $(AIS)=(AIS{\times}2){\sim}([AIS{\times}2]+2)$ Results: Among 39 patients included and 36 (92.3%) had treatment duration on casualty medical certificate within the range of treatment duration calculated by PARK Formula (AIS). Compared to the PARK Formula (AIS), the mean value was 0.13 week (0.90 day) smaller. Comparing the treatment duration between Korean Medical Association (KMA) guideline and PARK Formula (AIS), only 22 patients (56.4%) showed agreement. The mean value was 1.02 week (7.18 days) smaller in KMA guideline. Conclusions: For the decision of the treatment duration in trauma patients, utilizing worldwide used AIS scoring system is very efficient. Using PARK Formula (AIS), doctors can document the treatment duration in the casualty medical certificate with ease. KMA should provide more practical 'treatment duration of each diagnosis in writing casualty medial certificate' for the doctors. We recommend PARK Formula (AIS) as a good alternative for KMA guide.

A Study on the Perception and Evaluation of the Socioeconomic Value of the Agricultural Income Survey (농산물소득조사의 사회경제적 가치 인식 및 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed farmers' and experts' perceptions of the Agricultural Income Survey (AIS) conducted by the Rural Development Administration and estimated its socioeconomic value. The research surveyed 104 farmers in Gyeongsangbuk-do and Jeollanam-do. To estimate the AIS's socioeconomic value, this study examined public information projects in the field of agriculture and public information, proposing an estimation methodology based on prior research. The socioeconomic value of the AIS was calculated in three stages (information generation, collection and analysis, and utilization) using the replacement cost and contingent valuation methods. In 2020, the estimated socioeconomic value of the AIS ranged from a minimum of KRW 631.2 billion to a maximum of KRW 799.1 billion per year. To improve the socioeconomic value of the AIS, it is important to booster awareness, expand sample sizes for more reliable data, increase manpower and budget, refine survey questions, and enhance analyzing capabilities. And it's crucial to foster cooperation with surveyed farms, promote collaboration among investigative agencies, improve investigator skills, and strengthen management capabilities to facilitate information dissemination.

The Relationship Between Information Technology Structure and Management Accounting Information in AIS (AIS의 정보기술구조와 관리회계정보 활용간의 적합성 분석)

  • This study is to analyze the effect of compatibility of information characteristics and information technology structure on AIS performance. This used financial and non-financial factors as the characteristics of management accounting information and used information technology structure as centralization and decentralization classified by Ahtuv et.(1989) and Fiedler et.(1996). 425 sampling companies are selected randomly and 137 of them were used in this study. The results of this study are as follows. First, In compatibility analysis between the characteristics of management accounting information and information technology structure, in case of companies which have centralized data process system, AIS performance of companies which use financial information is higher than that of companies which use non-financial information. However, no meaningful results show statistically. in case of companies which have decentralized data process system, AIS performance of companies which use non-financial information is higher than that of companies which use financial information. Also the statistical results show the meaning at the p. < 0.01.

  • '스마트 항로표지 현장시설 고도화 연구'를 통해 항로표지의 상태뿐만 아니라, 다양한 센서를 통해 해상정보를 수집하고, 이를 선박과 육상 연계시스템에 전파하는 방안이 논의되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 항로표지에서 신규 정보서비스를 제공하기 위해 AIS 서비스와 데이터 모델, AIS AtoN 기지국의 필수 기능, ASM 도입 절차 등을 검토하고, 스마트 항로표지 통합 플랫폼에 장착할 센서들의 정보를 선박에 제공하는 방안을 제시한다. 이미 선정된 센서들의 정보의 경우 국제적 ASM 31번 메시지로 정보 제공이 가능하며, 기존에 논의되지 않은 신규 센서의 활용이 결정되면, 지역 ASM 메시지를 새로 정의하여 정보를 제공할 수 있다.

  • Maritime traffic engineering is a technical field that observes the flow of vessels' traffic in accurate and describes the feature of ship's movement statistically, then contributes for the improvement of traffic flow and the safety of traffic. The flow of marine traffic can be controlled by carrying out assessment and analysis of vessel's traffic. It can realize the safety of marine traffic by accurate research and analysis of vessel's traffic, understanding its flow and analysis data of vessel traffic. This study shows the analysis system of marine traffic connected with Radar, AIS based on ENC(Electronic Navigational Chart). The marine traffic analysis system contributes to the safety of marine traffic through the design of marine traffic route, harbour facilities and improvement of vessels' traffic flow.

  • In this paper, authors introduce about wide vessel traffic service(VTS) system using automatic identification system(AIS). In order to develop the prototype of wide VTS system, Koreasat is used for AIS. In this system, ship position obtained by using GPS is reported automatically to VTS center through Koreasat. By using this system, VTS center can cover more wide area than the case using radar only. And the uncertainty of information decreases. The results of test show the good possibility of VTS using satellite and AIS.

  • The maritime traffic is more complex these days. It is more hard for the small fishing ships to navigated in shores. The requirements for the navigate information system to protect the sea environments and support the small fishing ships are more increased. However, the Inmarsat communication system is too burden to the fishermen with the expensive terminal and call fees. We propose the wireless digital fishing information network which use the existing MF/HF SSB communications system by connecting I-PHONE, PDA, NetBook, Notebook, PC, etc with the PSK31 method and AIS(Automatic Identification System) on the MF/HF radio Band.

Presence of Thrombectomy-capable Stroke Centers Within Hospital Service Areas Explains Regional Variation in the Case Fatality Rate of Acute Ischemic Stroke in Korea

  • Objectives: This study aimed to explore the status of regional variations in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) treatment and investigate the association between the presence of a thrombectomy-capable stroke center (TSC) and the case fatality rate (CFR) of AIS within hospital service areas (HSAs). Methods: This observational cross-sectional study analyzed acute stroke quality assessment program data from 262 hospitals between 2013 and 2016. TSCs were defined according to the criteria of the Joint Commission. In total, 64 HSAs were identified based on the addresses of hospitals. We analyzed the effects of structure factors, process factors, and the presence of a TSC on the CFR of AIS using multivariate logistic regression. Results: Among 262 hospitals, 31 hospitals met the definition of a TSC. Of the 64 HSAs, only 20 had a TSC. At hospitals, the presence of a stroke unit, the presence of stroke specialists, and the rate of endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) treatment were associated with reductions in the CFR. In HSAs, the rate of EVT treatment (odds ratio [OR], 0.98; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.97 to 0.99) and the presence of a TSC (OR, 0.93; 95% CI, 0.88 to 0.99) significantly reduced the CFR of AIS. Conclusions: The presence of a TSC within an HSA, corresponding to structure and process factors related to the quality of care, contributed significantly to lowering the CFR of AIS. The CFR also declined as the rate of treatment increased. This study highlights the importance of TSCs in the development of an acute stroke care system in Korea.
