Computation Algorithm for Launch Acceptability Region of Air-to-Surface Missiles (공대지 유도탄의 발사유효범위(LAR) 산출 알고리듬)

  • A weapon control algorithm equipped on a fighter is closely related to the mission accomplishment and fighter survivability during the engagement. In the case of a air-to-surface missile, the weapon control algorithm typically provides a pilot the target shoot-down possible region known as launch acceptability region(LAR) in the multi function display(MFD). LAR is produced by the range table(RT) through computation of an engagement range. In this paper, the operation system of AGM-84 and AGM-88 air-to-surface missiles is introduced. And the engagement range computation and LAR algorithm based on the real-time pseudo 6-DOF simulation are proposed. In order to verify the performance of the algorithm, numerical engagement simulations of air-to-surface missiles to produce LAR have been done.

  • BY the Transformers and reactors, the input electrical energy is converted into magnetic energy. At the end through the magnetic energy was passed at the output parameter. Specially At the flyback transformer or a reactor airgap were designed to contain more magnetic energy. But that work is very difficult for the optimal design. It is that Contradictions are between the length of the Air-gap, Winding inductance, DC bias. As to e Several conflicting conditions in order to determine the optimum Air-gap has a lot of experience and trial & error is necessary. The approach proposed in this paper, the auxiliary winding on the core attached to part of primary core, that by applying a DC voltage has a dramatic effect like Core with designed Air-gap. This inventiveness and advantage is to regulate arbitrarily the Saturation Flux Quantity by the input signal to secondary winding. Accordingly obtained the biggest effect is that increasing limits of the saturation current destined by the material and shape of the conventional core. In other words, that can decreas the size of the transformer and reactor, While maintaining the current saturation capacity. An experimental analysis of the sound reduction characteristics of air transparent noise barriers (통기형 방음벽의 음향감쇠 특성에 대한 실험적 분석)

  • The present study describes the acoustical characteristics of the new noise barriers which can control not only noise but also wind pressure by allowing air flow through barriers. In order to investigate the sound reduction index of the air transparent noise barrier, 17 models in total were examined with various size of openings and the volume of the resonators. As a result, it was found that the sound reduction index varies with the volume of the resonator and the area of the openings. Also, it was revealed that double layer of units has more sound reduction index than the single layer of unit at the frequency band from 400 Hz to 1250 Hz. This denoted that physical features of openings and resonators affect the sound reduction index of the air transparent noise barrier.

  • As CAS, X-ATK, and INT models considered as the most typical Air-to-Ground operation models in ROKAF are mainly designed as the voice-centered system between aircraft and ground control facilities, it is critical to newly develop the Link-16 based model for the ROK-US combined operation between F-15K, AWACS, M-SAM, and KDX-III equipped with Link-16. Former studies had been limited to the CAS operation, and they had mainly focused on reducing the voice transmission time to exchange the information between each mission step with maintaining existing operation steps. Therefore, this paper makes up the weak point in former studies, thereby designing new Air-to-Ground operation model for CAS, X-ATK, INT mission using Enterprise Architecture OV6c, which enables both aircraft and ground control facilities or between aircraft to obtain the real-time information on the location, identification, armament and the real-time image data through the broadcasting function. Based on the analysis of new operation model, we come to a conclusion that by simultaneously exchanging the information on mission between nodes concerned through the broadcasting function of Link-16. It is possible to cut down superfluous steps among the mission steps, and to reduce the mission time. It is clear that it gives rise to improve the battle efficiency and the decision-making tempo as well as the battlefield situational awareness.

Response Characteristics of the HIL System for Passenger Diesel Engine (승용 디젤엔진 HIL 시스템의 응답 특성)

  • A HIL(hardware-in-the-loop) system was established and the simulation was carried out to determine whether the system operates normally. The system consists of turbocharger test bench, HIL platform with real time S/W and DAQ, and engine model using Matlab/Simulink. In the simulation the supplied fuel rate is changed step-by-step from 1.8944 kg/h to 4.7360 kg/h. The change of air-fuel ratio is analyzed and observed whether the air-fuel ratio follow the target air-fuel ratio 32. When the supplied fuel rate is changed, the air-fuel ratio is converged to the target air-fuel ratio after about 20 seconds. And the vane duty ratio of turbine and the boost pressure of compressor are also changed properly. Therefore this HIL system can be used to develop the new turbocharger and improve the performance of the modified turbocharger.

  • This paper, in order to minimize the ground waiting time of an Air tanker, the queuing theory, that is, a queue that calculates the waiting time under single-server and multi-server situations, was used in the study. Since the national budget and resources are limited, the unlimited increase of the logistics support service team is limited. Therefore, the number of logistic support service teams that can adaptively control the ground waiting time according to the wartime preparation stage or war environment was calculated. The results of this study provide a stipulated standard for calculating the optimal number of air tanker logistic support service teams of the Air Force, providing a basis for the logistical commander to assign logistic support service teams to each stage from peacetime to wartime.

  • Since the concept of Manned-UnManned Teaming(MUM-T) and Unmanned Aircraft System(UAS) can efficiently respond to rapidly changing battle space, many studies are being conducted as key components of the mosaic warfare environment. In this paper, we propose a rule-based AI engagement model based on Basic Fighter Maneuver(BFM) capable of Within-Visual-Range(WVR) air-to-air combat and a simulation environment in which human pilots can participate. In order to develop a rule-based AI engagement model that can pilot a fighter with a 6-DOF dynamics model, tactical manuals and human pilot experience were configured as knowledge specifications and modeled as a behavior tree structure. Based on this, we improved the shortcomings of existing air combat models. The proposed model not only showed a 100 % winning rate in engagement with human pilots, but also visualized decision-making processes such as tactical situations and maneuvering behaviors in real time. We expect that the results of this research will serve as a basis for development of various AI-based engagement models and simulators for human pilot training and embedded software test platform for fighter.

  • Since the TMI and Chernobyl accidents, many passive safety features are suggested in advanced reactors in order to enhance the safety in future nuclear power plants. In order to verify the effectiveness and provide the data for detailed design of passive cooling system, in the present work, the effects of air inlet position and external condition on the natural circulated air flow rate and the natural and forced convective heat transfer coefficient have been investigated for the one-side heated closed path such as the passive containment cooling system of the Westinghouse's AP-600. A series of experiments have been peformed with the 1/26th scaled segment type test facility of the AP-600 passive containment. Under natural and forced convection, the air velocities and temperatures are measured at several points of the air flow path. The experimental result are compared with a simple one-dimensional model and it shows a good agreement.

  • The national boundary's meanings turn to weak according to advent of Global enterprises. The place for design a product and marketing are separated to actual market. R&D is to the area where the knowledge activity is well, and low skilful product assembling is to the place the low wage is acceptable. It shows that the importance of net work structure. From early 90's, production system is diversified to markets where with the consumer as the central as multifarious items and creation new demands through consumer's participation into manufacturing process. This phenomenon show that logistics structures adapt to demand of technical variation, and the development of e-business with VAN(:value added network) and EDI(:Electronic data interchange) prove it. This study tried to analyze utilitarian assay about systems those land, sea, air logistics through documents research, and this study also present the direction of logistics system of airline company and goal of development on the based to the model of domestic airline company accordingly.

  • This paper proposes a CanSat system with a vehicle tracking function based on Jetson Nano, a high-performance small computer capable of operating artificial intelligence algorithms. The CanSat system consists of a CanSat and a ground station. The CanSat falls in the atmosphere and transmits the data obtained through the installed sensors to the ground station using wireless communication. The existing CanSat is limited to the mission of simply transmitting the collected information to the ground station, and there is a limit to efficiently performing the mission due to the limited fall time and bandwidth limitation of wireless communication. The Jetson Nano based CanSat proposed in this paper uses a pre-trained neural network model to detect the location of a vehicle in each image taken from the air in real time, and then uses a 2-axis motor to move the camera to track the vehicle.
