Effect of Furnace Temperature on the Property of TiN-Coated Layer on Hard Metal by Arc Ion Plating (AIP 코팅법에서 로의 온도가 초경합금의 TiN 코팅층 성질에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of coating temperature with regard to surface properties of TiN-coated layer on hard metal(WC-Co) are experimentally investigated. Hardness, surface roughness, TiN coating thickness and adsorption force were measured in order to evaluate the effect of coating temperature. The two-way ANOVA method is used in order to evaluate the experimental data. In AIP processing, It is concluded that the furnace temperature in the range of $400^{\circ}C\~500^{\circ}C$ affected to a little increasing the number of production with the coating temperature.

  • WW domains are small protein modules consisting of three-stranded antiparallel β-sheet, and involved in the protein-protein interaction for various biological systems. We overexpressed and purified WW2 domain from human AIP4/Itch (a member of Nedd4 family) using a pH/temperature dependent cleavage system. The backbone assignments of WW2 domain were completed, and secondary structure was predicted. Furthermore, backbone flexibility of WW2 domain was determined by 1H-15N heteronuclear NOE and amide hydrogen exchange experiments. The structural information would contribute to the structural determination of WW2 domain as well as the interaction study of WW2 domain with various binding partners.

Fatigue Strength Characteristics of 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V Steel by Improved TiN Coated Processes (TiN코팅 공정 개선에 의한 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V 강재의 피로강도 특성)

  • This paper deals with the effect of coating layer on the fatigue strength of TiN coated 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V steel prepared by using the arc ion plating (AIP) process, in which it was characterized by the presence of extractor grid (ion filter). The rotary bending fatigue tests were carried out under room air conditions, and the fatigue crack initiation and growth bwhavior were observed by using plastic replica method. As experimental results, it was found that the obvious improvement of fatigue life at lower stress region was confirmed in TiN coated specimen processed with ion filter. It was also exlained that the increase of fatigue life in the case of an improved AIP process with ion filter was attributed to the retardation of crack initiation of the substrate surface due to hard coating layer, more densly formed with the reduced size and density of droplets.

The State of the Art on Propulsion System for Submarine (잠수함 추진체계 기술현황)

  • 잠수함추진방식은 크게 원자력 추진과 재래식 추진으로 나눌수 있다. 최근에는 재래식 추진방식과 하이브리드 개념으로 운용될 수 있는 AIP(Air Independent Propulsion)방식도 활발히 연구되고 있다. AIP추진으로는 폐회로 디젤기관추진(Closed Cycle Diesel Engine Propulsion), 연료전지추진(Fuel Cell Propulsion), 스터링기관추진(Stirling Engine Propulsion) 및 폐회로터빈추진(Closed Cycle Turbin Propulsion) 등이 있다. 이러한 잠수함 추진체계에 대해 앞으로 크게 세부분으로 나누어 그 현황과 발전추세를 살펴보고자 한다. 즉, 초기의 순수전기추진방식으로 불리는 재래식 추진체계, 재래식 추진방식의 한계를 극복하기 위해 최근 활발히 연구되고 있는 외기와 무관한 추진장치인 폐회로 추진체계, 그리고 궁극적으로는 에너지의 문제로 귀착되어 거의 무한대의 에너지원을 가지고 있는 원자력 추진체계로 구분하여 그 현황과 발전내용을 살펴 봄으로써 잠수함추진체계의 국내연구 개발방향정립에 조금이나마 보탬이 되었으면 합니다. 또한 차세대 추진장치로 불리는 전자유체 추진방식에 대해서는 한국박용기관 학회지 1993년 4월호 "박용전자유체(MHD) 추진장치"를 참조하시기 바랍니다.조하시기 바랍니다.

  • 본 연구에서는 UMTS[1]에서의 보안 서비스를 실험하고 검증하기 위한 ASPeCT[2]에서 제시한 AIP[3,4] 프로토콜을 위한 개선된 키 복구 프로토콜을 제안한다. AIP 프로토콜은 사용자와 VASP 간에 이루어지는 인증과 지불 초기화를 위한 프로토콜이며 이를 기반으로 하여 이동 통신 기반의 전자상거래가 실현될 수 있다. 제안된 키 복구 프로토콜은 검증 가능한 비밀 공유 프로토콜[5,6,7]을 기반으로 하여 다수의 키 복구 기관과의 연관을 통하여 개선된 안전성을 제공하고 악의적인 사용자가 잘못된 비밀 정보를 키 복구 기관(KRA)에게 위탁하는 것을 방지한다.

Comparative study on impact behavior of TiN and TiAlN coating layer on WC-Co substrate using Arc ion Plating Technique (아크이온 플레이팅법으로 WC-Co에 증착된 TiN 및 TiAlN박막의 충격특성 비교)

  • TiN and TiAlN coating layer were deposited on WC-Co steel substrates by an arc ion plating(AIP) technique. The crystallinity and morphology for the deposited coating layers were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The impact behaviors of the deposited TiN and TiAlN coating layer were investigated with a ball-on-plate impact tester. Beyond $10^2$ impact cycle, TiAlN coating layer showed superior impact wear resistance compared to TiN coating layer. On the other hand, both TiN and TiAlN coating layers started to be partially failed between $10^2$ and $10^3$ impact cycle. Above $10^3$ impact cycle, TiN and TiAlN coating layers showed similar impact behavior because of the substrate effect.

  • In this paper, effect of temperature in TiN-coating by arc ion plating on surface characteristics of a TiN coated high speed steel is investigated by experiments. Hardness, surface roughness, TiN-coating thickness and adsorption force are measured in order to evaluate the effects. For evaluation of the experimental data, one-way ANOVA method is used. It is concluded that the furnace temperature in the range $400^[\circ}C\~500^{\circ}C$ in AIP processing has a little influence on the TiN coating of the SKH51 steels.

  • Arc ion plating (AIP), laser cladding, and nitriding are methods that can prevent mold damage or repair and create cracks and breakages on the die surface. The dissolution and soldering behavior of coated SKD61 by using arc ion plating, laser cladding, and nitriding was investigated. The structure of the coating was investigated as a function of deposition conditions by X-ray diffraction and the crystallographic orientation was determined using the texture factor. The TiAlN film deposited with AIP showed excellent corrosion resistance in the molten aluminum alloy at 680℃. In this paper, we have detailed the corrosion and mass loss phenomena associated with these steel-cast metal interactions.
