Development of AI based Autonomous Driving System for Outdoor Cleaning Robot (실외 청소 로봇를 위한 인공지능기반 자율 주행 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • 실외 자율주행 청소 로봇을 위한 인공지능기반 자율주행 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 ROS(Robot Operationg System) 기반으로 이루어졌으며, 3D 라이다와, 초음파 센서를 활용하여 주변의 장애물을 감지하고 GPS와 영상을 활용하여 로봇의 위치 인식을 하여 자율 주행을 진행하였다. 자율주행 실험결과 영상과 RTK-GPS를 사용하여 정해진 경로를 ±20cm이내의 오차를 가지고 추종하면서 청소를 진행하였다.

  • With the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, discussions on the use of artificial intelligence are actively taking place in many fields, and various policies for nurturing artificial intelligence talents are being promoted in the field of education. In this study, we propose a robot programming framework using artificial intelligence technology, and based on this, we use Python, which is used frequently in the machine learning field, and an educational robot that is highly utilized in the field of education to provide artificial intelligence. (AI) education program was proposed. The level of autonomous driving (levels 0-5) suggested by the International Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is simplified to four levels, and based on this, the camera attached to the robot recognizes and detects lines (objects). The goal was to make a line detector that can move by itself. The developed program is not a standardized form of solving a given problem by simply using a specific programming language, but has the experience of defining complex and unstructured problems in life autonomously and solving them based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It is meaningful.

  • 스마트팩토리의 핵심 설비 기기인 협동로봇의 유지보수를 위해 다양한 센서 데이터를 활용한 딥러닝 기반 결함 진단 연구가 확대되고 있다. 하지만 협동로봇은 기계적 특성과 수행하는 작업의 다양성으로 인해 내부 센서 데이터의 복잡도가 매우 높아 고정적인 결함 진단 기법을 적용하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문은 협동로봇의 동작 패턴을 직관적이고 신속하게 인지할 수 있는 비전 기술을 활용하여, 동작 오류 진단을 기반으로 원인이 되는 조인트 결함 위치를 추적하는 딥러닝 기법을 제안한다.

  • 배달량 확산과 자율 주행 로봇의 실내외 주행이 가능해지면서 로봇을 활용할 주문 및 배달 서비스가 활발해지고 있다. 따라서 기존의 자율 주행 배달 로봇의 문제점을 개선하여 보다 나은 배달 서비스를 제공하고자 자율 주행 배달 로봇을 연구하였다. 배달 로봇에 AI를 적용하여 장애물 탐지, 최적코스 탐색을 통해 목적지까지 최적 경로로 이동하며, 배달 물품 안전까지 보장한다.

  • 스마트팩토리는 협동 로봇과 같은 프로그래머블한 설비의 유기적인 협업을 통해 최적화된 공정을 수행한다. 따라서 수집되는 센서 데이터의 특징과 환경 조건의 복잡도가 높아, 예지보전을 위한 AI 소프트웨어의 개발 시 요구사항 기반의 체계적인 개발 및 검증이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 AI 소프트웨어의 요구사항을 사용자와 시스템 관점에서 정의하고, AI 모델 개발 프로세스와 스마트팩토리 예지보전 측면에서 분석한다. 도출된 요구사항을 CNN 기반의 협동 로봇 기어 마모 예측 모델의 개발에 적용하여 데이터 관리와 모델 신뢰성 관점의 요구사항을 분석 및 검증하였다.

Design and Development of Modular Replaceable AI Server for Image Deep Learning in Social Robots on Edge Devices (엣지 디바이스인 소셜 로봇에서의 영상 딥러닝을 위한 모듈 교체형 인공지능 서버 설계 및 개발)

  • In this paper, we present the design of modular replaceable AI server for image deep learning that separates the server from the Edge Device so as to drive the AI block and the method of data transmission and reception. The modular replaceable AI server for image deep learning can reduce the dependency between social robots and edge devices where the robot's platform will be operated to improve drive stability. When a user requests a function from an AI server for interaction with a social robot, modular functions can be used to return only the results. Modular functions in AI servers can be easily maintained and changed by each module by the server manager. Compared to existing server systems, modular replaceable AI servers produce more efficient performance in terms of server maintenance and scale differences in the programs performed. Through this, more diverse image deep learning can be included in robot scenarios that allow human-robot interaction, and more efficient performance can be achieved when applied to AI servers for image deep learning in addition to robot platforms.

  • The issue of predicting the relationship between humans and AI robots is a 'strong AI' problem. Many experts predict the tragic ending which is a strong AI with superior thinking ability than humans will conquer humans. Due to the expectations of AI robots are projected onto media, the 'morally good AI' that meets human expectations is an important issue. However, the demand for good AI and the realization of perfect technology is not limited to machines. Rather, it appears as a result of putting all responsibility on humans, driving humans into immoral beings and turning them into human and human problems, which is resulting in more alienation and discrimination. As such, the result of technology interacts with the human being used and its properties are determined and developed according to the reaction. This again affects humans. Therefore, AI technology that considers human emotions in consideration of interaction is also important. Therefore, this study will clarify the process that the demand for 'Good AI' in the relationship of AI to humans with Randall Collins' Interaction Ritual Chain. Emotional energy in Interaction Ritual Chain has explained the formation of human bonds. Also, the methodology is a type of thinking experiment and explained through Janet and surrounding characters in the TV show .

  • Robotics is a convergence technology with significant ripple effects across various industries, including manufacturing and services. Its importance has been increasingly underscored by advancements in artificial intelligence. As a crucial industry for addressing the challenges posed by a declining and aging production workforce and for enhancing manufacturing competitiveness, the training of robotics experts is now critically important. This paper examines the case of the Robot Job Innovation Center in Gumi City and proposes a strategy for training robotics experts and specialists in robot/AI-based signal processing. A core curriculum was carefully selected and implemented in actual educational settings, with key components necessary for developing a comprehensive educational framework detailed. The convergence of AI-based data signal processing and robotics represents a significant technological advancement poised to impact a wide array of industries. By proposing the comprehensive educational framework outlined in this paper, it is anticipated that related organizations will be able to effectively utilize these foundational elements to train experts in the field.
