  • Kano(1984) distinguishes five types of Quality requirement which influence customer satisfaction; Attractive, One-dimensional, Must-be, Indifferent, Reverse Quality element. Attractive requirements lead more than proportional satisfaction. Attractive Quality requirements are the key factors of order winner and the sources of customer delight. Attractive requirements do not influence customer satisfaction equally. This study presents Kano's model using AHP(Analysis Hierarchy Process) for the priorities of attractive Quality requirements.

  • The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is widely used for evaluation of large projects. If a group of experts with different expertise are involved in a AHP decision, they need some way to aggregate their opinions. In this paper, we suggest a way to aggregate the experts' priorities in a given hierarchy using the concept of the Bayesian decision analysis. A criterion that can be used for screening out unreliable data is introduced, and it is used for priority aggregation. Some numerical results are shown to illustrate the procedure.

  • This paper presents a DEA-AHP hybrid model to evaluate and select R&D projects. AHP collects and processes information on the weights of evaluation criteria. The processed information is used as an input for DEA/AR model. Only desirable number of projects are selected by the hybrid model. The model is examined by an example generated from a real data set.

  • This paper presents the prototype of corporate credit rating system using analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Prior studios have proposed various models of credit rating system, but most studies considered only financial information. Financial information, however, is only a small part of corporate information. In this study, the proposed credit rating system integrates both financial and non-financial information. Fifteen corporations are tested for the usefulness of the proposed system.

  • Recently financial institutions in Korea are experiencing an unfamiliar challenge in terms of their operational risk management due to the volatility of global financial market and the incessant development of new financial products. In this paper, we present an AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) model to evaluate the effectiveness of commercial softwares for risk management in banking. The AHP model considers software's performance. utility, serviceability and durability as major evaluation criteria. The weight of each criterion is generated by the questionnaire survey given to practitioners in risk management in domestic commercial banks.

  • Railway is huge traffic system which is operated organically combining all the elements; vehicle, track, electric power, signal/communication, operation, etc. Safety level has ben improved steadily by learning lessons from past accident. But with rapid progress in high-speed, massive, high-frequency transit fresh idea of accident prevention is now in order. In quest of effective and efficient countermeasure, we aim to establish an adequate safety evaluation/management method. Our proposals are basic concept relating to safety analysis of fatal accidents, AHP of Saaty, Fuzzy AHP.

  • AHP is a competent methodology for multicriteria decision-making such as selection of technology in research laboratory, which requires the consideration of both quantitative and qualitative factors. This paper considers prioritization of technology alternatives using value functions for evaluating quantitative factors in AHP. Value functions are useful for the reducing questionars in this paper.

  • New product concept evaluation is one of the most important activities among many possible evaluation activities involved in the whole new product process. This paper aims at exploring the applicability of the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to this new product concept evaluation. To this aim, an AHP based concept evaluation model was formulated and explained using an illustrative example. A number of issues were also raised and discussed concerning the applicability of AHP to out problem. Finally, some further research areas were identified.
