교류전기철도 병렬급전 운영을 위한 위상조정장치 제어기법 (A Control Method of Phase Angle Regulator for Parallel-Feeding Operation of AC Traction Power Supply System)

  • 교류전기철도 급전시스템에 병렬급전방식을 적용할 경우, 전동차 부하로 인한 전압강하 및 최대순시부하를 감소시켜 급전구간을 연장하고 급전용량을 향상시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 변전소 간에 위상차가 있을 경우 순환전력이 발생하기 때문에 적용이 제한되며, 전동차 운행에 따른 부하 분포에 따라 변전소 부하 불균형이 커져서 급전용량이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력을 실시간 제어하고 변전소 부하 불균형을 해소하기 위하여 사이리스터 제어 위상조정장치 (TCPAR: Thyristor Controlled Phase Angle Regulator, 이하 TCPAR)를 적용하는 방식을 제안하고, 이를 구현하기 위한 검토를 수행하였다. 전기철도 급전 시스템에 TCPAR을 적용하기 위한 제어 기법으로서, 변전소 공급전력을 입력으로 이용하여 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하 분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력과 변전소 부하 불균형을 효과적으로 억제하는 제어모델을 제시하였다. PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과, 전기철도 병렬급전에 제안한 TCPAR을 적용함으로써 변전소 위상차 및 전동차 부하분포에 따라 변동하는 순환전력 및 변전소 부하 불균형을 효과적으로 억제시킬 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 제안 기법을 전기철도 병렬급전에 적용할 경우, 병렬급전 적용 범위를 확대하고 급전용량을 증가시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • This study established AC-DC system model including DC Link, and then BC Link equation was derived from the model. The equation was included into the calculational algorithm of AC system and solved using fast decoupled method. To minimize the line loss of AC-DC system, optimum theory was applied to the equations.

  • This paper evaluates FACTS control on the available transfer capability (ATC) enhancement. Technical merits of FACTS technology on boosting ATC are analyzed. More effective control means for line flow and bus voltage require the application of FACTS. In this paper, the power flow calculation method for the power systems with FACTS is based on the current injection model (CIM) and the Newton-Raphson method. An integrated scheme for ATC calculation, which considers the dynamic characteristic of the power system, is suggested. The study is applied to the IEEE 57-bus power system to demonstrate the effectiveness of FACTS control on ATC enhancement.

  • This paper describes the development of KEPCO's 80MVA UPFC electromagnetic transient model and the analysis of its performance in the actual Korean power system. KEPCO's 80MVA UPFC is currently undergoing installation and will be ready for commercial operation from the year 2003. In order to apply a new FACTS device such as the UPFC to the actual power system, the utility needs, in advance, both load flow stability studies and transient studies. Therefore, KEPRI, the research institute of KEPCO, developed a detailed transient analysis model that is based on the actual UPFC S/W algorithm and H/W specifications. This simulation model is implemented by an EMTDC/PSCAD package. The results of the simulation show the effectiveness of UPFC operation in the KEPCO power system.

  • 본 논문은 단상 반파 PWM 정류기와 3상 2-leg 인버터를 결합한 단상-삼상 컨버터 회로에서 전원전압의 센서를 제거하여 3상 유도전동기를 저가형으로 구동하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 전원전압의 센서를 제거하기 위해 전원 전류의 실측치와 제어기 내의 모델전류가 일치하도록 관측기를 구성하여 전원전압을 추정한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기법을 사용할 경우 스위칭 소자와 센서 수를 줄이면서 직류전압 일정제어, 입력전류의 정현제어 및 단위 역률 제어가 가능하고 VVVF 교류전압을 얻을 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 3[Hp]의 3상 유도전동기의 V/f 구동에 적용한 실험결과로 제시된 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증한다.

전철 급전계통의 EMTDC 모델개발 (Development of EMTDC Model for Electrified Railroad Supply System)

  • This paper presents the first Simulation model using EMTDC program to analyze the electrified train voltage distribution characteristics in ac auto-transformer 1110 railroads. In general, all of the electrified train supply system has the characteristics that the train supply line is a naturally non-symmetrical and unbalanced system. Also, it is needed to model the Scott transformer which invert the balanced 3-phase quantity into 2-phase. Therefore, the general simulation methodology using previous simplified equivalent circuit or RMS based program can't obtain the accurate results to reflect the real-time operation because these methodology is basically assumed on completely 3-phase balanced system. To overcome these defects, in this paper, the EMTDC simulation model to analysis the completely electrified railroad system with Scott transformer and AC auto-transformer is presented. Also, the correctness of EMTDC modeling is confirmed by the old basic concepts and we think that this EMTDC model has the future powerful capability for application of railroad system analysis.

  • In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using six switches only for low cost induction motor drive is proposed. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control and bidirectional power flow In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated by controlling the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The performance of the proposed converter has been demonstrated through the computer simulation.

  • This paper focuses on the evaluation of FACTS control on available transfer capability(ATC) enhancement. Technical merit of FACTS technology on ATC boosting are analyzed.   • This paper presents a dynamic simulation of the unified power flow controller (UPFC) using a current injection method. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices give more flexibility of control for security and economic operation of power systems. Diffculties of modeling UPFC in the conventional dynamic simulation programs arise from the fact that the injected voltage by the series inverter is superimposed on the shunt inverter side voltage. A solution can be a current injection method, in which a serial part of UPFC is converted to a parallel equivalent circuit using source transformation, and two current sources affect each other at every time step. To verify efficiency of this method, the proposed model is applied for the transient analysis of an example power system.
