  • 본 논문에서는 TI(Texas Instruments)사의 DSP칩 TMS320F240을 이용한 벡터드라이브 설계를 한다. TMS320F240은 서보모터드 라이브에 적합하게 상품화 된 칩으로 산업용 로봇제어에 필요한 대부분의 주변회로를 포함하고 있다. 이를 이용해서 제어기를 구성하면 적은 비용으로 신뢰성 높은 제어기를 구성할 수 있다. 드라이브는 크게 제어회로부와 파워회로부로 나누어서 설계했으며, AC서보모터에 벡터제어로 실제적용을 했다.

Reliability Evaluation of ACP Component under a Radiation Environment (방사선환경에서 ACP 주요부품의 신뢰도 평가)

  • This study deals with the irradiation effects on some selected components which are being used in an Advanced Spent Fuel Conditioning Process (ACP). Irradiation test components have a higher priority from the aspect of their reliability because their degradation or failure is able to critically affect the performance of an ACP equipment. Components that we chose for the irradiation tests were the AC servo motor, potentiometer, thermocouples, accelerometer and CCD camera. ACP facility has a number of AC servo motors to move the joints of a manipulator and to operate process equipment. Potentiometers are used for a measurement of several joint angles in a manipulator. Thermocouples are used for a temperature measurement in an electrolytic reduction reactor, a vol-oxidation reactor and a molten salt transfer line. An accelerometer is installed in a slitting machine to forecast an incipient failure during a slitting process. A small CCD camera is used for an in-situ vision monitoring between ACP campaigns. We made use of a gamma-irradiation facility with cobalt-60 source for an irradiation test on the above components because gamma rays from among various radioactive rays are the most significant for electric, electronic and robotic components. Irradiation tests were carried out for enough long time for total doses to be over expected threshold values. Other components except the CCD camera showed a very high radiation hardening characteristic. Characteristic changes at different total doses were investigated and threshold values to warrant at least their performance without a deterioration were evaluated as a result of the irradiation tests.

  • In this paper, we present a nonlinear adaptive controller for position tracking of induction motors. In constructing the adaptive controller, a backstepping approach is used under the condition of full state information, while a nonlinear observer is adopted for rotor flux estimation. The adaptive controller is shown to drive the state variables of system to the desired ones asymptotically and whose effectiveness is also shown via computer simulation.

  • This paper deals with the quench characteristic analysis in high-Tc superconducting synchronous motor of five to six hundred watts capacity. First, the magnetic field distribution and ac losses of high-Tc superconducting motor with the additive flux damper circuit was derived and computer simulation was performed with the equivalent model using FEM. The simulation results show that the quench state lasts for about 0.3 seconds.

  • A simple hybrid circuit to control the two-phase AC motor of the nut-runners which employ the tightening torque control system is described in this paper. The circuit has emphasis on the low-cost implementation. The circuit constitutes of the V/F converter using a timer IC, the pulse width modulator using the fastening torque signal and the two-phase logic sequencer.

And Through adjusting some design parameter related to Mass, Damping coefficient and Stiffness of the system, we could find best design point to reduce motor total noise as well as noise component at AC power frequency (2f).

The price of these is very low, but it is possible to make position control of motor similar to a control using an encoder.   • Variable Structure Controller(VSC) is usually known to have robustness to bounded exogenous disturbances. The robustness is attributed to the discontinuous term in the control input. However, this discontinuous term also causes an undesirable effect called chattering. To alleviate chattering, a hybrid controller consisting of VSC and Fuzzy Logic Controller(FLC) is proposed, which belongs to the category of Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller(FSMC). The role of FLC in FSMC is to replace a fixed gain of a discontinuous term with a time-varying one based on a specified rule base. The characteristics of proposed controller are shown to be similar to those of VSC with a saturation function instead of sign function. The only remarkable difference is the nonlinearity whose form can be adjusted by free parameters, normalize gain, denormalize gain, and membership functions. Applied to AC servo motor, the proposed controller is compared with VSC in a regulation problem as well as a speed tracking problem. The simulation results show a substantial chatter reduction.

  • A variable structure controller is developed for an AC servo motor used in CNC milling machines. The designed controller is implemented as an outer loop controller to a factory designed motor-servopack system. The robustness parameter is tuned for a fast response when the speed tracking error is large, while it is tuned for small oscillations when the speed tracking error is small. The designed controller is installed on a CNC machine using a PC. Cutting experiments show improved performance over the factory-designed controller.
