Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is the applied science where strategies are derived from the principles of behaviour and are applied to improve meaningful social behaviours [3]. This study investigates the possible inclusive value of the use ABA in schools in Saudi Arabia. Interviews were conducted with two ABA therapists and a support teacher in order to address this possibility. From the research findings, it emerged how ABA is one of the cognitive-behavioural intervention models and therefore, can be generalised to other disorders or diagnoses and the applied behavioural analysis does have an inclusive value as it structures individualized activities for the increase of both personal and social skills and these activities allow the subject to work on his or her skills, which are, however, absolutely preparatory to the inclusion of the subject in the classroom context.

Methods : This study was conducted with a single-subject ABA research design for two children with developmental delay findings, and intervention was conducted 7 times a week for 4 weeks. Both children confirmed changes in task performance and sensory processing after intervention. Results : After intervention, task performance improved from an average of 200% to a maximum of 354% compared to the baseline period, and the score in the sensory processing area, which affects tactile processing, emotional response, and activity level, was improved to the normal category. Conclusion : Through this study, it was confirmed that the EET program was effective in performing tasks and sensory processing for children with developmental delays, and its usefulness was confirmed as a program that can be implemented at home.
Incentive-Therapy approach on substance abuser has a solid theoretical base in Behavior Psychology and shows the effectiveness empirically in US. The purpose of this exploratory study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Incentive-Therapy on two alcohol abusers using ABA Single System Design in a community welfare agency, Korea. It proceeded for 12 week-baseline stage, 6-week intervention stage and 4-week postintervention stage through scanning whether alcohol abuser drinks or not by the alcohol analyzer as a target behavior. As a results, this study showed that two abusers' drinking were decreased in the middle of intervention stage in incentive-therapy but they showed differently in the postintervention stage : One sustained his abstinence and the other recurred to drink. Thus, we concluded Incentive-Therapy had better adaptability in community welfare agency in that alcohol abusers were driven to motivate for abstinence and then had an opportunity for psycho-social counseling and social welfare intervention consistently.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of Vojta therapy on the respiratory function in young male smokers. Methods: Three subjects were tested using the ABA design for Single-subject Experimental Research Design. This study was conducted with the baseline, intervention, and follow-up phase. Intervention was conducted three to four times a week for 20 minutes per times and a total of 25 sessions. The respiratory function was measured using a Spirometer. Results: The results of Forced Vital Capacity and Forced Expiratory Volume at one second for all subjects showed improvements in the intervention phase over the baseline phase. In the follow-up phase, the improved ability was still maintained or slightly reduced. Conclusion: Vojta therapy used on young male smokers was effective in both FVC and FEV1. In other words, the Vojta therapy worked effectively in improving the respiratory function. In future studies, it is necessary to have a control group and increase the number of trials in order to generalize the effect of Vojta therapy.
Purpose: This study was carried out in order to verify actual applicability of mental practice in the clinical field by applying it to Parkinson disease patients. Methods: : The number of subjects was three and they were aged between 65 and 69. One year or longer period has passed since they were diagnosed with Parkinson disease. The baseline A consisted of three sessions. After the baseline period, the researcher applied mental practice to the subjects once per day, for 20 minutes per each time, for 10 sessions. The no-intervention withdrawal phase was composed of three sessions. Outcome measures 10 meter walking test(10MWT), timed up and go (TUG) test, 8-figure walk test (8FWT). Results: All results indicated that 10 MWT, TUG, F8WT was improved when compared mental practice(B) to pre base line(A). base line(A) after mental practice intervention(B) was also sustained. Conclusion: As a result of the mental practice, we can know that it helps straight gait, dynamic balance, curved gait to improve.

Objective : The purpose of the study was to investigate The effects of the sensory integration intervention focused on combined both individual therapy and group therapy for sensory integration ability and occupational performance abilities in children with somatodyspraxia. Methods : Once in a total of 12 weeks, baseline period of four sessions and twenty-four session intervention period, research process had combined individual therapy and group therapy for sensory integration therapy. The Design is ABA design of single-subject research design. For a comparison of each-side of the operation performance change in therapy for children, through the assessment Baseline at four sessions and reassessment at two sessions after intervention, the Occupational performance ability change was measured. During intervention period, Process changed the Sensory Integration ability was measured through the Goal Attainment Scale (GAS). Results : The Sensory Integration Ability combined Individual therapy and Group therapy have effect about improvement of the Sensory Integration ability and the Occupational performance ability for children with Somatodyspraxia. Conclusion : Henceforth, subject will undergo systematized experimental design, and when dependent variable such as Sensory Integration ability and the Occupational performance was measured, effect-measuring study needs through using reliable tools.
Objective : The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of a single-subject research study and qualitative levels in which occupational therapy interventions were performed on children with cerebral palsy. Methods : This study targeted papers, published in Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), National Digital Science Library (NDSL), Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), and E-article from May 20 to 29, 2022. The search terms were 'cerebral palsy' AND 'single subject research design' OR 'individual subject study'. Eleven papers, were finally selected and analyzed. Results : Most of the studies were medium in methodological quality, and the subjects were pre-school age and spastic hemiplegia. Among the single-subject designs, intervention-removal designs were the most common, and among them, ABA designs were the most common. Interventions included assistive devices, constraint-induced therapy, neurodevelopmental therapy, and sensory integration therapy were 2, and upper extremity exercise, interactive metronome, and CO-OP were 1. Dependent variables were measured with 2 to 4 measurement tools, Significant improvements were found in postural control ability, gait and balance, hand function, and upper extremity function. Conclusion : This study confirmed that it is helpful to apply cerebral palsy occupational therapy by presenting the characteristics of cerebral palsy, intervention sessions and effects, measurement tools and methodological quality levels.
Objective : This study aimed to investigate the effects of home-based action observation training on upper extremity in brain tumor patient. Methods : Among the single case study design, this experiment used ABA' design. The evaluations were carried out 4 times during pre baseline period(A) and post baseline period(A') respectively. At the intervention period(B), a total of 25 times of action observation training and 10 times of evaluation were administered. Results : Study results indicate that 9-hole peg test, Box and Block Test, Manual Function Test were increased when compared to action observation intervention(B) to pre intervention baseline(A). Conclusion : Based on these results, home-based action observation training may be an effective upper extremity intervention strategy for tumor-induced hemiparetic patient.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of interactive metronome (IM) training on attention among children on the autistic spectrum. Methods: This is a single case study, using ABA design, of one child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who had attentional difficulties. A total of 20 sessions were conducted: 3 baseline sessions (A), 14 intervention sessions (B), and 3 follow-up baseline sessions (A'). During the intervention period (B), IM training was performed. Inattention and attention activities were measured as the dependent variables in all three phases (A, B, and A'). Results: Compared to baseline, the subject's inattention decreased in the IM training mediation period, and the performance of activities requiring attention also improved. The intervention effect was maintained even during the follow-up baseline period. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that IM training positively influences attention among children with ASD with attention deficit symptoms. Further, it provides the clinical basis of IM training as an intervention for children with ASD.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Vojta therapy on Gross Motor Function Measurement(GMFM) and Selective Voluntary Motor Control (SVMC) in children with Spastic diplegia. Methods : During this experiment, the subject of four children diagnosed with spastic diplegia was tested using ABA design for Single-subject Experimental Research Design. The procedure consisted of baseline, intervention and follow-up phase which was held thirty minutes each for three times a week for a total of 24 times. Gross motor function was measured using GMFM and selective voluntary motor control was measured using SCALE. Results : According to this study, the gross motor function and selective voluntary motor control of all subjects were improved from their intervention phase to their baseline phase. During the follow phase which the intervention was removed, the ability that was enhanced during the prior phases was still either maintained or only reduced slightly. Conclusion : The Vojta therapy used on children diagnosed with spastic diplegia was effective on both GMFM and SVMC. In other words, the therapy was effective on coordination. However, this study is difficult to be generalized due to the insufficient number of subject. In further studies, it will be necessary to increase the number of trials with a control group in order to generalize the effectiveness of Vojta therapy.
