This work concerns estimating a regression function, which is not linear, using aggregate data. In much of the empirical research, data are aggregated for various reasons before statistical analysis. In a traditional parametric approach, a linear estimation of the non-linear function with aggregate data can result in unstable estimators of the parameters. More serious consequence is the bias in the estimation of the non-linear function. The approach we employ is the kernel regression smoothing. We describe the conditions when the aggregate data can be used to estimate the regression function efficiently. Numerical examples will illustrate our findings.

This paper work treats with the basic characteristics to be investigated in development of a single-phase linear induction motor. The results of this research work have established some important characteristics which should be taken into consideration in the design and construction of this linear motor, And it is also proven that the development of high-voltage linear machine with large capacity is possible.

The development of feed drive system with high speed and accuracy has been a major issue in the machine tool industry. Linear motors can be used as the efficient tool to achieve fast feed mechanism and high accuracy. However. a high speed feed drive system with linear motors can generate heat problems such as the variation of temperature distribution and the resultant thermal stress. In this paper, the important heat sources and the resultant thermal errors are presented. The thermal deformation characteristics of the machine tool with linear motors were identified, which are thermal expansion of linear scale, shrinkage, expansion and bending in the machine tool structure.

In the industrial field, the necessity for the linear motion is increasing. Because of the motion converting mechanism there exist many losses. So the application of linear machines instead of rotating machines is increasing. As compared with a mono-polar type linear DC motor, it is possible for a multi-polar type linear BC motor to have a longer stroke and more thrust with thin shape. However, there are thrust ripple on multi-polar type one. In this paper, a design to multi-polarize of the linear DC motor is discussed. In order to make a smoother thrust on multi-polar type linear BC motor. a method is proposed.

선형 공정계획 방법은 1929년 엠파이어 스테이트 빌딩에서 그래픽한 용도로 사용되면서 현재는 다양한 작업 공간, 현장 작업과 조립 작업에 적용되고 있다. 선형 공정계획 상에 동시적인 크리티칼 패스가 발생하면 자원 관리는 작업흐름의 최적화 문제로 연결되어 유연한 작업생산성과 지속적인 자원의 할당을 하기 위해 적용되고 있다. 그러나 선형 공정계획 모델 연구에서 간과하고 있는 선형 공정계획 모델의 작업 관계성을 고려하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 선형 공정계획 모델에 관한 기존 연구를 분석하여 네트워크 공정표의 관계성을 선형 공정표에 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 네트워크 공정표를 선형공정표로 변환 시에 발생하는 작업의 관계성을 고찰하고 건축물의 물리적 층수 변화와 같이 작업공간의 변화에 따라 선형 공정표에 반영되어야 할 선형 공정표상의 액티비티의 이동 문제를 고찰하여 네트워크 공정표를 선형 공정표로 호환할 수 있는 시스템 개발을 위한 기초연구를 제공하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.

We prove a central limit theorem for the negatively associated random variables in a Hilbert space and extend this result to the linear process generated by negatively associated random variables in a Hilbert space. Our result implies an extension of the central limit theorem for the linear process in a real space under negative association to a simplest case of infinite dimensional Hilbert space.

The compressors in the air conditioner have the role of the pressurization and circulation of the refrigerant. The hermetic reciprocating compressors driven by rotary motor have been used for the air conditioner. The linear compressor has very simple structure and enhancement in the efficiency in comparison to that of conventional reciprocating compressor. The linear compressors are widely used for the small cryogenic refrigerator (below 1 kW), such as the Stirling refrigerator and pulse tube refrigerator. In the cryogenic application, the pressure ratio of the linear compressor is below 1.5, but the linear compressor for the air conditioner should overcome the high pressure ratio and the large pressure difference between the each sides of the piston. The resonance characteristics of the linear compressor has the significant impacts on the power consumption. To minimize the power consumption, the linear compressor should be operated at the resonance point. In the resonance characteristics, the role of the mechanical and gas spring should be considered. In present study, the cycle of the analysis of the vapor compression refrigeration cycle with the different refrigerants (R134a, R4l0a, R600a) and the designs of the linear compressor are performed. The effects of the stiffness of the mechanical spring on the electromagnetic forces would be discussed. Finally, the results show the design specification of the linear compressor for the air conditioner.

In this paper first, we find a canonical symmetrical trapezoidal(triangular) for the solution of the fuzzy linear system $A\tilde{x}=\tilde{b}$, where the elements in A and $\tilde{b}$ are crisp and arbitrary fuzzy numbers, respectively. Then, a model for fuzzy linear programming problem with fuzzy variables (FLPFV), in which, the right hand side of constraints are arbitrary numbers, and coefficients of the objective function and constraint matrix are regarded as crisp numbers, is discussed. A numerical procedure for calculating a canonical symmetrical trapezoidal representation for the solution of fuzzy linear system and the optimal solution of FLPFV, (if there exist) is proposed. Several examples illustrate these ideas.
