  • Objective : Depressive symptoms often coexist with other anxiety disorder symptoms. Furthermore, an anxiety disorder that is comorbid with a depressive disorder results in more severe symptoms and a poorer outcome prognosis. To understand the construct of depressive symptoms in anxiety disorder, this study investigated the factor structure of the Beck Depression Inventory among outpatients with anxiety disorders. Methods : All data were from psychiatric department outpatients at a university-affiliated hospital. We conducted a principal component analysis using data from 194 outpatients with DSM-IV anxiety disorders and calculated goodness-of-fit-indices. Results : Exploratory factor analysis revealed a four factor structure--Cognitive-affective symptoms (Factor 1), Somatic symptoms (Factor 2), Self-reproach (Factor 3), and Hypochondriasis/indecisiveness (Factor 4)--and a 57% total variance. This four-factor model demonstrated an acceptable level of model fit, and it fit better than did a three-factor solution from the literature on depressive disorder. Conclusion : This study's results suggest a difference in the construct of self-reported depressive symptoms in anxiety disorders. These findings also support a dimensional approach to studying anxiety and depression. Further studies may benefit from including comorbid depressive disorder and its influence on anxiety disorders.

  • A validation study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of the cryo-precipitation, monoclonal anti-FVIIIc antibody (mAb) chromatography, Q-Sepharose chromatography, and lyophilization steps involved in the manufacture of high purity factor VIII (GreenMono) from human plasma, in the removal and/or inactivation of hepatitis A virus (HAV). Samples from the relevant stages of the production process were spiked with HAV and subjected to scale-down processes mimicking the manufacture of the high purity factor VIII concentrate. Samples were collected at each step and immediately titrated using a 50% tissue culture infectious dose (TCID$\_$50/) and then the virus reduction factors were evaluated. HAV was effectively partitioned from factor VⅢ during cryo-precipitation with the log reduction factor of 3.2. The mAb chromatography was the most effective step far removal of HAV with the log reduction factor of $\geq$4.3. HAV infectivity was not detected in the fraction of factor VⅢ, while most of HAV infectivity was recovered in the fractions of flow through and wash during mAb chromatography. Q-Sepharose chromatography showed the lowest efficacy for partitioning HAV with the log reduction factor of 0.7. Lyophilization was an effective step in inactivating HAV with the log reduction factor of 2.3. The cumulative lag reduction factor, $\geq$10.5, achieved for tile entire manufacturing process was several magnitudes greater than the potential HAV load of current plasma pools.

  • Mechanical stress and the vacuum level are the two main factors dominating the quality factor of a resonator operated in the vacuum range 1 mTorr to 10 Torr. This means that if the quality factor of a resonator is very insensitive to the mechanical stress in the vacuum range, it is sensitive to mainly the ambient vacuum level. In this paper, a wafer-level packaged MEMS resonator with a highly vacuum-sensitive quality factor is presented. The proposed device is characterized by a package with out-of-plane symmetry and a suspending structure with only a single anchor. Out-of-plane symmetry helps prevent deformation of the packaged device due to thermal mismatch, and a single-clamped structure facilitates constraint-free displacement. As a result, the proposed device is very insensitive to mechanical stress and is sensitive to mainly the ambient vacuum level. The average quality factors of the devices packaged under pressures of 50, 100, and 200 mTorr were 4987, 3415, and 2127, respectively. The results demonstrated the high controllability of the quality factor by vacuum adjustment. The mechanical robustness of the quality factor was confirmed by comparing the quality factors before and after high-temperature storage. Furthermore, through more than 50 days of monitoring, the stability of the quality factor was also certified.

  • The active power factor control AC/DC converter needs a current loop compensator to obtain better dynamic characteristics and power factor performance, but the optimal design of a current loop compensator is difficult because the AC/DC converter is a nonlinear system having periodically varying poles and zeros. The predictive current control scheme generates a control input using the dynamic equations of the AC/DC converter so that the dynamic of the AC/DC converter is included in the controller and the necessary bandwidth and the gain characteristics of the current control loop are satisfied. And as a result, a compensator becomes unnecessary and the current loop shows the improved current loop characteristics. In this paper, a power factor controller without current loop compensator by adopting a predictive current control scheme is designed and the designed power factor controller is modelled by using a small signal perturbation modelling technique, and simulated to investigate its small signal characteristics. A 200 W power factor control AC/DC converter is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed power factor controller.

  • A congenital factor VII deficiency is a rare disorder with an estimated incidence in the western contries of one in 500,000. Because factor VII is important in initiation the coagulation cascade, a factor VII deficiency can result in significant bleeding with prolongation of the prothrombin time. We present a case of a factor VII deficiency with a subdural hematoma in an 18-year-old boy whose plasma activity of factor VII was ${\leq}10%$. Previously, he did not have any symptoms, such as hemarthrosis, easy bruising or bleeding after a minor trauma. He was administered fresh frozen plasma and a trephination was performed. His sister also had 51% lower level of factor VII.

  • The main aim of this work is focus on the Geum river water quality evaluation of pollution data obtained by monitoring measurement during the period 2001-2005. The complex data matrix 19 (entire monitoring stations)*13 (parameters), 60 (month)*13 (parameters) and 20 (season)*13 (parameters) were treated with different multivariate techniques such as factor analysis/principal component analysis (FA/PCA). FA/PCA identified two factor (19*13) classified pollutant Loading factor (BOD, COD, pH, Cond, T-N, T-P, $NH_3$-N, $NO_3$-N, $PO_4$-P, Chl-a), seasonal factor (water temp, SS) and three Factor (60*13, 20*13) classified pollutant Loading factor (BOD, COD, Cond, T-N, T-P, $NH_3$-N, $NO_3$-N, $PO_4$-P), seasonal factor (water temp, SS) and metabolic factor (Chl-a, pH). Loadings of pollutant factor is potent influence main factor in the Geum river which is explained by loadings of pollutant factor at whole sampling stations (71.16%), month (52.75%) and season (56.57%) of main water quality stations. Result of this study is that pollutant loading factor is affected at Gongju 1, 2, Buyeo 1, 2, Gangkyeong, Yeongi stations by entire stations and entire month (Gongju 1, Cheongwon stations), April, May, July and August (buyeo 1) by month. Also the pollutant Loading factor is season gives an influence in winter (Gongju 1, buyeo 1) from main sampling stations, but Cheongwon characteristic is non-seasonal influenced. This study presents necessity and usefulness of multivariate statistic techniques for evaluation and interpretation of large complex data set with a view to get better information data effective management of water sources.

  • This study suggests a measure method for measuring variables that are used for hotel corporations' CRM performance. For this purpose, I present a combined method between factor analysis and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis. Factor analysis gives us a result that shows a group of highly correlated variables and another group of less correlated variables. Thus, factor analysis can only give information of factor categorization. Although researchers add ANOVA analysis or regression analysis, these efforts can not connect its results with factor analysis. Therefore, In hotel CRM performance analysis, calculation of each factor's importance is strongly required. For that reason, I suggest a method that combines AHP analysis with factor analysis for Hotel CRM performance measurement.
