일본 Shikoku, Ikata지역 인공어초 주변의 해양생물 군집 (Marine Communities around Artificial Reefs Located in Ikata, Shikoku, Japan)

  • This study monitored a variety of marine communities during monthly or bimonthly censuses from February 1999 to August 2000. The communities investigated included artificial reefs composed of various substrates, which were placed on an area of sandy bottom at 8, 10, and 13m depths in Muronohana, Ikata, Shikoku, Japan. Economically important shell fishes, such as the turban shell and abalone, appeared on the artificial reefs after 1 month of construction. Shell fishes were recorded at levels of five to 20 individuals per reef. A total of 37 species (4 orders, 19 families) were identified during the experimental period. Apagon semilineatus, Trachurus japonicus, Pteragogus sp., and Pterogobius elapoides accumulated over an average of 100 individuals during the study period. Apagon semilineatus, Pteragogus sp., and P. elapoides accumulated over 1,000 individuals on all artificial reefs in May 1999. Trachurus japonicus reached well over 500 individuals in the artificial iron reef during June and July 2000. Higher monthly variation in fish abundance occurred during periods of high temperature, as compared to periods of low temperature between December 1999 and March 2000. More fish were observed in the artificial iron reef than in the artificial concrete reef, because the former offered a broader inner space and the shadows of the roofs served as a shelter for fish.

월류형 잠제 주위의 수면 변동 특성 (Characteristics of Water Surface Variation around Double-Breaking Type Artificial Reef)

  • A submerged breakwater is one of the coastal structures used to reduce wave energy and coastal erosion. However, a submerged breakwater has a negative aspect in that a strong rip current occurring around an open inlet due to a difference in mean water levels at the front and rear sides of the structure leads to scouring. Such scouring has a bad effect on its stability. In order to eliminate this kind of demerit, this study investigated an artificial reef of the overflow type with openings. We also developed a program where the flows around the artificial reef of the overflow type could be analyzed numerically. An unstructured grid system was used to cover the various geometries, and the level set method was applied to treat the movement of the free surface. To verify these numerical schemes, hydraulic physical tests were performed on the submerged breakwater and double breaking type artificial reef. Then, the wave height and velocity distribution around the reef were examined using the experimental results. Comparisons between the results of hydraulic and numerical tests showed reasonable agreement.

실내실험 및 수치해석을 이용한 인공어초 세굴 거동 특성 연구 (Scour Characteristics of Artificial Reef through Experiment and Numerical Analysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 실내실험 및 수치해석을 통해 무보강 및 보강 조건에 따른 인공어초의 세굴 특성을 알아보았다. 해저 지반 보강재로는 지오그리드(geogrid)를 이용하였으며, 보강 면적은 인공어초 하부 면적 대비 1배, 3배 및 5배와 같이 다양한 배율로 적용하였다. 2차원 흐름 수조 실험을 통해 모래 및 실트 지반에서 인공어초의 세굴 패턴을 알아보았으며, 실내실험과 동일한 조건으로 수치해석을 수행하여 유속 벡터 분포 및 세굴 패턴을 알아보았다. 실내실험과 수치해석을 비교한 결과 세굴 패턴은 전반적으로 유사한 경향을 띄었으며, 무보강 지반보다 보강재를 설치한 인공어초 지반에서 세굴이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

태안시범바다목장해역내 인공어초사업의 경제적 효과에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Economic Effectiveness of the Artificial Fish Reef Project in the Tae-an Marine Ranching)

  • This paper analyzed that the economic effectiveness of the artificial fish reef project in the Tae-an Marine Ranching. Benefit-cost(B/C) model used to indicate the effects of economic valuation. B/C model is based on the sub-models which are Benefit Cost Ratio(BCR), Net Present Value(NPV) and Internal Ration of Return(IRR). First, the Sum of Incremental Benefit and Cost for total vessel by year in Artificial Fish Reef Area(AFRA) estimated 2,381 million won. And then, using 5.5% discounting rates and the survey data, the sub-models showed economically feasible in the all of analysis and analyzed the results as follows. BCR is 2.66, NPV is 28,014million won, and IRR is 22.78%. In conclusion, these results indicated that the artificial fish reef project in Tae-an Marine Ranching would be increase the income of fishermen as well as fish biomass.

  • The objective of this study was to monitor and evaluate the schooling characteristics, including the distribution density (volume backscattering strength) and acoustic size (target strength), of commercially valuable species swimming in response to artificial reefs installed at Suyeong Man, Busan, Korea. Fish aggregations at two artificial reef areas and at a nearby natural rocky reef habitat were recorded and analyzed using a 70 kHz split-beam echo sounder and 330 kHz side-scan sonar from August to September, 2006. An underwater CCTV camera system was also used to observe marine organisms in physical contact with and swimming very close to artificial reefs. During the acoustic observations at three reef sites, useful information about schooling characteristics of fish aggregations responding to artificial reefs were obtained, but more trials are needed to confirm significant differences in schooling behavior and geographical distributions in areas containing natural reef structures and artificial reefs.

  • 인공어초는 인공적으로 해저에 구조물을 설치하여 수산자원의 서식장, 산란장 및 치어 성육장을 제공하여 줌으로써 황폐화된 어장의 생산성을 제고하고 자원을 증강시키는 사업으로서 국내외에서 그 가치를 높이 평가받고 있다. 그러나, 인공어초를 시설하고 일정기간이 경과한 후, 인공어초 사업의 타당성을 분석하기 위해 지속적으로 관찰이 필요하지만 막대한 예산 및 전문 인력이 부족하여 객관적이고 공정한 사후 관리를 수행하는 것이 불가능한 실정이다. 따라서, IT 정보기기 융합 인공어초의 개발을 통하여 바다목장 내에 시설된 인공어초를 지속적으로 모니터링하고 수집된 해양 환경 정보를 기반으로 인공어초 효과를 객관적으로 분석할 수 있는 방안을 제공할 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 IT 정보기기가 융합된 인공어초를 설계 및 구현하고, 이에 연동되는 어초종합정보시스템을 구축하여 바다목장에 대한 관리 시스템을 체계화하는 사례를 보여준다.

  • 해안방재(海岸防災)의 새로운 공법(工法)으로 인공 모래톱(artificial reef)를 설치(設置)하여 해빈海浜)의 안정성(安定性)을 유지(維持)하고 해안(海岸)을 이용(利用)하자는 구상(構想)으로부터, 본논문(本論文)은 해안수리학적(海岸水理學的)인 관점(觀點)에서 인공(人工) reef의 특성(特性)을 밝히고 있다. 인공(人工) reef 선단(先端)에서 강제쇄파(强制碎波)에 의한 쇄파후(碎波後)의 파고변화(波高變化)을 예측(豫測)하는 model을 확립(確立)하고, 인공(人工) reef상(上)에서 파랑예측(波浪豫測)의 방법중(方法中) 파별해석법(波別解析法)의 타당성(妥當性)을 입증(立證)했다. 동시(同時)에 규칙파(規則波)와 불규칙파(不規則波)를 이용(利用)하여 월파량(越波量) 산정(算定)에 관한 weir model의 적용성(適用性)을 검증(檢證)하고, 월파량(越波量) 산정(算定)에 있어서 파별해석법(波別解析法)을 적용(適用)하여, 인공(人工) reef의 설치(設置)로 인한 월파량(越波量) 저감효과(低減效果)를 수치계산(數値計算)과 실험(實驗)에 의해서 밝혔다.

다공질 인공어초 (반톱니형)에서 진행된 해조천이 및 해중림 조성 (Restoration of the Seaweed Forest and Algal Succession on a Porous Type (Shaped Half Saw Teeth) Artificial Reef)

  • The succession of marine benthic algae and the restoration of an artificial seaweed forest on a porous type (shaped half saw teeth) artificial reef at Jeju island, Korea was studied. Young thalli of Sargassum horneri and Ecklonia cava were attached to different artificial substrates. In general, the succession on the artificial reefs led from filamentous algae to perennial algae and involved more than 25 species that are useful fishery resources, including E. cava. Coralline algae were dominant on the artificial reefs at the Kangjung site. The maximum algal biomass on the artificial reef in October 2005 was $1,990g/m^2$ at Biyang. In conclusion, a climax community and seaweed forest can be attained one year after the substrate is constructed.

  • By this time, various shapes and materials are used in Artificial Reef. A function of Artificial Reef is leading of fishes by adhesion of seaweeds, however, this effect was not enough. In this study, porous concrete containing function materials (protein, carbohydrates, and fat etc.) are investigated to maximize leading effect of fishes. For these, the mechanical characteristics of porous concrete are investigated with void contents and function materials. Also, the diffusion of function materials are compared to suggest the suitable content of functional material.

평면 분산된 인공어초 집합의 어초협곡 간격에 따른 후류체적 특성 (Wake Volume Characteristics Considering Artificial Reef Canyon Intervals Constructed by Flatly Distributed Artificial Reef Set)

  • Considering the artificial reef (AR) canyon intervals facilitated by flatly distributed placement models, the wake volumes of 25 AR sets were characterized through the following works. First, twenty-five different canyon intervals were established to investigate how the intervals affect the wake volumes of the AR placement models, each with nine cube-type ARs. Second, the element-based finite-volume method was used to facilitate flow analyses. Third, the so-called wake volume concept was adopted, and finally a reasonable placement interval was found based on the size of the wake volumes and the associated unit propagation indices. From the analysis results, it was found that a maximum wake volume of 25.18 m3 was generated when the longitudinal and transverse intervals were fixed at 6 m and 0 m, respectively. Thus, to magnify the wake volume, it is recommended that artificial reefs be placed at intervals of 6 m (3 times the reef length) in the flow direction, with no intervals in the normal direction, implicitly indicating that an intensively stacked placement model is a better option to efficiently secure a larger wake volume for the cube-type ARs.
