  • 본 논문은 무선랜 메쉬 네트워크 링크 품질 측정 정확성 향상을 위한 MBAP(Multi-rate Broadcast Active Probing) 방법을 제안한다. 라우팅을 위한 척도로 홉수를 주로 사용하는 MANET과 달리 메쉬 네트워크는 ETX, ETT 등의 링크 품질 기반의 척도를 주로 사용한다. ETX. ETT 등의 측정을 위해 기존 연구들에서는 단일 전송률 브로트캐스트 기반의 측정 방법을 사용한다. 하지만 이 방법은 다양한 전송률을 가질 수 있는 무선랜 링크의 품질을 제대로 반영하지 못하며 이는 적절하지 못한 경로 선택으로 귀결될 수 있다. MBAP는 다양한 전송률의 브로드캐스트를 사용함으로써 우선 링크 품질 측정의 정확성을 향상시켰다. 우리는 MBAP를 리눅스 기반의 링크계층에서 구현하였으며 실험을 통해 그 효용성을 검증하였다.

  • 종래의 응용들은 하나의 컴퓨터 상에서 한정된 자원만을 사용하고 컨텍스트를 고려하지 않으므로 이동하는 사용자를 서비스하기 힘들다. 그러나 유비쿼터스 응용은 사용자 주변의 컨텍스트 정보와 여러 컴퓨터에 있는 다양한 자원을 이용하여 이동 사용자에게 최적의 서비스를 제공한다. 이를 위해 유비쿼터스 응용들은 컨텍스트 인지(contort awareness), 사용자 이동성(user mobility), QoS 적응성(QoS adaptability) 등의 기능을 가져야 한다. 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 응용을 위한 CMQ(Context-aware, Mobility-aware, QoS-aware) 미들웨어 프레임웍을 설계하고 자바(Java) 와 지니(Jini) 기술을 이용하여 미들웨어 프로토타입을 구현한다. 구현된 미들웨어 시스템은 사용자 주변의 다양한 컨텍스트 정보를 효과적으로 표현 및 처리한 수 있고, 사용자의 이동에 따라 세션 핸드오프를 지원하며 적응적 QoS 조절 메카니즘을 응용에게 제공할 수 있다.

A MOM-based algorithm for moving force identification: Part I - Theory and numerical simulation

  • The moving vehicle loads on a bridge deck is one of the most important live loads of bridges. They should be understood, monitored and controlled before the bridge design as well as when the bridge is open for traffic. A MOM-based algorithm (MOMA) is proposed for identifying the timevarying moving vehicle loads from the responses of bridge deck in this paper. It aims at an acceptable solution to the ill-conditioning problem that often exists in the inverse problem of moving force identification. The moving vehicle loads are described as a combination of whole basis functions, such as orthogonal Legendre polynomials or Fourier series, and further estimated by solving the new system equations developed with the basis functions. A number of responses have been combined, some numerical simulations on single axle, two axle and multiple-axle loads, being either constant or timevarying, have been carried out and compared with the existing time domain method (TDM) in this paper. The illustrated results show that the MOMA has higher identification accuracy and robust noise immunity as well as producing an acceptable solution to ill-conditioning cases to some extent when it is used to identify the moving force from bridge responses.

시·도 교육청 교수학습지원센터의 웹 접근성 준수 정도 분석 (A Study on Analyzing the Degree of Conforming to Web Accessibility by the Center for Teaching and Learning Support of Cities and Provinces)

  • 본 연구는 K-12의 구성원 및 관계자들에게 교수학습 자료를 제공하고 있는 시 도 교육청의 교수학습지원센터에 대한 웹 접근성 준수 실태 분석을 통해 웹 접근성 향상을 위한 방향을 제안하기 위한 목적이 있다. 목적 달성을 위해 9개의 교수학습지원센터를 대상으로 평가하였다. 평가는 전문가 2명에 의한 1차 전문가 수동평가와 18명의 사용자가 진행하였다. 사용자 평가는 청각장애인, 시각장애인, 뇌병변 장애인, 고령자, 다양한 브라우저 사용자, 다양한 운영체제 사용자 등으로 구성되었다. 분석 결과, 전문가와 사용자 평가에서 웹 접근성을 준수하고 있는 교수학습지원센터는 1곳도 없었다. 전문가 평가 결과, 웹 디자인 개선, HTML 소스 오류 수정, 장애인을 위한 대체 수단 제공 등에 대한 오류가 발견되었다. 본 연구는 개선한 웹 접근성 평가 방법을 통해 향후 국내 웹 접근성 평가 연구의 방향성에 대한 다양한 논의를 제공하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.

2축 김벌의 가변속도 CMG를 이용한 인공위성 자세제어 (Spacecraft Attitude Control with a Two-axis Variable Speed Control Momentum Gyro)

  • CMG(Control Momentum Gyro) 는 일반적으로 동체에 부착된 반작용휠에 비해 큰 토크의 크기를 발생시켜 인공위성의 자세제어에 이용되는 장치이다. CMG는 휠의 각 운동량벡터의 방향을 위성체의 동체축에 대하여 연속적으로 변화시킴으로써 자이로스코픽 토크를 발생하게 된다. 가변속도 CMG는 휠의 속도도 함께 변화시킴으로써 보다 다양한 제어 명령을 생성할 수 있게 되고 또한 특이(Singularity) 조건을 피하는데 장점을 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 2축의 김발에 장착된 가변속도 CMG를 이용한 위성체의 자세 동역학 방적식을 유도하기로 한다. 이러한 운동방정식은 기존의 1축 김벌 시스템의 경우를 확장한 것이다. 또한 유도된 운동방정식을 활용하여 피드백 자세기동 제어 법칙을 제안하기로 한다.

Damping of a taut cable with two attached high damping rubber dampers

  • Due to their low intrinsic damping, stay cables in cable-stayed bridges have often exhibited unanticipated and excessive vibrations which result in increasing maintenance frequency and disruption to normal operations of the entire bridges. Mitigation of undesired cable vibration can be achieved by attaching an external damping device near the anchorage. High Damping Rubber (HDR) dampers have many advantages such as compact size, better aesthetics, easy maintenance, temperature stability, and cost benefits; therefore, they have been widely used to increase cable damping. Although a single damper has been shown to reduce cable vibrations, it is not the most effective method due to geometric constraints. This paper proposes the use of two HDR dampers to improve effectiveness and robustness in suppressing cable vibration. Oscillation parameters of the cable-dampers system were investigated in detail by modeling the stay cable as a taut string and each HDR damper as complex-valued impedance and by using an analytical formulation of the complex eigenvalue problem. The problem of two HDR dampers arbitrarily located along a cable is solved and the solution is discussed. Asymptotic formulas to calculate the damping ratios of the cable with two HDR dampers installed near the anchorage(s) are proposed and compared with the exact solutions. Further, a design example is presented in order to justify the methodology. The results of this study show that when the two HDR dampers are installed close to each other on the same end of the cable, some interaction between the dampers leads to reduced damping ratio. When the dampers are on the opposite ends of the cable, they are effective in increasing damping ratio and can provide better vibration reduction to multiple modes.

A full path assessment approach for vibration serviceability and vibration control of footbridges

  • Most of the existing evaluation criteria of vibration serviceability rely on the peak acceleration of the structure rather than that of the people keeping their own body unmoved on the structure who is the real receiver of structural vibrations. In order to accurately assess the vibration serviceability, therefore, a full path assessment approach of vibration serviceability based on vibration source, path and receiver is not only tentatively proposed in this paper, taking the peak acceleration of receiver into account, but also introduce a probability procedure to provide more instructive information instead of a single value. In fact, semi-rigid supported on both sides of the structure is more consistent with the actual situation than simply supported or clamped due to the application of the prefabricated footbridge structures. So, the footbridge is regarded as a beam with semi-rigid supported on both sides in this paper. The differential quadrature-integral quadrature coupled method is not only to handle different type of boundary conditions, but also after being further modified via the introduction of an approximation procedure in this work, the time-varying system problem caused by human-structure interaction can be solved well. The analytical results of numerical simulations demonstrate that the modified differential quadrature-integral quadrature coupled method has higher reliability and accuracy compared with the mode superposition method. What's more, both of the two different passive control measures, the tuned mass damper and semi-rigid supported, have good performance for reducing vibrations. Most importantly, semi-rigid supported is easier to achieve the objective of reducing vibration compared with tuned mass damper in design stage of structure.

The Effects of Content and Distribution of Recommended Items on User Satisfaction: Focus on YouTube

  • The performance of recommender systems (RS) has been measured mainly in terms of accuracy. However, there are other aspects of performance that are difficult to understand in terms of accuracy, such as coverage, serendipity, and satisfaction with recommended results. Moreover, particularly with RSs that suggest multiple items at a time, such as YouTube, user satisfaction with recommended results may vary not only depending on their accuracy, but also on their configuration, content, and design displayed to the user. This is true when classifying an RS as a single RS with one recommended result and as a multiple RS with diverse results. No empirical analysis has been conducted on the influence of the content and distribution of recommendation items on user satisfaction. In this study, we propose a research model representing the content and distribution of recommended items and how they affect user satisfaction with the RS. We focus on RSs that recommend multiple items. We performed an empirical analysis involving 149 YouTube users. The results suggest that user satisfaction with recommended results is significantly affected according to the HHI (Herfindahl-Hirschman Index). In addition, satisfaction significantly increased when the recommended item on the top of the list was the same category in terms of content that users were currently watching. Particularly when the purpose of using RS is hedonic, not utilitarian, the results showed greater satisfaction when the number of views of the recommended items was evenly distributed. However, other characteristics of selected content, such as view count and playback time, had relatively less impact on satisfaction with recommended items. To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to show that the category concentration of items impacts user satisfaction on websites recommending diverse items in different categories using a content-based filtering system, such as YouTube. In addition, our use of the HHI index, which has been extensively used in economics research, to show the distributional characteristics of recommended items, is also unique. The HHI for categories of recommended items was useful in explaining user satisfaction.

인공 종양대치물을 이용한 사지구제술후의 보행 분석 (Gait Analysis of Patients with Tumor Prosthesis around the Knee)

  • Prosthetic replacement is one of the most common methods of reconstruction after resection of malignant tumor around the knee. Gait analysis provides a relative objective data about the gait function of patients with prosthesis. The purpose of this study was to compare the gait pattern of the patients who underwent limb salvage surgery with prosthesis for distal femur and that of patients with prosthesis for proximal tibia. This study included ten patients (4 males, 6 females, mean age 22.7 years, range 14-36) who underwent a wide resection and Kotz hinged modular reconstruction prosthesis replacement and six normal adult(Control). The site of bone tumor was the distal femur (Group 1) in six patients and proximal tibia (Group 2) in 4 patients. The follow-up period ranged from 15 to 82 months (mean : 33 months). The evaluation consisted of clinical assessment, radiographic assessment, gait analysis using VICON 370 Motion Analysis System. The gait analysis included the linear parameters such as, walking velocity, cadence, step length, stride length, stance time, swing time, single support and double support time and the three-dimensional kinematics (joint rotation angle, velocity of joint rotation) of ankle, knee, hip and pelvis in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. For the kinetic evaluation, the moment of force (unit: Nm/kg) and power (unit: Watt/kg) of ankle, knee and hip joint in sagittal, coronal and transverse plane. In the linear parameters, cadence, velocity, step time and single support were decreased in both group 1 and group 2 compared with control. Double support decreased in group 2 compared with control significantly(p<.05). In contrast to our hypothesis, there was no significant difference between group 1 and group 2. 도어 안전고리 스마트 제어시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implement a Smart Control System of Door Security Guard)

  • 현 시대에 사는 사람들 중에 다수는 자의적이거나 타의적인 이유로 결혼을 하지 않거나 독립하여 혼자 생활하는 것을 선호하고 있고 그 이유로는 크게 타인에게 간섭받기 싫어서 또는 경제적 사정 등이 있으며, 특히 자신만의 편안한 생활을 추구하는 직장여성들이 일인 생활을 선호하는 추세이다. 하지만 이러한 점을 타겟으로 하여 악용하는 범죄의 표적이 되기도 한다. 그로인하여 현관문 등에 안전고리 등과 같은 보안장치를 추가 장착하여 사용하기도 한다. 현관문의 안전고리를 잠그는 행위는 그렇게 어려운 일은 아니지만 쉽게 잊어버릴 수 있고, 취침 전 잠자리에 위치하여 있을 때 안전고리의 잠금 여부를 확인하거나 잠가야할 때 다시 일어나서 현관으로 이동해 안전고리를 확인하고 잠가야 한다. 하지만 그 번거로움과 불편함으로 괜찮겠지 하는 마음에 안전고리를 채우지 않을 때가 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 번거로움을 해결하고 보다 안전한 생활을 유지하기위한 방법으로 스마트 폰을 이용하여 원격에서 안전고리를 조정할 수 있는 장치를 설계 및 구현하여 보다 편하게 안전고리를 사용하여 불법주거 침입 등의 범죄로 부터 안전을 도모 하고자 한다.
