구조안전성 평가를 위한 무선 진동 모니터링 시스템 개발 (Development of a Wireless Vibration Monitoring System for Structural Health Evaluation)

  • Wired monitoring systems have been used for damage detection and dynamic analysis of large structures(bridges, dams, plants, etc.). However, the real-world applications still remain limited, mainly due to time and cost issues inherent to wired systems. In recent years, an increasing number of researchers have adopted WSN(wireless sensor network) technologies to the field of SHM(structural health monitoring). Accurate time synchronization is most critical for the wireless approach to be feasible for SHM purpose, along with sufficient wireless bandwidth and highly precise measuring resolution. To satisfy technical criteria stated above, a wireless vibration monitoring system that uses high-precision MEMS(micro-electro-mechanical system) sensors and A/D convertor is discussed in detail. It was found experimentally that the level of time synchronization fell within $200\;{\mu}sec$.

  • An objection of this study is to develop a high stable analytic system of radioactive pulses. The proposed system consists of an amplifying circuit with 60dB gain, a programmable power supply unit which can generate DC voltage up to 1, 500V, and a digital signal processor. Pulse height distribution in accordance with pulse counts is important data in analyzing radioactive pulses. In this study, AD convertor (12bit, l00ns) and DSP (TMS 320C31-60) are used to analyze the pulse height, and the analytic system is designed to be operated in PC-networking.

  • Various new technologies and aiding instruments are always being introduced for the betterment of the challenged. This project focuses on aiding the mute in expressing their views and ideas in a much efficient and effective manner thereby creating their own place in this world. The proposed system focuses on using various gestures traced into texts which could in turn be transformed into speech. The gesture identification and mapping is performed by the Kinect device, which is found to cost effective and reliable. A suitable text to speech convertor is used to translate the texts generated from Kinect into a speech. The proposed system though cannot be applied to man-to-man conversation owing to the hardware complexities, but could find itself very much of use under addressing environments such as auditoriums, classrooms, etc

Two-Phase Hybrid Forward Convertor with Series-Parallel Auto-Regulated Transformer Windings and a Common Output Inductor

  • For conventional interleaved two-phase forward converters with a common output inductor, the maximum duty cycle is 0.5, which limits the voltage range and increases the difficulty of the transformer's optimization. A new two-phase hybrid forward converter with series-parallel auto-regulated transformer windings is presented in this paper. With interleaved control signals for the two phases, the secondary windings of the transformers can work in series when the duty cycle is larger than 0.5, and they can work in parallel when duty cycle is lower than 0.5. Therefore, the maximum duty cycle is extended and the turns ratio of the transformer can be optimized. Duty cycle dependent auto-regulated windings result in the steady states of the converter being different in different duty cycle ranges (D>0.5 and D<0.5). Fortunately, the steady state gains of the proposed hybrid converter are identical at different duty cycle ranges, which means a stepless shift between two states. A prototype is built to verify the theoretical analysis. A conventional control loop is compatible for the whole input voltage range and load range thanks to the stepless shifting between the different duty cycle ranges.

  • Characteristics of the high frequency and pulsatile flow investigated experimentally to understand the flow phenomena in the hydraulic system. In the study, I axis fatigue tester which are widely used for automobile filed are selected. 4 Pressure transducer, amplifier, A/D convertor are used to analyse and to obtain the pulsatle pressure waveform with high frequencies in hydraulic system. Matlab are used. to analyse the characteristics of frequency. Variation of pump input pressure and actuator acceleration frequency, pressure wave are measured with or without accumulators. For with accumulator, frequency amplitude of pressure are very lower than those of without accumulator due to absorbing function of accumulator. As the actuator acceleration frequency increased, effect of accumulator are very important to decrease the pulsatile pressure waveform with high frequencies.

  • The ARC light has been measured using photo-detect system under different TIG welding condition. Light detect system consists of photo diode, ND Filter, OP Amp. A/D convertor and PC. The purpose of this experiment is to show the relationship between ARC light and process variables such as welding current, torch travel speed, etc. The results can be applied to estimate the condition of welding process and the quality of welding products. The signal of ARC light has periodic patterns in good TIG welding condition whereas in abnormal condition the signal has different pattern. Amount of Ar shielding gas and distance from electrode to specimen affect the signal pattern significantly.

소프트웨어 쿼드러춰 검출기를 이용한 영상개선 (Image enhancement using software quadrature detector)

  • In this paper, we proposed method of performance enhancement of the ultrasonic imaging system using quadrature detector and implementation of the software quandrature detector. Since the quadrature detector is more sensitive than the enbelope detector of the conventional ultrasonic imaging syustem, we are able to achieve the contrast enhnacement. Although hardware quadrature detector is able to process high sped data acquisition, its hardware has complexity. In order to show the performance of the software quadrature we have constructed ultrasonic signal processing system and obtained the reflected signal from the aluminum specimen using A/D convertor. Our experimental results showed that image of the quadrature detector is better than that of the envelope detector.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 방사선 펄스의 고안정 계측회로 및 분석시스템 개발에 있다. 제안한 시스템은 중성자 및 감마선 검출회로, 프로그래머블 고전압 공급장치 및 DSP로 구성된다. 프로그래머블 고전압 공급장치는 입력전압 5V에서 150V까지 조정할 수 있도록 하였으며 직렬의 전압 안정화 회로를 부가하여 일정한 전압이 유지되도록 함으로써 고전압 공급장치의 전압 변동율은 1.63%이하로 얻을 수 있었다. 방사선 검출회로는 능동성 적분기, 폴-제로 회로, 증폭도 60dB의 3단 증폭회로로 구성되며, 주파순 대역은 37 Hz~300 kHz이다. 또한 파고분포의 계수는 방사선 펄스의 분석에 중요한 자료로 본 연구에서는 A/D 컨버터(12bit 100㎱) 및 고속의 DSP(TMS320C31-60)을 이용하여 PC-기반으로 구현되는 파고분석 시스템을 구성하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 8bit 10Ms/s CMOS Folding and Interpolation ADC를 제안한다. 회로에 사용한 구조는 FR(Folding Rate)이 3, NFB(Number of Folding Block)가 4, IR(Interpolation rate)이 8이며, 제안된 전치 증폭기(Preamplifier) 공유 기법을 회로에 사용하여 같은 구조에서 요구하는 전치 증폭기 수를 절반으로 줄여서 전력소모와 유효면적을 줄이도록 설계하였다. 제안된 ADC는 0.35[um] CMOS 디지털 공정을 사용하여 제작하였고, 유효칩 면적은 3.8[$mm^2$] ($1.8[mm]{\times}2.11[mm]$) 이고, 3.3[V], 샘플링 주파수 10[MHz]에서 20[mA]의 DC 전류소모를 나타내었다. INL은 -0.57, +0.61 [LSB], DNL은 -0.4, +0.51 [LSB]으로 측정되었고, 주파수 100[kHz] 정현파 입력신호에서 SFDR은 48.9[dB], SNDR은 47.9[dB](ENOB 7.6b)로 측정되었다.

W밴드 radial 전력 결합기용 TE10-TEM 모드 변환기 설계 (Design of TE10 to TEM mode convertor for W-band radial power combiner)

  • 본 논문에서는 W밴드 radial 전력 결합기용 TE10-TEM 모드 변환기에 대한 설계 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 구조는 일반적으로 이용 가능한 핀을 이용하여 TEM 모드를 구현하도록 하였으며 2단의 임피던스 변환부 및 back-short 구조를 이용하여 TE10 모드에서 TEM 모드로 자연스럽게 변환되도록 설게 하였다. 제안한 모드 변환기의 핀 구조가 하우징에 접합되어 진동 및 충격의 환경이 성능에 영향 없도록 하였다. 제안한 구조의 back-to-back 특성은 92.5~97.7 GHz 대역에서 삽입손실 1.55 dB 이하 및 10 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가짐을 확인하였다. 제안한 모드 변환기를 이용하여 높은 출력 및 안정적인 환경조건을 요구하는 초소형 레이다 및 다양한 응용 분야에 적용이 가능하리라 판단된다.
