Analysis of Differences Between QS-9000 and ISO 9000 (QS-9000과 ISO 9000의 차이분석 및 구현방법)

  • Three big U.S. automakers have developed the QS-9000 quality system for their su, pp.iers. These automakers are requiring their su, pp.iers to implement the QS-9000 based quality system. This QS-9000 system is based upon the ISO 9000 series quality systems. This paper describes the differences between the ISO 9000 series requirements and the QS-9000 requirements. It also suggests the way to implement the QS-9000 quality systems for Korean su, pp.iers.

  • America automakers are requiring their suppliers to implement the QS-9000 based quality system, through they have had a little lukewarm attitude. Therefore, our auto parts makers need to cope with the QS-9000. This paper describes the interrelationship between ISO 9000 requirements and the QS-9000 requirements, the way to solve the problems step by step that originate from the QS-9000 quality system auditing and QS-9000 tendancy.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how QS 9000 Certification might influence company and analyze the effectiveness. Recently most companies are enforced to adapt quality assurance system, such as ISO series, QS 9000 etc, from domestic or foreign certification institutes. Therefore it is very important for all the company to acquire QS 9000 certification. Three Big UㆍS automakers had developed the QS 9000 quality System for their suppliers to implement the ISO 9000 based quality system. To analysis the effects of QS 9000 Quality System for quality improvement of the suppliers data had been gathered on the certification activities through questionnaire and been analyzed by descriptive statistics.

  • ISO 9000 is an efficient quality system for the customer's confidence and satisfaction. Of late years, the revised edition of ISO 9000 quality management system may give lots of positive business values to companies running ISO 9000 system. Despite its tremendous popularity, there is some criticism against the effect and performance of ISO 9000 certification. This research explores the performances and effects of ISO 9000 quality system in small & medium size industrial companies. For this research, 202 companies certified by ISO 9000 standard and 67 companies not certified as contrast group were selected. The related data were collected by web-poll survey. The major analyses are focused on the effect and performance of the ISO 9000 certification, and we established various hypotheses to verify the effect and performance of quality system. Results of statistical analyses show that total performance of quality system is significantly different between certified companies and not certified.

  • QS-9000 was established by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and some Truck Manufactures to solve problems of efforts to prepare original standards for each company. When we compare the requirements in QS-9000 with those in ISO 9000, we may observe that those of QS-9000 are more specific, since the user of the standard is limited to the automobile industry. In particular, the requirements on statistical techniques are described in more detail. In this paper, we present the requirements on statistical techniques in QS-9000. Specifically, we review the contents of QS-9000 and explore the philosophy and the minimum requirement on statistical techniques behind the description.

  • ISO 9000 : 2000은 기존 ISO 9000 품질보증시스템에 측정 및 개선 개념을 접목시켜 품질향상을 도모하는 국제 품질경영시스템 규격이다. 이 규격은 요건을 만족시키는 수동적인 자세에서 탈피하여 경쟁력 강화에 필요한 프로세스 중심의 사고전환을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문은 정보 유통기관에게 ISO 9000:2000을 도입하는 방안을 제시하고 있다. ISO 9000과 TL 9000과의 발전 배경, ISO 9000:2000 버전의 의미, 품질경영시스템의 도입 사례, 그리고 도입 단계 등을 다룬다.

  • Many of companies all over the world have been certified ISO 9000 which is customer focused since last ten 10 years, and industrial sector specific certifications have been developed, such as QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949 which are specific requirements added to ISO 9000 for the automotive industrial sector. Requirements addressed in ISO 9000, QS-9000 and ISO/TS 16949 are considered to be significant. And I think that requirements for reliability elements such as Design FMEA, Process FMEA and Gage R&R are very important. I sincerely hope that my study for requirements for reliability elements to be helpful to individual, companies and related association. There should be a lot of requirements in related with reliability in other industrial sectors and I am planning to study on it continuously.

  • Modern stage must offer to the level which the customer requests the quality of the information service to offer from the information center. We are the one view which needs new system management around the process serving this. This study accomplished theoretical review of ISO 9000 as International Quality Management System. investigated the trend for change of ISO 9000 certification systems. We analyzed the recognition level of members about the introduction of ISO 9000 quality management systems in the information center. The level up of recognition about ISO 9000 quality management system certification systems was the low in the information center. Hereafter, We grasped the subject of ISO 9000 certification systems which the introduction needs. We reviewed ISO 9000 family which the Library and Information center possible apply and presented the requirement in the library and information center with the process to need for a Quality Management System certification.

  • ISO 9000 is a series of several standards(ISO 8402, 9000, 9001, 9002, 9003, 9004,...). ISO 9000 is a standard explaining fundamental concepts, defining important terms, and providing guidance for selecting among the other standards. ISO 9001, the most comprehensive standard to ensure quality in design, development, production, installation, and servicing. ISO 9002 is used to assure conformance to specification, installation and servicing. ISO 9003 has the least requirement among three standards and applies to inspection and final testing. ISO 9004 is a standard developed for internal use only and not applicabe to contractual arrangements. In this paper, quality system requirements for ISO 9000 series are also specified.
