5.8GHz DSRC 방식의 무선통신을 위한 자동차 내비게이션 단말기의 소형 평면배열 안테나 (Compact Planar Array Antenna of a Vehicle Navigator for 5.8GHz DSRC scheme)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차용 내비게이션(navigation) 단말기에 내장된 DSRC 방식의 5.8GHz 대역 무선통신을 위한 패치 안테나를 설계하고 제작하였다. 폭이 좁고 긴 구조적 특징을 갖는 내비게이션 단말기의 상단면에 장착될 수 있도록 기존에 사용되어왔던 단일 반파장 마이크로스트립 패치안테나를 소형화하였고 배열하였다. 또한 배열을 통해 주행차선 안쪽으로 빔폭을 제한하였고, 소형화에 따른 이득저하를 보상하였다. 제안된 안테나를 시뮬레이션 함으로써 타당성을 검증하였으며, 제작된 안테나는 $18{\times}40{\times}0.8mm^3$ 크기를 갖고, 4dB 축비대역폭이 40MHz인 원형편파특성을 나타낸다. 또한, 6.2dBi 이득과 자동차 진행차선의 횡단면 방향으로 약 70도의 빔 폭이 측정되었다.

직류전동차용 피뢰기 진단기술 (Diagnostic Techniques of Lightning Arresters for DC Electric Traction Vehicles)

  • This paper dealt with the performance evaluation and the diagnostic techniques of lightning arresters for DC electric traction vehicle. Field Measurements on the protective operation of lightning arresters against surge currents were carried out on running vehicles to acquire the data necessary for the diagnosis. The frequency and the magnitude of surge events were analyzed. Surge currents of $1\sim3$ times were recorded in one running service route and their magnitudes were ranges of $150A\sim2kA$. Also, an acceleration experiment on a lightning arrester by the standard lightning impulse current of 8/20 us and 5 kA was performed to know the aging characteristics. After the surge current application of 3,000 times, the reference voltage decreased by 4.5 %, and the leakage current was below 10 uA at the continuous operating voltage and about 50 uA at the rated voltage. From the experimental results, we propose a decision level of leakage current for the arrester used in this paper and designed an arrester tester which analyzes arrester condition by the magnitude of leakage current.

Speeding Detection and Time by Time Visualization based on Vehicle Trajectory Data

  • The speed of vehicles has remained a significant factor that influences the severity of accidents and traffic accident rate in many parts of the world including South Korea. This behavior where drivers drive at speeds which exceed a posted safe threshold is known as 'speeding'. Over the past twenty years, the Korean National Police Agency (NPA) has become aware of an increased frequency of drivers who are speeding. Therefore, fixed-type ASE systems [1] have been installed on hazardous road sections of many highways. These system monitor vehicle speeds using a camera. However, the use of ASE systems has changed the behavior of the drivers. Specifically, drivers reduce speed or avoid the route where the cameras are mounted. It is not practical to install cameras at every possible location. Therefore, it is challenging to thoroughly explore the location where speeding occurs. In view of these problems, the author of this paper designed and implemented a prototype visualization system in which point and color are used to show vehicle location and associated over-speed information. All of this information was used to create a comprehensive visualization application to show information about vehicle driving. In this paper, we present an approach detecting vehicles moving at speeds which exceed a threshold and visualizing the points those violations occur on a map. This was done using vehicle trajectory data collected in Daegu city. We propose steps for exploring the data collected from those sensors. The resulting mapping has two layers. The first layer contains the dynamic vehicle trajectory data. The second underlying layer contains the static road networks. This allows comparing the speed of vehicles on roads with the known maximum safe speed of those roads, and presents the results with a visualization tool. We also compared data about people who drive over threshold safe speeds on each road on days and weekends based on vehicle trajectories. Finally, our study suggests improved times and locations where law enforcement should use monitoring with speed cameras, and where they should be stricter with traffic law enforcement. We learned that people will drive over the speed limit at midnight more than 1.9 times as often when compared with rush hour traffic at 8 o'clock in the morning, and 4.5 times as often when compared with traffic at 7 o'clock in the evening. Our study can benefit the government by helping them select better locations for installation of speed cameras. This would ultimately reduce police labor in traffic speed enforcement, and also has the potential to improve traffic safety in Daegu city.

신경회로망을 이용한 수직형 롤러 분쇄기의 최적설계 (Optimization of Vertical Roller Mill by Using Artificial Neural Networks)

  • 포틀랜드 시멘트용 분쇄기는 독일과 일본 등 선진국에서 도입된 고가의 대형 기계이다. 따라서 이에 대한 체계적 정비 및 보수가 원활히 진행되어야 포틀랜드 시멘트의 생산설비에 대한 안정성을 확보할 수 있다. 한편 국내에 도입된 수직형 롤러 분쇄기는 포틀랜드 시멘트의 원료인 석회석의 시간당 생산량이 5.5MN이나 되는 세계 최대 규모의 분쇄기로서 설계 수명이 $4{\times}10^{7%}$사이클 정도이나 대략 $4{\times}10^6\;{\sim}\;8{\times}10^6$ 사이클 정도에서 파괴되고 있어 계획 예방 정비에 대한 어려움이 있으며, 수직형 롤러 분쇄기의 보수비용을 절감하기 위하여 롤러 분쇄기에 대한 효과적인 재설계가 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 확률론적인 절차가 내재되어 있어 불확실성을 다룰 수 있고, 대량의 복잡한 비선형적인 관계도 단순화의 과정 없이 연관 관계를 자체 조직화할 수 있는 인간의 뇌와 가장 유사한 병렬연산모델인 신경회로망을 수직형 롤러 분쇄기에 적용하여 최적설계를 수행하였다.

Influence of vehicle for calcium hydroxide on postoperative pain: a scoping review

  • This review aims to identify the influence of the vehicle and its concentration used to carry calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) medicament on postoperative pain. The protocol for this review was registered in the open science framework (Registration DOI-10.17605/OSF.IO/4Y8A9) and followed the guidelines provided by the Joanna Briggs Institute. Reporting was based on the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses extension for scoping reviews (PRISMA-ScR). Literature screening and searches were performed on PubMed/Medline, Scopus, and EBSCO hosts. Furthermore, additional records were manually analyzed using various sources. The selected studies were published in English and included the use of any vehicle adjunct to Ca(OH)2 to evaluate postoperative pain using qualitative and quantitative pain assessment tools. Descriptive analysis was conducted to review the study design, vehicle elements, and their effects. A preliminary search yielded 7584 studies, of which 10 were included. According to the data collected, the most commonly used Ca(OH)2 vehicles were chlorhexidine (CHX), normal saline, and camphorated paramonochlorophenol/glycerine (CPMC/glycerine), which had a significant effect on postoperative pain. Among the included studies, six evaluated the effect of CHX as a vehicle. It was observed that a higher concentration of the vehicle (2%) showed a favorable response in reducing postoperative pain. A majority of studies have validated a positive consequence of using a vehicle on postoperative pain. Although higher vehicle concentrations were found to alter postoperative pain levels, the data were insufficient to draw a firm conclusion. Our scoping review indicates that further clinical studies should focus on using different vehicles at various concentrations and application times to check for feasible and safe exposure in addition to providing pain relief.

디젤 및 가솔린자동차 배출원의 구성물질 성분비 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Source Profile Development for Diesel and Gasoline-Powered Vehicles)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the $PM_{2.5}$ source profiles for diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles, which contained mass abundances in terms of mass fraction of $PM_{2.5}$ of chemical species. Seven diesel-powered vehicles and nine gasoline-powered vehicles were sampled from a chassis dynamometer exhaust dilution system. The species measured were water-soluble ions, elements, elemental carbon (EC), and organic carbon (OC). From this study, the large abundances of EC (54.5%), OC (26.0%), ${SO_4}^{2-}$ (1.5%), ${NO_3}^-$ (0.8%), and S (0.6%) were observed from the diesel-powered vehicle exhaust showing that carbons were dominant species. The gasoline-powered vehicle exhaust emitted large abundances of OC (38.3%), EC (4.2%), ${SO_4}^{2-}$ (3.6%), ${NH_4}^+$ (3.5%), and ${NO_3}^-$ (3.0%). The abundances of ${SO_4}^{2-}$, ${NH_4}^+$, and ${NO_3}^-$ from gasoline vehicle were greater than those of diesel vehicle. The emissions of P, S, Ca, Fe, and Zn among trace elements for the gasoline vehicle were greater than 1% of the $PM_{2.5}$ mass unlike those for the diesel vehicle. Particularly, the fraction of Zn was five times higher from the gasoline vehicle than that from the diesel vehicle. The source profiles developed in this work were intensively examined by applying chemical mass balance model.

다층구조의 이중편파 다중대역 패치 안테나 설계 (Design of Dual-Polarized and Multi-Band Multi-Layer Patch Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 GPS(Global positioning System)-Bluetooth-DSRC(Dedicated short range communication) 대역의 신호를 동시에 수신할 수 있는 차량용 이중편파 다중대역 안테나를 적층형으로 설계하였다. 안테나는 다층 구조(Multi-Layer)이고, 유전율이 4.4이고, 두께가 1.6mm 인 FR4-epoxy 기판을 사용하였다. GPS와 DSRC 대역은 원형편파(Circular Polarization) 특성을 가지고, 블루투스 대역은 선형편파(Linear Polarization) 특성을 가지며, 이들 안테나는 단일 프루브 급전하였다. 안테나는 Ansys HFSS v11로 시뮬레이션 하였고, 측정결과와 비교하면서 크기가 $67mm{\times}67mm{\times}4.8mm$인 안테나를 설계하였다. 최적 설계된 안테나는 -10dB 대역폭이 각 대역에서 82MHz, 127MHz, 862MHz로 측정되었고, GPS 및 DSRC 대역의 3dB 축비 대역폭은 12MHz와 112MHz로 시뮬레이션 되었다. 이 결과는 시스템이 요구하는 사양을 만족하고 있음을 확인하였다.

푸드뱅크 기탁 조리식품의 미생물학적 위해분석(I) (Microbial Risk Analysis of Cooked Foods Donated to Foodbank(I))

  • To ensure the microbiological safety of food items prepared after cooking process, this study was aimed to identify the hazards related with cooked foods donated to foodbanks through quantitative microbial analysis. Five foodbanks located in Incheon and Gyeonggi area among government-dominant foodbanks were surveyed from February to June, 2007. Manager, recipient, donator, type and quantity of donated foot and facility and equipment were examined for the general characteristics of foodbank. The time and temperature of food md environment were measured at steps from after-production to before-distribution, and the microbial analysis was performed mainly with indicator organism and major pathogens. The amount of cooked foods donated to each foodbank was about 20 to 30 servings and consisted of 80% of total donated foods. Only three foodbanks had separate offices for foodbank operation and four institutions had at least one temperature-controlled vehicle. The flow of donated foods was gone through the steps; production, meal service and holding at donator, collection by foodbank, transport (or holding after transport) and distribution to recipients. It took about 3.8 to 6.5 hours at room temperature from after-production to before-distribution. Only aerobic plate counts (APC) and coliforms were found in microbial analysis. The APC after production were relatively high in $8.2{\times}10^5,\;7.4{\times}10^5,\;6.9{\times}10^5$ and $4.2{\times}10^5 CFU/g$ while $2.8{\times}10^6, \;9.4{\times}10^5,\;1.0{\times}10^6$ and $5.4{\times}10^5CFU/g$ before distribution in mixed Pimpinella brachycarpa, mixed chard mixed amaranth and mixed spinach, respectively. The levels of coliforms in mixed chard and mixed spinach were complied with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Management The level of APC in boiled pork was increased from $< 1.0{\times}10 CFU/g$ to $4.0{\times}10^2 CFU/g$. One of delivery vessels was shown $6.2{\times}10^3 CFU/100 cm^2$ in APC, which was over the standards for environment. One of serving tables also showed the high level of $1.2{\times}10^3 CFU/100 cm^2$ in APC and $6.6{\times}10^2 CFU/100 cm^2$ in coliforms. These results suggest the sanitary management of holding at donator and the time-temperature control are key factors to ensure the safety of cooked foods donated to foodbank.

Antiarrhythmic Effects of KR-32570, a Novel Na+-H+ Exchanger Inhibitor, on Ischemia/Reperfusion-Induced Arrhythmias

  • The present study was performed to evaluate antiarrhythmic effects of KR-32570, a novel inhibitor of sodium hydrogen exchanger subtype-1 (NHE-1), in rat arrhythmia induced by focal ischemia and reperfusion. During ischemia, KR-32570 significantly decreased the number of premature ventricular contraction (PVC) from 152.0 times to 75.5, 52.4 and 20.0 times for 0.1, 0.3 and 1.0 mg/kg, respectively (p<0.05) and the duration of ventricular tachycardia (VT) from 88.1 s to 35.8, 7.7 and 1.3 s, respectively(p<0.05) in anesthetized rats subjected to 10-min coronary occlusion of coronary artery. Similarlt to ischemia-induced arrhythmia, KR-32570 significantly decreased reperfusion-induced arrhythmia including PVC (41.3, 21.5, 11.3 and 6.6 times at vehicle, 0.1, 0.3 and 1.0 mg/kg, respectively, p<0.05) and VT (100.5, 64.2, 25.8 and 25.2 s, respectively, p<0.05), and VF (86.9, 27.5, 6.9 and 0 s, respectively, p<0.05). Moreover, KR-32570 dose-dependently decreased the incidence of mortality occurring after reperfusion (41, 27, 18 and 0% at vehicle, 0.1, 0.3, 1.0 mg/kg, respectively). These results suggest that KR-32570 has a potent antiarrhythmic effect in rat arrhythmia induced by ischemia and reperfusion.

고속철도차량 1차 구동장치에 대한 완전분해정비의 최적 주기 평가 (Evaluation of Optimal Time Between Overhaul Period of the First Driving Devices for High-Speed Railway Vehicle)

  • 고속철도차량 동력대차의 1차 구동장치는 모터 감속기와 견인전동기로 구성한다. 모터 감속기와 견인전동기는 기계적으로 일체형 결합 구조이지만, 상이한 기술 요구사항으로 인하여 이들의 완전 분해정비 주기는 서로 다르다(모터 감속기의 완전 분해정비 주기: $1.8{\times}10^6km$, 견인전동기의 완전 분해정비 주기: $2.5{\times}10^6km$). 따라서 불필요한 정비 횟수를 감소하기 위하여 신뢰성 중심 유지보수 관점에서 최적의 완전 분해정비 주기의 산정이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 실제 유지보수 정비이력으로부터 두 구성품들에 대한 고장 결함나무 분석을 수행하고 각 하부부품들의 치명도를 고려한 고장률을 각각 평가하였다. 두 구성품에 대한 최적의 동일한 완전분해 정비주기는 기존의 총 예방정비 비용을 감소하기 위하여 유전자 알고리즘으로 부터 얻었다. 이 알고리즘에서 각 개체를 구성하는 유전자는 최소 예방 정비주기이며, 이의 조합으로 구성된 세대별 개체의 적합도함수는 총 정비비용의 역수로 공식화하여 얻는다. 최소공배수에 의한 방법은 기존 대비 4%만 감소하지만, 유전자 알고리즘에 의한 최적의 동일 완전분해 정비주기는 225만km로서 기존 방법의 총비용과 비교하여 약 14% 감소하였다.
