  • 다음은 미 곡물협회의 초청으로 내한 한 미국의 양돈전문가 베노렌스만씨가 한국의 양돈업자를 위해 가질 일반적인 돼지 사양 프로그램을 간략히 기술한 것이다. 베노렌스만씨는 대전(5월 31일), 서울(6월 3일), 부산(6월 14일), 전주(6월 21일) 등지에서 강습회를 가질 예정이다. 베노렌스만씨의 원고는 중앙일보 개발부 양돈담당 김성준씨가 맡아 수고해 주었다.

Sporulation and Dissemination of Pycnidiospores of Diaporthe citri in Yuzu Tree (Citrus junos Sieb) in Jeonnam Area (전남지역 유자과원의 검은점무늬병균 포자 형성과 비산)

  • Several time-course experiments were carried out to understand seasonal development of melanose on yuzu trees at koehung area, Jeonnam province, during May to October. The occurrence of dead twigs, known as a source of infection, was much more in older trees, and from June to August, mostly in July. In the experiment of pycnidia development on dead twigs seasonally collected, the number of developed pycnidia was highest on July-collected dead twigs especially with the diameter of 1.1~1.5 cm. In the collection survey of disseminated pycnidiospores, although the collected number of pycnidiospores was affected with amount of precipitation, the number of observed pycnidiospores in rainwater was relatively high from June to August, with highest in early August in 1997 and late July in 1998. In the inoculation tests on 3-year-old trees and fruits in natural condition, disease occurrences were mostly affected on twigs by inocula treatment in June, and on fruits by inocula treatment in July, respectively.

Effects of Climatic Elements on Soybean Yields (콩의 수량에 영향을 미치는 기상요소 평가)

  • The soybean yield forcasting models based on climatic elements in six locations were estimated by the STEPWISE/MAXR, Cp statistics and GLM procedure of SAS. The climatic elements were aerial temperature, sunshine hours and precipitation from May to October in 20 years. The investigated six locations were Chunchon, Suwon, Cheongju, Kwangju, Iri and Jinju. The important climatic elements for main effects in Chunchon model were August sunshine hours-linear term, August precipitation-quadratic. June temperature to August precipitation and May temperature to August precipitation were interaction terms. The quadratic August precipitation was assumed to be related to yield in Chunchon. The main effects of Suwon were linear-June temperature, quadratic June sunshine hours and June precipitation. These terms affected yields negatively. The main effects of Cheongju were linear June temperature and quadratic August precipitation. May temperature to June precipitation, July to August precipitations were interactions. The main effects of Kwangju were linear July precipitation, quadratic June temperature and July precipitation. June to July sunshine hours of interaction terms influenced yield negatively. The main effects of Iri were linear May sunshine hours, quadratic May and July sunshine hours. May temperature to May precipitation and June to July precipitations affected yields negatively. The main effects of Jinju were linear June and August precipitations. August temperature to August sunshine hours, June sunshine hours to July precipitation and June to August precipitation were interactions. In linear terms, June and August precipitations and, in interactions, August to August sunshine hours were negative efficacies respectively. The included year variables in Chunchon, Suwon, Kwangju, and Jinju model building were recognized as a linear trend based on an assumption that the technological factors have improved through times.

Seasonal Changes of Growth and Extract Content of Roots in Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer (인삼의 지하부 생육 및 엑스함량의 경시적 변화)

  • Monthly changes of underground growth and ethanol extract content was investigated from April to September in Korean ginseng of 4, 5 and 6 year-old. Taproot's length was repeatedly reduced and recovered without increasing by growth duration, while it's diameter was gradually increased until September of harvest time. Top weight reached to the peak on July, and decreased gradually until harvest time. Root weight of 4, 5 and 6-year-old ginseng was decreased on May, but increased gradually until harvest time except 6-year-old ginseng decreased after July. Relative growth rate (RGR) of root per plant was low on May and August, but high on June, July, and September in 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng. RGR of 4 and 5-year-old ginseng in each lateral and fine root showed distinct changes by month, while those showed little seasonal changes in 6 year-old ginseng. Ratio of root above 60g on september was 23%, 60% and 69%, respectively, among 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng. Moisture content of root was gradually decreased until september without significant difference from July to september in 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng, and its descending order on september was 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng. Hardness of taproot was decreased on May, but increased until september in 4 and 5 year-old ginseng, while that of 6 year-old ginseng was gradually decreased from August to september. Extract content of 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng in taproot and lateral root was distinctly decreased from March to June, but gradually increased until September. Although extract content of March and May in 4 year-old ginseng on showed higher than that of 5 and 6 year-old ginseng, it of September didn't show significant difference among 4, 5 and 6 year-old ginseng.

Distributions of Soil Organisms in the Ginseng Cultivation Fields (인삼 경작지 토양생물 분포)

  • To investigate abundance of soil organisms in the ginseng cultivation, we have selected 6 different cultivated lands in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do. The microarthropods were assessed on the basis of 3,101 individuals collected between April and November 2008. The taxonomic composition and abundance of microarthropods were as follows: Acari 44.9%, Collembola 50.1% and others 5.0%. Density increased at the cast and 4 year point, and the population of microarthropods was high in April and May, but low in July and August. Acari/Collembola ratio was approximately 0.90%. There was no correlation between soil factors and microarthropods. The density of soil actinomyces represented a monthly average $0.3{\sim}0.9{\times}10^6\;cfu\;g^{-1}$, and fungi tended to increase and decrease regularity at each spots, where highest decrease was observed in August and September. The density of bacteria was $1.1{\sim}9.6{\times}10^6\;cfu\;g^{-1}$ in each period and those in June and August were much higher than after August. The distribution of fluorescent Pseudomonas showed regular tendency in early survey periods but did not appear in significant numbers after July.

Effect of Sowing and Harvest Time on Forage Yield and Feed Value of Spring and Fall Oats at Youngnam Mountain Area (영남산간지역에서 파종 및 수확시기에 따른 봄과 가을 귀리의 조사료 수량과 사료가치)

  • This study estimated the effect of sowing and harvesting dates on dry matter (DM) yield and feed value of forage oats at Sancheong, Korea. The forage oats (Darkhorse vs. Highspeed) were used in this experiment. The experimental main plots consisted of the different sowing and harvesting dates at 2 seasons as follows: spring oats of sowing (February 25, March 3 and March 13) and harvesting (May 27, June 6 and June 16); and fall oats of sowing (August 15, August 25 and September 4) and harvesting (October 15, October 25 and November 4). On spring oats, Highspeed sown on March 3 and then harvesting on June 6 had the highest (p<0.05) plant length and DM yield. Crude protein content decreased (p<0.05) in seed of the delayed-harvesting Highspeed. On fall oats, plant length and DM yield with the delayed-harvesting date increased (p<0.05), while crude protein content of the delayed-harvesting Highspeed decreased (p<0.05). This study concluded that the spring oat sown in early March and then harvesting in early June was recommended to increase dry matter and feed value although the fall oat sown in end August and then harvesting in early November was recommended for fall period.

96 석유정제시설 정기보수계획

  • 올해 석유정제시설에 대한 정기보수가 지난 5월 6일부터 시작하여 오는 11월까지 연보수일수 2백 21일간 상압증류시설에 대한 정기보수를 실시하고 있다. 올해 석유정제시설에 대한 정기보수는 유공등에서 작년에 정기보수를 실시하지 않았던 일부 시설의 정기보수를 금년도에 실시함에 따라 연간 정기보수일수가 지난해의 1백 72일보다 49일이 늘어났다. 정유공장의 정기보수는 계절적인 영향으로 대부분 5-6월에 실시하고 있으며, 올해의 경우에도 정기보수가 5-6월에 집중됨에 따라 6월에는 국내 총 생산능력의 23.5%에 해당하는 1천4백10만배럴의 생산이 감소할 전망이다. 각 정유사의 정기보수 절차와 과정등을 알아본다. <편집자 주>

  • 일 년 중 정보보호와 관련된 이벤트와 행사들이 가장 많은 시기가 6월이다. 국내 최대 규모로 치뤄지는 정보보호심포지움2009(Symposium on Information Security)을 비롯해 정보보호 공모전, 그리고 숨은 정보보호 고수들이 벌이는 축제 한마당 해킹방어대회 시상식 등 정보보호 세미나와 각종 시상식이 6월 한 달 간 이어질 예정이다. 5월 $13{\sim}14$일 양일간 개최됐던 제6회 해킹방어대회&KUCIS 컨퍼런스를 중심으로 6월에 예정된 정보보호 행사를 소개해 본다.

한강하류의 환경학적 연구 VII. 가을철 식물플랑크톤의 대발생

  • 본 연구는 2001년 9, 10, 11월에 2주 간격으로 6개 정점에서 한강 하류 수욕6개 정점(팔당대교-행주대교)에서 식물플랑크톤 군집과 수지로한경(수온, 염분도, pH, DO, BOD, SS, TN, TP, $NO_{3}-N$, $NH_{4}-N$, $PO_{4}-P$)을 조사하였다. 수온은 7,8월에 $24~27^{\circ}C$ 로 높았으며, BOD의 평균 농도는 정점 1과 2에서 각각 1.26mg/l, i.39mg/l이었고, 정점 3~6에서 3.52~4.01mg/l이었다. $NO_{3}-N$은 정점 1에서 6까지 평균 1.36~1.98mg/l의 범위였고, $PO_{4}-P$의 평균 농도는 BOD, $NO_{3}-N$와 마찬가지로 하류오 향할수록 높아져 정점 6에서 정점 1의 39배였다. TN은 평균 1.74~6.89mg/l, TP는 0.03~0.42mg/l의 범위였다. 한강하류의 수질은 강우에 영향이 크며, 탄천의 영향을 받는 정점 3(영동대교)에서 급격히 나빠져 성산대교까지 유지되다가 안양천의 영향을 받는 행주대교에서 최고조로 악화되는 거으로 파악되었다. 식물플랑크톤 현존량은 6월 4일 평균 $5.81\times10^{6}cells/l$로 감소하였다가 7월 13일 $28.53\times10^{6}cells/l$로 증가하였다. 7월 28일과 8월 11일에 각각 $3.07~8.34\times10^{6}cells/l$로 감소하였다가 8월25일 $24.47\times10^{6}cells/l$로 다시 증가하여 조사기간 중 항시 대발생이 유지되고 있었다. 본 수역에서 우점종은, 6월에 전 조사정점에서 Aulacoseria granulata와 Aulacoseria granulata var. angustussima, 7월에는 Aulacoseria granulata var. angustussima와 Stephanodiscus hantzschii f. tenuis와 남조류인 Anabaena sp., Oscillatoria sp.가 우점을 하였다. 8월에는 남조류인 Anabaena sp. Microcystic sp. Osillatoria sp.가 높은 비율로 우점하였다. 여름철 식물플랑크톤 대발생에 영향은 수온과 직산염이 중요하였으나, 부유물질 크게 기여하지 못하였다.
