With the recent commercialization of the 5th generation mobile communication technology (5G), interest is focused on full-fledged wireless communication service products in related industries that apply the technology. In this paper, "the problems of the cloud-based video game streaming service market, which has been stagnant for a long time due to the existing 4G-based transmission delay, processing delay, and price issues, and the problems of 5G mobile communication, which began commercialization in 2019." We contains information about what type of positive changes a cloud-based video game streaming service incorporating technology will bring.

Mobile WiMAX technology is the key solution for providing high speed internet services at anytime and anywhere in mobile environments as 3.5th wireless technology between 3rd generation and 4th generation wireless technology, and the service demands shall be rapidly increased in future some years. This paper analyzed the QoS performance of Mobile WiMAX technology recommended by IEEE 802.16e specification under the restricted simulation conditions and environments. The major metrics for analyzing QoS performance of Mobile WiMAX are 1) total packet drop rates; 2) transmission / receive packet sizes; 3) end to end delay in node 2; 4) packet drop rate by mobile terminal mobility.

Millimeter wave (mmWave) has attracted great interest recently and the necessity of Millimeter Mobile Broadband (MMB) system has appeared based on the 4 Generation Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) Specification. Currently, there are many studies about the mmWave communication channel. And it is subject of interest to analyze the performance in MMB channel environments. In this paper, we design the MMB system for 5th Generation mobile communication and propose channel models through the analysis of the mmWave propagation characteristics. Also, we have analyzed the performance of the MMB system of 28 GHz band in MMB channel environments.
Due to the recent increase in the mobile streaming market, mobile traffic is increasing exponentially. IMT-2020, named as the next generation mobile communication standard by ITU, is called the 5th generation mobile communication (5G), and is a technology that satisfies the data traffic capacity, low latency, high energy efficiency, and economic efficiency compared to the existing LTE (Long Term Evolution) system. 5G implements this technology by utilizing a high frequency band, but there is a problem of path loss due to the use of a high frequency band, which is greatly affected by system performance. In this paper, small cell technology was presented as a solution to the high frequency utilization of 5G mobile communication system, and furthermore, the system performance was improved by applying machine learning technology to macro communication and small cell communication method decision. It was found that the system performance was improved due to the technical application and the application of machine learning techniques.
The 5G is the 5th generation mobile network that provides enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-reliable & low latency communications, and massive machine-type communications. New services can be provided through multi-access edge computing, network function virtualization, and network slicing, which are key technologies in 5G mobile communication. However, these new technologies provide new attack paths and threats. In this paper, we analyzed the overall threats of 5G mobile communication through a literature review. First, defines 5G mobile communication, analyzes its features and technology architecture, and summarizes possible security issues. Addition, it presents security threats from the perspective of user devices, radio access network, multi-access edge computing, and core networks that constitute 5G mobile communication. After that, security requirements for threat factors were derived through literature analysis. The purpose of this study is to conduct a fundamental analysis to examine and assess the overall threat factors associated with 5G mobile communication. Through this, it will be possible to protect the information and assets of individuals and organizations that use 5G mobile communication technology, respond to various threat situations, and increase the overall level of 5G security.

GSM platform is a hugely successful wireless technology and an unprecedented story of global achievement. In less than ten years since the first GSM network was commercially launched, it became the world's leading and fastest growing mobile standard, using over 1 billion GSM subscribers across more than 200 countries of the world. GSM platform evolved into 3th generation mobile communication which includes not only voice call services but also the international roaming and various kinds of the multimedia services. GSM is an essential element techniques a safe data transmission and a personal private protection while support services. However, a crypto algorithm and a secure protocol for a safe data communication using GSM are indicating various kinds of problems. In this paper, we propose a more safer and more efficient authentication protocol in 3th generation network through analysis of GSM security mechanism of 2th/2.5th generation. This security protocol offers enforced security efficiency by using user verification between SIM/ME and reduction of authentication and key agreement step between SIM/ME/AuC.

The new 5G radio technology (NR) can provide ultra-reliable low latency communications. The supporting 5G network infrastructure will move away from the previous point-to-point network architecture to a service-based architecture. 5G can provide three new things, i.e., wider channels, lower latency and more bandwidth. These will allow 5G to support three main types of connected services, including enhanced mobile broadband, mission-critical communications, and the massive Internet of Things (IoT). In 2015, the 5th generation (5G) mobile communication was officially approved by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as IMT-2020. Since then, 3GPP, the international organization responsible for 5G standards, is actively developing specifications for 5G technologies. 3GPP Release 15 provides the first full set of 5G standards, and the evolution and expansion of 5G are now being standardized in Release 16 and 17, respectively. This paper provides an overview of 3GPP 5G technologies and key services.

An explosive expansion of the use of smart devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs in mobile telecommunications service is bringing about a steep increase of mobile traffic volumes. Mobile network operators or telcos are introducing the $4^{th}$ generation LTE network, which handles traffics more efficiently, to respond such enormously increasing traffics. Meanwhile, it is wondered how LTE contributes to raising a competitive edge of telcos. This paper aims at empirically testing whether the first mover of LTE acquired its competitive advantages. In this paper, we analyzed a number of telcos of 10 major countries. As a result, it turned out that there is no first mover's advantages, that is, the first mover did not have any competitive advantages in market share, profitability, and so on.

With the advent of new convergence services, the requirements of 5G mobile communication systems are being newly derived. The 5G mobile communication system has been evolving to solve requirements that cannot be satisfied with existing 4G mobile communication systems, such as a high user experience transmission rate, short transmission delay, and high connection density. The evolution of a 5G mobile communication system to meet the new requirements is expected to be dominated by the UDN environment in which a number of small cells are concentrated. The 5G wireless backhaul system, which has advantages in terms of initial installation and operation cost, is expected to be an indispensable choice for connecting many small cells and core networks. This paper therefore looks at the frequency band characteristics and requirements applicable to 5G wireless backhaul systems that can accommodate new situations, and introduces key related technologies that can satisfy the 5G wireless backhaul requirements.. In addition, we describe the research and development trends of a 5G wireless backhaul system that is currently under development.
It becomes important to analyze the effects of electromagnetic wave on human body, as various wireless equipments are widely used in daily life. SAR (specific absorption rate) is a parameter of the effects of electromagnetic wave on human body. However, it considers only human tissues, and it is difficult to evaluate the effects of electromagnetic wave when metal artifacts are inserted such as dental implants. This paper introduces a method to simulate SAR, and gets its simulated results. Simulated SAR of human head model with dental implants in 30 GHz 5th generation mobile communications (5G) frequency band is $2.50{\times}10^{-3}W/kg$ in maximum and $8.58{\times}10^{-7}W/kg$ in average. These values are absolutely below 1.6 W/kg Korean domestic SAR limit.
