한국인에서의 페닐케톤뇨증의 유전자변이에 대한 고찰 (The Study of DNA Mutations of Phenylketonuria in Koreans)

  • 목 적 : 페닐케톤뇨증은 상염색체 열성으로 유전되는 아미노산 대사질환으로 PAH와 조효소인 $BH_4$의 활성이 저하되어 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 PAH 유전자 돌연변이와 임상양상과의 연관성을 조사하였고 PAH DNA 변이의 국가간의 차이를 분석하였다. 방 법 : 페닐케톤뇨증 환자와 환자 가족의 동의하에 DNA를 말초혈액의 백혈구에서 분리하여 PAH 유전자를 PCR을 통해 증폭하여 유전자 서열을 분석하였고 PAH 돌연변이가 하나의 대립유전자에서만 발견이 되거나 없는 경우는 분석된 서열을 MLPA를 시행하여 분석을 하였다. 결 과 : 유전자 검사를 시행한 102명의 대립유전자 204개 중 199개의 돌연변이가 발견되어 97%의 검출률을 보였다. 발견된 돌연변이는 총 44가지의 유전자형으로 9개는 novel missense mutation이었고 1개는 novel splice site mutation이었다. 가장 많은 대립 유전자형은 R243Q와 $IVS4^{-1}$G>A로 각각 13.1%와 11.6%를 나타내었다. 전형적 페닐케톤뇨증에서는 R243Q와 $IVS4^{-1}$G>A가 각각 14.2%를 차지하였고 $BH_4$ 반응형 페닐케톤뇨증의 경우에는 R241C가 33.3%, 양성 고페닐알라닌혈증이 R241C가 40%에서 나타났다. $BH_4$ 반응형 페닐케톤뇨증의 경우에는 약물 치료만으로 조절이 되는 환자에서 T278I와 V388M mutation이 발견되었고 약물 치료만으로 조절이 되지 않고 식사요법을 병행해야하는 환자들에서만 K95del과 A447P의 돌연변이가 나타났다. 그리고 2004년 이전에는 동양인에게서 A259T 대립유전자 돌연변이가 발견되지 않은 것으로 보고되었으나 본 연구에서는 10.1%에서 발견되었다. 결 론 : 페닐케톤뇨증과 관련된 새로운 유전자 변이들이 발견되고 있으며 $BH_4$에 반응하는 유전자 변이들의 유전자형들이 확인되면서 PAH 유전자 분석은 페닐케톤뇨증 환자에서 진단, 유전상담, 식사 요법과 치료 계획 수립에 기여할 것이다.

병원 호스피스센터-보건소 연계를 통한 지역사회 재가암환자 관리 프로그램 평가 (Evaluation of a Community-Based Cancer Patient Management Program: Collaboration between a Hospice Center and Public Health Centers)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 말기 재가암환자 관리를 위한 병원호스피스센터와 보건소 간의 연계 프로그램을 평가함으로써 보다 효율적이고 효과적인 재가암환자 관리체계를 구축하고자 시도되었다. 방법: 호스피스센터-보건소 재가암관리 연계 사업은 1) 협약체결, 2) 재가 말기암환자 발굴 및 등록, 3) 가정호스피스 방문 서비스 제공, 4) 만족도 조사의 단계로 전개되었다. 일 호스피스센터와 지역의 3개 보건소가 협약을 체결하였고, 2009년 2월 1일에서 12월 31일까지 11개월 동안 43명의 환자에게 605건의 가정호스피스 방문을 실시하였다. 방문기록지 분석을 통해 서비스 대상자의 특성과 제공된 서비스의 종류와 내용을 분석하였고, 이 중 20명에게 서비스 만족도 조사를 실시하였다. 결과: 대상자의 76.7%가 60세 이상이었고, ECOG 전신 수행상태 점수는 0점과 1점이 각각 37.2%, 39.5%이었다. 환자가 병식이 있는 경우는 90.7%, 호스피스 동의서에 서명한 경우는 62.8%였다. 초기방문 시 환자의 주 호소는 전신쇠약감(86.0%)과 식욕부진(72.1%)이 가장 많았다. 평균 총 서비스 기간은 144.42일이었고, 총 605건의 방문 중 간호사 방문이 371회로 가장 많았다. 각 방문중 정서적 지지와 건강상담이 가장 빈번하게 제공되었고, 서비스 전반에 대한 만족도는 5점 척도로 측정하였을 때 평균 4.45점이었다. 결론: 본 연구는 지역사회 내에서 실제적이고 체계적인 재가 말기암환자 관리 프로그램 구축을 위한 중간평가로서의 의미가 있다. 본 연구에서 의뢰된 대상자는 입원형 호스피스보다 기능 상태가 양호하고 서비스 제공기간이 길었으며, 서비스에 대한 만족도, 특히 정서적지지와 환자상태 설명에 대한 만족도가 높았다. 그러나 방문횟수와 빈도, 임종기 관리, 병원입원 재입원하는 환자관리에 대한 기준과 서비스 표준마련은 앞으로의 과제로 제시되었다.

초등학교 영양교육에 대한 학생과 학부모의 인식도 조사 (Students' and Parents' Perceptions of Nutrition Education in Elementary Schools)

  • 본 연구에서는 전국 16개 지역 초등학교 학생 7,577명과 학부모 6,003명을 대상으로 학부모의 가정에서의 영양교육실태, 학부모와 학생이 인식하는 학교 영양교육의 필요성 및 교육방향, 학생들의 영양교육에 대한 관심도와 학부모대상 식생활교실 관심도 등을 학교급식 유형별로 비교하였다. 학부모의 81.4%가 가정에서의 영양교육이 충분하지 못한 것으로 인식하였고, 63.2%가 가정에서의 영양교육 실시에 어려움을 느꼈으며, 그 이유로는 자녀의 영양상태 파악부족이 41.9%로 가장 많았고, 가정에서 실시하고 있는 영양교육은 편식교정이 73.1%로 가장 높았다. 영양교육의 필요성에 대해서 학부모의 96.6%, 학생의 62.8%가 필요한 것으로 인식하였고, 영양교육 적임자로는 학부모의 53.8%와 학생의 46.2%가 영양교사로 인식하였으며, 교육시기로는 학부모의 88.4%가 유치원 및 초등학교 저학년부터 실시하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 인식하였다. 영양교육 유형으로는 학부모의 55.8%가 실습을 병행한 교육이 적당하다고 답하였고, 도시형 급식학교 학부모의 경우 특별활동반을 활용한 교육을, 농어촌형 급식학교 학부모의 경우는 재량활동시간을 활용하는 것을 더 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 학생들은 적절한 영양교육 시간을 일주일에 1시간으로 응답한 경우가 가장 많았고, 영양교육 유형으로는 특별활동반 및 우리농산물 체험교육에 대해서 78.5%가 관심을 나타내었으며, 참여해보고 싶은 특별활동반으로는 조리실습반 73.0%, 편식교정반 12.8%, 비만관리반 10.1% 순이었다. 방학을 이용한 건강 식생활 캠프는 조리실습 캠프 68.3%, 전통음식 탐방 캠프 41.3%, 편식 캠프 19.5% 순으로 조사되었다. 학부모 대상 식생활 교실을 운영할 경우 74%의 학부모가 참여의사가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 식생활 교실운영 시 관심분야는 조리실습 47.4%, 식사요법 45.7%, 식품정보 44.5% 순으로 나타났으며, 식품정보에 대한 관심도는 도시형 급식학교의 학부모가 농어촌형 급식학교의 학부모보다 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 이상의 결과 초등학생 및 학부모들은 영양교육의 필요성을 절실히 인식하고 있었으며, 학생들은 특별활동반을 활용하여 일주일에 1시간씩 영양교육을 받기를 원하는 것으로 나타났고, 학부모 또한 자녀들이 실습을 병행한 교육을 받기를 원하는 것으로 나타났으므로 향후 특별활동반 운영을 위한 체계적인 영양교육프로그램이나 지침서의 개발이 절실히 필요하다고 하겠다.

뇌졸중 환자의 주간 재활간호센터에 대한 요구 (The Needs for Rehabilitation Day Care Center in Stroke Patients)

  • In order to provide information for the establishment and maintenance of a rehabilitation day care center for stroke patients. this study is to assess needs for the rehabilitation day care center of the stroke patients and to identify the factors influencing the needs for the center. The data were collected face-to-face interview with 223 stroke patients. using a structured questionnaire. from September 24. 2001 to November 20. 2001. Major findings are as follows. 1. Most of the participants($94.6\%$) needed rehabilitation day care center for stroke patients. $95.5\%$ of participants were willing to use the rehabilitation day care center. 2. Also the score of the needs for the center's health services was $2.84\pm60$ out of 4.00. In regards to the sub-contents. while the physical exercise therapy showed the highest mark($3.54\pm71$) in the needs. the following marks showed physical therapy($3.48\pm79$), training for the memory. thinking and judgment($3.30\pm93$). training for ADL($3.09\pm99$). health education program($3.04\pm93$). In the meantime. the expected effects from the use of the center are $2.89\pm61$ out of 4 and its sub-contents showed that the center would promote their physical and mental well-being($3.30\pm74$) and the center would be more effective than in home care($3.12\pm70$). 3. Meanwhile. the desired frequency of use in the future and distance had significant interrelation with their families living together(p<.05). In addition those who paid to use it differentiated significantly according to their ages and the types of insurance they had(p<.05). 4. The needs in degrees of speech disorder therapy and hobbies & amusements. the patients with other disease had significantly higher degrees than those patients without it (p<.05). Also in regard to the need degrees for physical therapy. healthy education programs and individual counseling including their families. the degrees of the patients with speech disorders were significantly lower than those of the patients without the disorder (p<.05). On the other hand. the patients with speech disorders were significantly higher than those patients without it in the need degree of the speech disorder therapy (p=.000). And the needs in degree concerning about speech disorder therapy. physical exercise therapy. training for ADL. medicinal substances therapy and family education were negatively correlated with the ADL (r=-.236$\sim$.305, (p<.005). 5. Finally. the expected effect of using the rehabilitation day care center showed significant differences statistically according to whether or not they had other disease (p<.05). In conclusion. the study showed the stroke patients were willing to use the center and had a high requirements for it and they especially had relatively high need degrees for the physical exercise therapy. physical therapy. training for memory. thinking and judgment. and healthy education program. And significant factors for the use of the center were their ages. types of insurance. family cohabitation. complications and speech disorders. ADL and so forth. Accordingly. the rehabilitation day care center needs to be established for the stroke patients and the center should develop rehabilitation care programs. which are individual and special programs customized for each patient's characteristics and health conditions.

장애 유아 통합보육을 위한 교사 지원이 어린이집 교사의 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Teacher Support Program for the Integration of Handicapped Children on Teaching Efficacy of Daycare Center Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 장애 유아 통합보육을 위한 교사 지원이 어린이집 교사의 교사 효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구에는 서울과 경기 지역 4개 어린이집 12명의 어린이집 교사가 실험 집단에 선정되었고, 5개 어린이집 12명의 교사가 통제 집단에 선정되었다. 교사 지원은 교사 교육과 현장 관찰 및 자문, 온라인 자문을 통해 실시되었다. 교사 교육은 집단 교육을 통해 발달 영역의 이해, 교육과정 수정, 활동중심삽입교수, 협동 학습, 직접 교수, 장애 이해 교육, 행동 지원, 가족 지원 등에 대한 교육을 실시하고, 개별 교육을 통해 각 교사들의 장애유아 통합보육의 요구를 반영한 장애유아 보육의 실제에 대한 교육을 실시하고 자문을 제공하였다. 실험집단 어린이집 당 10회씩 현장 관찰 및 자문을 실시하였고, 이메일과 핸드폰 자문을 통해 교사들의 수업을 지원 하였다. 교사의 교사 효능감 변화를 측정하기 위해 사전-사후 검사 통제 집단 설계를 적용하였으며, 장애 통합에 대한 일반 교사의 교사 효능감 척도(Teachers' Efficacy in Inclusive Practices: TEIP)로 사전-사후 검사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과의 분석을 위해 두 집단 간 교사 효능감의 사전-사후 검사 간 차에 대해 두 독립표본 t 검정을 실시하였고, 결과 두 집단 간 교사 효능감과 하위 영역인 통합교육 효능감, 협력 효능감, 행동관리 효능감의 사전 사후 변화에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 본 연구에서 장애 유아 통합보육 현장에서 즉각적인 피드백을 제공하고, 어린이집 교사들의 통합보육 전문성을 향상시키고, 교사들의 실제적 요구에 반응적이고, 장애 유아 통합의 다양한 변인을 반영하고, 참여자들 간의 대등한 협력적 관계를 강조한 교사 지원을 제공한 점이 연구 결과에 긍정적 영향을 주었다. 본 연구 결과는 장애 유아 통합보육 지원에 대한 연구가 부족한 현장의 실질적인 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

선천성심질환 청소년의 우울과 극복력의 관계분석 (Relationship between depression and resilience in adolescents with congenital heart disease)

  • 목 적 : 선천성심질환 청소년의 우울정도와 극복력의 상관관계를 파악하고 우울과 관련된 변수를 확인하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 선천성심질환으로 수술을 받고 2개 대학병원 및 심장전문병원에 등록되어 추적관찰 중인 만 13-18세 청소년 231명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 도구는 만성질환아를 대상으로 개발한 극복력 도구와 Beck의 우울척도를 8-18세에 맞게 변형시킨 Kovasc의 CDI를 사용하였다. 결 과 : 선천성심질환 청소년의 우울정도는 0-54점 가능 점수에서 평균 16.74점이었고, 극복력은 70-160점 가능 점수에서 115.84점이었다. 극복력에 따른 우울정도는 극복력과 우울은 유의한 역상관관계(r=-0.59, P<0.01)를 나타났다. 또한, 극복력의 하부 개념인 개인내적요인(r=-0.69, P<0.01), 대처양상(r=-0.39, P<0.05), 대인관계(r=-0.59, P<0.01)도 우울정도와 통계적으로 유의한 역상관관계를 보였다. 다중회귀분석 결과 선천성심질환 청소년의 우울과 관련된 유의한 변수는 부모의 양육태도(${\beta}=-0.48$, P<0.01) 및 극복력(${\beta}=-0.62$, P<0.01)으로 나타났다. 결 론 : 선천성심질환 청소년에서 청소년 자신의 극복력이 높을수록 부모가 긍정적인 양육태도를 가질수록 우울정도가 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 환자 자신의 극복력을 파악하고 증진할 수 시킬 수 있는 심층 연구와 선천성심질환 청소년과 같이 만성질환을 가진 자녀의 부모에게 양육태도의 중요성을 가질 수 있도록 돕는 중재개발이 필요하다.

단기노인보호소 이용자의 간호요구도 및 서비스 실태연구 (A Study on The Nursing Needs of Users and their Service Status at Short-Stay Centers for The Elderly)

  • Aging population is a global trend and Korea is no exception. Due to the progress of the medical and scientific sectors, increase in the average lifetime incurred increase in the number of elderly people. Meanwhile, the family function of supporting the elderly has become a major issue in a society due to the changes in the society's structure and increased entry of the women into the workforce. As a means to substitute the protection of the elderly who are not protected at their respective homes and to replace the tending needs, weekly protection centers and short-stay centers for the elderly were established and operated in Seoul since 1992. However, structured and satisfactory services are not yet to be provided, thus this research intends to understand the current situation at the short-stay centers for the elderly, to identify users' characteristics and to conduct study on nursing need for the health reasons so that the results of the research can be utilized as basic data for the development of nursing care program. Towards this end, this research targeted 142 elderly people who were undergoing treatment at the 11 short-stay centers for the elderly out of total of 13 located in Seoul that were willing to cooperate. The research was conducted from April to May 2002, with the measurement tool developed by Rhee, Seon-ja (2001) to measure the level of nursing need. Then data was collected and analyzed using SPSS program. The results are as follows. The general characteristics of users of the short-stay centers for the elderly were: 123 females $(86.6\%)$, 19 males $(13.4\%)$ and 72 elderly were over the age of 80 $(50.7\%)$. Among these, 24$(16.9\%)$ were living by themselves. Among the illnesses that the subjects were inflicted with were: dementia $(54.2\%)$, stroke $(54.1\%)$ and high blood pressure $(50.7\%)$, in the respective order. Despite the fact that they were diagnosed with illnesses, $47.2\%$ responded that they do not undergo special treatment due to financial reasons. When the level of needs for nursing care among the elderly who use the short-stay centers is divided into informational. physical. and emotional need levels and scored between zero to two, the level of emotional need is the highest with 1.80, followed by physical (1.45) and informational (1.44) need levels. As for the realities of services at the centers and improvement areas, restriction on term was cited as the greatest inconvenience with $38.7\%$, followed by lack of budget (24 respondents, $16.9\%$). Wishful services were financial assistance $(46.5\%)$, medical and nursing services $(40.1\%)$, meal provision service $(8.5\%)$ and counseling service $(4.9\%)$, in the respective order. Based on the above mentioned results, the research identified the need to develop nursing program for the patients of dementia that can be applied onto the short-stay centers and the need to develop volunteer service, backed by societal support. Also, placement of specialized cadre of professionals is needed so that medical and nursing service functions can be provided in a complementary manner.

흡연습관이 성인 남성의 건강관련체력 및 동맥경직도에 미치는 영향 (Responses of Health Physical Fitness and Arterial Stiffness through Cigarette Smoking)

  • 최근 몇 년간 흡연율이 감소했지만, 흡연은 여전히 전 세계적으로 조기사망과 건강상의 문제를 일으키는 주요 요인 중 하나이다. 장기간의 흡연은 대동맥의 경직도를 증가시키는데, 혈관이 경직되면 심장에서 발생한 전진 맥파와 말초에서 심장으로 돌아오는 반사파의 속도가 빨라져서 반사파가 중심동맥에 일찍 도착하여 중심동맥의 수축기 맥압이 증가하게 되고 수축기 혈압이 상승하게 된다. 본 연구는 남성 흡연자와 비흡연자를 대상으로 심폐기능을 포함한 건강관련체력과 동맥경직도를 반영하는 파형증대지수와 맥파전달속도의 차이를 검증하고, 흡연자의 운동전 흡연습관에 따른 심폐기능과 동맥경직도에 미치는 반응을 비교하기 위하여 시행되었다. 연구 대상은 심폐질환이 없는 만 20세 이상 29세 이하 남성으로, 만 5년 이상 흡연한 흡연자 12명과 흡연 경험이 없는 비흡연자 12명으로 총 24명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 젊은 성인들의 흡연습관은 동맥의 경직도를 예측할 수 있는 파형증가 지수와 맥파전달속도에는 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 운동 참여 전 흡연에 따른 혈역학 반응과 동맥경직도에서도 두 집단 간 유의한 차이를 나타내지는 않았다. 하지만 생존율의 예언지표인 최대 산소섭취량은 흡연자가 비흡연자에 비해 유의하게 낮게 나타났다. 이는 흡연습관이 혈관의 노화가 일어나지 않은 젊은 성인에게는 동맥 경직도의 변화를 일으킬 만큼 영향을 주지는 않지만 인체의 산소 운반능력을 감소시켜 심폐기능의 저하가 진행되고 있음을 의미하는 것으로 판단된다.

초등학생의 보건관리 만족도와 태도에 관한 연구 - 양호교사 유무를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Health Care Satisfaction and Attitude of Elementary School Students - by the presence or absence of nurse teacher -)

  • The purpose of this study was to serve as a basis for school health care of better quality, by making a comparative analysis of the health care satisfaction and attitude of elementary school students in consideration of their general characteristics and the presence or absence of nurse teacher. The subjects in this study were 919 selected six graders in 16 elementary schools in the city of Tongduchun, Koyang and Euijungbu, Yangju-kun and Yeunchun-kun. A survey was conducted with questionnaire designed for measurement of health care satisfaction and attitude. As a result of analyzing the data collected from June 1 through 15, 2000, the conclusions were as follows. 1) As for the general characteristics of the students investigated, the subjects included 513 boys(55.8%) and 406 girls(44.2%). The schools where 390(42.4%) students attended were located in municipal area, and the schools where 529(57.6%) students attended were located in kun area. 608(66.2%) students had a nurse teacher at their schools, while 311(33.8%) students had no nurse teacher. 498(54.2%) had an experience to use the health room this year, but 421(45.8%) had no such an experience. Their mean school life satisfaction was scored $3.42{\pm}.71$, above the average. And their health condition was rated $3.81{\pm}.87$, which implied they tended to be in good health. 2) The mean satisfaction at the health room operation was scored $3.33{\pm}.71$, above the medium level. What they were most satisfied with($4.02{\pm}1.08$) was, among the health room facilities, that there were beds. But they expressed the least satisfaction($2.83{\pm}1.17$) at the location of health room. The presence or absence of nurse teacher made a significant difference to their satisfactionat health room operation, because the students in schools with nurse teacher showed greater satisfaction($3.42{\pm}.72$) than the others in schools with no nurse teacher did($3.15{\pm}.66$). 3) Concerning their attitude to use the health room in case of disease or accident occurrence, a lot of students in schools with a nurse teacher, who had ever suffered from indigestion, headache or traumatic injury, used the health room. In schools with no nurse teacher, there was a tendency to talk to their class teachers(p<.001). The recognition of the necessity for health counseling was generally on a medium level. The counselor whom they wanted to discuss health problem with was family or friend in the largest cases. Few students discussed with class teachers in case there was a nurse teacher in school. Instead, some of them discussed with friend, family or nurse teacher, and there was a significant difference between them(p<.001). 4) The mean satisfaction at health, sanitation and environmental management was rated $3.20{\pm}.90$, above the average. The classroom lighting gave them the best satisfaction with $3.67{\pm}1.07$, but the satisfaction at toilet cleanness and disinfection was not good with $2.83{\pm}1.19$. By the presence or absence of nurse teacher, those who had a nurse teacher expressed better satisfaction at water supply facilities including hot water than the others who had no nurse teacher did(p<.001). But no significant difference was observed in the other items. 5) The health education satisfaction was rated $3.19{\pm}.99$, which was on a medium level. By item, the mean satisfaction level was $3.36{\pm}1.19$ at nurse teacher's explanation about treatment, $3.13{\pm}1.15$ at the frequency of health education, and $3.08{\pm}1.16$ at the explanation on the cause of disease. By the presence or absence of nurse teacher, the students with nurse teacher showed significantly better satisfaction at every factor0(p<.001). 6) Regarding health education attitude, their recognition of the need for school health education was scored $3.89{\pm}.96$. Those who had a nurse teacher felt it more necessary($3.96{\pm}.92$), yet the others who had no nurse teacher felt its necessity a little less($3.74{\pm}1.01$). The most preferred thing for them to learn in health education was first aid, followed by sex education, obesity prevention, safety accident prevention in school and outdoors, smoking-related health, good use of leisure time, and environmental pollution cause in the order named. According to the presence or absence of nurse teacher, there was a significant difference in sex education(p<.01), but no significant disparities were found in the other factors. The most preferred person who would offer health education was a lecturer from the outside(45.8%) and nurse teacher(45.4%). Their preference for class teacher as a person in charge of health education was just 8.8%. But the presence or absence of nurse teacher didn't produce any differences to their preference for a person in charge of health education.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between social education and secondary education of seaside and sea village schools for supporting the successors to fishery. Objects of the study were five groups; 321 fishermen, 107 staff members of a Fishery Guidance Center, 1, 001 students, 306 teachers of sea villages, 193 staff members of a Fishery Cooperative Association. The total number of people being object of this study was 1, 876 persons. The questionaire used for this study was made after preliminary counseling with fishermen in sea villages and teachers in seaside schools. The results of this study are as follow ; 1) About the value of Fishery and successors to Fishery There have been more positive responses than negative ones to the question on the value of fishery. The main reason for positive responses lies in the potentiality for development of fishery but the negative responses are because of the heavy work. 56.8% of the respondents expected an increasing number of successor to fishery, but 43.2% of the respondents had a negative foresight on that problem. The negative respondents stated that the fisherman that moved from the sea villages to the urban areas are responsible for the none increasing numbers of successors to fishery. Most of the respondents answered that government support is needed in order to increase the number of successors to fishery. 2) Social education for Fishermen Only 40% of fishermen know the Fishing Village Guidance Center as the main institute for social education. 94.17% of the respondents prefer plural institutes to single ones. 5.9% of the respondents answered with opposit opinions. 40.4% of the respondents answered that technical teachings has not often been practised. The reason why technical teaching does not often come into effect are as follows; lack of technical expertise, insufficient concern of staff members of the Guidance Center or the Cooperation Association. Also fishermen answered that the Fisherman Guidance Center does not often practise technical education. The Fishery Cooperation Association with its social education for fisherman takes the role of education for the economical way and carries out financial assistance. The relationship between the Fishery Cooperative Association and fishermen is presented satisfactory. However, the frequency of education is not satisfactory. Indifferences between staff members of the Fishery Cooperative Association does not carry out fishery education very often. Also loaned money matters were not satisfactory. 3) Secondary education for Fishery This study showed that it is desirable that the practical course of middle schools in islets and seaside villages take education on fishery ; however, a few schools only take the practical course fishery. Most of the fishery high schools want computer education as a new recommendable course. The students of fishery high schools want computer education as a new recommendable course. The students of fishery high schools have problems with scientific terms in the text books for the practical of fishery high schools have problems with scientific terms in the text books for the practical courses. Over 80% of the respondents agreed that the principals of schools in islets and sea side villages should be men having majored in fishery. 4) The connection between social education and secondary education for fishery a. It is desirable that the principal and vice principal of secondary schools in islets and sea side villages are men majored in fishery. b. It is recommendable that fishery courses are taken as practical courses in fishery village schools for it is helpful to relate between the vocation and the district's special character, as well as to built up relation between the middle school education and the fishery high school education. c. The teachers of fishery high schools and the officials of government offices which are related to fishery should work together to realize a program on teaching various kinds of techniques and give other useful informations to fishermen. d. During the vacations the fishery high school could be used for the social education of fishermen. Seminars on fishery technique and cultural aspects could be held. Especially a spiritual education which is needed for the improvement of the society of fishermen could be achieved by a cultural education. e. On the state level a financial support to raise the number of successors to fishery, a national policy for the betterment of the life of fishermen, as well as active publicity activities are necessary. f. A financial support of the government for raising the number of the successors to fishery is needed. For this purpose a fishery education performed on a state level would be desirable.
