Recently the World Bank released its World Development Report 2009 (hereafter WDR 2009) with the title 'Reshaping Economic Geography.' In the report, the Korean experience in regional development policy was highly praised. Also, the current government has been trying to reshape the regional development policy in view of 5+2 Economic Regions. The main theme of this paper is how to establish the highly valueadding economic system and how to deal with scale economies for regional development. In this paper these tasks in Korea's regional policy were discussed with reference to the WDR 2009. Enhancing the density of the central city of each Economic Region, reducing the economic distance between cities and rural areas, and getting rid of the barriers to cooperation between provinces are the keys for the efficiency and the effectiveness of the regional policy. In addition, strengthening the national solidarity through collaborative development of 5+2 Economic Regions still remains as one of the major tasks of the Korean government.
Nowadays Industrial Design appears to us as provided products in the market through only User Interface and Technical Improvement. Consumer purchasing products intend to grant the meaning for the product by mobilizing his specific feeling and experience the moment he contact products the first time. As metaphorical character shown in the product is named to the Product Language, Industrial designer shall constantly proceed the study on the exact understanding or processing method. As Objects or products using by us imply aesthetical value, it appears to be different according to the diverse condition of products be different according to the diverse condition of products to be used. In case objectivity is unsatisfactory, aesthetic character shown in the product requires new instrumental system. Product analysis applied aesthetical measure of BIRKHOFF can be applied as tool for inherent metaphorical character of product and product development. With this, Design operation shall be much easier. So Application of aesthetical measure is not only a system but a tool giving help to carry out more smooth design process.
Background: Labeled noise reduction (NR) data presented by manufacturers are considered one of the main challenging issues for occupational experts in employing hearing protection devices (HPDs). This study aimed to determine the actual NR data of typical HPDs using the objective fit testing method with a microphone in real ear (MIRE) method. Methods: Five available commercially earmuff protectors were investigated in 30 workers exposed to reference noise source according to the standard method, ISO 11904-1. Personal attenuation rating (PAR) of the earmuffs was measured based on the MIRE method using a noise dosimeter (SVANTEK, model SV102). Results: The results showed that means of PAR of the earmuffs are from 49% to 86% of the nominal NR rating. The PAR values of earmuffs when a typical eyewear was worn differed statistically (p < 0.05). It is revealed that a typical safety eyewear can reduce the mean of the PAR value by approximately 2.5 dB. The results also showed that measurements based on the MIRE method resulted in low variability. The variability in NR values between individuals, within individuals, and within earmuffs was not the statistically significant (p > 0.05). Conclusion: This study could provide local individual fit data. Ergonomic aspects of the earmuffs and different levels of users experience and awareness can be considered the main factors affecting individual fitting compared with the laboratory condition for acquiring the labeled NR data. Based on the obtained fit testing results, the field application of MIRE can be employed for complementary studies in real workstations while workers perform their regular work duties.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the information science education provided by the undergraduate courses of the departments of library science of the Korean universities by looking at major topics included in the syllabi distributed to students in the past three years. It is important to determine the evaluation of the professional education for information specialists by the graduates of the departments of library science who have acquired a critical appreciation of their professional studies and speak from experience about the relavance of the programme to their work and careers, and by the managers of information service units where the graduates would eventually make their careers. Specifically, the study addresses the following four questions. (a) To what excent do the information science curricula contribute to advancement of theory and practice of the information profession? (b) To what extent do the information science curricula contribute to students in acquiring the knowledge and skills required of the information specialist? (c) To what extent are the employers' concerns reflected in the information science curricula? (d) What reforms are needed to bring the current information science curricula closer to the present and future needs of the information profession? To answer these questions, the study is conducted in two main parts: an in-depth subject analysis of the articles of three important journals in the field of information science published during the past ten years and of the syllabi used for information science subjects taught in the departments of library science during the past three years and an extensive survey of the graduates of departments of library science and their principal employers. The major findings are as follows. The average number of 4.1 subjects of information science is offered in departments of library science, and the most common subjects offered are introduction to information science, information storage and retrieval, and library automation. Approximately two thirds of the total output of research and development in the field of information science are taught at one or more departments of library science in Korea. Majority of the graduates of the departments of library science comment that their professional education did not offer to them systematic orientation to the specifics of the first job. The employers of the graduates believe that departments of library science should provide sufficient practicums to enable students to understand and apply the theory.
National agencies and corporations are making a lot of efforts to educate mechanics from high school to university and enterprise training center to train as skilled mechanic. but the theoretical training using textbooks and the training using equipment not used in the field did not provide proper maintenance training. And education using special equipment or assuming dangerous situation was very dangerous, so we were carrying out education with video or photo. In recent, there have been a number of cases in which effective training simulations have been researched and developed in order to experience situations and solve problems safely through simulation from simple maintenance to special maintenance by combining VR and AR. This paper describes the comparative study of the existing APIs such as Danuri VR, DisTi Engine and Remote AR for general purpose AR/VR contents. We also proposed a AR/VR API based on Unity 3D Engine for AR/VR maintenance contents. The API can be used for maintenance contents developers efficiently.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the general health status and oral health status based on periodical dental preventive experience, and to find methods for regular dental prophylaxis, using the data obtained from the $7^{th}$ National Health and Nutrition Survey. Methods: This study was performed using data collected from the $7^{th}$ National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). A total of 9,015 participants were selected for the study. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0, with data obtained from a complex sampling design, and a significance level of 0.05 was set. General characteristics of the participants, oral health status, and recent preventive dental treatment were examined for a complex sampling frequency analysis, and the differences in distribution were analyzed using chi-square test. Results: The group that recently under went dental prophylaxis, when compared to the group that had not under gone dental prophylaxis recently, reported several 'no obstacles' for all items of the EQ-5D (p<0.05). Moreover, the group that recently underwent dental prophylaxis used all the oral care products (p<0.05). Conclusions: It is necessary to actively expand institutional supervision so that regular dental preventive measures can be undertaken to promote oral health that affects general health.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to present the scientific and quantitative data by finding the common points and differences of the side-kick according to the height change through the difference of the side kick motion performance according to the three target height changes and the function of the lower limbs muscle in side kick motion of Taekwondo Poomsae. Method: For this, total 14 players were selected who were registered in Korea Taekwondo Association and skilled group 7 players who had a medal from national competition and 7 players who did not have Taekwondo experience from department of physics. 4 video cameras to the feature on side kick per target height, and the subjects' support foot was located on the ground reactor and the practice was conducted 3 times: waist, chest, and head as the target height. the basic materials were collected by using Kwon 3D XP program and the T-test was conducted to verify the statistic difference between groups (SPSS 24.0). At this time, the statistics significance level was set as .05 and the following conclusion was obtained. Results: The lower the proficiency and the higher the height, the more the joint coordination between the hip and the knee. Conclusion: Summary of the result shows a common point that the change of target's height makes the lower the proficiency and the higher the height, the more the joint coordination between the hip and the knee. Also, the higher the target's height became, the greater angular momentum of thighs, shanks, foot became in common.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the relationships between health literacy competencies and patient-centered care among clinical nurses. Methods: The participants of this study were 254 nurses working in two hospitals in the D region. The data were collected from July to August 2020. The health literacy competencies for registered nurses scale and individualized care scale were utilized. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. Results: The mean of health literacy competencies was 3.16±0.31 points on a four-point scale, and the average of patient-centered care was 3.69±0.50 points on a five-point scale. Regarding the nurses' general characteristics, patient-centered care showed significant differences according to age (F=4.68, p=.010), marital status (t=-2.38, p=.018), religion (F=3.03, p=.030), total clinical experience (F=2.94, p=.021) and prior health literacy knowledge (t=3.20, p=.002). As a result of a hierarchical multiple regression analysis, health literacy competencies (β=.63) were found to significantly influence patient-centered care. The explanatory power of the model was 41.0% (F=25.58, p<.001). Conclusion: The study suggests that nurse's health literacy competencies should be developed in order to improve patient-centered care. Nursing education should include an emphasis on integrating health literacy into the nursing school curriculum.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop a mobile app-based musculoskeletal exercise program (AMSEP) for operating room (OR) nurses and evaluate its effects on self-efficacy, the flexibility of the shoulders, lower back, and legs, and musculoskeletal symptoms and fatigue. Methods: The AMSEP was developed based on the information-motivation-behavioral skill model. In total, 48 OR nurses were recruited at a university hospital in Korea and divided into an experimental group (n=24) and a control group (n=24), matched for career experience in the OR. The experimental group participated in the AMSEP, while the control group received a booklet regarding musculoskeletal exercise. Results: The experimental group showed significant increases in self-efficacy (t = -2.77, p = .008) and flexibility of the right shoulder (t = -4.08, p < .001), left shoulder (t = -3.28, p = .002), lower back (t = -3.75, p < .001), and legs (t = -3.96, p < .001) compared to the control group. Musculoskeletal symptoms (t = 2.75, p = .008), and fatigue (Z = -1.98, p = .048) significantly decreased in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: Our findings indicate that the AMSEP for OR nurses provided information on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and methods of exercise, as well as an opportunity for continued exercise performance through self-management. The AMSEP was easily accessible and effective in increasing self-efficacy and flexibility and reducing musculoskeletal symptoms and fatigue.

Although on-device artificial intelligence (AI) has gained attention to diagnosing machine faults in real time, most previous studies did not consider the model retraining and redeployment processes that must be performed in real-world industrial environments. Our study addresses this challenge by proposing an on-device AI-based real-time machine fault diagnosis system that utilizes continual learning. Our proposed system includes a lightweight convolutional neural network (CNN) model, a continual learning algorithm, and a real-time monitoring service. First, we developed a lightweight 1D CNN model to reduce the cost of model deployment and enable real-time inference on the target edge device with limited computing resources. We then compared the performance of five continual learning algorithms with three public bearing fault datasets and selected the most effective algorithm for our system. Finally, we implemented a real-time monitoring service using an open-source data visualization framework. In the performance comparison results between continual learning algorithms, we found that the replay-based algorithms outperformed the regularization-based algorithms, and the experience replay (ER) algorithm had the best diagnostic accuracy. We further tuned the number and length of data samples used for a memory buffer of the ER algorithm to maximize its performance. We confirmed that the performance of the ER algorithm becomes higher when a longer data length is used. Consequently, the proposed system showed an accuracy of 98.7%, while only 16.5% of the previous data was stored in memory buffer. Our lightweight CNN model was also able to diagnose a fault type of one data sample within 3.76 ms on the Raspberry Pi 4B device.
