  • This paper shows the design and fabrication of antenna embedded in marine buoy for marine IoT service, especially automatic identification system of fishing gears. Frequency band of proposed antenna has dual band of 433 MHz and 920 MHz considering marine IoT extension. Dual pattern monopole type for 920 MHz and meander type for 433 MHz are adopted in the proposed antenna. Voltage standing wave ratio is obtained 1.548 at 433 MHz and obtained 1.5 of mean value at 920 MHz band by measuring the fabricated antenna. The maximum antenna gain of 3.83 dBi is measured at 902 MHz among 920 MHz band, while antenna gain of 433 MHz is obtained 1.18 dBi. Although antenna gain of 433 MHz is low than 920 MHz band, this gain is larger than desired value of -5 dBi. And, it is confirmed that other measured values meet the performance criteria for archiving communication distance of 10 km between marine buoy and fishing ship in automatic identification system of fishing gears.

  • Currently, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are used as frequencies for drone operation. In December 2019, the Ministry of Science and ICT newly allocated the 433 MHz band for the invisible long-distance operation of drones. However, since the 433 MHz band is the same as the previously allocated frequency band for amateur radio communication, interference cannot be avoided. Therefore, as a prerequisite for the development of a drone operation system based on the 433 MHz band, interference avoidance technology for this frequency band must be developed and applied. In this paper, we report the results of measurement and analysis of 433 MHz band signals necessary for the development of interference avoidance and reduction technologies for 433 MHz signals. The measurement and analysis of the 433 MHz band signal are performed through the spectrum measured at 5-minute intervals at three locations. Since the measurements and analyzes performed in this study considered spatial characteristics, temporal characteristics, and traffic characteristics, it is considered to be the basic data necessary for the development of interference avoidance technology in the 433 MHz band.

  • In this paper, the antenna of a small active RFID for 433MHz is proposed, and the proposed antenna is a kind of built-in antenna, which uses IFA structure. The performance was improved by the change of the spacing between the feed point and short strip, inserting the meander line structure in a radiator, and varying the gap between the radiator and the ground plane in the proposed antenna. To confirm the characteristics of the antenna parameters, HFSS from ANSYS Inc. was used for the analysis. The frequency band of 433MHz Active RFID is from 433.67 to 434.17 MHz. There is a value of return loss less than -9.54 dB in 433MHz band of the active RFID, and the maximum antenna gain is -4.28dBi. The Jig size of the proposed antenna is $72{\times}44{\times}1mm$, and the size of the antenna area is $35.5{\times}19.5mm$. The result proved the possibility of the practical use on miniaturized 433MHz antenna using IFA structure that came from comparing and analyzing the measured and simulated data of the antenna.

  • In this paper, 433/865MHz dual band antenna is proposed by using IFA structure of a PCB antenna, the performance was improved by changing of the space between the feed point and short strip, varying the gap between the radiator and the ground plane and adding the branch line in the proposed antenna. To confirm the characteristics of the antenna parameters, HFSS from ANSYS Inc. was used for the analysis. RFID frequency band of ISO-18000-7 is 433MHz and EU-RFID frequency band of ISO-18000-6 is from 865.5 to 867.5MHz. Each of the 433/865MHz bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 5.2MHz and 18.2MHz. The maximum 433MHz antenna gain is -5.74dBi, the maximum 865MHz antenna gain is -3.36dBi. The Jig size of the proposed antenna is $60{\times}44{\times}1mm$ and the size of the antenna area $44{\times}21mm$. The results proved the possibility of the practical use on 433/865MHz by using the IFA structure that came from comparing and analyzing the measured and simulated data of the antenna.

  • In this paper, we present RFID Tag Antenna at 433MHz which can be available for RFID system. The antenna is composed of microstrip type antenna, whose dimension could be reduced by applying fractal theory. Simulated return loss and gain at 433MHz are -20.9dB, -3dBi. But there are some deviation on the point of resonance frequency between simulated and measured results. By modifying the antenna's feeding point, we obtain - l5dB return loss and verify the utility of proposed antenna.

  • Small communication devices used in the Internet of Things are vulnerable to various hacking because they do not apply advanced encryption techniques due to their low memory capacity or slow computation speed. In order to increase the authentication reliability of small-sized transmitters operating in 433MHz band, we introduce an RF fingerprint and adopt a convolutional neural network (CNN) as a classification algorithm. The preamble signal transmitted by each transmitter are extracted and collected using software-defined-radio to constitute a training data set, which is used for training the CNN. We tested identification of 20 transmitters in four different scenarios and obtained high identification accuracy. In particular, the accuracy of 95.8% and 92.6% was obtained, respectively in the scenario where the test was performed at a location different from the transmitter's location at the time of collecting training data, and in the scenario where the transmitter moves at walking speed.

  • The paper describes a meander antenna using magneto-dielectric composite for 433.92 MHz band. The antenna with magneto-dielectric material in this paper is suggested for miniaturization of antenna size. The return loss of meander antenna is achieved by optimizing the permittivity, $\varepsilon_r$=1.71-j0.004 and permeability, $\mu_r$=2.39+j2.58. Over all dimension of the antenna is $51\times11\times1.6mm$. The return loss and gain are -41 dB, -5dBi, respectively at 433.92 MHz.
