  • This study investigated characteristics and types of ideal maternal behaviors in three different cultures : Korea, the United States, and France. The 18 experts from each of the 3 cultures who participated in this study had knowledge and experience related to infant development and parenting. Based on the principles of Q-methodology, the experts sorted 40 Q-items representing maternal behavior related to infancy. After rating each item on a scale from "least desirable" to "most desirable" maternal behaviors, the experts described their reasons for the classification. Results identified some clear similarities and differences among cultures. pooled responses yielded 3 types of ideal maternal behaviors: perfective, child centered, and realistic perspective.

  • This study aims to analyze the model of 'autonomous regional development', which was initiated in 1980s in Austria, then introduced into Germany and Switzerland. The basic ideas of autonomous regional development are constructed of the peculiarity, the autonomy, the integrity, and the project promotion. The subjects of the development-four poles of the model 'autonomous regional development' -are designed of the land residents, the regional advisers, the regional associations and the state. The concret measures to realize the autonomous regional development are the realization of independent regional economic structures, the autonomy of political decision-makings, and the development of peculiar rural cultures. The autonomous regional development is a new development model, which is founded on the right basic principles. In this model the initiative of the residents is emphasized, and the real autonomy of regional development is required. The principle of autonomy leads to the development of peculiar rural cultures, which keep the peculiarity of the region. The development of rural culture contributes in turn to restoring the identity of residents, which may become a driving force of the rural development.

  • A systematic synthesis process is described lot the simulation of current-controllable inductors using operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs). The process is used to obtain three circuits; two are believed It) be novel. The process is also applied to design current-controllable frequency-dependent negative resistances (FDNRs). Operation principles of designed circuits are presented and experimental results are used to verify theoretical predictions. The results show close agreement between predicted behavior and experimental performance. The application of a FDNR to a current-controllable band-pass filter is also presented.

  • In this paper, charging modes of series resonant converter for a high voltage energy storage capacitor are compared in terms of charging time, peak resonant current, normalized peak resonant current and voltage in each operation mode. Operating principles of the full bridge series resonant converter with capacitor load are explained and analyzed in discontinuous and continuous operation mode. Based on the analysis and simulation result, $0.6{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $0.75{\omega}_r$ and $1.3{\omega}_r$ < ${\omega}_s$ < $1.4{\omega}_r$ are evaluated to the best range of switching frequency for charging of an high voltage energy storage capacitor. 1.8 kJ/s SRC prototype is assembled with TI 28335 DSP controller and 40 kJ, 7 kV energy storage capacitor. Design rules based on the comparative analysis are verified by experiment.

  • High performance laser printer requires high speed scanning motor, which can operate up to 40,000 rpm. However, development of high speed scanning motor has been restricted due to the practical problems such as use of high speed bearing, compact circuit design and high cost. In this study, we designed a high speed scanner motor for use on laser scanning unit and discussed some design principles including the reduction method of cogging torque of the motor, development of hemispherical aerodynamic bearing, windage loss estimation, and operating circuit design to reduce noise.

  • This experiment has investigated the influence of Yamen (Du. 15) point injection on learning and memory dysfunction caused by cerebral ischemia and reprofusion in bilateral cervical general artery combined with bleeding on mouse tail to mimic vascular dementia in human beings. By dividing 40 mice into 4 groups (group1false operation group, group2model group, group3point injection with Cerebrolysin group4point injection with saline.) According to random dividing principles, we observed the influence of Yamen(Du. 15) point injection on the time of swimming the whole course used by model mice which had received treatment for different days in different groups, and the influence of those mice on wrong times they entered blind end. The result showed that point injection with Cerebrolysin and saline could improve learning and memory dysfunction of the mice caused by cerebral ischemia.

  • This paper investigates several existing techniques to reduce high-availability seamless redundancy (HSR) traffic. HSR is a redundancy protocol for Ethernet networks that provides duplicated frames for separate physical paths with zero recovery time. This feature makes it very useful for real-time and mission-critical applications, such as military applications and substation automation systems. However, the major drawback of HSR is that it generates too much unnecessary redundant traffic in HSR networks. This drawback degrades network performance and may cause congestion and delay. Several HSR traffic reduction techniques have been proposed to reduce the redundant traffic in HSR networks, resulting in the improvement of network performance. In this paper, we provide an overview of these HSR traffic reduction techniques in the literature. The operational principles, advantages, and disadvantages of these techniques are investigated and summarized. We also provide a traffic performance comparison of these HSR traffic reduction techniques.

  • There are many papers about the 7th curriculum. According to those papers, the 7th curriculum is a new one which makes considerable change in mathematics education. But there are some problems in the 7th curriculum. In this paper, we discuss those problems at first. That is, the 30% reduction of mathematics contents may not be true, and there are some problems about the terms, symbols, and consistency in mathematics contents. We also consider some problems in mathematics textbooks itself and the mathematics textbook authorization under the 7th curriculum. We suggest that (1) there must be valid process in passage of mathematics contents, (2) we must give emphasis on the process - particularly, the teaching of basic concept or principles - rather than the result, (3) we must have guarantee of the equity in the mathematics textbook authorization.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the indoor temperature and humidity changes with the operation of a condense drying humidifier. This paper illustrates the principles and composition of a condense drying dehumidifier, which is broadly used in Korean households. Experiments were conducted repeatedly on rainy days in a test chamber. The results showed that the indoor RH was lowered to 40% within 2 hours while the indoor temperature was increased by approximately $4.3^{\circ}C$ with the operation of the humidifier.

  • In this paper, the principles of cascade realization of 3-3CLC(3input-3out put Conservative Logic Circuit)using magnetic bubble are exlpored and the problem of realizing arbitary 3-3lofic circuit with minimal number of logic elements is handled. The five primitives classes 5, 15, 21, 24 and 29 are selected to realize all of the 3 equivatlent class by cascading only two of them. The crossoreres of lines are permitted in this realization and the upper bound of crossorers is three. The composition results are computed in MV 4000 minicomputer.
