Protrusion Jaw가 적용된 볼 당김시험을 이용한 솔더 접합부의 강도와 파괴 메커니즘 분석에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of Pull Strengths and Fracture Modes of Solder Joino by Modified Ball Pull Testing with Protrusion Jaw)

  • There have been numerous approaches to examine the bonding strengths of solder joints. However, despite the technical and practical limitations, the precedent test methods such as the ball shear and ball pull tests are being used in industrial applications. In this study, the optimum jaw pressure with the modified protrusion jaw was introduced in order to obtain higher successful rate f3r ball pull testing. Furthermore, the pull strengths and fracture modes of Sn-8Zn-3Bi, Sn-4Ag-0.7Cu, and Sn-37Pb eutectic solder after isothermal aging tests ($100^{\circ}C,\;150^{\circ}C$), were evaluated with the protrusion jaw. The pull strength-displacement hysteresis curves and fracture surfaces were carefully investigated to evaluate the correlation between the pull strengths and the fracture modes of each solder. In conclusion, it is verified that Au-Zn IMCs (Intermetallic Compounds) have a detrimental effect on the pull strengths and changed fracture modes of Sn-8Zn-3Bi solder. Meanwhile, the microstructure transformation influences the degradation of pull strengths of Sn-4Ag-0.7Cu and Sn-37Pb solders.

Dithiophosphate Group을 함유한 디올유도체의 합성 및 내마모성-말단 알킬기 및 몸체 알킬기의 탄소사슬에 따른 영향 (Synthese and Anti-wear Properties of Diol Derivatives Containing Dithiophosphate Group-effect on Main Alkyl Chain and Side Alkyl Chain)

  • 알칸디올로부터 유래된 주사슬의 탄소수가 6, 9, 11인 bis[3-(dialkyloxylphosphorothionyl)thio-2-methylpropanyloxy]alkane (BAPA)를 합성하였으며, 이를 zinc dialkyl dithiophosphates (ZDDP)와 비교하여 마모억제성능을 살펴보았다. 탄소 주사슬의 길이에 따른 BAPA의 내마모성능을 확인하기 위하여 4-ball 시험을 하였다. 기유무게의 1% 농도로 첨가제를 넣고 WSD (wear scar diameter)를 측정하였고, 각 0.472, 0.459, 0.480 mm로 나타났다. 또한 BAPA 화합물 중 bis[methacryloyloxy]nonane (BMOO9)의 곁사슬인 dialkyl dithiophosphoric acid (DDP)의 탄소수를 4, 8, 12로 변화시켜 합성하여, 4-ball 시험을 하였다. 그 결과로 WSD의 값은 각각 0.537, 0.459, 0.531 mm로 측정되었다. 곁사슬이 짧으면 필름이 얇게 형성되고, 길면 필름형성을 방해하여 탄소수가 8개일 때의 값이 제일 좋게 나타났다. ZDDP의 경우 동일한 조건에서 WSD의 값이 0.563 mm로 측정되었고, 합성한 BAPA의 화합물이 마모억제용 첨가제로 더 우수한 성능을 갖는다는 것을 확인하였다.

기유 내에서 수열합성법에 의한 나노크기의 구리/아연 입자 합성 및 윤활 특성 (Synthesis of Nanosized Cu/Zn Particles in the Base Oil Phase by Hydrothermal Method and Their Abrasion Resistance)

  • Stable metallic Cu/Zn nanoparticles were prepared in the base oil phase by hydrothermal method. The physical properties, such as crystal structure, crystallite size and crystallinity according to synthesis conditions have been investigated by XRD, FT-IR and TEM. In addition, 4-ball test has been performed in order to investigate the frictional wear properties of prepared nanosized Cu/Zn particles. The peaks of the X-ray diffraction pattern indicate that the particle size was very small and crystallinity of Cu/Zn particles was good. The micrographs of TEM showed that nanosized Cu/Zn particles possessed a spherical morphology with a narrow size distribution. The crystallite size of the Cu/Zn particles synthesized in base oils was 23-30 nm. It was found that the antiwear capacity increases with increasing Cu/Zn concentration. When the concentration of Cu/Zn was 5.0 wt%, the wear scar diameters was 0.38 mm.

숙신산 알킬 에스테르 유도체의 합성 및 윤활특성 (Synthesis and Lubricating Properties of Succinic Acid Alkyl Ester Derivatives)

  • 폴리올 에스테르 등의 에스테르 윤활제는 생분해성 및 윤활성능이 우수하여 금속가공유 및 유압작동유등의 윤활기유로 많이 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 윤활성 향상제로 사용하기 위하여 알킬 무수 숙신산과 여러 가지 지방 알콜과의 축합반응을 행하여 알킬 숙시네이트 유도체를 합성하였다. 합성된 알킬 숙시네이트 유도체의 구조는 $^1H-NMR$ 및 FT-IR 스펙트럼으로 분석하였으며 GC 크로마토그램을 통하여 화합물의 순도를 확인하였다. 또한, 합성 유도체의 기본물성으로 점도특성, 굴절률, 전산가, 유동점 등을 측정하였으며 응용물성으로 윤활특성을 SRV 시험기와 4-ball 마모 시험기로 마찰계수(COF) 및 마모흔 직경(SRV WSD 및 4-ball WSD)을 측정하여 평가하였다. 기본물성 평가결과, 점도 특성, 굴절률 및 유동점은 알킬 숙시네이트 유도체에 함유된 알킬기의 탄소수가 증가할수록 높아졌으며 전산가는 0.2~4 mgKOH/g를 나타내어 금속가공유 및 유압작동유의 윤활제로 사용가능함을 알 수 있었다. 윤활성능 평가 결과, SRV WSD 0.391~0.689 mm, SRV COF 값은 0.110~0.138, 4-ball WSD 값은 0.49~0.55 mm를 나타내어 에스테르의 구조에 따라 차이를 나타내었다. 특히, SRV 시험에서 비교물질로 사용된 폴리올 에스테르인 TMPTO와 윤활성능을 비교하였을 때 SRV WSD 결과, 알킬기에 따라 다른 차이를 나타냈지만 비교물질에 비해 비교적 우수한 값으로, SRV COF 결과, 알킬기에 대한 영향을 받지 않고 비교물질에 비해 약간 떨어지는 값을 나타내었다.

시효처리와 thermal cycling이 치관전장용 복합레진의 2축굽힘강도에 미치는 영향 (EFFECTS OF AGING AND THERMAL CYCLING ON THE BIAXIAL FLEXURE STRENGTH OF VENEERING RESIN COMPOSITES FOR CROWN)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of aging and thermal cycling on the biaxial flexure strength of low commercially available veneering resin composites for crown(Dentacolor : DC, Artglass : AG, Esternia : ET and Targis : TG). Disc specimens were fabricated in a teflon mold giving 12mm in diameter and 1mm in thickness. All samples were divided into 4 groups. Group 1 was dried in a dessicator at $25^{\circ}C$ for 30 days. Group 2 was immersed in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 30 days. Group 3 was immersed in distilled water at $65^{\circ}C$ for 30 days. Group 4 was subjected to 10,000 thermal cycles between $5^{\circ}C\;and\;55^{\circ}C$, and the immersion time in each bath was 15 seconds per cycle. Biaxial flexure test was conducted using the ball-on-three-ball method at the cross head speed of 0.5mm/min and fracture surfaces were observed with scanning electoron microscope. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Weibull modulus values, except for the AG group, decreased after thermal cycling treatment. 2. Biaxial flexure strength values of aging group at $37^{\circ}C$ were the lowest in all sample groups. Except for the DC group, strength values were significantly decreased for the drying group. 3. After thermal cycling test, the highest value of biaxial flexure strength of 188.8 MPa was observed in the ET group and the lowest value of 73.2 MPa was observed in the DC group. The strength values showed the significant differences in each group (p<0.05). 4. Observation of surfaces after thermal cycling test revealed the ditching in the part of surrounding large fillers.

짐볼을 이용한 요부안정화 운동이 만성요통 여성노인의 정신사회적 건강수준에 미치는 영향 (Effect of lumbar stabilizing exercise using the gym ball on psychosocial status in elderly women with chronic low back pain)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect on psychosocial status in elderly women with chronic low back pain after practicing lumbar stabilizing exercise using the gym ball, and to developed and activated on exercise program for healthy senile life. Methods : The subjects were 23 elderly women with chronic low back pain. Mean age of subjects was $67{\pm}13$ years. The lumbar stabilizing exercise using the gym ball was performed 3 times a week during the 8 weeks study period. The research tool were ODI(Oswestry Disability Index), VAS(Visual Analogue Scale), SES(Self-esteem Scale), GDSSF-K(Geriatric Depression Scale Short Form Korea Version), PSS (perceived stress scale), Life satisfaction, and MMSE-K. The analysis of data was processed by the statistical program SPSS 12.0 and paired t-test and frequency analysis were used to compare psychosocial status between the pretest and post tests. Result : The lumbar stabilizing exercise using the gym ball increased significantly SES and Life satisfaction of subjects, and ODI, VAS(trunk flexion & trunk extention), GDSSF-K, and PSS were decreased significantly(p<.05). While VAS(trunk rotation) were not significantly. Conclusion : The lumbar stabilizing exercise using the gym ball improved psychosocial status in elderly women with chronic low back pain.

볼을 이용한 스쿼트와 내로우 스쿼트가 안굽이 무릎을 가진 성인의 근 두께, Q각 및 무릎 사이 간격에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Ball-Based Squats and Narrow Squats on Muscle Thickness, Q Angle and Gap between the Knees in Adults with Genu Varum)

  • Purpose : Genu varum is a condition characterized by a wider than normal gap between. This may be due to muscle weakness caused by poor posture, lifestyle, or lack of exercise. This study aimed to compare the effects of ball-based squats and narrow squats on muscle thickness, Q-angle, and the gap between the knees, in order to assess the potential for improving this condition. Methods : Twenty six adult participants with genu varum were randomly assigned to either a ball-based squat group (n=13) or a narrow squats group (n=13). Both groups performed their respective exercises three times weekly for 4 weeks. The data was analyzed using paired t-tests to compare pre- and post- intervention measurements within each group, and independent t-test was used to compare the two groups. Results : Both groups showed significant improvement in the thickness of the vastus lateralis and medialis, and rectus femoris muscles, as well as a significant decrease in the gap between the knees (p<.05). However, there was no significant difference in Q-angle variation between the two group. Furthermore, there was no significant differences in the Q-angle, gap between the knees, and muscle thickness variation between both groups. Conclusion : The results suggest that both ball-based squats and narrow squats are effective in improving muscle thickness and reducing the gap between the knees in adults with genu varum. However, there was no significant difference between the two types of squats in terms of their effects on the Q-angle. These findings highlight the potential for exercise interventions to address this common postural issue.

  • Wear performances for dibutyl 3,5-di-t-butyl 4-hydroxy benzyl phosphonate (DBP) were invesitigated using the four ball test machine under sliding and also rolling contact conditions, and compared with ZDDP. DBP showed excellent antiwear performace compared with ZDDP under severe sliding contact. Also, DBP achieved a longer fatigue life than ZDDP under rolling contact conditions. The surface of the worn balls was observed using an optical microscope, and the wear derbis generated was measured using the Particle Quantifier (PQ).

풍쇄슬래그 잔골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 공학적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Engineering Properties of Concrete using Fine Aggregate of PS ball Slag)

  • In this study, the experiment was carried out to investigate and analyze the engineering properties of concrete using fine aggregate of PS bal slagl. The main experimental variables were water/cement ratio 30, 40, 50(%), water content $170kg/m^3$, replacement ratio of slag fine aggregate 0, 25, 50, 75(%) in experiment I and water/cement ratio 30, 40, 50(%), water content 165, 170, 175($kg/m^3$), replacement ratio of fine aggregate of PS ball 0, 50 in experiment II. According to the test results, the principle conclusions are summarized as follows (1) The workability of slag fine aggregate-mixed concrete tends to improve, as the replacement rate increases. (2) The air content of slag fine aggregate-mixed concrete tends to decrease, as the replacement rate increases. (3) The unit volume weight of slag fine aggregate-mixed concrete tends to significantly increase, as the replacement rate increases. (4) The compressive strength of slag fine aggregate-mixed concrete tends to show more increasing propensity, in case the curing period is relatively long, as the replacement rate increases.

$Cr_2O_3$ 플라스마 용사 코팅된 유리의 입자충격에 의한 손상기구 (Damage Mechanism of Particle Impact in a $Cr_2O_3$ Plasma Coated Soda-lime Glass)

  • The damage mechanism of $Cr_2O_3$ plasma coated soda-lime glass and uncoated glass by steel ball particle impact was analyzed in this study. And the shape variation of the cracks was investigated by stereo-microscope according to the impact velocity and steel ball diameter. In order to improve the damage reduction effect by $Cr_2O_3$ coating layer, crack size was measured and surface erosion state was observed for both of two kinds of specimen after impact experiment. And the results were compared with each other. The 4-point bending test was performed according to ASTM D790 testing method to evaluate the effect of coating layer for bending strength variation. As a result, it was found that the crack size of $Cr_2O_3$ coated specimen was smaller than that of uncoated one, because of the impact absorption by interior pores in the coating layer and the load dispersion by the structural characteristic of the coating layer. For the specimens subjected to the steel ball impact, the bending strength of coated specimen was higher than that of uncoated specimen.
