Objective: Central nervous system involvement in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been increasingly reported. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the incidence of radiologically demonstrated neurologic complications and detailed neuroimaging findings associated with COVID-19. Materials and Methods: A systematic literature search of MEDLINE/PubMed and EMBASE databases was performed up to September 17, 2020, and studies evaluating neuroimaging findings of COVID-19 using brain CT or MRI were included. Several cohort-based outcomes, including the proportion of patients with abnormal neuroimaging findings related to COVID-19 were evaluated. The proportion of patients showing specific neuroimaging findings was also assessed. Subgroup analyses were also conducted focusing on critically ill COVID-19 patients and results from studies that used MRI as the only imaging modality. Results: A total of 1394 COVID-19 patients who underwent neuroimaging from 17 studies were included; among them, 3.4% of the patients demonstrated COVID-19-related neuroimaging findings. Olfactory bulb abnormalities were the most commonly observed (23.1%). The predominant cerebral neuroimaging finding was white matter abnormality (17.6%), followed by acute/subacute ischemic infarction (16.0%), and encephalopathy (13.0%). Significantly more critically ill patients had COVID-19-related neuroimaging findings than other patients (9.1% vs. 1.6%; p = 0.029). The type of imaging modality used did not significantly affect the proportion of COVID-19-related neuroimaging findings. Conclusion: Abnormal neuroimaging findings were occasionally observed in COVID-19 patients. Olfactory bulb abnormalities were the most commonly observed finding. Critically ill patients showed abnormal neuroimaging findings more frequently than the other patient groups. White matter abnormalities, ischemic infarctions, and encephalopathies were the common cerebral neuroimaging findings.
In this paper the performance of meta-heuristics algorithms such as GA (Genetic Algorithm), DE (Differential Evolution), PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and SA (Simulated Annealing) for the problem of TTC enhancement using FACTS devices are compared. In addition to that in the assessment procedure of TTC two novel techniques are proposed. First the optimization algorithm which is used for TTC enhancement is simultaneously used for assessment of TTC. Second the power flow is done using Broyden - Shamanski method with Sherman - Morrison formula (BSS). The proposed approach is tested on WSCC 9 bus, IEEE 118 bus test systems and the results are compared with the conventional Repeated Power Flow (RPF) using Newton Raphson (NR) method which indicates that the proposed method provides better TTC enhancement and computational efficacy than the conventional procedure.
Natural frequencies of the structural systems should be far away from the excitation frequency in order to avoid or reduce the destructive effects of dynamic loads on structures. To accomplish this goal, a structural optimization on size and shape has been performed considering frequency constraints. Such an optimization problem has highly nonlinear property. Thus, the quality of the solution is not independent of the optimization technique to be applied. This study presents the performance evaluation of the recently proposed meta-heuristic algorithm called Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) as an optimization engine in the weight optimization of the truss structures under frequency constraints. Some examples regarding the optimization of trusses on shape and size with frequency constraints are solved. Also, the results obtained are tabulated for comparison. The results demonstrated that the performance of the TLBO is satisfactory. Additionally, TLBO is better than other methods in some cases.
A glass-ceramics material of composition %SiO_2$: 38.50, $Al_2O_3$: 26.00, $Na_2O$: 18.00, CaO: 6.00, MgO: 4.00, $TiO_2$: 7.50 was strengthened by coating a series of glazes$(SiO_2-B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-CaO-PbO-Na_2O-)$, which has lower thermal expansion coefficient than that of the glass-ceramics. The thermal expansion coefficient of the glazes ranges $80~90{\times}10^{-7}$cm/cm/$^{\circ}C$, whereas that of the glass-ceramics is $115{\times}10^{-7}$cm/cm/$^{\circ}C$. The glass-ceramics was identified to be composed of nepheline, carnegieite low form, and meta sodium silicate crystal by X-ray diffraction phase analysis. The glaze, having lower melting point and appropriate thermal expansion coefficient, was tried to be stable and good at secondary heat treatment.
The classical vehicle routing problem (VRP) can be extended by including customers who want to send goods to the depot. This type of VRP is called the vehicle routing problem with pickups and deliveries (VRPPD). This study proposes a novel way to solve VRPPD by introducing a two-phase heuristic routing algorithm which consists of a clustering phase and uses the geometrical center of a cluster and route establishment phase by applying a two-way search of each route after applying the TSP algorithm on each route. Experimental results show that the suggested algorithm can generate better initial solutions for more computer-intensive meta-heuristics than other existing methods such as the giant-tour-based partitioning method or the insertion-based method.
Various cinnamaldehyde derivatives were synthesized and their inhibition activity $(pI_{50})$ of farnesyl protein transferase (FPTase) was measured to examine the structure-activity relationships (SAR) on the basis that FPTase was inhibited by ortho-hydroxycinnamaldehyde derived from extracts of the bark of Cinnamomum cassia Blume. The ortho-substituents on the phenyl backbone of cinnamaldehyde showed higher activity than those with meta- and para-substituents, and the side chain required unsaturated aldehyde. In particular, 2-chlorocinnamaldehyde, 5 showed the highest inhibition activity on the FPTase among them and its inhibition activity $(pI_{50})$ value was 4.45.
In this work, a comparative study of multi-objective meta-heuristics (MOMHs) for optimum design of a walking tractor handlebar is conducted in order to reduce the structural mass and increase structural static and dynamic stiffness. The design problem has objective functions as maximising structural natural frequencies, minimising structural mass, bending deflection and torsional deflection with stress constraints. The problem is classified as a many-objective optimisation since there are more than three objectives. Design variables are structural shape and size. Several well established multi-objective optimisers are employed to solve the proposed many-objective optimisation problems of the walking tractor handlebar. The results are compared whereas optimum design solutions of the walking tractor handlebar are illustrated.

This paper studies the optimal inventory levels of Korea Assault Amphibious Vehicle(KAAV)'s assemblies in order to assure the required operational availability. The simulation model is built and implemented for the impact of the inventory levels on operational availability. Using regression analysis and integer programming, the optimal inventory levels of essential assemblies are suggested and analyzed. Finally, sensitivity analysis is conducted with recycling maintenance delay time.

The optimal solution of quadratic assignment problem (QAP) cannot get done in polynomial time. This problem is called by NP-complete problem. Therefore the meta-heuristic techniques are applied to this problem to get the approximated solution within polynomial time. This paper proposes an algorithm for a random type QAP, in which the instance of two nodes are arbitrary. The proposed algorithm employs what is coined as a max flow-min distance rule by which the maximum flow node is assigned to the minimum distance node. When applied to the random type QAP, the proposed algorithm has been found to obtain optimal solutions superior to those of the genetic algorithm.
Purpose Social media such as social network services, online forums, and customer reviews have produced a plethora amount of information online. Yet, the information deluge has created both opportunities and challenges at the same time. This research particularly focuses on the challenges in order to discover and track the service defects over time derived by mining publicly available online customer reviews. Design/methodology/approach Synthesizing the streams of research from text analytics, we apply two stages of methods of sentiment analysis and structural topic model incorporating meta-information buried in review texts into the topics. Findings As a result, our study reveals that the research framework effectively leverages textual information to detect, prioritize, and categorize service defects by considering the moving trend over time. Our approach also highlights several implications theoretically and practically of how methods in computational linguistics can offer enriched insights by leveraging the online medium.
