경기도 골프장 토양의 탈수소효소 활성과 물리화학적 특성 (Dehydrogenase Activity and Physico-chemical Characteristics of Golf Course Soils in Kyonggi Province)

  • The relationships between microbial activity and physico-KDICical characteristics of soils were investigated in three golf courses of Kwanak, Gold and Korea Country Clubs, with different open years. The soil samples were collected in tee, fairway and rough. There were ranges of 4.80-5.55 in pH, $25.55-98.50{\mu}S$ / cm in conductivity, 10.96-16.73% in moisture content, 0.18-0.36g / g in water holding capacity, 3.68-5.39% in organic matter, and 0.10-0.25% in total nitrogen. Dehydrogenase activity(DHA) as an index of soil microbial activity was determined. DHA values of soil were $69.83-314.43{\mu}$g / g in three courses and showed the order of Kwanak>Gold>Korea Country Club with open year. This indicates that DHA was affected by several fertilizer treatments rather than herbicide and pesticide treatments. DHA was significantly different with golf clubs as well as golf courses and positively correlated with water holding capacity and total nitrogen.

Leaf Spot and Blight of Peony caused by Phytophthora cactorum

  • Leaf spot and blight disease of tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.) was found in an apartment garden in Daegu in May 2003 for the first time in Korea. The causal organism was identified as Phytophthora cactorum (Leb. And Cohn) Schroeter. The causal fungus was homothallic, and produced distinctively papillate, ovoid to subspherical, and caducous sporangia with pedicel. Sporangia that formed in water measured 23.4-42.9$\times$21.5-35.1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in range with an average of 35.3$\pm$4.6${\times}$26.9$\pm$36.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$, I/b ratio=1.31, papillae approximately 3.7 $\mu\textrm{m}$ high, and pedicels 2.8 $\mu\textrm{m}$ long. Oogonia were spherical and 21.5-37.1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter with an average of 29.6$\pm$4.9 $\mu\textrm{m}$. Oospores were spherical, mostly plerotic, and light orange brown when mature, and measured 19.5-31.2 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter with an average of 25.2$\pm$4.4 $\mu\textrm{m}$. Antheridia were almost ovoid or club-shaped and 1l.7-15.6$\times$9.8-11.7 $\mu\textrm{m}$ in size.

Role of Activated Carbon Modified by H3PO4 and K2CO3 From Natural Adsorbent for Removal of Pb (II) From Aqueous Solutions

  • Most heavy metals are well-known toxic and carcinogenic agents and when discharged into wastewater represent a serious threat to the human population and the fauna and flora of the receiving water bodies. The present study aims to develop a procedure for Pb (II) removal. This procedure is based on using powdered activated carbon, which was prepared from walnut shells that were generated as plant wastes and modified with potassium carbonate and phosphoric acid as chemical agents. The main parameters, such as effect of pH, effect of sorbent dosage, Pb (II) concentrations, and various contact times influence the sorption process. The experimental results were analyzed by using Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin, and Dubinin-Radushkevich adsorption models. The kinetic study of Pb (II) on activated carbon from walnut shells was performed based on pseudo- first order and pseudo- second order equations. The data indicate that the adsorption kinetics follow the pseudo- second order rate. The procedure was successfully applied for Pb (II) removal from aqueous solutions.

Precise Void Fraction Measurement in Two-phase Flows Independent of the Flow Regime Using Gamma-ray Attenuation

  • Void fraction is an important parameter in the oil industry. This quantity is necessary for volume rate measurement in multiphase flows. In this study, the void fraction percentage was estimated precisely, independent of the flow regime in gas-liquid two-phase flows by using ${\gamma}-ray$ attenuation and a multilayer perceptron neural network. In all previous studies that implemented a multibeam ${\gamma}-ray$ attenuation technique to determine void fraction independent of the flow regime in two-phase flows, three or more detectors were used while in this study just two NaI detectors were used. Using fewer detectors is of advantage in industrial nuclear gauges because of reduced expense and improved simplicity. In this work, an artificial neural network is also implemented to predict the void fraction percentage independent of the flow regime. To do this, a multilayer perceptron neural network is used for developing the artificial neural network model in MATLAB. The required data for training and testing the network in three different regimes (annular, stratified, and bubbly) were obtained using an experimental setup. Using the technique developed in this work, void fraction percentages were predicted with mean relative error of <1.4%.

韓國産 플라나리아(Dugesia japonica Ichikawa et Kawakatsu) 消化器官의 微細構造에 關한 硏究 (A Study on the Ultrastructure of the Digestive Organ (Pharynx, Caeca) of Korean Planaria (Dugesia japonica Ichikawa et Kwakatsu))

  • 실험에 사용한 플라나리아는 Dugesia japonia Ichikawa et Kawakatsu로서 核型分析에 의하여 種을 확인하였다. 이 種의 咽頭 및 腸을 구성하는 세포들의 세포화학적 및 미세구조적 특징을 밝히고자 본 실험을 行하였다. 세포화학적 방법으로는 hematoxylin-eosin, periodic acid-Schiff(PAS) 反應, alcian blue(pH 2.5), PAS-alcian blue 反應 그리고 methylene blue-basic fuchsin등으로 염색을 시행하고, 光學顯微鏡으로 관찰하였으며 또한 各部位의 微細構造를 透査電子顯微鏡으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 咽頭(pharynx) 內腔上皮는 遊離面에 미세융모를 가지고 있었다. 세포질에는 PAS반응에 양성을 나타내는 약 0.4$\\times$0.6 $\\mum$의 과립들이 있고, 小胞 및 液胞가 분화되어 있었다. 핵은 基底部 쪽으로 치우쳐져 있고 基底膜은 관찰되지 않았다. 咽頭外腔의 咽頭 측상피에서는 섬모와 미세융모가 발달되어 있었고 上皮內側에는 근육층이 발달되어 있었다. 咽頭外腔을 둘러싸는 壁側上皮細胞에서는 미세융모가 관찰되었고 세포질에는 전자밀도가 높은 과립들이 포함되어 있었다. 2. 腸(caeca) 腸上皮細胞는 食細胞와 顆粒性棍棒體細胞 그리고 이 세포들을 둘러싸고 있는 貯藏細胞와 幼若貯藏細胞로 구성되어 있었다. 1) 食細胞(phagocytic cell) 세포질에는 비교적 많은 lysosome을 포함하고 있었으며 無顆粒性小胞體와 mitochondria등의 細胞小器官도 잘 발달되어 있었다. 특히 無顆粒性小胞體의 cisternae는 대부분 팽윤되어 있었고 polyribosome도 풍부하게 관찰되었다. 2) 顆粒性棍棒體細胞(granular club cell) 세포질에는 PAS 반응에 강한 양성을 보이고 또 약한 eosinophilia도 나타내는 약 5 $\\mum$의 球形의 과립들을 포함하고 있었다. 특히 顆粒性小胞體가 잘 발달되어 있어TEk. 3) 貯藏細胞(storage cell) 세포질내에는 glycogen 과립들과 PAS에 각기 다른 정도의 양성반응을 보이는 다수의 中性多糖性 과립과 脂肪顆粒들이 포함되어 있었다. 4) 幼若貯藏細胞(immature storage cell) 세포질에는 PAS반응에 양성을 보이는 소수의 작은과립과 脂肪顆粒이 내포되어 있으며 세포질에 비하여 핵은 매우컸다. 핵막 주위의 세포질에서는 chromatoid body들이 관찰되었다.

대만의 농민 후계자 및 농업인력 양성계획 연구 (A Study on the Project of Empowering Young Farmers and Agricultural Personnel in Taiwan)

  • Taiwan has plural agricultural education system and has accelerated its social and economic growth through Agricultural Extension Education. This study has been carried out centering around the work plans which analyzed the project of cultivating young farmers supported by the Republic of China Government. Taiwan has promoted administrative and financial support systems with the government as the central figure in order to equip the efficient and continuous development system of agricultural human resources for securing agricultural skilled personnel, developing farmers' organizations and cultivating young farmers that can cope with the open world. The main training programs are for developing farmers' organizations and they are as follows. 1) The Agricultural Production and Marketing Group(APMG) 2) Expert Farming Training Program for Rural Youth 3) Agricultural Extension Service Worker Training Program 4) Rural Youth Development Program 5) School 4-H Club Activities for Student Development Program 6) International Rural Youth Exchange Program Development 7) Agricultural Extension Education Program for Minority People 8) Job Change Training Program for Rural People The training programs are organized for all the rural residents and students to develop their individual careers systematically and continuously, and they are very encouraging in whole development. Also they offer us many suggestions.

골프 드라이버 스윙 시 Early Extension에 따른 임팩트 변화 (Change of Impact by the Early Extension in during a Golf Driver Swing)

  • The purpose of this study is to validate that change of impact by the Early Extension in during a golf driver swing. 13 golf players who were diagnosed with symptoms of Early Extension participated in a proactive corrective training programs that took place 3 times a week for a 4 month period. Data was collected by recording 5 pre and 5 post training driver swings and analyzing the data to calculate the change in velocity and its effect in the shot used the TRACK MAN. After the training, the changes of early extension were -0.21 cm in backswing section E2(take away), -0.64 cm in E3(halfway backswing), and -0.94 cm in E4(backswing top). The downswing section changes were -1.34 cm in event E5(halfway downswing), -1.74 cm in E6(impact). Impact force increased and thus club speed increased by 6.32 km/h, ball speed increased by 10.94 km/h, max height decreased by -6.22 m, carry increased by 10.85 m, carry side(left deviation) decreased by 4.84 m, flight time by increased by 0.4 sec, and total length increased by 17.96 m while landing angle decreased by -7.74 deg.

일부 저염식 피교육자의 식염섭취 및 뇨중 Sodium 배설양상 -장류 및 김치류 등 고식염 함유 식품을 중심으로- (A Study on Salt Intake and Urinary Sodium Excretion by Groups Educated Regarding Low Salt Diet)

  • To estimate the amount of daily salt intake by source of food and urinary sodium excretion, a dietary survey was conducted from August 27th to September 3, 1980. The salt concentration of six kinds of food was measured. The families of 25 womens' club leaders and 25 families of hypertensive patients were studied after they had been given a short course of education on lowsalt diet. The results were as follows: 1. The average amount of high-salt foods eaten daily by the study group were as follows: 4.5 Gm. in the form of table salt 16.8 ml of home-made soy sauce 6.20 ml of commercial soy sauce 11.9 Gm. of home-made red-pepper bean paste 12.0 Gm. of home-made soy-bean paste 120.7 Gm. of Kimchi 2. The average NaCl concentration of each food was as follows: 99.5% in table salt, 22.5% in home made soy sauce, 11.9% in Commercial soy sauce, 6.8 Gm% in home made red pepper bean paste, 9.2 Gm% in home-made soy-bean paste and the average concentration of various kinds of Kimchi was 2.7 Gm%. 3. The total amount of daily salt intake per adult was calculated as 14.3 Gm. By sources of food 4.5 Gm from table salt, 3.9 Gm from home-made soy sauce and 3. 3 Gm from Kimchi were taken daily Three other kinds of food were also minor sources of salt intake.4. The average amounts of individual daily salt intake were not significantly different between the hypertensive group and the normotensive group: the median of the normotensive group (11.7Gm.) was significantly lower than that of the hypertensive group (14.9Gm.). Therefore the womens' club leaders appeared to respond more quickly than the hypertensive group after low-salt diet education. 5. The average amount of sodium excretion in the 24 hour urine specimen was 234.7 mEq. From this finding the daily NaCl intake was estimated to be 15.8Gm.

농심함양 프로그램 참여 청소년의 농업·농촌에 대한 인식 조사 연구 (A Study on the Awareness about Agriculture and Rural Community of Youths)

  • 이 연구는 청소년들의 농업 농촌에 대한 인식 정도를 측정하고 향후 청소년들이 농업과 농촌에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 제고하기 위한 발전적 개선방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 4-H회에서 실시하고 있는 농심함양 프로그램 중 '벼화분재배'와 '그린프로그램'에 참여한 청소년들과 일반청소년들과의 인식의 차이를 검증하였다. 프로그램 참가 청소년들은 농업의 중요성과 수입개방, 농촌이 겪고 있는 어려움에 대해 대체로 잘 이해하고 있었으며, 농업과 농촌의 다원적 기능에 대해서도 식량안보와 환경보전 등에 대해 매우 중요하게 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 일반 청소년들은 농업 농촌이 당면한 문제에 대해 관심이 없거나 잘 모르고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 외국산 농산물의 수입을 제한하는 것에 대해서도 반대하는 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 조사를 바탕으로 청소년들의 농업 농촌에 대한 관심과 이해 확대와 4-H회 활동의 내실화를 위한 발전방안을 제시하면, 첫째, 일부 프로그램에 대한 이수제 확대와 제도적 정착, 둘째, 활동프로그램 활성화를 위한 네트워크 구축, 셋째, 지도교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 지원 확대, 넷째, 일반 청소년들에 대한 농심함양 프로그램 확대 시행 등이 있다.
