분기된 구조를 갖는 수직형 MEMS 프로브의 설계 (Design of Vertical Type MEMS Probe with Branch Springs)

  • 일반적으로 수직형 프로브는 가늘고 긴 S-자형 구조가 중복되기 때문에 신호 전달 특성이 저하되므로 이것에 대한 개선이 필요하다. 본 논문에서 제안된 프로브는 캔틸리버형보다 적은 면적을 차지하는 수직형으로 동시에 많은 메모리를 테스트하기에 적합하며, 특히 외부 압력이 가해졌을 때 분기된 스프링에 의해 폐 루프(closed loop)가 형성되어 기존의 S-자형 수직형 프로브보다 기계적 특성뿐만 아니라 전기적 신호 전달 특성이 개선된 새로운 형태의 수직형 프로브를 제안하였다. 제안된 프로브를 제작하여 측정 및 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 S-자형 수직형 프로브보다 오버드라이브(overdrive)는 1.2배, 컨택 포스(contact force)는 2.5배, 신호 전달특성은 $0{\sim}10$ GHz에서 최대 1.4 dB 개선되는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 프로브 카드(probe card)의 신호 전달 특성을 예측할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 프로브 카드를 구성하는 각 부품의 기하학적 특성에 맞도록 2.5D 또는 3D Full-wave 시뮬레이터를 사용하였으며, 계산된 결과는 측정 결과와 매우 잘 일치 하였다.

  • This paper describes the development of needle type probe that measures temperature and injects medicine for both diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain syndrome (MPS). The size of trigger points is from several micrometers to millimeter. Therefore, it is required to develop a medical device that is capable of not only finding the trigger points by temperature measurement, but also injecting medicine at the exact location for treatment. To challenge these difficulties, thermocouple was fabricated on the surface of a needle using metal deposition process. Special type of stainless-constantan thermocouple was achieved from the stainless body of a needle itself and deposited constantan metal film. In particular, parylene coating enables to limit the temperature sensitive area to the end of the needle tip. Fabricated needle type probe produces $3.25mV/^{\circ}C$ of thermoelectric sensitivity and compared its performance with commercial T-type thermocouple in animal muscle sample.

벽와도 측정을 위하여 개발된 V형 열선 프로브의 성능특성 (Performance Characteristics of a V-type Probe Developed for Wall Vorticity Measurement)

  • In order to investigate the relation between wall vorticity and streamwise velocity fluctuations in a turbulent boundary layer, a wall vorticity probe has been developed, which consists of two hot-wires on the wall aligned in V configuration. Although the measured intensity of spanwise wall vorticity fluctuations is somewhat lower than previous results, the intensity of streamwise wall vorticity fluctuations is in good agreement with them. It has been shown that the measured intensity of spanwise wall vorticity fluctuations is affected by transverse length of the wall vorticity probe. Instantaneous streamwise and spanwise wall vorticity fluctuations are compared with the results of DNS. Probability density function of spanwise wall vorticity fluctuations shows good agreement with previous results and is different from that of streamwise wall vorticity fluctuations. Energy spectrum of streamwisw wall vorticity fluctuations is lower than that of spanwise wall vorticity fluctuations in low frequency region.

직선형 5공 압력프로브를 이용한 3차원 유동속도 계측시스템 개발 (Measurement System Development for Three-Dimensional Flow Velocity Components Using Straight-Type Five-Hole Pressure Probe)

  • This paper shows the development process of a straight-type five-hole pressure probe for measuring three-dimensional flow velocity components. The data reduction method using a bi-cubic curve-fitting program in a new calibration map was introduced in this study. This new calibration map can be applied up to the application angle, ${\pm}55^{\circ}$ of a probe. As a result, for the application angle of ${\pm}45^{\circ}$, an error for yaw and pitch angles appeared from $-1.76^{\circ}\;to\;1.83^{\circ}$ and from $-1.91^{\circ}\;to\;1.75^{\circ}$, respectively. Moreover, an error for a vector magnitude and a static pressure compared with a dynamic one showed from -7.83% to 4.87% and from -0.73 to 0.77, respectively. Even though this data reduction method showed unsatisfactory errors in a vector magnitude, it resulted in an easy and simple application method. Especially, when it was applied to an actual flow field including a swirling flow, a good result came out on the whole. However, in order to obtain a better result, it is thought that a more sophisticated interpolation method needs to be introduced.

  • In metal cutting, the machining accuracy is more affected by thermal errors than by geometric errors. This paper models of the thermal errors for error analysis and develops on-the-machine measurement system by which the volumetric error are measured and compensated. The thermal error is modeled by means of angularity errors of a column and thermal drift error of the spindel unit which are measured by the touch probe unit with a star type styluses, a designed spherical ball arti-fact, and five gap sensors. In order to analyze the thermal characteristics under several operating conditions, experiments performed with the touch probe unit and five gap sensors on the vertical and horizontal machining centers.

  • To investigate the protein binding characteristics of ibuprofenlysine, the effects of drub conentration, pH, ionic strength and protein concentration on the binding of drug to protein concentration on the binding of drug to protein were studied by fluorescence probe method. The conformational change of protein was investigated by circular dichroism (CD) measurement. As the concentration of drug increases, the association constant decreases. These may be due to complex formation of the probe and drug, or the interaction of the protein-probe complex and drug. The association constant for ibuprofenlysine increased with increasing protein concentration. These finding suggest a sharing of one ibuprofenlysine molecule by more than one protein molecule in the binding. The binding between ibuprofenlysine and protein was dependent on pH and ionic strength. It seems that both hydrophobic binding and some electrostatic forces are involved in the binding of ibuprofenlysing to protein.

  • ISO 14649 (data model for STEP-NC) is a new interface scheme or language for CAD-CAM-CNC chain under established by ISO TC184 SCI. Up to this point, the new language is mainly made for milling and turning, and other processes such as EDM will be completed in the future. Upon completion, it will be used as the international standard language for e-manufacturing paradigm by replacing the old machine-level language, so called M&G code used since 1950's. With the rich information contents included in the new language, various intelligent functions can be made by the CNC as the CNC knows what-to-make and how-to-make. In particular, On-Machine Inspection required for quality assurance in the machine level, can be done based on the information of feature­based tolerance graph. Previously, On-Machine inspection has been investigated mainly for milling operation, and only a few researches were made for turning operation without addressing the data model. In this thesis, we present a feature-based on-machine inspection process by the 4 Tasks: 1) proposing a new schema for STEP-NC data model, 2) converting the conventional tolerance scheme into that of STEP-NC, 3) modifying the tolerance graph such that the tolerance can be effectively measured by the touch probe on the machine, and 4) generating collision-free tool path for actual measurement. Task 1 is required for the incorporation of the presented method in the ISO 14649, whose current version does not much include the detailed schema for tolerance. Based on the presented schema, the tolerance represented in the conventional drafting can be changed to that of STEP-NC (Task 2). A special emphasis was given to Task 3 to make the represented tolerance accurately measurable by the touch probe on the machine even if the part setup is changed. Finally, Task 4 is converting the result of Task into the motion of touch probe. The developed schema and algorithms were illustrated by several examples including that of ISO 14649 Part 12.

  • 최근들어 극초단 광학펄스를 생성하고 증폭하는 기술의 발달로 인하여 시분해 레이저 분광학에 많은 영향을 끼치게 되었다. 그 중에서도 응용성이 넓은 순간흡수분광학장치를 본 연구실에서 개발하였다. 이 기술은 고출력 레이저 펄스를 이용하여 white light continuum pulse를 생성시켜 이를 조사빔으로 이용하고, pump pulse는 원래 상태의 레이저를 이용하는 것이다. 순간흡수율 변화를 여러 파장에서 측정가능하도록 photodiode array를 이용하였으며, pump와 probe pulse의 시간차이에 의한 순간흡수율 변화를 색소의 일종인 DDI를 이용하여 측정하였다.

  • 몰리브덴(Molybdenum) 박막은 높은 전기전도성을 가진 금속으로 CIGS계 태양전지의 후면전극으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 스퍼터링법을 통해 증착되는 몰리브덴 박막의 경우, 전기 전도성 및 기판과의 밀착성은 스퍼터 전력 및 압력과 같은 공정 조건에 따라 변화된다. 본 연구에서는 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 몰리브덴 박막을 Ar 가스 분위기에서 압력별로 증착하였다. SEM(scanning electron microscope), XRD(X-ray Diffraction), 4-point probe, 광반사율, Hall measurement를 이용하여 박막의 전기적, 구조적 특성을 분석하였다.

PTH Crack을 고려한 저항 변화 추정 모델 (A Study on Estimation Model of Resistance Value from Change of PTH Crack Size)

  • PTH cracks are caused by the mismatch of coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE) between polymer and laminated materials, and are one of the main failure mechanisms of multi layer boards. In spite of its importance, it is usually hard to measure or detect them because of its small size and invisibility. To detect PTH cracks more effectively, this paper proposes a theoretical model that can estimate the resistance value from crack size of PTHs. Using four-point probe resistance measurement method, the resistance value of test coupons is measured. Through measured data, we verify the validity of the proposed theoretical model and set up criteria of failure.
