구속모형시험을 통한 예선의 조종성능 추정 및 실선시운전결과 비교

  • 예선과 부선으로 이루어진 예부선의 예인 운항 상태에 대한 수학모델을 개발하기 위하여, 먼저 예선에 대한 수학모델을 개발하였다. 이를 위하여 예선모형을 이용하여 4자유도의 수학모델에 대한 구속모형시험을 수행하였고, 그 결과를 이용하여 선회, 지그재그 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 또한 예선실선에 대한 예선시운전 실험을 통하여 선회, 지그재그 결과를 얻고, 이를 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하여 예선의 수학모델을 검증하였다.

Prediction of Maneuverability of KCS with 4 Degrees of Freedom (KCS 선형의 4자유도 조종성능 추정)

  • This paper presents the results of prediction of maneuverability of KCS about 4 degree of freedom(DOF) including roll motion. The prediction is carried out by CPMC captive model test. The CPMC(Computerized Planar Motion Carriage) with captive model test equipment including roll moment gage is installed at Ocean Engineering Tank of MOERI. KCS is the container ship open to the world by MOERI. To predict the 4 DOF maneuverability of a ship some tests with roll angle are conducted. And the prediction results of maneuverability by simulation are compared with the results of free running model test. The simulation results agree well with those of free running model tests.

Model Test for Towing Stability and Seakeeping of a Multi-Purpose Mobile Base (해상풍력 일괄설치시스템 예인 안정성 및 내항성능 평가를 위한 모형시험)

  • A model test for assessment of towing stability and seakeeping of a multi-purpose mobile base (MMB) was performed in calm water and wave conditions. Scale ratio of the MMB was 1/48. Tension of the towing line was measured during tests to estimate effective power to tow the full scale MMB. The tests were repeated with towing speed. In addition, an inertial measurement unit was used to measure six DOF motion of the model. Seakeeping performance was assessed through the captive model test.

  • The assessment of maneuverability of a ship is very important from the view point of safety of human beings and of pollution of ocean. And, it is quite natural that every ship yard wants to have some tools with which they can build a ship with good maneuverability. But, maneuvarability of a ship is very subtle problem, and to calculate the exact maneuvering motion, lots of captive model tests must be carried out. Futhermore, in the initial design stage we can not make the scale model, because the lines of a ship is not fixed. In this paper, some approximate method to calculate the maneuvering motion of a ship, with the principal dimensions of hull, and propeller, rudder characteristics only, is studied. And, proposed approximate method is used to calculate the turning and zig-zag maneuver of several ships. The results of those calculations and the usability of the method are discussed.
