  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) is use of an RFID tag applied to object for the purpose of identification and tracking using radio waves. Recently, it is being actively researched and introduced in logistics and manufacturing. RFID portals in supply chains are meant to identify all the tags within a given interrogation zone. Hence the hardware and software mechanisms for RFID tag identification mostly focus on successful read of multiple tags simultaneously. Such mechanisms, however, are inefficient for determining moving direction of tags, sequence of consecutive tags, and validity of the tag reads from the viewpoint of workflow. These types of problems usually cause many difficulties in RFID portal implementation in manufacturing environment, there by having RFID-system developers waste a considerable amount of time. In this research, we designated an RFID portal system with SDO(Sequence, Direction, and Object-flow)-perception capability by using fundamental data supplied by ordinary RFID readers. Using our work, RFID system developers can save a great amount of time building RFID data-capturing applications in manufacturing environment.

  • Rail transportation system are needed to develop proper corresponds to satisfy various demands in freight transportation since there are many problems in rail transportation infrastructure and operation. This paper analyzes characteristics of rail transportation consumers and develops policy for vitality of rail transportation by survey of rail transportation consumers and AHP methodology. This paper is organized as follows. Section 1 presents the description of the objective and the methods for this study. Section 2 presents the description of the methods for analysis of characteristics of consumers of rail freight transportation. Section 3 presents the characteristics of rail transportation consumers by analysis the survey results of rail transportation consumers. Section 4 summarizes our conclusions and discusses further research topics.

중소 금형제조업체의 주문최적화를 위한 전자상거래용 에이전트 개발

  • 전자상거래는 구매자와 판매자 모두에게 많은 이점을 제공할 수 있어 최근 이에 관한 연구들이 많이 진행되고 있다. 특히 중소제조업체의 경우, 전자상거래라는 경영환경의 변화는 새로운 기회로 다가오고 있어, 상대적으로 기술력이 취약한 중소제조업체의 전자상거래를 지원하기 위한 요소 기술들의 개발 필요성이 점차 부각되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 판매과정을 사이버 공간에서 수행할 수 있는 전자상거래 기술을 개발하였다. 일반적으로 변화하는 경영환경에서는 생산과 관련된 계획과 통제가 보다 더 신속하고 정확하게 이루어져야 한다. 즉 전자상거래 환경에서의 제조업체는 구매자가 요구한 제품의 생산과 납기일을 맞추어 줄 수 있는지의 여부를 실시간으로 응답할 수 있어야 한다. 나아가서 인터넷을 통해 접수된 주문들은 해당 제조업체의 생산능력을 초과할 수 있는데 이 때에는 접수된 주문들 중에서 자사의 이익을 극대화할 수 있는 주문집합을 선별하여 접수여부를 결정해야 한다. 이와 같이 전자상거래 환경하에서의 제조업체는 생산과 관련된 정보를 신속하게 전달 받아 주문접수여부에 관한 의사결정을 올바르게 수행하는 것이 중요한데 본 연구에서는 중소 금형제조업체의 일정계획 및 주문처리를 위한 일정계획 기반의 선정 에이전트의 구조와 방법론을 제시하였다. 지금까지 일정계획에 관한 연구들은 대부분 납기일의 만족과 비용의 최소화 측면을 위주로 다루었다. 그러나 본 연구에서의 문제는 비용의 최소화보다는 납기일을 준수하면서 가장 많은 이익을 가져다 줄 수 있는 최적주문집합을 선정하는 문제를 다루고있다.자료를 수집하고, 통계분석 패키지를 이용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 방식을 결합한 하이브리드 형태이다.인터넷으로 주문처리하고, 신속 안전한 배달을 기대한다. 더불어 고객은 현재 자신의 물건이 배달되는 경로를 알고싶어 한다. 웹을 통해 물건을 주문한 고객이 자신이 물건의 배달 상황을 웹에서 모니터링 한다면 기업은 고객으로 공간적인 제약으로 인한 불신을 불식시키는 신뢰감을 주게 된다. 이러한 고객서비스 향상과 물류비용 절감은 사이버 쇼핑몰이 전국 어디서나 우리의 안방에서 자연스럽게 점할 수 있는 상황을 만들 것이다.SP가 도입되어, 설계업무를 지원하기위한 기본적인 시스템 구조를 구상하게 된다. 이와 함께 IT Model을 구성하게 되는데, 객체지향적 접근 방법으로 Model을 생성하고 UML(Unified Modeling Language)을 Tool로 사용한다. 단계 4)는 Software Engineering 관점으로 접근한다. 이는 최종산물이라고 볼 수 있는 설계업무 지원 시스템을 Design하는 과정으로, 시스템에 사용될 데이터를 Design하는 과정과, 데이터를 기반으로 한 기능을 Design하는 과정으로 나눈다. 이를 통해 생성된 Model에 따라 최종적으로 Coding을 통하여 실제 시스템을 구축하게 된다.the making. program and policy decision making, The objectives of the study are to develop the methodology of modeling the socioeconomic evaluation, and b

  • In a situation where the necessity and importance of ESG management is increasing recently, it is judged that selecting important ESG-related variables for container terminals, which are the bases of export and import logistics, among various variables of ESG evaluation agencies will help to establish ESG management strategies for container terminals which led us to proceed with this study. The results of word network analysis are summarized as follows. The weighed degree, that is, the AWD of Environmental management(E) variables, is obtained in the order of Environmental Protection Investment(54), Environmental Awareness Education(45), Work Team Structure(31), Environmental certification(32). Page Ranks, the order of centrality and connectivity index is Environmental Awareness Education(0.0765), Employee Engagement(0.0765), Environmental Protection Investment(0.0761), Work Team Composition(0.0761), and Environmental certification(0.0761). The AWD(Average Weighed Degree) of the Social Responsibility Management(S) variables, followed by Protecting workers' human rights and contributing to local communities(68), Safety Education(63), Safety certification(59), and Responding to infectious diseases(40). Orders by Page Ranks, centrality and connectivity Index, are Protecting workers' human rights and contributing to local communities(0.165), Safety Education(0.153), Safety Certification(0.144) and Responding to infectious diseases(0.102). The AWD of Governance and Ethical management(G) variables, followed by Anti-corruption(27), Transparent management(24), Mutual cooperation between stakeholders(19), and Sustainability reporting(9). Analysis of the Characteristics of Container Ports in Busan Port Using Industrial Organization Approach (산업조직론을 활용한 부산항 컨테이너 하역산업의 특성 분석)

  • In order for the users (shipping firms and shippers) and suppliers (stevedoring firms) in the container terminal industry to win-win, it is necessary to have some appropriate diverse market conditions for the industry. This study analyses the basic conditions and demand and supply characteristics of the industry and investigates the market performance of Busan container ports. First, this article analyses the basic characteristics of demand and supply. As the demand characteristics, there are five ones such as 1) exogeneity of demand, 2) function as export/import transportation and hub for transshipment, 3) increase of users' bargaining power, 4) high substituting elasticity, 5) reduction of volume growth. As the supply characteristics, there are seven ones such as 1) inelasticity of supply, 2) homogeneity of stevedoring services, 3) over-supply, 4) adoption of cutting-edge stevedoring technology, 5) scale economy and impossibility of storage, 6) labor market rigidity, 7) enhancing port's role in SCM. In addition, this study conducts the so-called structure-conduct-performance analysis. For the structure analysis, 1) lacks of scale economy in stevedoring companies, 2) high entry barrier, 3) strengthening of shipping firms' bargaining power, 4) transitory permission scheme for tariff are analyzed. For the conduct analysis, 1) price discrimination between export/import and transshipment, 2) mid-term length of terminal use contract, 3) continuous investment in equipment, 4) low level of cooperation among terminal operating firms are derived. For the performance analysis, 1) inequality in profitability, 2) reduction of export/import cost, 3) delay in adopting cutting-edge technology, 4) idle equipment are analyzed. Following this logical flow, the hypothesis that the market structure influences the market conduct is tested based on the actual dataset. As a future agenda in the conclusion, this article recommends the so-called port industrial policy.

  • 세계적인 자원고갈과 지구온난화와 같은 환경문제가 발생됨에 따라 대체에너지 개발에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 섬유소 기질을 이용한 바이오에탄올 생산은 세계적으로 막대한 자원이 있으며 광합성에 의해 재생산되는 무한한 재원으로서 환경적으로도 대기오염물질을 적게 배출하여 유용한 에너지원으로 각광받고 있다. 하지만 섬유소 기질은 cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin과 같은 고분자 화합물이 유기적으로 결합된 단단한 결정구조로 이루어져 있어 이를 분해하여 원하는 물질을 얻기 위해서는 전처리 과정이 필요하다. 전처리 공정은 바이오에탄올을 생산하는 당화 및 발효공정의 효율 및 반응시간 단축에 기여하며, 특히 섬유소 기질일 경우에는 필수불가결한 공정이다. 전처리 공정은 물리적, 화학적, 생물학적 방법으로 나누어지며, 이러한 방법들 중 기질의 특성과 처리효율에 따라 기술들을 병합하여 사용하기도 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 산 처리, 암모니아 처리, 과산화수소 처리 및 효소를 이용한 생물학적 처리를 단독 또는 병행하여, 전환된 당 성분 및 함량을 조사함으로서 섬유소계 기질인 채소 음식물류 쓰레기를 대상으로 바이오에탄올을 경제적으로 생산하기 위한 적합한 전처리법을 검토하였다. 전처리 방법별 당화율을 살펴보면, 산 처리와 암모니아-과산화수소-계면활성제 처리가 각각 65.3 % 및 65.7 %로 가장 높았으며, 과산화수소 처리는 16.2 %로 가장 낮았다. 반면 전처리 공정 없이 효소를 이용한 당화만을 실시한 경우에는 4.3 %의 낮은 당화율을 나타내었다. 섬유소계 기질의 전처리 효율을 향상시키기 위해 첨가하는 계면활성제의 효과는 암모니아-과산화수소 및 암모니아-과산화수소-계면활성제 처리의 당화율을 비교한 결과, 뚜렷한 효과를 확인할 수 없었다. 전처리 방법별 당의 성분 및 함량을 비교한 결과 육탄당은 암모니아-과산화수소-계면활성제 전처리에서 가장 많이 검출되었다. 오탄당은 산 처리 후 그 함량이 현저히 높았으며, 오탄당 중 xylose의 함량이 60.49 mg/g로 가장 많이 차지하고 있었다. 이 결과로부터 전처리 방법에 관계없이 당화율은 유사한 수준을 보이지만, 당화된 당의 성분 및 함량에는 큰 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이당류의 경우 과산화수소 및 암모니아-과산화수소 처리를 제외한 나머지 전처리 방법에서 유사한 수준을 나타내었다. 암모니아 처리 및 과산화수소 처리를 순차적으로 병행한 암모니아-과산화수소 처리에서는 각각의 처리시보다 육탄당의 함량은 증가하였으나 암모니아 처리시보다 이당류의 함량은 감소한 것으로 나타났다.

  • The drone is an unmanned aircraft that can be steered and controlled using radio waves on the ground, and the pilot moves unmanned without boarding. The history of the unmanned airplane began with military use, and the first unmanned aerial flight was the first successful flight of the 'Sperry Aerial Torpedo' drones built in the United States in 1917 with a bomb. With the development of unmanned aerial technology, the use of military drones has expanded to a wider field. Recently, the use of drones has been utilized in various fields such as agriculture, industry, logistics, broadcasting, and safety, and the scale of the market is also expanding. Although the drones are becoming indispensable to penetrate our lives, they can be used for bad purposes depending on the intended use of the user, but the risk factors are overlooked. Therefore, technical defects related to drones and accidents caused by operator's mistakes can not be completely prevented. However, privacy infringement, security leakage, and terrorism, which may be caused by illegal use of drones, It will not be inhibited and will accelerate.

A Study of the Comparison of Cognition between Seafarer and Shipping Operations Manager on Human Factors of Ship Accident (선박사고의 인적요인에 대한 선원과 운항관리자 간의 인식 비교에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify human factors that directly or indirectly cause ship accidents and to suggest implications based on the derived human factors. In particular, we conducted a survey on the basis of the human factors derived from the literature survey and interviews, and applied the revised importance-performance analysis (IPA) to develop implications from a comparison of two groups: seafarers and shipping operations managers. Data were collected from 159 practitioners in the Korean shipping industry. The analysis structure consisted of five major factors with 20 components, including unique factors related to ship and shipping management companies, personal competence, in-vessel organization, and personnel's health, as well as social factors. The result of the IPA analysis indicates that in-vessel organization is the most urgent and major factor for improvement. Some differences exist in the components that should be improved between the two groups. For the seafarer group, an increase in unskilled onboard crew affected sustainable safety activities, thus implying an area of preferential improvement regarding the in-vessel organization factor. However, for the shipping operations managers group, the difference in recognizing safety standards among the crew members on board and the ability to communicate with other crew members should be improved first relative to in-vessel organization factors. The personnel's health factor was identified to be of low importance in both groups. Finally, the importance of improving the safety consciousness level according to the safety education and training implementation for seafarers on board was different for the two groups.

Analysis of Service Factors on the Management Performance of Korea Railroad Corporation - Based on the railroad statistical yearbook data - (한국철도공사 경영성과에 미치는 서비스 요인분석 -철도통계연보 데이터를 대상으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive service factors based on the "Rail Statistical Yearbook" data of railroad service providers from 1990 to 2019, and to analyze the effect of the service factors on the operating profit ratio(OPR), a representative management performance variable of railroad transport service providers. In particular, it has academic significance in terms of empirical research to evaluate whether the management innovation of the KoRail has changed in line with the purpose of establishing the corporation by dividing the research period into the first period (1990-2003) and the latter (2004-2019). The contents of this study investigated previous studies on the quality of railway passenger transportation service and analyzed the contents of government presentation data related to the management performance evaluation of the KoRail. As an empirical analysis model, a research model was constructed using OPR as a dependent variable and service factor variables of infrastructure, economy, safety, connectivity, and business diversity as explanatory variables based on the operation and management activity information during the analysis period 30 years. On the results of research analysis, OPR is that the infrastructure factor is improved by structural reform or efficiency improvement. And economic factors are the fact that operating profit ratio improves by reducing costs. The safety factor did not reveal the significant explanatory power of the regression coefficient, but the sign of influence was the same as the prediction. Connectivity factor reveals a influence on differences between first period and latter, but OPR impact direction is changed from negative in before to positive in late. This is an evironment in which connectivity is actually realized in later period. On diversity factor, there is no effect of investment share in subsidiaries and government subsidies on OPR.

A Study on the Effect of Automobile Port's Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty: Focusing on the Pyeong-taek Automobile Port (자동차 항만의 서비스 품질요인이 고객만족 및 충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구: 평택항 자동차부두를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of service quality offered by automotive Ro-Ro terminal operators on customer satisfaction and loyalty. The results of the research can be used to understand how to enhance the service level in order to manage competitiveness of the terminal operators, finally resulting in global competitiveness of the automobile industry of Korea in both exports and imports. We carried out a survey on two groups: shippers (customers) and providers (related terminal operators and stakeholders). To identify and classify the factors into groups, we conducted Exploratory Factors Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), which showed construct validity and convergent validity. We also calculated Cronbach's alpha for reliability. Five factor groups were identified: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. We found that empathy is the most influential factor group among the five groups, and that the other groups too exhibited similar effects. Based on the results of the survey and analyses, we can conclude that empathy is most important in automotive Ro-Ro terminals. In particular, specialties, training, experiences, and loyalty of employees are crucial factors because automotive Ro-Ro terminals significantly rely on work forces, differently from other bulk terminals and container terminals. Flexible working hours and fringe benefits for work forces can increase empathy, finally resulting in productivity and efficiency. Next, well-designed work schedules are followed, based on visibility through logistics and SCM activities in automobile export and import processes with information and communication networks.
