Ceramides are currently emerging as the major skin care ingredients due to !heir barrier properties in the stratum corneum of the human skin. Thus, major cosmetic companies have developed synthetic ceramide analogs for their own use. In this study, several ceramide mimic compounds , new skin barrier lipids, were designed and synthesized, and their physical and biological properties were investigated to evaluate their skin care capability. Several structures were designed from the variation of hydrophobic alkyl chain and hydrophilic moiety by the use of molecular modeling software. The selected targets were synthesized, and their properties and activities were studied as the pure form, in the emulsion, or in the lamellar mixture containing cholesterol and fatty acid. Some compounds, such as 1,3-bis(N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-palmitoylamino)-2-hydroxypropane, enhanced the restoration of skin barrier damaged by SDS(sodium dodecyl sulfate), and by acetone treatment. The rate of restoration was comparable to that of natural ceramides. The synthesized compounds alleviated SDS induced skin irritation and facilitated lamellar phase liquid crystal formation. The treatment of 1,3-Dis(N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-palmitoylam ino)-2-hyd roxypropane on the acetone damaged skin revealed that the compound promoted the recovery of intercellular lipid lamellar structure of stratum corneum layer. The replacement of palmitoyl groups of the compound with shorter alkyl chain gave lower emulsion viscosity and liquid crystal density, suggesting easier formulation and poorer barrier activity. Most of the synthesized compounds were non-irritable in various toxicological tests proving that they can be safely introduced to the skin care formulations.
Recently, thank to the popularization of light-weight drone through the significant developments in computer technologies as well as the advanced automated procedures in photogrammetry, Unmanned Aircraft Systems have led to a growing interest in industry as a whole. Documentation, maintenance, and restoration projects of large scaled cultural property would required accurate 3D phenomenon modeling and efficient visual inspection methods. The object of this study verify on the accuracies achieved of 3D phenomenon reconstruction as well as on the validity of the preservation, maintenance and restoration of large scaled cultural property by UAS photogrammetry. The test object is cltural heritage(treasure 1324) that is the rock-carved standing Bodhisattva in Soraesan Mountain, Siheung, documented in Goryeo Period(918-1392). This standing Bodhisattva has of particular interests since it's size is largest stone Buddha carved in a rock wall and is wearing a lotus shaped crown that is decorated with arabesque patterns. The positioning accuracy of UAS photogrammetry were compared with non-target total station survey results on the check points after creating 3D phenomenal models in real world coordinates system from photos, and also the quantified informations documented by Culture Heritage Administration were compared with UAS on the bodhisattva image of thin lines. Especially, tests the validity of UAS photogrammetry as a alternative method of visual inspection methods. In particular, we examined the effectiveness of the two techniques as well as the relative fluctuation of rock surface for about 2 years through superposition analysis of 3D points cloud models produced by both UAS image analysis and ground laser scanning techniques. Comparison studies and experimental results prove the accuracy and efficient of UAS photogrammetry in 3D phenomenon modeling, maintenance and restoration for various large-sized Cultural Heritage.

When planning for streams, adequate and definite flood control should be in the primary consideration of the planner; likewise, flood control is the basic prerequisite for the recent river restoration taking place nationwide. Planning 'safe' streams and rivers that are predictable and controllable begins from accurate survey data. In this research, we will create streams in 3D terrain models and apply them through hydraulic analysis and restoration using smart geospatial information. This process allows the extraction of more accurate data regarding streams and rivers, which makes possible precise hydraulic analysis that is superior in details to the conventional methods. The study also proposes optimal vertical section interval for efficient data processing on hydraulic analysis, applicable when LiDAR data is utilized on hydraulic analysis of urban streams. The study proposes 3D design plan and various applications for spatially planning and restoring rivers and streams.
This study was to investigate the influence of combining composite resins with different elastic modulus, and occlusal loading condition on the stress distribution of restored notch-shaped non-carious cervical lesion using 3D finite element (FE) analysis. The extracted maxillary second premolar was scanned serially with Micro-CT. The 3D images were processed by 3D-DOCTOR. ANSYS was used to mesh and analyze 3D FE model. A notch-shaped cavity was modeled and filled with hybrid, flowable resin or a combination of both. After restoration, a static load of 500N was applied in a point-load condition at buccal cusp and palatal cusp. The stress data were analyzed using analysis of principal stress. Results showed that combining method such that apex was restored by material with high elastic modulus and the occlusal and cervical cavosurface margin by small amount of material with low elastic modulus was the most profitable method in the view of tensile stress that was considered as the dominant factor jeopardizing the restoration durability and promoting the lesion progression.
Currently, digital technology is being used in various fields of dental treatment. In particular, in the case of anterior esthetic restoration, the traditional restoration method cannot contain facial information and it is difficult for the patient to predict the treatment result. However, in the case of esthetic restoration through digital design, the visualization of the prosthesis design and the ease of reflecting patient feedback, and expecting the treatment result is available. In this case, the patient confirmed the results of restoration treatment using a digital method before treatment and obtained consent for treatment in an anterior tooth trauma patient. In addition, since the conventional digital smile design method uses only the patient's facial and smile information, the design was made on a two-dimensional plane, and its application was somewhat limited. However, in this case, a three-dimensional virtual patient was created and thus the designed restoration was viewed from various angles. Through this case, it was possible to obtain a high degree of satisfaction with the ease of communication with the patient and the technician during the esthetic restoration using the digital method, the simplicity of the procedure, and the treatment result.

Purpose This paper was purposed to suggest the method to produce the supportive helmet (head correction) for the infants who are suffering from plagiocephaly and to evaluate the level of transformation through 3D model. Method Either of CT or X-ray restored images has been used in making the supportive helmet (Head correction) in general, but these methods of measuring have problems in cost and safety. 3D surface measurement technology was suggested to solve such matters. Results It was to design the transformed model of the head within 0.7cm in average by scanning the surface of head and performing 3D restoration with marching cube and the changing rate of the head was compared in numerical data with 3D model. Conclusion The suggested methods displayed the better performance than the conventional method in respect of the speed and cost.

Culture is not only a factor of a life worthy of man, but also that of beauty and fluency of life,so it works as a key to show differences in the quality of life. Paying attention to culture, which plays a role to create new things, is a source of high-added value. The term of cultural contents was derived in21C, combining digital skills with art. We are going to reconstruct and develope cultural properties such as remains, pottery, pictures, as a way of restoration for cultural contents with the view of reinterpretation. In this paper, we reinterpreted the pictures which were based on three particular elements in Chosun Dinasty- poetry, handwriting, and picture, and we produced 3D objects after analyzing texts and images in multimedia works applied with source pictures. As a highlighted method of restoration for cultural contents, we produced the work which can be interacted and has three dimensional objects getting out of appreciating of plane images. We presented a method of informing our culture with 3D Mong-yu-do-won-do, which used traditional paintings by being improved user friendliness and accessibility.
This paper proposes a method of restoring corrupted depth image captured by depth camera through unsupervised learning using generative adversarial network (GAN). The proposed method generates restored face depth images using 3D morphable model convolutional neural network (3DMM CNN) with large-scale CelebFaces Attribute (CelebA) and FaceWarehouse dataset for training deep convolutional generative adversarial network (DCGAN). The generator and discriminator equip with Wasserstein distance for loss function by utilizing minimax game. Then the DCGAN restore the loss of captured facial depth images by performing another learning procedure using trained generator and new loss function.

The purpose of this study was to compare the proximal surface contour, size of contact area, and volume difference before and after restoration in artificial teeth of primary molars during proximal composite resin restoration using different matrix systems. Four types of artificial teeth were restored with composite resin using sectional matrix systems-Palodent V3 Sectional Matrix System and myJunior Kitand a circumferential matrix system-Tofflemire Matrix System-and modeled threedimensionally for analysis. When sectional matrix systems were used, there was a higher probability of concave proximal surface contour and simultaneously greater contact area and volume. This is attributed to the dead soft properties of the matrix band used in sectional matrix systems, which can lead to deformation of the band and hence an excessive amount of resin applied around the contact point. Additionally, the rubber wedge in the sectional matrix system may not help the matrix band fit into the cavity. Therefore, based on the findings of this study, morphological aspects need to be carefully considered for proximal composite resin restoration of primary molars using sectional matrix systems.

The main purpose of this study was to verify the shore margin protection effect of the root system of Salix gracilistyla Miq. developed from direct sticking cuttings on wetland, through the measurement of root growth and comparison of soil slaking rate depending on the planting method applied to shore-marginal slope. Comparison of growth rate and soil dispersion rate was made between five planted slope and one naked slope. The planting methods applied to the planted slope were (a) horizontally layed burying of stick(45cm) bundle (b) horizontally layed covering the slope with sticks (c) horizontally fencing with normal cuttings(20cm) (d) elected sticking of normal cutting at equal distances (e) random scattering short cuttings(3-4cm). As results, the most effective planting method was horizontally layed burying, and in order to increase its efficiency scattering the live stem chips in 2-3cm on the slope is recommended. The growth of root was negatively regressive to the distance from water floor.
