Objective: The aim of this study is to characterize the impact of additional electrical stimulation (AES) and various pre-rigor holding temperatures (for 3 h) on the ageing-potential of hot boned bovine M. longissimus lumborum (LL). Methods: Paired LL loins from 12 bulls were hot-boned within 40 min of slaughter, immediate AES applied and subjected to various holding temperatures (5℃, 15℃, 25℃, and 35℃) for 3 h. Results: AES did not accelerate the rate of rigor attainment, but the 3 h pre-rigor holding temperature did. Shear force values decreased as the pre-rigor holding temperatures increased. AES and holding for 3 h (at 25℃) resulted in higher water-holding capacity. Conclusion: Data confirmed that AES did not influence the various meat quality parameters in the present study, but pre-rigor holding temperature (25℃) alone or in combination with AES resulted in superior meat quality.

These experiments were conducted to investigate effects of glycyrrhizin (GL) on apoptosis of transplanted-L1210 cells in mice. GL induced apoptosis of transplanted-Ll2lO cells. GL increased nitric oxide production from peritoneal macrophages of L1210 cells-transplanted mice. NOC12, nitric oxide donor, induced apoptosis of L1210 cells in vitro. The apoptosis of L1210 cells were enhanced by co-culture of the peritoneal macrophages of GL-administered mice and L1210 cells in vitro, and was inhibited by L-NMMA. These results suggest that the apoptosis of transplanted-Ll2lO cells is partly induced by nitric oxide produced from peritoneal macrophages in GL-administered mice.

The purpose of this research was to study the origins and the meanings of the Kokal (고깔). Comparative linguistic analytical approaches were employed to trace the development of the word, the Kokal(고깔). Results of this study revealed that the kotkal(곳갈, 곧갈) was a general term referring to a variety of head coverings in eh period of Choson Dynasty. This broad meanings of the Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) of the Chosun Dynasty period has been changed to a narrow sense meanings a conical cap made of folds of the material, mainly used by some of the Buddhist monks in modern Korean. Also, the phonetic value of the Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) of the Choson Dynasty period changed to the Kokal(고깔) in modern Korean. A variety of words for the Kokal(고깔) was found in the different languages such as Latin, English, French, Turkish, German, Mongolian, and Chinese. The examination and analysis of this study indicated that the origin of the Korean word Kotkal(곳갈,곧갈) or Kokal(고깔) and the meanings of it were derived from LL. Cuculla(monk's cowl)

To know the physical housing needs for the small/medium size apartments at 'Harea' in Ulsan, we took account ① which plans they prefer in the small/medium size apartments of 2 or 3 rooms, ②how to link the inner spaces, ③which optional setups are require, ④which finishing material. furniture.color they want and ⑤ which community facilities are necessary, and analysed the factors influencing above five. The result is that the residents showed no regional distiction on the plan preference and the linkage of inner spaces, but required the double entrance doors, bathroom setups reallocated and residents' common facilities.

The primary purpose of this extensive test effort was to observe real-time operational performance characteristics associated with automotive grade fuel utilized by piston engine powered light aviation aircraft. In fulfillment of this effort, baseline engine operations were established with 100LL aviation grade fuel followed by four blends of automotive grade fuel. A comprehensive sea-level-static test cell/flight test data collection and evaluation effort were conducted to review operational characteristics of a carbureted light aircraft piston engine as related to fuel volatility, fuel temperature, and fuel system pressure. Presented herein are results, data, and conclusions drawn from test cell engine operation as well as flight test operation on 100LL aviation grade and four blends of automotive grade fuel.

This paper aimed at analyzing of structural carpentry terminology for bracket structure in Yingzaofashi ${\ll}$營造法式${\gg}$in the era of Song Dynasty and illuminating coinage characteristics and method of Structural Carpentry Terminology for bracket Structure through graphonomy research and system and structure of these terms. The results are as follow. The structural carpentry terminologies for structure were identified to be approximately 23 words, and terminology of bracket structure鋪作 is largely categorized into 3 categories of Type鋪作次序, Structure, Place. On the other hand, the structural carpentry terminologies for parts largely categorized into 2 categories of Bracket structure鋪作, Others. Bracket structure terminologies for parts were derived from the core of Dou枓, Gong栱, Ang昂, Fang方. The phenomena of derivation in structural carpentry terminology for bracket structure can be explained by the difference in the shape of subsidiary material and the location for usage of the subsidiary material and part of the subsidiary material and their functions.

Under Chinese law system, the maritime law is a special branch of the civil law. For this reason, the maritime litigation shall be governed correspondently by the civil prodecure law. However, since the maritime litigation has its own special prodecure which is different from that of general procedure, there must be some special regulations to be a supplement to the civil procedure law. In this paper, a study is made on such regulations which are "The Regulations Relating to the arrest of Ships Before Litigation" and "The Regulations Concerning the Auction of Ships Which Have Been Arrested by Maritime Court for Clearing off the Debts" The aim of this paper is to describe the basic principles established in the regulations mentioned above in order to make the people who are unfamiliar with Chinese maritime legislation to be understood about Chinese special procedure adopted in maritime litigation.maritime litigation.

In order to investigate the influence of manufacturing process on the electrical properties, we used two kinds of low density polyethylene prepared using metallocene catalyst (mL), linear low density polyethylene prepared using Ziegler catalyst (LL) and low density polyethylene by high pressure process (LD). mL has the narrowest composition and molecular weight distributions. We measured the dc and impulse breakdown strengths and current densities at 3$0^{\circ}C$, 6$0^{\circ}C$ and 9$0^{\circ}C$. mL had a higher breakdown strength and a lower high-field current than LD and LL. These results were discussed from the point of manufacturing processes.

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept and experience of the elder mistreatment among the elderly. To achieve the purpose of this study, data were collected from 160 elders with family members through questionnaires. The major finding is that the concept on elder mistreatment of the old people is found for the most part psycological abuse or neglect. And, when the degree of family support about the elderly is high, the experience of the elder mistreament appears low. Therefore, family support may be higher to prevent elder mistreatment. Also, social support in the side economical, physical or emotional services may help to bring down the elder's disability contributing to the elder mistreatment.

In vitro experiments were conducted to evaluate the suitability of several mixtures of high tanniniferous non legumes with low tanniniferous legumes on in vitro gas production (IVGP), dry matter degradation, Ammonia-N, methane production and microbial population. Eight treatments were examined in a randomized complete block design using four non-legumes and two legumes (Carallia integerrima${\times}$Leucaena leucocephala (LL) (Trt 1), C. integerrima${\times}$Gliricidia sepium (GS) (Trt 2), Aporosa lindeliyana${\times}$LL (Trt 3), A. lindeliyana${\times}$GS (Trt 4), Ceiba perntandra${\times}$LL (Trt 5), C. perntandra${\times}$GS (Trt 6), Artocarpus heterophyllus${\times}$LL (Trt 7), A. heterophyllus${\times}$GS (Trt 8). The condensed tannin (CT) content of non legumes ranged from 6.2% (Carallia integerrima) to 4.9% (Ceiba perntandra) while the CT of legumes were 1.58% (Leucaena leucocephala) and 0.78% (Gliricidia sepium). Forage mixtures contained more than 14% of crude protein (CP) while the CT content ranged from 2.8% to 4.0% respectively. Differences (p<0.05) were observed in in vitro gas production (IGVP) within treatments over a 48 h period dominated by C. perntandra${\times}$G. sepium (Trt 6). The net gas production (p<0.05) was also high with Trt6 followed by A. heterophyllus${\times}$L. leucocephala (Trt 7) and A. heterophyllus${\times}$G. sepium (Trt 8). Highest (p>0.05) NH3-N (ml/200 mg DM) production was observed with the A. heterophyllus${\times}$G. sepium (Trt 8) mixture which may be attributed with it's highest CP content. The correlation between IVGP and CT was 0.675 while IVGP and CP was 0.610. In vitro dry matter degradation (IVDMD) was highest in Trt 8 as well. Methane production ranged from 2.57 to 4.79 (ml/200 mg DM) to be synonimous with IVGP. A higher bacteria population (p<0.05) was found in C. perntandra${\times}$G. sepium (Trt 6) followed by Artocarpus heterophyllus+G. sepium (Trt 8) and the same trend was observed with the protozoa population as well. The results show that supplementing high tannin non leguminous forages by incremental substitution of legume forage increased gas production parameters, NH3-N, IVDMD and microbial population in the fermentation liquid. Methane production was not significantly affected by the presence of CT or different levels of CP in forage mixtures. Among non legumes, Ceiba perntandra and Artocarpus heterophyllus performed better in mixture with L. leucocephala and G. sepium.
