전기 자동차 가상 플랫폼용 배터리 모델 개발 및 검증 (Development of a Battery Model for Electric Vehicle Virtual Platform)

  • In this paper, a battery model for electric vehicle virtual platform was developed. A battery model consisted of a battery cell model and battery thermal management system. A battery cell model was developed based on Randles equivalent circuit model. Circuit parameters in the form of 3D map data was obtained by charge-discharge experiment of Li-Polymer battery in various temperature condition. The developed battery cell model was experimentally verified by comparing voltages. Thermal management system model was also developed using heat generator, heat transfer and convection model, and cooling fan. For verification of the developed battery model in vehicle level, the integrated battery model was applied in to EV(electric vehicle) virtual platform, and virtual driving simulation using UDDS velocity profile was conducted. The accuracy of the developed battery model has been verified by comparing the simulation results from EV platform with the experimental data.

3차원 생물체 가시화 모델 구축장치 개발 및 성능평가 (Development and Evaluation of System for 3D Visualization Model of Biological Objects)

  • Nondestructive methods such as ultrasonic and magnetic resonance imaging systems have many advantages but still much expensive. And they do not give exact color information and may miss some details. If it is allowed to destruct a biological object to obtain interior and exterior informations, 3D image visualization model from a series of sliced sectional images gives more useful information with relatively low cost. In this paper, a PC based automatic 3D visualization system is presented. The system is composed of three modules. The first module is the handling and image acquisition module. The handling module feeds and slices a cylindrical shape paraffin, which holds a biological object inside the paraffin. And the paraffin is kept being solid by cooling while being handled. The image acquisition modulo captures the sectional image of the object merged into the paraffin consecutively. The second one is the system control and interface module, which controls actuators for feeding, slicing, and image capturing. And the last one is the image processing and visualization module, which processes a series of acquired sectional images and generates a 3D volumetric model. To verify the condition for the uniform slicing, normal directional forces of the cutting edge according to the various cutting angles were measured using a strain gauge and the amount of the sliced chips were weighed and analyzed. Once the 3D model was constructed on the computer, user could manipulate it with various transformation methods such as translation, rotation, and scaling including arbitrary sectional view.

대형트럭에서의 판스프링의 구조해석에 관한 융합 연구 (A Convergent Investigation on the Structural Analysis of Leaf Spring at Large Truck)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형트럭의 판스프링의 개수에 대한 구조 해석을 수행하였다. 변형량은 4가지 모델들이 공히 작게 나왔다. Model A의 응력이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고 Model D의 응력이 가장 작은 것으로 나타났다. Model A의 최대 응력이 Model D에 비하여 약 1.87배로 크게 나왔고 Model B에 비하여 약 1.52배 정도로 크게 나타났다. Model C와 Model D의 최대응력은 적게 나왔다. Model D가 Model C에 비하여 겹판 스프링을 한 개 더 보강한 효과로 보면 그 강도의 향상의 효과는 작게 나타났다. 따라서 겹판 스프링 3개인 Model C가 설계상 효율적이고 강도면에서도 좋다고 사료된다. 본 연구 결과를 대형트럭에서의 판스프링에 적용함으로서 판스프링의 구조 강도를 평가할 수 있고 그리고 그 결과가 대형트럭에서의 내구성이 있는 판스프링의 설계와 미적인 융합이 될 수 있다고 보인다.

전 방향 이미지와 디지털 맵을 활용한 3차원 실사 도시모델 생성 기법 연구 (A Study on the Photo-realistic 3D City Modeling Using the Omnidirectional Image and Digital Maps)

  • 3D city model, which consisted of the 3D building models and their geospatial position and orientation, is becoming a valuable resource in virtual reality, navigation systems, civil engineering, etc. The purpose of this research is to propose the new framework to generate the 3D city model that satisfies visual and physical requirements in ground oriented simulation system. At the same time, the framework should meet the demand of the automatic creation and cost-effectiveness, which facilitates the usability of the proposed approach. To do that, I suggest the framework that leverages the mobile mapping system which automatically gathers high resolution images and supplement sensor information like position and direction of the image. And to resolve the problem from the sensor noise and a large number of the occlusions, the fusion of digital map data will be used. This paper describes the overall framework with major process and the recommended or demanded techniques for each processing step.

A 1D model considering the combined effect of strain-rate and temperature for soft soil

  • Strain-rate and temperature have significant effects on the one-dimensional (1D) compression behavior of soils. This paper focuses on the bonding degradation effect of soil structure on the time and temperature dependent behavior of soft structured clay. The strain-rate and temperature dependency of preconsolidation pressure are investigated in double logarithm plane and a thermal viscoplastic model considering the combined effect of strain-rate and temperature is developed to describe the mechanical behavior of unstructured clay. By incorporating the bonding degradation, the model is extended that can be suitable for structured clay. The extended model is used to simulate CRS (Constant Rate of Strain) tests conducted on structural Berthierville clay with different strain-rates and temperatures. The comparisons between predicted and experimental results show that the extended model can reasonably describe the effect of bonding degradation on the stain-rate and temperature dependent behavior of soft structural clay under 1D condition. Although the model is proposed for 1D analysis, it can be a good base for developing a more general 3D model.

  • Potential fuel economy improvements and environmental legislation have renewed interest in Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines. Computational models of fuel injection and mixing processes pre-ignition are being developed for engine optimisation. These highly transient thermofluid models require verification against temporally and spatially resolved data-sets. The authors have previously established the capability of PDA to provide suitable temporally and spatially resolved spray characteristics such as mean droplet size, velocity components and qualitative mass distribution. This paper utilises this data-set to assess the predictive capability of a numerical model for GDI spray prediction. After a brief description of the two-phase model and discretisation sensitivity, the influence of initial spray conditions is discussed. A minimum of 5 initial global spray characteristics are required to model the downstream spray characteristics adequately under isothermal, atmospheric conditions. Verification of predicted transient spray characteristics such as the hollow-cone, cone collapse, head vortex, stratification and penetration are discussed, and further improvements to modelling GDI sprays proposed.

지게차 변속제어밸브의 모델링 및 성능 검증 (Modeling and Performance Investigation of Forklift Transmission Control Valve System)

  • In forklifts, the machine performance is largely depended on the transmission performance. The aim of this paper is to develop a complete model of transmission control valve (TMV) system of a typical forklift using AMESim simulation tool. By using the developed TMV model, it becomes easy to investigate the system concept, working principle, and performance. In addition, an optimization on the TMV structure can be achieved by using this model with tunable parameters. Simulations have been carried out in a comparison with the actual experiments to verify the model.

  • The neutral valve for controlling the HST is one of the important valves for the vehicle control. Neutral valve takes a role of blocking or transmitting power to the vehicle. The operating principle of the neutral valve was developed through the analysis model. We also investigated the logical validity by analyzing the results of the analysis model. The analysis model was developed by using SimulationX witch is commercial software. The number of holes in the piston was selected as a variable initial compression of the spring, and the magnitude of the pressure pulsations and the diameter of the orifice for the sensitivity analysis were performed to design sensitivity analysis of the neutral valve.

압축성을 고려한 사출성형 충전과정에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Filling in Injection Molding with Compressibility)

  • In this study, the compressibility of resin was considered in filling analysis to account for the possible packing type flow. A numerical simulation program employing a hybrid finite element/finite difference scheme was developed to solve Hele-Shaw flow of the compressible viscous fluid at non-isothermal conditions. To advance the melt front, a control volume approach was adopted. Thin complex 3-D shapes of cavities, runners, and sprues were discretized by employing triangular, cylindrical and/or rectangular strip elements. Mass conservation was applied to each control volume to solve for the pressure distribution. Directly applying a constant mass flow rate at the inlet removes calculation of the apparent pressure boundary conditions, resulting in better simulation condition. The Cross model was used to model viscosity and the Tait equation was employed to represent density as a function of temperature and pressure. The validity of the developed program was verified through comparisons with available data in the literature and the effect of compressibility on the pressure distribution was discussed. To reduce computation time, 1-D and 2-D elements were used instead of applying triangular elements and the numerical results were compared to each other.

종이컵 성형기용 배럴 캠 설계 프로그램 개발 (Development of Program for Designing Barrel Cam of Machine Making Paper Cups)

  • 종이컵 성형기는 배럴캠, 인덱스, 터렛, 모터 등의 많은 부품으로 이루어진다. 그 중에서 배럴캠은 기계의 주 구동부이다. 배럴캠이 회전하면서 인덱스에 고정되어 있는 롤러를 밀어준다. 그리고 인덱스와 연결된 터렛이 회전하면서 종이컵이 만들어진다. 따라서 종이컵 성형기의 성능은 배럴캠에 큰 영향을 받는다. 이번 연구에서는 배럴캠을 설계하는 프로그램이 MATLAB 을 이용하여 개발 되었다. 프로그램은 배럴캠의 프로파일을 만들어준다. 이 프로파일은 3 차원 CAD 프로그램을 이용 하여 3 차원 CAD 모델로 변환된다. 이 3 차원 CAD 모델과 배럴 캠의 3 차원 레이저 측정을 통해 생성된 모델을 포함하는 동역학 모델을 생성하였다. 그리고 동역학 모델을 검증하기 위해 기계의 인덱스의 회전각이 고속카메라를 이용하여 측정된다. 동역학 모델의 회전각을 비교하여 프로그램을 검증한다.
