  • This study attempted to extract and structure the job skills required for 3D designers, which have been recently introduced to the fashion industry. The study aimed to materialize and objectify the 3D designer's job, using a focus group interview for the survey. The 3D designer has the TD task of making 3D virtual samples using the pattern files developed in Pattern CAD. Graphic design and fabric digitization are also major tasks for the 3D designer. CLO is mainly used for 3D virtual sample production, and PixPlant, Substance, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Daz studio, and 3ds MAX are used for image and avatar editing. As per the job skills required for 3D design work, basic knowledge about patterns and sewing, skill in 3D virtual clothing technology, ability to use various software, and English skills were considered important, in that order. In particular, the need for knowledge about patterns and sewing became more important than the skill in 3D virtual clothing technology itself. To train 3D designers, it was found that not only 3D virtual clothing software, but also education on patterns and clothing construction, CAD developer's curriculum certification system, and 3D designer qualification management were required. In addition, 3D designers are recognized as an essential job in fashion vendors, and the demand for domestic brands is increasing. The biggest limitation of the 3D virtual clothing system is the perfection of the digital fabric. Also, technical improvement is needed.

  • A CAD/CAM system has been developed for rapid prototyping (RP) of microfluidic devices based on excimer laser micromachining. The system comprises of two complementary softwares. One, the CAM tool, creates part programs from CAD models. The other, the Simulator Tool, uses a part program to generate the laser tool path and the 2D and 3D graphical representation of the machined microstructure. The CAM tool's algorithms use the 3D geometry of a microstructure, defined as an STL file exported from a CAD system, and process parameters (laser fluence, pulse repetition frequency, number of shots per area, wall angle), to automatically generate Numerical Control (NC) part programs for the machine controller. The performance of the system has been verified and demonstrated by machining a particle transportation device. The CAM tool simplifies part programming and replaces the tedious trial-and-error approach to creating programs. The simulator tool accepts manual or computer generated part programs, and displays the tool path and the machined structure. This enables error checking and editing of the program before machining, and development of programs for complex microstructures. Combined, the tools provide a user-friendly CAD/CAM system environment for rapid prototyping of microfluidic devices.

  • As the LED or LCD technology has been developed, if we use LED or LCD pannel, more wide color range coluld be obtained as CRT monitor. Specially, full color LED display is developed by high brightness blue LED. It can be applicable to display pannel with a long-life, wide visible angle and high brightness. A display pannel shows the images of CRT monitor performed by the main computer. Graphic application in the main computer is therefore more important in the market. Conventional 3D STUDIO, one of graphic softwares, has difficulties in manipulating and understanding the specific terminology so that one may need more time to learn it. We, therefore, developed graphic application which can recycle the conventional 3D images by creating or editing the image easily.

  • The technology and concept of multimedia expands with the rapid growth of Digital technology. Digital broadcasting has already begun and movie industry is also switching the way of visualization from analog to digital. Image compositing is the core of the computer graphics related multimedia technology. Currently, various computer graphic technologies are being developed. Nevertheless, image compositing are being done manually because of not only the expensiveness image compositing equipments, but also the lack of experts in this area. This paper present a new image compositing technique for 3-Dimensional graphics and digital sources. A 2-Dimensional subject which will be used as a background was expanded into a 3-Dimensional by using the tracking technique. Thereafter, Effective image compositing has been obtained by precisely cooperating digital source images and 3-Dimensional model using 3-Dimensional graphics editing tool.

  • Objective: In the livestock industry, the regulatory mechanisms of muscle proliferation and differentiation can be applied to improve traits such as growth and meat production. We investigated the regulatory pathway of MyoD and its role in muscle differentiation in quail myoblast cells. Methods: The MyoD gene was mutated by the clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/Cas9 technology and single cell-derived MyoD mutant sublines were identified to investigate the global regulatory mechanism responsible for muscle differentiation. Results: The mutation efficiency was 73.3% in the mixed population, and from this population we were able to establish two QM7 MyoD knockout subline (MyoD KO QM7#4) through single cell pick-up and expansion. In the undifferentiated condition, paired box 7 expression in MyoD KO QM7#4 cells was not significantly different from regular QM7 (rQM7) cells. During differentiation, however, myotube formation was dramatically repressed in MyoD KO QM7#4 cells. Moreover, myogenic differentiation-specific transcripts and proteins were not expressed in MyoD KO QM7#4 cells even after an extended differentiation period. These results indicate that MyoD is critical for muscle differentiation. Furthermore, we analyzed the global regulatory interactions by RNA sequencing during muscle differentiation. Conclusion: With CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genomic editing, single cell-derived sublines with a specific knockout gene can be adapted to various aspects of basic research as well as in functional genomics studies.

  • Image stacking technique is one of the key techniques for complex surface reconstruction. The process includes sample collection, image processing, algorithm editing, surface reconstruction, and finally reaching reliable conclusions. Since this experiment is based on laser scanning confocal microscope to collect the original contour information of the sample, it is necessary to briefly introduce the relevant principle and operation method of laser scanning confocal microscope. After that, the original image is collected and processed, and the data is expanded by interpolation method. Meanwhile, several methods of surface reconstruction are listed. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of each method, one-dimensional interpolation and volume rendering are finally used to reconstruct the 3D model. The experimental results show that the final 3d surface modeling is more consistent with the appearance information of the original samples. At the same time, the algorithm is simple and easy to understand, strong operability, and can meet the requirements of surface reconstruction of different types of samples.

  • Single-molecular guide RNA (sgRNA) plays a role in recognizing the DNA target sequence in CRISPR technology for genome editing and gene expression control. In this study, we systematically compared the length of the target recognition sequence in sgRNAs required for genome editing using Cas9-NG (an engineered Cas9 recognizing 5'-NG as PAM sequence) and gene expression control using deactivated Cas9-NG (dCas9-NG) by targeting the gal promoter in E. coli. In the case of genome editing, the truncation of three nucleotides in the target recognition sequence (TRS) of sgRNA was allowed. In gene expression regulation, we observed that target recognition and binding were possible even if eleven nucleotides were deleted from twenty nucleotides of the TRS. When 4 or more nucleotides are truncated in the TRS of the sgRNA, it is thought that the sgRNA/Cas9-NG complex can specifically bind to the target DNA sequence, but lacks endonuclease activity to perform genome editing. Our study will be helpful in the development of artificial transcription factors and various CRISPR technologies in the field of synthetic biology.

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time temporal synchronization and compensation algorithm in stereoscopic video. Many temporal asynchronies are caused in the video editing stage and due to different transmission delays. These temporal asynchronies can degrade the perceived 3D quality. The goal of temporal alignment is to detect and to measure the temporal asynchrony and recover synchronization of the two video streams. In order to recover synchronization of the two video streams, we developed a method to detect asynchronies between the left and the right video streams based on a novel spatiogram information, which is a richer representation, capturing not only the values of the pixels but their spatial relationships as well. The proposed novel spatiogram additionally includes the changes of the spatial color distribution. Furthermore, we propose a block-based method for detection of the pair frame instead of one frame-based method. Various 3D experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • The reverberation effect on the sound when producing movies or VR contents is a very important factor in the realism and liveliness. The reverberation time depending the space is recommended in a standard called RT60(Reverberation Time 60 dB). In this paper, we propose a scene recognition technique for automatic reverberation editing. To this end, we devised a classification model that independently trains color images and predicted depth images in the same model. Indoor scene classification is limited only by training color information because of the similarity of internal structure. Deep learning based depth information extraction technology is used to use spatial depth information. Based on RT60, 10 scene classes were constructed and model training and evaluation were conducted. Finally, the proposed SCR + DNet (Scene Classification for Reverb + Depth Net) classifier achieves higher performance than conventional CNN classifiers with 92.4% accuracy.
