  • The color space transformation to link device-dependent color spaces and device-independent color spaces is essential for device characterization and cross-media color reproduction. There are various color conversion methods such as regression, 3D interpolation with LUT(look-up table), and neural network. In the color transformation with these methods, the conversion accuracy is essentially based on the sample data to be exploited for device characterization. In conventional method, color samples are uniformly selected in device-dependent space such as CMY and RGB. However, distribution of these color samples is very non-uniform in device-independent color space such as CIEL*a*b*. Accordingly, the conversion error in device-independent color space is irregular according to the distribution of the samples. In this paper, a color sampling method based on equi-visual perception is proposed to obtain approximate uniform color samples in CIEL*a*b* space. In order to evaluate transformation accuracy of proposed method, color space transformations are simulated using regression, 3D interpolation with LUT and neural network techniques, respectively.

Enhancement of electrical characteristics and reliability of CuGeS2/GeS2-based super-linear-threshold-switching device by insertion of TiN liner

  • For preventing a sneak current in the 3D cross-point array, the selection device is essentially necessary and an n-MOSFET has been used for the selection device. However, the three-terminal electrodes of n-MOSFET make to achieve a high density of a cross-point array difficult. As a solution, using a selector having two terminal electrodes has been intensively researched. We presented that the CuGeS2/GeS2-based super-linear-threshold-switching (SLTS) selector device with the insertion of optimal TiN liner thickness exhibited outstanding electrical characteristics and reliability. The dependency of electrical characteristics and reliability on various TiN liner thicknesses were investigated. In addition, the principles of reliability and electrical characteristics improvement were understood through the energy dispersive spectroscopy elemental mapping and line profile of Cu. The adequate amount of Cu distributed in GeS2 resistive switching layer is a key factor to achieve excellent electrical characteristics and reliability for an ultra-high-density 3D cross-point array cell.

Service Identification of Internet-Connected Devices Based on Common Platform Enumeration

  • There are a great number of Internet-connected devices and their information can be acquired through an Internet-wide scanning tool. By associating device information with publicly known security vulnerabilities, security experts are able to determine whether a particular device is vulnerable. Currently, the identification of the device information and its related vulnerabilities is manually carried out. It is necessary to automate the process to identify a huge number of Internet-connected devices in order to analyze more than one hundred thousand security vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose a method of automatically generating device information in the Common Platform Enumeration (CPE) format from banner text to discover potentially weak devices having the Common Vulnerabilities Exposures (CVE) vulnerability. We demonstrated that our proposed method can distinguish as much adequate CPE information as possible in the service banner.

  • We have investigated the effect of hole-injection buffer layer and cathodes in organic light-emitting diodes u sing poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) : poly (stylenesulfonate) (PEDOT: PSS) in a device structure of $ITO/PEDOT:PSS/TPD/Alq_3/Cathode$. Polymer PEDOT:PSS buffer layer was made using spin casting method. Current-voltage, luminance-voltage characteristics and efficiency of device were measured at room temperature with a variation of cathode materials. The device with LiF/Al cathode shows an improvement of external quantum efficiency approximately by a factor of ten compared to that of Al cathode only device. Our observation shows that the energy barrier-height in cathode side is important in improving the efficiency of the organic light-emitting diodes.

  • Mobile communication technology is advancing forward to deliver more connected devices and richer content and applications. The number of subscriptions continues to grow along with an explosive increase in the mobile data traffic demand. Thereby, it creates a significant network capacity shortage concerns for mobile network operators. In order to address this problem, it is essential to increase the network capacity at a low additional cost. The device-to-device (D2D) communication based proximity service is believed to have a promising future mobile communication technology that is capable to create new mobile service opportunities and offload traffic to the eNB. In addition, it is also required to develop new mobile communication services and its business models not only to accommodate the increasing mobile traffic demand but also to foster profitability of mobile business service providers such as the network providers, contents providers and platform providers. In this article, we first analyze current mobile business eco-system in the context of CPNT based value chain. Then, propose service development framework and business model creation methodologies for the device-to-device communication based services in the beyond LTE/LTE-Advanced systems.

  • LTE D2D는 근접한 단말끼리의 직접적인 정보 교환을 통해 셀룰러 시스템의 데이터 트래픽 부하를 해결하는 핵심 기술이다. 특히 D2D 디스커버리는 LTE D2D를 위한 첫 단계로서 단말이 각자의 상태 정보를 주변 단말에게 브로드캐스트 하여 자신을 알리는 과정이다. 디스커버리 메시지 전송의 안정성을 평가하기 위해 시뮬레이션 기반의 성능 평가가 수행되었지만, 한정적인 상황에서 이루어진 경우가 많아 본 논문에서는 일반적인 환경에서 이를 평가할 수 있는 수학적 분석을 제안한다. 제안하는 분석은 확률 기하 이론을 바탕으로 수행되며, 자원 충돌과 인밴드 방사에 의한 간섭의 효과를 모두 고려한다. 우리는 디스커버리 메시지의 수신 성공 확률을 송수신 단말 간의 거리의 함수로 유도하고, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안하는 분석의 정확도를 확인한다.

  • 오늘날 의료기기의 국산화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 가운데 본 연구에서는 적추용 fusion device를 새롭게 개발하고자 시도하였다. 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 삽입형과 나사형을 기본 대상으로 하되 수술 시 뼈를 보다 적게 제거하여 삽입할 수 있게 하는 데 .) 주안점을 두고 형상 개발을 시도하였다. 아직 그 실효성을 논하기는 어려우나 고안된 척추용 fusion device의 형상을 중심으로 소개하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 경첩형과 분리삽입형을 고안하게 되었다. 그러나 경첩형은 기존 형상의 절반 크기로 삽입되는 장점은 있으나 핀의 강도해석과 안정된 잠금 장치의 개발에 더 연구가 요구되어 일단 본 연구에서는 분리삽입형을 중심으로 시제품과 3차인 유한요소 모델을 제작하여 그 역학적 해석을 행하였다. 그 결과 척추에 작용하는 기본 하중에 대한 역학적 안전성은 인정되나 아직 실용화되기까지는 보조 수술장비의 개발이 필요하다고 사료된다.

3D 비접촉 인식을 이용한 냉연코일 테이프부착 로봇 개발 (Development of Smart Tape Attachment Robot in the Cold Rolled Coil with 3D Non-Contact Recognition)

  • Recently taping robot with smart recognition function have been studied in the coil manufacturing field. Due to the difficulty of 3D surface processing from the complicated working environment, it is not easy to accomplish smart tape attachment motion with non-contact sensor. To solve these problems the applicable surface recognition algorithm and a flexible sensing device has been recommended. In this research, the fusion method between 1D displacement and 3D laser scanner is applied for robust tape attachment about cold rolled coil. With these sensors we develop a two-step exploration and the smart algorithm for the awareness of non-aligned coil's information. In the proposed robot system for tape attachment, the problem is reduced to coil's radius searching with laser displacement sensor at first, and then position and orientation detection with 3D laser scanner. To get the movement at the robot's base frame, the hand-eye compensation between robot's end effector and sensing device should be also carried out respectively. In this paper, we examine the auto-coordinate transformation method in the calibration step for the real environment usage. From the experimental results, it was shown that the taping motion of robot had a robust under the non-aligned cold rolled coil.

3차원 정상상태의 드리프트-확산 방정식의 해석 프로그램 개발 (A development of the 3-dimensional stationary drift-diffusion equation solver)

  • The device simulator (BANDIS) which can analyze efficiently the electrical characteristics of the semiconductor devices under the three dimensional stationary conditions on the IBM PC was developed. Poisson, electon and hole continuity equations are discretized y te galerkin method using a tetrahedron as af finite element. The frontal solver which has exquisite data structures and advanced input/output functions is dused for the matrix solver which needs the highest cost in the three dimensional device simulation. The discretization method of the continuity equations used in BANDIS are compared with that of the scharfetter-gummel method used in the commercial three-dimensional device. To verify an accuracy and the efficiency of the discretization method, the simulation results of the PN junction diode and the BJT from BANDIS are compared with those of the commercial three-dimensiional device simulator such as DAVINCI. The maximum relative error within 2% and the average number of iterations needed for the convergence is decreased by more than 20%. The total simulation time of the BJT with 25542 nodes is decreased to about 60% compared with that of DAVINCI.

  • 임베디드 시스템과 같은 제한된 하드웨어에서 3차원 그래픽 기반의 응용 프로그램을 구동하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 그러한 시스템은 그래픽 가속 모듈을 구동하여 다양한 그래픽 기능을 처리할 수 있는 체계적인 3차원 그래픽 처리 구조가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템을 위한 공개 소스 그래픽 윈도우 환경인 Tiny X 체계에서 3차원 그래픽 가속 장치 구동기를 구현하는 방법을 상세히 제시한다. 제안한 방법은 가속장치 구동기를 단계적으로 초기화하여 직접 렌더링 구조가 이를 적절하게 활용할 수 있도록 한다. 아울러, 3차원 그래픽 처리 성능을 효율적으로 평가할 수 있는 간단한 프로그램을 통하여 구현된 가속 장치 구동기에 대하여 적용하여 그 유용성을 확인하였다.
