Knit Design Using 3D Virtual Clothing Simulation Program of Knit CAD System (니트 CAD시스템의 3D 가상착의 프로그램을 활용한 니트디자인)

  • Recently, the fashion industry has been integrating with The IT industry in order to develop in various ways. This study looks into ways to utilize the 3D CAD system, which would reduce time and cost while producing samples, and strengthen the communication between the brand and its cooperators by deploying knit designs using Knit CAD system's 3D virtual clothing program. The research method was reference, Internet resources 3D fashion CAD system and 3D Knit CAD system. Based on the data, simulation of the complete design of 4 deployed knit designs was done by using 3D virtual clothing program of the Knit CAD system utilizing knit design elements. One of each design element among the virtual clothing designs was chosen to produce real clothing, and the experts did verification on the appearance assessment of 3D virtual clothing knit designs of the Knit CAD system. As a result, 3D virtual clothing knit design of the Knit CAD system proved itself as an efficient system in terms of time and cost.

  • As promotion of the 3D printer supply policy, need for 3D printer education is emphasized. But it is few that study of 3D printing educational program teachers can utilize at school. Especially study of CAD SW is very urgent because most of the CAD SW for 3D modeling is difficult and expensive. So in this study, we examine the CAD SW for educational purposes and propose educational programs that can be used at primary school. The instructional model is called "MDIAP" which consists of five stages : Motivation, Demonstration, Imitation, Application, Presentation. Instructional process is consisted of performing tasks and projects. We expect to enhance the function of 3D modeling and creative thinking which is essential to the Fourth Industrial Revolution society.

  • We describes the process of 3D virtual treatment planning and of CAD/CAM for surgical splint in orthognathic surgery. The potential benefits and disadvantages of 3D virtual approach and the use of CAD/CAM system for the treatment of the patient with a maxillofacial deformity are discussed. For the more convenient applications,3D software should be improved.

  • CAD/CAM system may have such advantages of cost reduction, production time shortening, and product quality improvement. But current advanced versions of CAD/CAM system for 3-D NC data generation are too much expensive to purchase and too difficult to make full use for small-scale manufacturers whose main products are of 2-D simple shapes. The objective of this paper is to introduce a cost-effective way to 2-D NC data generation with a widely spread CAD software. Using VISUAL LISP in the well-known AUTO-CAD, the contents and steps of an automatic NC data generation program are presented for 2-D machining of contours and pockets. To approve the usefulness of program, a test application to a real part is exhibited also.

  • Recently, with a progressive development of hardware of computer, the internet and network technology, the environment of construction varies rapidly due to increase the complex form in structure shape and system. With variations, the CAD system for design and products also varies from 2D system to 3D system. This study mainly deals with the methodology of automatic connection design of 3D CAD system, steel connection system (XSteel) using macro. First, using design program in the steel connection system, Xsteel, the joint connection macro will be made up and established the detail classes of design. The next, Database Program (Converter Program) related to the general structural analysis program (MIDAS) and the steel connection program (Xsteel) is constructed for data interface between two programs. From this study, if the merits of 3D CAD system and converter program are utilized well, it is expected that the time needed in modeling and the amounts due to material loses decrease gradually.

Andongpo Apparel Pattern Design Connected with the 3D Apparel CAD System (3D CAD System에 의한 안동포의류제품 패턴설계)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop Andongpo apparel pattern design connected with the Apparel CAD system. It includes pattern making, grading, marking program. In this study, it will be able to make apparel pattern quickly and accurately by using Apparel CAD system. The results were as following : Computerization of the pattern making process is expected to provide higher accuracy and efficiency in apparel pattern making for narrow and expensive Andongpo. ESMOD pattern making method was selected as basic pattern. Tailored jacket patterns were developed for Andongpo. Refer to and . The jacket patterns developed is automatically depicted by inputting consumer's body size. Tailored jacket patterns for Andongpo were marked by using marking program in Apparel CAD system. The efficiency of marking appeared of 70% or more in Andongpo jacket patterns. This results is showed it has an effect on narrow and expensive Andongpo. 3tailored jacket patterns will be able to make a simulation by 3D Apparel CAD system. The results of this study is expected to provide higher consumer's satisfaction and internet brand launching. In addition, encouraging majority of the young to participate in using CAD program for Andongpo is regarded as beneficial for the reinforcement of competitiveness of traditional clothing business.

A Comparative Analysis of the Different between CLO 3D Avatar Sizing and Actual Body Measurement Shapes (CLO 3D 아바타 사이징과 실제인체간의 치수 및 형태 차이 비교 분석)

  • This study aims to use the avatar sizing system of the 3D apparel CAD program instead of the existing 3D body scanners, and to commercialize 3D personal avatars. Towards these ends, the study examined a difference between a 3D avatar and actual body was determined to verify the 3D avatar sizing system. For the experiment, three subjects were selected, were measured as they were, and were made to undergo 3D body scanning and photographing. Then, using avatar sizing system on the 3D apparel CAD program, three types of virtual bodies, namely 3D avatars. The 3D avatar and actual body measurements were compared, and 3D avatars and 3D body-scanned shapes were likewise compared. As a result, the three types of actual bodies and their 3D avatars that were created based on the sizing system of the 3D apparel CAD program were overall similar. but, the thin body-YY type and the normal body-A type were different from their avatars. In the case of type B, who had a bulging abdomen, the 3D avatar was bigger than the actual body as measured. Also, in all body shapes, the girths around the chest, waist and abdomen were produced with exaggerated muscular amounts compared to their actual muscular amounts.

  • In order to improve in quality and productivity using the CNC machine tools, it has been endeavored to elevate production process by adding supplementary axes(2 axes) to 2,3 axial CNC machine tools. It is because the movement between the progress of work in processed goods is remarkably decreased more than that of general CNC machine tools that productivity improvement with precision maintenance can be improved. VBScript in CAD/CAM is applied to utilize CNC machine tools added supplementary axes so that Multi-axial &Multi-process manufacturin g program can be conveniently drawn up. However, there is generally much skilful work and operation by the manual program of CAD(2.5D) and CNC machine tools in the filed. As a result of conducting an experiment by COM-filing VBScript at the spot of Insert Tip for milling Face Cutter in CAD/CAM Software(2.5D), it was not only timesaving to draw up program but also more convenient than complicated Multi CAD/CAM Software to approach and possible to program various products instantaneously.

  • An algorithm and its computer program were developed for the computer aided automatic conversion from 2-D design drawing, which includes arbitrary curves, to a 3-D object, and the 3-D object obtained from the developed program was used to generate the tool path of NC milling machine. The algorithm and its computer program developed were applied to several real objects for their feasibility check and showed satisfactory results. Therefore, it was proved that the algorithm and its program developed can be applied to the CAM for the mechanical parts having arbitraily curved shapes by automatically generating its 3-D object. As a result of this study a basic theory for the integration of CAD/CAM was established which will prompt the improved quality and productivity.

  • In this study surface modeling .method with 3D curve net is proposed. For surface modeling, ship hull was divided into several parts, Generated surface was loaded general purpose CAD program through IGES file format, and the quality of generated surface model was checked by CATIA's internal function. Lastly it is tried to find a method for improving the accuracy of surface connection by using the blending method in CATIA and the result was discussed.
