The purpose of this study is to evaluate and analyse the characteristics and images of interior environment design in the living rooms, bed rooms and kitchen of the apartment, using the e-model houses of the apartments that will be constructed by 10 construction companies and be occupied after 2006. The 29 defined terms were used in this study to describe the interior image trend. They were systematized by a 5-point scale for the SD evaluation, and were used as a tool to analyse the images. The images were evaluated by methods, such as monitoring the image photos showing the individual rooms in their e-model houses and making their slide film, and reediting them to understand interior atmospheres completely. The image evaluation was performed by the group of 2nd and 3rd year students in the Housing & Interior Design of D University on December 9, 2005, and the data were analysed using SPSS Statistical Program 12.0 for Windows.
In this research, a tool was developed for the rapid performance of three-dimensional finite element analysis (3D FEA) of a machine tool spindle system made of a shaft and bearings. It runs the FEA with data, such as the bearing stiffness and the coordinates of the points, to define the section of the shaft, bearing positions, and cutting point. developed for the spindle system and then implemented with the tool using an object-oriented programing technique that allows the use of the objects of the CAD system used in this research. Graphic user interfaces were designed for a user to interact with the tool. It provides rapid evaluation of the design of a spindle system, and therefore, it would be helpful to identify a near optimal design of a spindle system based on, say, static stiffness with design changes and, consequently, FEA.
The directional ability of an automobile has an influence on driver directly, and hence it must be given most priority. Alignment factors of automobile such as the camber, caster and toe directly affect the directional ability of a vehicle. The above mentioned factors are determined by the pose of interlinks in the assembly of an automobile front chassis module. Measuring the position of center point of ball joints in the front lower arm is very difficult. A method to determine this position is suggested in this paper. Pose estimation for front chassis module and dimensional evaluation to find the rotational characteristics of front lower arm were developed based on fundamental geometric techniques. To interpret the inspection data obtained for front chassis module, 3-D best fit method is needed. The best fit method determines the relationship between the nominal design coordinate system and the corresponding feature coordinate system. The least squares method based on singular value decomposition is used in this paper.
We present the preliminary algorithms for automatic sleep scoring. According to the Rechtschaffen & Kales[3]'s critera, we developed six events detectors and eight parameters which contain the background information of signals, such as EEG, EMG, EOG. With the calculated parameters, we scored each epoch by IF-THEN rules, ANFIS for REM preiods, and finally Neural Network for unobvious epochs. The typical point of this algorithm is that the epoch which had good data sets were calculated in the first stage, and unobvious epochs were postponed until the final stage. After staging the good epochs, we classified unobvious epochs by the dominant stage of previous and posterior epochs.
The performances of side channel type regenerative blowers were evaluated by the blower performance test, 1-D performance prediction and CFD. The performance prediction method was modified using the results of the performance test and CFD and applied to the design of the new regenerative blowers. The major geometric parameters such as channel height, channel area and expansion angle were decided from the performance prediction method for the improved models and the predicted results were compared with CFD and experimental data. Both of the modified models showed improved efficiency at the operating condition. Especially, model3 could be possible to reduce operating rotating speed, that is benefit to noise performance, because of the high head performance at the design point. The CFD results showed that the performance of the regenerative blower was influenced by the secondary circulatory flow in the channel.
The recently those of various gatherings or events are gradually increasing not only at the general public performance hall but also at the outdoor performance hall. However, since the most of the domestic outdoor performance halls are being designed and executed without the proper consideration and care for Acoustic Characteristic thereat, a satisfying acoustic management are not established due to above reason. From this point of view, this study presents the basic data that will increase the sound performance in designing of the outdoor performance hall, by conducting the comparative analysis on the architectural sound characteristics through the field survey on to the 3 outdoor performance halls that have different characteristics, in order to present the appropriate standards.
The necessity of maritime sector for continuous management, accurate and update location information such as seabed shape and location, research on airborne LiDAR bathymetry surveying techniques are accelerating. Airborne LiDAR systems consist of a scanner and GPS/INS. The location accuracy of 3D point data obtained by a LiDAR system is determined by external orientation parameters. However, there are problems in the synchronization between sensors should be performed due to a variety of sensor combinations and arrangement. To solve this issue, system calibration should be conducted. Therefore, this study evaluates the system verification methods, processes, and operation techniques.
Recently low resistance of gate line or data line is required for large screen size TFT-LCD panels. As a result, lower resistance Al-alloy is currently reviewed extensively and the resistivity is required smaller than 10$\mu\Omega$cm. In this paper, Al-Nd and Al-Zr thin film were deposited on glass substrated by D.C. magnetron sputtering system under various condition. Its properties were characterized by SEM, AFM, XRD and 4-point-probe. The optimal condition was $120^{\circ}C$, 125W, 0.4Pa, 30sccm (Ar) and $350^{\circ}C$, 20min. annealing. At that condition the resistivity of Al-Zr(0.9%wt.) is about 4$\mu\Omega$cm.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the relations between class distracting factors and class satisfaction of the dental technology students and then provide a primary data to help further related studies and develop educational programs with which instructors can efficiently manage their classroom. Methods: For this study we have conducted a survey started from the beginning of May 2017 to the end of June. The subjects of the survey were Dental Technology students of D-city, K-city, W-city, selected by random sampling method. The questionnaire was self-administrated and 437 valid results were chosen for our analysis among 450 distributed questionnaires. Results: The results of the research was as follows. Firstly, The overall average point of class distracting factors was 2.5 point. The environmental factors were the highest point as 2.59 and as for the subcategories tiredness and drowsiness was the highest point as 2.76. Secondly, The overall average point of class satisfaction turned out 3,88 point and compliance with class and attitude factors gained the highest point as 4.06. Of the subcategories strict roll checking was the highest point as 4.17. Thirdly, As for class distracting factors from general characteristics a statistical significance was shown as follows; 'instructor factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender, 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01), 'learner factor'(p<.05), 'instructor factor'(p<.05) in the area of gender 'learner factor'(p<.001), 'instructor factor'(p<.001), 'environmental factor'(p<.001), 'total class distracting factor'(p<.01) in the area of class grade, 'environmental factor'(p<.05) in GPA. Fourthly, A statistical significance, a negative correlation (p<.01) were shown between class distracting factors and class satisfaction. Class distracting factor that especially affects the class satisfaction was instructor factor(p<.001) and the explanatory power of the model turned out 14.7%, which was statistically meaningful (p<.001). Conclusion : Results of this study reveal that instructor factor is the key to class satisfaction of the students. So it is crucial that the instructor faithfully prepare for the class to reinforce the students' learning. Additionally further studies should be followed with more subjects and newer perspectives to develop innovative teaching methodology.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in preference for terminal care between hospitalized patients and nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used in 79 patients and 107 nurses. The data were collected from August to October 2011, using the Preference for Care near the End of life Scale - Korean Version (PCEOL-K) with 5-point scale of 26 items. The reliability of the tool was Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.74$. Results: The mean score (SD) of PCEOL-K's sub-dimensions in nurses' priority was: (a) pain $3.70{\pm}0.63$, (b) spirituality $3.63{\pm}0.61$, (c) family $3.40{\pm}0.70$, (d) autonomous decision making $2.30{\pm}0.66$, and (e) decision making by healthcare professionals $2.14{\pm}0.64$. In patients' priority, the $M{\pm}SD$ score of each sub-dimension was: (a) pain $3.86{\pm}0.65$, (b) family $3.83{\pm}0.57$, (c) decision making by healthcare professionals $3.37{\pm}0.85$, (d) spirituality $3.01{\pm}0.80$, and (e) autonomous decision making $2.43{\pm}0.63$. Results indicated significant differences between nurses and patients regarding decision making by healthcare professionals (t=-11.28, p<.001), family (t=-4.66, p<.001), and spirituality (t=5.71, p<.001). Conclusion: The PCEOL-K of patients was higher than nurses'. A terminal care program for hospitalized patients at the end of life should be planned according to the results of PCEOL-K in nurses and patients.
