In this paper, we propose a new image analysis method based on regression manifold 3-D PCA. The proposed method is a new image analysis method consisting of a regression analysis algorithm with a structure designed based on an autoencoder capable of nonlinear expansion of manifold 3-D PCA and PCA for efficient dimension reduction when entering large-capacity image data. With the configuration of an autoencoder, a regression manifold 3-DPCA, which derives the best hyperplane through three-dimensional rotation of image pixel values, and a Bayesian rule structure similar to a deep learning structure, are applied. Experiments are performed to verify performance. The image is improved by utilizing the fine dust image, and accuracy performance evaluation is performed through the classification model. As a result, it can be confirmed that it is effective for deep learning performance.
Following the appearance of the latest medical equipment with improved function, the importance of image analysis which enables effective image processing and analysis consistent with the hardware performance is on the rise. As well as, ongoing study is being done on the 2D medical image processing and 3D reconstruction. This paper segments chest CT images into each stage and finally shows 3D reconstruction of each segmented result. Among various image segmentation methods, Region Growing and apply sharpening and Gamma Controller as for image improvement for effective segmentation, image segmentation in order of bronchus and lung, bronchus, lung. Human organs image of segmented is use VTK(Visualization Toolkit) to make 3D reconstruction, two and three-dimensional medical image processing and analysis for lesions diagnosis are able to utilized.
Purpose: This review focuses on the major 3-D image reconstruction techniques and their applications in plant and animal morphological analysis. Methods & Results: This paper begins with an overview of major 3-D image reconstruction techniques and their basic principles. Subsequently, their applications in plant and animal morphological analysis are reviewed. A discussion on the limitations and future research direction of 3-D imaging techniques for accurate, fast measurements and modeling of plant and animal morphological analysis follows. Conclusions: Owing to the increasing demand for plant and animal morphological analysis, the application of 3-D imaging techniques will increase in popularity among researchers and the agricultural industry.

In this paper we present 3D image analysis of liver and blood vessels using MDCT. The purpose is to enhance the performance of clinician in assessing anatomical information of liver and blood vessels. The system consists of two parts: 3D image reconstruction and analysis of the 3D liver and blood vessel image. The central vein of the liver is the most important blood vessel for the liver transplantation. We will find the central vein's location and characteristic, and will scheme out a computer assistant liver transplantation planning. It will be an effective tool for interventional radiology, surgical planning, and quantitative diagnosis.
Image resizing (or scaling) is one of the most essential issues for the success of visual service because image data has to be adapted to the variety of display features. For 2D imaging, the image scaling is generally accomplished by 2D image re-sampling (i.e., up-/down-sampling). However, when it comes to stereoscopic 3D images, 2D re-sampling methods are inadequate because additional consideration on the third dimension of depth is not incorporated. Practically, stereoscopic 3D image scaling is process with left/right images, not stereoscopic 3D image itself, because the left/right Images are only tangible data. In this paper, we analyze stereoscopic 3D image scaling from two aspects: geometrical deformation and frequency-domain aliasing. A number of 3D displays are available in the market and they have various screen dimensions. As we have more varieties of the displays, efficient stereoscopic 3D image scaling is becoming more emphasized. We present the recommendations for the 3D scaling from the geometric analysis and propose a disparity-adaptive filter for anti-aliasing which could occur during the image scaling process.

Frequency domain analysis is a fundamental procedure for understanding the characteristics of visual data. Several studies have been conducted with 2D videos, but analysis of stereoscopic 3D videos is rarely carried out. In this paper, we derive the Fourier transform of a simplified 3D video signal and analyze how a 3D video is influenced by disparity and motion in terms of temporal aliasing. It is already known that object motion affects temporal frequency characteristics of a time-varying image sequence. In our analysis, we show that a 3D video is influenced not only by motion but also by disparity. Based on this conclusion, we present a temporal anti-aliasing filter for a 3D video. Since the human process of depth perception mainly determines the quality of a reproduced 3D image, 2D image processing techniques are not directly applicable to 3D images. The analysis presented in this paper will be useful for reducing undesirable visual artifacts in 3D video as well as for assisting the development of relevant technologies.

Introduction: Accurate diagnosis and treatment planning are very important for orthognathic surgery. A small error in diagnosis can cause postoperative functional and esthetic problems. Pre-existing 2-dimensional (D) chephalogram analysis has a high likelihood of error due to its intrinsic and extrinsic problems. A cephalogram can also be inaccurate due to the limited anatomic points, superimposition of the image, and the considerable time and effort required. Recently, an improvement in technology and popularization of computed tomography (CT) provides patients with 3-D computer based cephalometric analysis, which complements traditional analysis in many ways. However, the results are affected by the experience and the subject of the investigator. Materials and Methods: The effects of the sources human error in 2-D cephalogram analysis and 3-D computerized tomography cephalometric analysis were compared using Simplant CMF program. From 2008 Jan to 2009 June, patients who had undergone CT, cephalo AP, lat were investigated. Results: 1. In the 3 D and 2 D images, 10 out of 93 variables (10.4%) and 11 out 44 variables (25%), respectively, showed a significant difference. 2. Landmarks that showed a significant difference in the 2 D image were the points frequently superimposed anatomically. 3. Go Po Orb landmarks, which showed a significant difference in the 3 D images, were found to be the artificial points for analysis in the 2 D image, and in the current definition, these points cannot be used for reproducibility in the 3 D image. Conclusion: Generally, 3-D CT images provide more precise identification of the traditional cephalometric landmark. Greater variability of certain landmarks in the mediolateral direction is probably related to the inadequate definition of the landmarks in the third dimension.
In the integral imaging system for 3D display, we have investigated the image distortions, such as duplication and omission, which are presented in the reconstructed image. We have also discussed the quantitative condition which minimizes the distortion, with several fundamental variables. In addition, we present the experimental results which support the quantitative analysis of the distortion.
