Desing of an internal Antenna for Hepta-Band Using CPWG-fed (CPW급전 구조 Hepta-Band 내장형 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, an antenna accessible to the Hepta-Band (GPS, DCS, PCS, UMTS, Wibro, Bluetooth and S-DMB) is designed and fabricated. To get broadband characteristics with small size, we propose a structure of Coplanar Waveguide-fed with Ground, which is based on a monopole antenna. Simulation is performed by adjusting the size of distance between a length of radiation patch and ground plane. The designed antenna satisfies the frequency bandwidth of 1.430Hz$\sim$2.9GHz(67.89%), the gain of $1.3{\sim}3.7dBi$ and an omni-directional radiation pattern at VSWR<2.

  • This research aims to suggest a multimodal non-touch gesture interface design to improve the usability of 3D sculpting task. The task and procedure of design sculpting of users were analyzed across multiple circumstances from the physical sculpting to computer software. The optimal body posture, design process, work environment, gesture-task relationship, the combination of natural hand gesture and arm movement of designers were defined. The preliminary non-touch 3D S/W were also observed and natural gesture interaction, visual metaphor of UI and affordance for behavior guide were also designed. The prototype of gesture based 3D sculpting system were developed for validation of intuitiveness and learnability in comparison to the current S/W. The suggested gestures were proved with higher performance as a result in terms of understandability, memorability and error rate. Result of the research showed that the gesture interface design for productivity system should reflect the natural experience of users in previous work domain and provide appropriate visual - behavioral metaphor.

Design and Fabrication of a Weathercock-Shaped Double Bandwidth Microstrip Patch Antenna that Combines U-slot and Short-pin for WLAN Systems Systems (WLAN System을 위한 U-slot 및 Short-pin 결합한 바람개비 모양의 이중대역(5.2/5.8GHz) 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, IEEE 802.11 based WLAN(5.2/5.8GHz) wideband Weathercock-shaped microstrip patch antenna was designed and manufactured. The antenna has a size of $17.4{\times}17.4mm^2$ and utilized FR-4 board. The size was minimized for mobility, and Weathercock-shaped U-slot and short-pin was inserted to satisfy adequate bandwidth and double bandwidth resonance characteristics. In addition, the antenna incorporated single both-sided patch, and simulation design optimized the Weathercock-shaped, position of the U-slot and the short-pin, and the length of the patch for the measurement. The manufactured antenna achieved a bandwidth of 695MHz from 5.2~5.8GHz zone(Return loss<-10dB). Achieved a beam width of $81.13^{\circ}$ and $85.43^{\circ}$ for 3-dB beam width of H plane and E p;ane radiation pattern, there was 3.17~4.85dBi gain.

  • 현재 우리나라에는 사용자들의 사실감을 더해주는 3D 기반 온라인 게임이 큰 주류를 이루고 있다. 국내에 많은 게임 개발 업체들이 있는데, 이들 업체에서는 게임 엔진 개발 의욕은 높은 반면 관련 전문 인력이 부족하고, 업체 규모가 영세한 경우가 많다. 또한 게임 설계와 관련된 기술은 보안이 철저하기 때문에 기술 공유가 사실상 힘들다. 인력과 시간이 많이 드는 네트워크 게임제작에서 기존에 작성된 코드를 재사용이 가능하도록 소프트웨어를 설계하는 것은 중요한 일이다. 지금까지 검증된 여러 가지 디자인 패턴들이 재사용을 위한 소프트웨어 설계에 도움을 준다. 본 논문에서는 DirectX를 기반으로 하는 네트워크 게임의 클라이언트 측 설계에 GoF(Gang of Four)의 디자인 패턴 영역 중 생성패턴을 이용하여 재사용이 가능한 네트워크 게임 설계에 대한 효율적인 기법을 제안한다.

Design and Implementation of 2.5D Mapping System for Cloth Pattern (의복패턴을 위한 2.5D 맵핑 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • 2.5D Mapping system that embody in this paper can make new design by doing draping to live various texture and model picture image of fashion clothes by pattern, and can confirm clothes work to simulation without producing direction sample or product directly. Also, the system can support function that can forecast fabric design and state of end article exactly, and the system can bring competitive power elevation of fashion industry and cost-cutting effect by doing draping using database of fabric and model picture image. 2.5D Mapping system composed and embodied by mesh warp algorithm module, light and shade extraction and application module, mapping path extraction module, mesh creation and transformation module, and 2.5D mapping module for more natural draping. Future work plans to study 3D fashion design system that graft together 3D clothes technology and 3D human body embodiment technology to do based on embodiment technology of 2.5D mapping system and overcomes expression limit of 2.5D mapping technology.

High Efficiency FPCB Antenna for the Dual Band Mobile Phone (휴대폰용 2중 대역 고효율 FPCB 안테나)

  • An internal antenna which has 1 cc volume was implemented on the FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) for the mobile phone. We increased antenna gain and efficiency by the applying of current direction concept on the antenna pattern for this small antenna. Short antenna length for the GSM band was compensated by the spiral inductor on the FPCB. For broadening bandwidth on GSM band, it's applied 2 spiral inductors. A conductor pattern for the DCS band was positioned perpendicular with the FPCB. Antenna was implemented on FPCB that is dielectric constant 4.4 and thickness 0.05 mm, and FPCB was attached on a carrier dimensioned $L{\times}W{\times}H=30{\times}7{\times}5\;mm$. Measurements showed that max. VSWR 2:1, efficiency 42.49~60.95 % and 47.95~73.21 %, average gain -3.72~-2.15 dBi and -3.19~-1.35 dBi on the GSM and DCS band, respectively. These results are good performances among the small antenna. And the radiation patterns are omnidirectional on the H-plane to both band.

  • In order to make 3-D display technique a better tool to provide viewers with realistic stereoscopic experience, various researches have been done in the many relevant fields. This psychophysical study was designed to investigate whether there was any difference in the perceptual processing between a dominant and non-dominant eye when a 3-D cue was provided exclusively to only one eye. We measured the reaction time for detecting a depth change by providing the viewer's each eyes with differential 3-D stimuli, which have systematical patterns. We obtained that there was a consistent 3-D perceptual performance when the 3-D cue was provided to the viewers' left eye regardless of their eye dominance. The result suggests that it might be a better technique to arrange the camera for left eye to carry 3-D cues to get the viewer's consistent 3-D perception.

  • We have demonstrated the fabrication of patterned 3D photonic crystals by holographic lithography in conjunction with soft lithography. Holographic lithography created 3D ordered macroporous structures and soft lithography made tailored defects. Because the hard baked photoresist pattern possessed high resistance against the uncured photoresist solution and the refractive index did not change appreciably by hard baking, a crosslinked photoresist was used as a relief pattern for the holographic fabrication of patterned 3D photonic crystals. More complicated defect geometries might be easily obtained with more complicated patterns on PDMS stamps. Moreover, the present results might be used as templates for 3D PCs of highindex defects that can be exploited as optical waveguides and optical circuits.

  • 본 연구는 국내가구 디자인 산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 사례의 하나로 디자인 작품을 시도하게 되었다. 지존의 디자인 모델링은 소프트 모델 또는 목업(mock up)개념에서 시행되어 디자이너가 직접 제작하기 전에는 3차원의 형상을 구현하기가 어려웠으며, 더욱이 문야의 적용은 실크스크린 또는 인쇄와 같은 처리기법으로 사용되었다. 이 방법은 시간, 경비, 공간, 자료의 보관 및 축적, 기타의 많은 문제점과 생산성 향상에 애로사항이 되어왔다. 요지와 같이 많은 문제점과 렌더링의 데이터베이스 뱅크는 활용 가능한 분야와 직종에 따라서 응용 가능하기 때문에 많은 실험적 시도가 요구된다. 디자인의 발상은 우리나라 전통문화의 가구디자인을 접목시킨 사례로서 시도하였으며, 형태와 문양을 현대적 개념에서 재해석하여 대입시켰다. 적용디자인 사례는 2개의 모델에 10가지의 패턴을 복합적으로 활용한 디자인 작품의 결과물이다. 이러한 결과는 다양한 디자인 연출과 시안을 추출할 수 있으며, 디자인 활동과 설계에 능률을 배가시키는 효과를 검증할 수 있겠다.

Development of lower bodice pattern for late-elementary obese-schoolgirls using 3D virtual garment simulation (3D 가상착의 시스템에 의한 아동후기 비만여아의 슬랙스 원형 설계)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop slacks patterns for obese-schoolgirls aged 10~12 by using a 3D virtual garment simulation system. The criteria for subjects in this study were girls who had a BMI of over $25kg/m^2$. A total of 155 schoolgirls who met these criteria were enrolled. The results were as follows: First, by using 3D virtual garment simulation, a new slacks pattern considerate of obese-schoolgirls was developed. The basic numerical formulae were as follows: Front and back hip girth of H/4-0.5+1 and H/4+0.5+1.5, front waist girth of W/4+1+0.5, back waist girth of W/4+2+0.5, front crotch extension of H/16-0.5, back crotch extension of H/8-0.5, front dart amount of 1, and back dart amount of 2. Second, according to the new slacks pattern appearance evaluation, the new slacks pattern scored more highly than the existing pattern for silhouette and ease amount, confirming that the new slacks pattern is appropriate for obese-schoolgirls. Additionally, the new slacks pattern was evaluated allowing for the proper space length of the waist, abdomen and hips. This study is expected to serve as important basic data for ensuing studies that may utilize a 3D virtual garment simulation system with 2D patterns and for future 3D pattern production program development.
