Design and Fabrication of Aperture-Coupled Microstrip Cylindrical Dielectric Resonant Antenna for Wireless LAN (무선 LAN용 개구결합 마이크로스트립 원통형 유전체 공진 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, on aperture-coupled microstrip cylindrical dielectric resonant antenna(DRA) consisting of dielectric material with permittivity ${\epsilon}_{r}$ = 36 is designed and fabricated fir wireless LAN. First of all, the feedline length, width, slot length and width of the feeding element were calculated using the theory of microstrip transmission line. Radiation element is designed using the theory of cylindrical dielectric cavity, Resonant frequency of the fabricated cylindrical DRA is 2.449 GHz and VSWR, return loss and bandwidth is 1.009, -47 dB and 70 MHz, respectively. Front-to-back radiation ratio is about 12 dB and 3 dB beamwidth of E-plane and H-plane is 110$^{\circ}$ and 90$^{\circ}$ , respectively.

  • The shape of vertical pattern of base station antenna affects greatly quality of the communication of not only a service zone but also adjacent cells and then it is an important point to be considered in designing cell coverage. Currently type of vertical patterns to be applied to base station antenna are divided into five classes. In designing antenna, these five classes are applied solely or compositely according to the environment to be used antenna. In this paper, the dual polarized antenna for base station that is with a continuous electrical down tilting and with a shaped beam pattern, that an upper side lobe is suppressed and a lower null is filled, is designed and fabricated for synthesizing of the shape beant the pattern synthesis methods proposed by R. S. Elliott is used sequentially and for the electrical don tilting, the phased array theory is applied. Measured results show the down tilting range from 0° to 14°, the gain of Min. 13.3dBi and the upper side lobe of Max. -23dB. And we verified that upper side lobe is not to vary greatly and null filling performance is favorable overall.

  • Today, 3D printer is all the more impressive because it is reducing complex product process than other existing methods (e.g. CNC) fast handling customer's various demands. If 3D printer become popular, that can shift industrial production methods and consumption patterns. Therefore 3D printer cross lips as the second industrial Revolution. This paper will classify the various kind of 3D printers among their properties, analyze merits and demerits of each ones, and proposed the direction of 3D printers future.

  • 본 논문에서는 GSM/DCS/USPCS/WCDMA대역에서 사용할 수 있는 IFA 형태의 내장형 안테나를 설계하고 이를 제작하였다. 이 안테나는 제한된 공간에서 기본 IFA에 전류 흐름의 상쇄작용을 고려하여 4중 대역을 형성 시켰으며, GSM대역에서 Maximum Gain -1.11dBi ~ 1.29dBi, DCS/USPCS/WCDMA대역에서 -1.15dBi~3.12dBi의 결과를 얻었다. 방사패턴 또한 전방향성에 가까운 특성을 가지고 있으며 전체적으로 효율은 약 3.35% ~ 33.23% 향상됨을 확인할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a 3-D EM simulation methodology for on-chip spiral inductor analysis has provided and it is shown that the methodology can be adapted to the highly predictable design for CMOS VCO. LC-resonator type VCO have fabricated by using standard 0.25 um CMOS process. And the LC VCO layout case which has pattern ground shielded inductors and the other layout case which has no pattern grounded inductors were fabricated for the verification of their effects on the VCO's phase noise by reducing the Q-factor of inductors. Fabricated VCO has 3.094 GHz, -12.15 dBm output at the tuning voltage of 2.5 V, and from the simulation, Q-factor of the pattern grounded inductor has increased 8% at 3 GHz, and from the measurement results, the phase noise has reduced by 9 dB at the 3 MHz off-set frequency for the pattern grounded inductor layout case.

  • 3D online game, with its striking realistic value, is leading the entire Korean game market which has various game genres. Technology sharing is very hard within the Korean game industry. That is because 1)there are few professionals, 2)most of the companies are small-scaled, and 3)there are security reasons. Therefore, it should be significant if we have software design techniques which make it possible to reuse the existing code when developing a network game so that we could save a lot of efforts. In this paper, the author analyzes the demand through the case in the client's design of the network game based on DirectX and proposes the effective software design methods for reusable code based on the creative patterns application in the GoF in the class design.

  • This paper presents the design of a novel integrated T-DMB/GPS/Mobile antenna for vehicular application. The T-DMB antenna is designed with a modified meander-type microstrip patch providing linearly a polarized broadside radiation pattern. The GPS antenna is designed with an inserted slot in the patch antenna providing circularly polarized broadside radiation pattern. The Mobile (GSM, AMPS, DCS, PCS, UMTS, etc.) antenna is designed as a modified G-type patch antenna providing multi-band operation. Experimental results indicate that the impedance bandwidth (VSWR 1:2.5) of the proposed T-DMB /GPS/Mobile antenna satisfactorily matches that of the simulation results. The 2D and 3D radiation patterns and gains according to the results of the experiment are also presented and discussed.

Design and Fabrication of Multiple U-shaped slot Microstrip Antenna for 5.25GHZ Band Wireless LAN (5-25GHZ 대역 무선 LAN 다중 U 슬롯 모양의 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, a multiple U-shaped slot antenna for 5.25㎓~5.35㎓ is designed, fabricated, and measured. The prototype consists of U-slot and two invert U-slot. To obtain enough bandwidth, the foam layer is inserted between ground plane and substrate. Important parameters in the design are U-slot length, width, position, airgap length, and feed point. From these parameters optimized, a multiple U-shaped slot antenna is fabricated and measured. The measured results of the antenna are compared with its simulated results. The resonant frequency of the fabricated multiple U-shaped slot antenna is 5.25㎓ the bandwidth for approximately 7.4%(VSWR<1.5) and the gain is 2.9~5.3dBi. The experimental far-field patterns are stable across the pass band. The 3dB bandwidth in H-Plane and I-Plane are 62$^{\circ}$ and 50$^{\circ}$, respectively.

  • 3D LCD Module은 기존 TFT-LCD에 Parallax Barrier 방식과 Passive Glasses 방식 및 Active Glass 방식의 기술을 적합하여 만들어 진다. 현재는 3D Module 제작 후 기타 ASSY 장치를 부착 하여 시제품 출시 전에 3D 패턴을 기반으로 출하 검사를 통해 제품 이상 유무를 검사하다 보니 제품 출하 검사 시 불량 요인으로 불량 제품에 대한 모든 Repair공정을 위해 많은 시간 및 인력, 자재 등의 많은 로스 부분이 발생 하여 생산성 절감 및 제품 원가 상승의 요인이 발생 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안하고자 하는 내용은 기존의 2D TFT-LCD Module 검사장비에 3D Pattern 및 동영상을 구현하여 보다 신속 하고 정확한 임베디드 환경을 이용한 2D 및 3D LCD Module용 검사 시스템을 개발 하는데 있다.

  • 본 논문은 여러 옷감 조각들을 이용하여 가상의 3차원 인체 모델에 옷을 입히기 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 의상 제작 과정에 사용한 방법은 2차원 옷감 조각을 디자인하는 과정과 옷감 조각을 재봉하고 여기에 제약점을 정하여 3차원 인체 모델에 의상을 입히는 과정으로 구성된다. 제안된 시스템은 3차원 인체 모델 파일과 2차원 재단 패턴 파일을 읽어 들인 다음 질량-스프링 모델에 기반한 물리적 시뮬레이션에 의해 의복을 착용한 3D 모델을 생성한다. 본 논문의 시스템은 사실적인 시뮬레이션을 위하여 인체 모델을 구성하는 삼각형과 의복을 구성하는 삼각형 사이의 충돌을 검사하고 반응 처리를 수행하였다. 인체를 구성하는 삼각형의 수가 매우 많으므로, 이러한 충돌 검사 및 반응 처리는 많은 시간을 필요로 한다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 Octree 공간 분할 기법을 이용하여 충돌 검사 및 반응 처리 수를 줄이는 방법을 이용하여 사실적인 영상을 생성할 수 있었고, 수초 이내에 가상 인체 모델에 의복을 입힐 수 있었다.
