Tx/Rx Isolation enhancement of the Planar Patch Antenna at 5.8GHz ISM band (5.8GHz ISM 대역 평면안테나의 송수신분리도 개선)

  • In this paper, microstrip antenna to enhance the isolation between transmitting port and receiving port under the proximity objects is proposed, and applied to the Doppler radar sensor working at 5.8GHz ISM band which detects vital signals of a human body. Two 3dB quadrature hybrids are placed around radiation patch to form a balanced structure between transmitting port and receiving port, such that it consistently provides enhanced Tx/Rx isolation and excellent return loss over nearby objects. It is theoretically analyzed and simulated to verify the validity of the proposed application. The fabricated antenna that is 2mm away from the human body, has more than 16 dB return loss and at least 30dB isolation over ISM frequency band of 5.8GHz.

  • 360 degree 3-dimensional lidar sensors and vision cameras are commonly used in the development of autonomous driving techniques for automobile, drone, etc. By the way, existing calibration techniques for obtaining th e external transformation of the lidar and the camera sensors have disadvantages in that special calibration objects are used or the object size is too large. In this paper, we introduce a simple calibration method between two sensors using a spherical object. We calculated the sphere center coordinates using four 3-D points selected by RANSAC of the range data of the sphere. The 2-dimensional coordinates of the object center in the camera image are also detected to calibrate the two sensors. Even when the range data is acquired from various angles, the image of the spherical object always maintains a circular shape. The proposed method results in about 2 pixel reprojection error, and the performance of the proposed technique is analyzed by comparing with the existing methods.

  • 본 논문은 3차원 스캐너로 획득된 실제 얼굴 데이터를 햅틱 상호작용을 통해 직접 변형하고 재질감을 모델링 하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 그래픽 하드웨어 기반의 햅틱 렌더링 알고리즘을 기반으로 획득된 2.5D 얼굴 데이터를 mass-spring 모델을 적용하여 변형하고 얼굴의 재질감(탄성, 마찰, 거칠기) 정보를 모델링 하는 것이다. 햅틱 장치를 이용한 변형알고리즘은 변형 시 효율적인 변형 영역 탐색을 위하여 공간 분할방법인 k-d 트리 구조를 이용하여 최근방 탐색 알고리즘을 구현하였으며, 사실적인 힘 계산을 위하여 각 포인트 마다 mass-spring 모델을 적용하여 반력 연산 및 물체의 변형을 수행하였다. 아울러 재질감을 모델링 하기 위해 깊이 이미지 기반 표현(Depth Image Based Representation, DIBR)을 이용하여 가상 물체의 거칠기, 탄성, 및 마찰을 편집할 수 있는 방법론을 제시하고, 편집된 재질감을 직접 물체의 표면에 적용하여 렌더링 하는 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 복원을 위한 특징점 추출 및 매칭에 대한 보다 정확한 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 컴퓨터 비전의 기본이 되는 분야로 복원뿐 만 아니라 SLAM과 같은 지도 작성 및 자율 운행에도 필요한 방법이다. 본 연구는 3차원 물체 복원을 위해서 사용하는 방법 중 하나인 Column space fitting(CSF)을 이용하여 turntable-image data에 적용하여 성능을 평가하여 정확성을 검증을 한다. 오늘날 3D scanner를 이용하여 물체를 3차원 모델을 획득하고 3D프린터를 이용하여 다양한 분야에 적용한다. 그러나 고가의 장비이기 때문에 접근성이 떨어진다. 본 연구는 영상들만을 가지고 기하학적 계산을 통해 3차원 모델을 획득한다. 본 연구결과는 기존의 방법인 KLT 알고리즘과 비교하여 RMSE의 값을 약 5배를 줄이는 성능 향상을 보인다.

Study on a 2-Dimensional Dynamic Modeling Technique to Analyze the Overriding Phenomena of Rollingstock (열차의 타고오름 해석을 위한 2차원 충돌동역학 모델링 기법 연구)

  • This paper proposed a new 2-D multi-body dynamic modeling technique to analyze overriding behaviors taking place during train collision. This dynamic model is composed of nonlinear springs, dampers and masses by considering the deformable characteristics of carbodies as well as energy absorbing structures and components. By solving this dynamic model for rollingstock, energy absorbing capacities of collision elements, accelerations of passenger sections, impact forces applied to interconnecting devices, and overriding displacements can be well estimated. For a case study, we chose KHST (Korean High Speed Train), obtained crush characteristic data of each carbody section from 3-D finite element analysis, and established a 2-D multi-body dynamic model. This 2-D dynamic model was simulated under the train-to-train collision scenarios, and evaluated with 3-D virtual testing model. It was founded from the simulation results that this 2-D dynamic model could well predict overriding behaviors, and the modeling technique of carbody deformation was very important in overriding estimation.

  • The video surveillance system is adopted in many places due to its efficiency and constancy in monitoring a specific area over a long period of time. However, many surveillance systems composed of a single static camera often produce unsatisfactory results due to their lack of field of view. In this paper, we present a video surveillance system based on wide baseline stereo cameras to overcome the limitation. We adopt the codebook algorithm and mathematical morphology to robustly model the foreground pixels of the moving object in the scene and calculate the trajectory of the moving object via 3D reconstruction. The experimental results show that the proposed system detects a moving object and generates a top view trajectory successfully to track the location of the object in the world coordinates.

  • Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plants were regenerated through organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis in cotyledon and hypocotyl cultures. The shoots were efficiently formed on the basal region of cotyledons cultured on MS medium containing 1.0㎎/L zeatin and 0.1㎎/L IAA in all cultivars used. Embryogenic calli were formed on hypocotyl segments cultured on MS medium containing 1.0㎎/L 2,4-D in cv. group 'Nakhab' and maintained by consecutive subculture on the same medium every 2-3 weeks without loss of embryogenic ability. Upon transfer to MS basal medium, high frequency somatic embryogenesis was achieved easily from embryogenic callus. Regenerated plantlets through organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis were transplanted to pots and gradually acclimatized to greenhouse condition where they subsequently produced fruits.

  • Simplification of 3D models is becoming necessary with popularity of 3D graphics over mobile or the internet channels with limited channel capacity. Surfaces of a 3D model are usually approximated by a series of triangular meshes, and vertex contraction method is employed widely to minimize the deviation from the original model. Determination of the best position after contraction depends on the calculation of simplification error. We propose a new measure for computing the error so that the simplified model represents the original faithfully. We demonstrate the improved results with real 3D models.

  • This paper presents a new method of 3-D surface feature extraction using a quadratic pol expression. With a range image, we get an edge map through the modified scan line technique this edge map, we label a 3-dimensional object to divide object's region and extract cent corner points from it's region. Then we determine whether the segmented region is a planar or a curved from the quadric surface equation. we calculate the coefficients of the planar su the curved surface to represent regions. In this article. we prove performance of the metho synthetic and real (Odetics) range images.

  • 구조적 조명 기법은 그레이코드 패턴광을 물체에 투영시켜 정확하게 3차원 형상 정보를 복원 할 수 있는 방법이다. 그러나 물체에 투영되는 그레이코드 패턴광이 카메라에 정확하게 인식 되어야 보다 정밀하게 3차원 좌표를 추정할 수 있다. 즉, 주변광의 밝기가 패턴광의 밝기에 비해 무시할 수 없을 정도로 밝은 경우 카메라가 물체와 투영된 패턴을 정확히 인식하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 구조적 조명 기법이 주변의 밝기에 따라 제한적인 문제점을 해결하기 위해 High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) 알고리즘을 적용시켜 보다 넓은 동적 범위의 밝기 영역에서 3차원 형상을 정확하게 복원하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험결과 HDRI를 이용하여 복원하였을 경우 그렇지 않은 경우에 비해 복원 정밀도가 크게 개선되는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
