사각 핀이 설치된 오목충돌면에서 배열충돌제트의 국소 열전달 특성 고찰 (Heat Transfer of Array Impinging Jet on Concave Surfaces with Rectangular Fin)

  • The present study investigates the heat transfer characteristics on concave surface with array impinging jet and fin arrangement. The heat transfer coefficients was measured by TLC method. The Reynolds number based on jet hole diameter is 10,000 and hole diameter-to-plate distance ratio (H/d) is fixed at 2. The rectangular fins are installed in the curved channel and the width of fin varies from 1d to 3d. Without fins, the averaged heat transfer coefficients decreases as moves downstream region. While, the rectangular fins block the crossflow and higher heat transfer rates were observed compared to smooth channel.

개구부를 갖는 콘크리트 전단벽의 탄성안정 (Elastic Stability of Perforated Concrete Shear Wall)

  • 개구부를 갖는 콘크리트 전단벽을 두께가 얇은 직사각형 평판으로 모델화하였다. 판의 두가지 경계조건에 대한 안정해석 결과를 판좌굴계수 k로 표시하였다. 경계조건이 다른 변수로는 휨으로 인한 힘/연직하중비 .alpha., 수평 전단력/연직하중비 .betha. 및 개구부의 위치 및 크기 변화이다. 유한요소법에 의한 결과를 얻기 위하여 예제의 판을 27*9의 정사각형 요소로 분할하였으며 node에서 3가지 자유도를 갖는 c.deg. 유한요소를 택하였다. 일반적으로 개구부의 크기가 증가함에 따라 판 개구부가 판 중앙에서 자유연(free edge)으로 접근할수록 좌굴계수는 감소하는 현상을 보이고 있다.

실험 데이터를 이용한 클럽 페이스 움직임 분석 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Program That Computes the Position of the Club Face Based on the Experimental Data)

  • The moving trajectory of a golf ball is mainly determined by the angles of the clubface and the trajectory of the club shaft. This paper presents a computer program for analyzing the position and angles of the club while the club moves in a circular motion. For this purpose, a mathematical algorithm was developed and implemented on the experimental data(5 m and 10 m carries) using VC++ and OpenGL. A skilled female golfer(174 cm, 65 kg, 0 handicap) was participated in data collection for the short approach shots. An iron club(Titleist 52 degree, 91.5 cm length, 450 g mass), attached with five reflective markers(12 mm), was used to collect experimental data. However, exact 3D coordinates and angles of the clubface are not directly calculated from measured data. A reverse engineering platform(Minolta Vivid910 hardware and Rapidform software) was thus employed to acquire the scanned data of the clubface. The scanned data and measured data were first aligned by applying appropriate coordinate transformations, and then exact coordinates and angles of clubface could be obtained at each position during circular motion. The program(Club Motion Analysis 1.0) exports the open, heel, loft angles of the club.

Watsu 치료가 뇌졸중 이후 성인 편부전마비환자의 근긴장도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Watsu Therapy on Muscle Tone in Adult Hemiparesis Patient After Stroke)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of watsu therapy on muscle tone in adult hemiparesis patient after stroke. The subject was a 66 year old patient with left hemiparesis whose self gait was independent with minimal assist. The subject was ambulatory with some degree of limitation and demonstrated a little tremor and asymmetry in the body. A multiple treatment design(A-B-C-B) for a single-subject research was used for this study. The watsu therapy consisted of basic moves, head cradle, underfar leg, near leg cradle in watsu I (transition flow), for 25 minutes, which lasted 12 sessions for a total 21 sessions. A baseline was conducted for a first time and a general ROM exercise was conducted after the first watsu therapy. Tone assessment scale was tested : 1. posturing at rest 2. response to passive movement 3. associated reaction Comparing to the baseline and general ROM exercise, The results showed that the watsu therapy had some positive effects on improvement of three tests and there was a more positive effects of both response to passive movement and associated reaction.

확장충돌맵의 수학적 분석을 이용한 다개체의 충돌탐지 (Conflict Detection for Multi-agent Motion Planning using Mathematical Analysis of Extended Collision Map)

  • Effective tools which can alleviate the complexity and computational load problem in collision-free motion planning for multi-agent system have steadily been demanded in robotics field. To reduce the complexity, the extended collision map (ECM) which adopts decoupled approach and prioritization is already proposed. In ECM, the collision regions which represent the potential collision of robots are calculated using the computational power; the complexity problem is not resolved completely. In this paper, we propose a mathematical analysis of the extended collision map; as a result, we formulate the collision region as an equation with 5-8 variables. For mathematical analysis, we introduce realistic assumptions as follows; the path of each robot can be approximated to a straight line or an arc and every robot moves with uniform velocity or constant acceleration near the intersection between paths. Our result reduces the computational complexity in comparison with the previous result without losing optimality, because we use simple but exact equations of the collision regions. This result can be widely applicable to coordinated multi-agent motion planning.

흡입 밸브 각도에 따른 실린더 내 흡입 유동 특성 비교 (In-Cylinder Intake Flow Characteristics according to Inlet Valve Angle)

  • A PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) was applied to measure in-cylinder velocity field according to inlet valve angle during intake stroke. Two engines, one is conventional DOHC 4 valve and the other is narrow valve angle, were used to compare real intake flow. The results show that the intake flow pattern of conventional engine is more complicated than that of narrow angle one in horizontal plane and the vertical component of in-cylinder flow is rapidly decayed at the end stage of intake. On the other hand, the flow pattern of narrow angle one is relatively well arranged in horizontal plane and the vertical velocity component remains so strongly that forms large-scale strong tumble. Two engines also form commonly three tumble; two are small and bellow the intake valve and one is large-scale. The center of large scale tumble moves to bottom of cylinder as the vertical velocity increases.

인간 관절 에너지 분석을 통한 이족로봇의 자연스러운 보행 제어 (Control Gait Pattern of Biped Robot based on Human's Sagittal Plane Gait Energy)

  • This paper proposes a method of adaptively generating a gait pattern of biped robot. The gait synthesis is based on human's gait pattern analysis. The proposed method can easily be applied to generate the natural and stable gait pattern of any biped robot. To analyze the human's gait pattern, sequential images of the human's gait on the sagittal plane are acquired from which the gait control values are extracted. The gait pattern of biped robot on the sagittal plane is adaptively generated by a genetic algorithm using the human's gait control values. However, gait trajectories of the biped robot on the sagittal plane are not enough to construct the complete gait pattern because the biped robot moves on 3-dimension space. Therefore, the gait pattern on the frontal plane, generated from Zero Moment Point (ZMP), is added to the gait one acquired on the sagittal plane. Consequently, the natural and stable walking pattern for the biped robot is obtained, as proved by the experiments.

  • An energy-efficient reference walking trajectory generation algorithm is suggested utilizing allowable ZMP (Zero-Moment-Point) region, which maxmizes the energy efficiency for cyclic gaits, based on three-dimensional LIPM (Linear Inverted Pendulum Model) for biped robots. As observed in natural human walking, variable ZMP manipulation is suggested, in which ZMP moves within the allowable region to reduce the joint stress (i.e., rapid acceleration and deceleration of body), and hence to reduce the consumed energy. In addition, opimization of footstep planning is conducted to decide the optimal step-length and body height for a given forward mean velocity to minimize a suitable energy performance - amount of energy required to carry a unit weight a unit distance. In this planning, in order to ensure physically realizable walking trajectory, we also considered geometrical constraints, ZMP stability condition, friction constraint, and yawing moment constraint. Simulations are performed with a 12-DOF 3D biped robot model to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 무선 단말기를 이용하여 단순한 문장 및 음성 전송뿐만 아니라 인터넷과 같은 멀티미디어 서비스를 이용하고자 하는 사용자가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 이동 망에서 Mobile IPv4 지역 위치등록(Regional Registration)을 개선하여 트래픽의 전송 지연과 메시지 발생양을 기존의 방법에 비해 낮출 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 CN으로부터 전송되는 패킷을 HA를 경유하지 않고 MN이 위치한 지역으로 전달하도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 각 방법에 대해 메시지 발생양과 패킷의 지연시간과의 관계를 보이고, 개선된 MIPv4 지역 위치등록을 이용하여 이를 최소화한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법을 위치 등록 비용과 메시지전송 비용에 대해 기존의 방법과 비교하여 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 우수하다는 것을 입증한다.

Roles for Public Education in Mental Health Promotion, Prevention of Mental Illness and Treatment of Mental Disorders in Canada

  • Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to describe the role for public education in mental health promotion, prevention of mental illness and treatment of mental disorders in Canada. Results: A brief history of the changing nature of the way we treat mental disorders in Canada argues for an increasingly critical role for public education. Furthermore, the new understanding of the role of social determinants in prevention of mental illness again necessitates a vital role for public education as the shift in focus moves from exclusively individual-focused health care treatments to creating supportive environments. The roles for mental health public education then become: advocacy for the social determinants of health approach, better understanding of the nature of mental health problems, useful information for self-management, and more knowledge about appropriate treatments. A brief discussion of the structure of the response in Canada provides an overview of national and provincial responsibilities in mental health care with a case study highlighting one community's response to addressing mental disorders. Conclusion : Finally, challenges regarding the most effective educators and the issue of professional expertise embedded in the status quo are discussed.
