정밀가공 부품 검사에 사용되는 삼차원측정기의 측정불확도 연구 (A Study on Measurement Uncertainty of CMM used for Inspection of Precision Machined parts.)

  • The machining parts must be produced within the specification of drawing and those will be able to meet function and efficiency. At that time. it is necessary not only precision machine or machining technique but also the measurement technique is very important. So. the improvement of precise measurement technique is to be joined together at once with improvement of product technique. Finally. he quality and value of the parts are decided by precision measurement. This paper aims to study on he measurement uncertainty when the machined parts are inspected with 3-dimensional coordinate measuring machine. The objectives are to remove an error of measurement and to improve quality and productivity of the mass products.

  • This paper describes a 3-dimensional measuring method for cylindrical huge ingot pressed with forging machine. Target ingot we consider here is rotated around a fixed axis during measurement. Using an image processing technique every profile of cross-section is obtained, and 3D image is reconstructed. One method to calibrate the system setting is also presented. Experimental results reveal that the method are applicable and the algorithm is feasible.

  • Recently, new polishing tool which was made by magnetic intelligent compound(Magic) was invented. The distribution of abrasives in this new tool can be controlled by magnetic field. Therefore, we can make a special polishing tool which has well arranged abrasives after cooling. In this study, 3 dimensional polishing machine was developed in order to polish complicated - shaped inner surfaces of molds. The performance of developed machine was investigated by measuring the roughness of polished surface using new polishing tool.

역설계 방법에 의한 시편 치수 형상의 오차율 분석 (Analysis of Master Dimensional Shape Error Rate According to Reverse Engineering Technique)

  • In this study, an experiment was conducted using a 3D scanner, commonly used in reverse engineering techniques, and the newly introduced CT measuring machine. The hole, width, and angle of specimens having various shapes were designated, the error rates in dimensional modelling generated during scanning with each device were compared, and the models were printed using a 3D printer. A secondary comparative analysis of the two printed specimens was conducted; the causes of dimension errors that occur during the printing process after scanning with each device and the differences associated with variation in shape were also analyzed. Based on the analysis results, the featured shape for each scanning application method and issues to consider in reverse engineering were presented, and the use of the CT measuring machine was recommended as a method to minimize error rates in dimensions and ensure efficient reverse engineering.

  • 3차원좌표측정기(Coordinate Measuring Machine)의 공간오차(Volumetric error)의 측정을 위하여 홀-플레이트(Hole-Plate)를 이용하는 방법이 연구되었다. 티타늄 또는 세라믹으로 제작되는 홀-플레이트의 설계 예를 보였다. 홀-플레이트의 측정홀 숫자와 진원도(Roundness)의 영향이 연구되었으며, 또한 홀-플레이트의 설치시 발생하는 오차도 검토되었다. 3차원좌표측정기의 공간오차성분 모두를 별도로 측정하는 방법이 제안되었다. 홀-플레이트를 이용 2차원 및 3차원 공간의 길이 오차를 직접적으로 측정하는 방법도 소개되었다.

프리하든 금형강의 정밀 홀 가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Precision Hole Machiningof Pre Hardened Mould Steel)

  • In this paper, precision processing is carried out for the pre hardened steel(HRC 54), which is one of injection mould materials. Processing characteristics are estimated according to the number of tool cutting blade and roundness is observed by the 3-Dimensional measuring machine. The surface roughness affected by the wire electric discharge machining are measured. Cutting component force of STAVOX is the highest in condition of 2F processing because load per a blade of cutting tool is high. Especially, the difference in Fz is over 20N by cutting load. The slower spindle rotation speed and tool feed rate are, the better cutting component force is. The roundness of hole processed in condition of 4F is good because feed rate is able to be fast. When rotation speed is increased, the surface roughness is decreased. The surface roughness acquired in condition of 2F processing is higher about 50% than 4F processing.

접촉감지프로브를 이용한 자유곡면의 삼차원형상 자동측정 (Automatic Measurement of 3-Dimensional Profile of Free-Formed Surfaces by Using Touch-Trigger Probes)

  • This report presents an automatic measurement method of 3-dimensional profiles of free-formed surfaces, by using a touch a touch-trigger contact probe along with a conventional coordinate measuring machine. The method proceeds in three steps; The surface profile under consideration is traced by the probe in an automatic manner, and then its measured data is compensated by considering the actual probe radius. Finally the compensated data is rearranged in the form suitable for the further processings of CAD/CAM applications. Some experimental results are discussed to verify the validity of the method suggested in this study.

산업용 로봇을 이용한 3차원 차체측정 시스템 (Three Dimension Car Body Measuring System Using Industrial Robots)

  • Inspecting the dimensional accuracy of a car-body in assembly line is a very important process to assure high productivity. Now there exist two common inspecting methods in practice. One is to measure a sampled car-body with three dimensional measuring machine, and the other is to measure car-body with three dimensional measuring machine, and the other is to measure car-body in assembly line using many sensors fixed to a large jig frame. The formal method takes too long to inspect a sampled car-body of a same sort, and cannot therefore give an useful error trend for the whole production. On the other hand, the latter lacks flexibility and is very cost-intensive. By using industrial robots and sensors, an in-line Car-Body Measuring(CBM) system which ensured high flexiblity and sufficient accuracy was developed. This CBM cell operates in real production line and measures the check points by the non-contact type using camera and laser displacement sensor(LDS). This system can handle about 15 Measuring points within a cycle time of 40 seconds. A process computer controls whole process such as data acquisition file handling and data analysis. Robot arms changes in length due to ambient temperature fluctuation affecting the measuring accuracy. To compensate this error, a robot arm calibration process was developed.

3차원 측정기를 이용한 자유곡면 측정시 최적의 경로 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Probe Path Generation for Sculptured Surface Inspection Using the Coordinate Measuring Machine)

  • The objective of this research is to develop an effective inspection planning strategy for sculptured surfaces by using 3-dimensional Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). First, the CAD/CAM database is generated by using the Bezier surface patch mathod and variable cutter step size approach for design and machining of the workpiece model. Then, optimum measuring point locations are determained based on the mean curvature analysis to obtain more effective inspection results for the given sample numbers. An optimal probe sequence generation method is proposed by implementing the Traveling Salesperson (TSP) algorithm and new guide point selection methods are suggested based on the concepts of the variable distance between the first and second guide points. Finally, simulation study and experimental work show the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

  • Efforts have been devoted to developing rapid and accurate methods for measuring the errors of machine tools. The method os measurement and calibration of machine tool errors should be general and efficient. The objective of this study is to show in detail the full sequence from the measurement of errors factors to the verification of the positioning accuracy after compensation for the volumetric error. In this paper, we described the steps in measuring the volumetric error parameters, a general error model composed of error parameters, temperature, and the desired position. The validity of the error calibration methods proposed in this paper was tested using a vertical 3-axis CNC machine with a laser interferometer and a ball bar.
