EMD를 이용한 초음파 비파괴 평가용 3차원 영상처리 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of 3D Image Processing Software using EMD for Ultrasonic NDE)

  • 본 논문은 핵발전소 증기발생기의 초음파 비파괴 검사용 프로그램 개발에 관한 것이다. 개발된 프로그램은 A, B, C, D-스캔과 같은 고전적인 해석방법뿐만 아니라 3차원 영상처리 기법을 이용하여 증기발생기 내부에 발생한 결함을 해석하고 검출할 수 있다. 결함의 3차원 영상은 핵발전소의 파이프라인으로부터 얻어진 1차원 초음파 데이터를 EMD(Empirical Mode Decomposition)로 분석해 결함의 위치를 구하고 voxel을 이용하여 구현하였다. 얻어진 3차원 영상은 2차원 해석방법을 사용하지 않더라도 결함의 위치, 형태, 크기 등과 같은 유용한 정보를 얻는데 용이하다. 개발된 프로그램은 이미 결함의 위치 및 모양, 크기 등을 알고 있는 시편의 측정에 사용하여 프로그램의 정확성을 검증하였고, 3차원 영상으로 결함의 입체적 모양을 구현하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to design 200 kW, 15,000 rpm 3 phase induction motor. This research deals with natural frequency and mode shape of rotating shaft of 3 phase induction motor with bearing stiffness by finite element analysis. We present natural frequency characteristic variation of rotating shaft according to change bearing stiffness. Also we are verified stability of rotating shaft from backward and forward critical speed by campbell diagram.

  • Laser direct writing process is developed 3rd harmonic Diode Pumped Solid State Laser with the near visible wavelength of 355 m sensitive polymer is irradiated by UV laser and developed using polymer solvent to obtain quasi-3D. It is important to reduce line width for image mode waveguides, so some investigations will be carried out in various conditions of process parameters such as laser power, writing speed, laser focus and optical properties of polymer. This process could be to fabricate a single mode waveguide without expensive mask projection method. Experimentally, the patterns of trapezoidal shape were manufactured into dimension of 8.4 mm width and 7.5 mm height. Propagation loss of straight waveguide measured 3 dB/cm at 1,550 nm.

  • 3차원 유한요소법을 이용하여 엔드코일 효과를 고려한 SRM의 자계해석을 수행하였다. 고정자 극 형상에 따른 자계특성의 비교를 통하여 제안된 형상에서 자계특성이 향상됨을 확인하였다. 해석한 자계특성을 적용하여 철도부하에 대한 PI 제어기와 슬라이딩모드 제어기의 속도제어를 수행하였다. 속도 제어 시뮬레이션은 Matlab-Simulink를 사용하여 구현되었으며 부하 가변 조건에서 슬라이딩모드 제어기가 PI 제어기에 비해 더 우수한 과도응답 및 정상상태응답을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

E/H 평면 방사 패턴 대칭성 향상을 위해 개구면이 변형된 원형 이중 모드 혼 안테나 (Circular Dual Mode Horn Antenna(CDMHA) with Modified Aperture to Improve E/H-Plane Radiation Pattern Symmetry)

  • 본 논문에서는 개구면이 큰 기존 원형 이중 모드 혼의 E/H 평면 방사 패턴 대칭성 향상을 위한 변형된 개구면을 갖는 원형 이중 모드 혼을 제안한다. 제안된 안테나는 급전부, 모드 발생부, 위상정합부로 구성되며, 이 중 위상정합부의 원형 개구면은 E/H 평면의 방사 패턴 대칭성 향상을 위해 타원형 혹은 직사각형으로 변이된 형상을 갖는다. 제안된 안테나와 기존 원형 이중 모드 혼의 성능 비교를 위해 15 GHz에서 동작하는 기존 원형 이중모드 혼과 직사각형 개구면을 갖는 원형 이중 모드 혼을 제작하고 분석하였다. 측정 결과, f/d 비가 1인 반사판 안테나의 최대 개구 효율을 위한 급전 혼의 빔 폭인 -11 dB 빔 폭($53^{\circ}$) 내에서 기존 원형 이중 모드 혼의 경우 3.394 dB의 E/H 평면 방사 패턴 차이를 갖는 반면, 제안된 안테나는 오직 0.539 dB 차이를 가진다.

오픈-소스 소프트웨어를 이용한 콘빔 전산화단층영상의 중첩 및 시각화 (Cone-beam CT superimposition and visualization using open-source softwares)

  • ITK-SNAP (http://www.itksnap.org) and 3D Slicer (CMFreg extension module; www.slicer.org) are open-source softwares which can be used for superimposition of cone-beam CT images. For superimposition, segmentation of bone is done with ITK-SNAP, and then voxel based superimposition of CBCT images can be performed using 3D Slicer. 3D Slicer has various visualization modules which are not provided in common commercial programs. 'Models' module is used to visualize two overlapping three-dimensional images, and this allows various visualizations by changing view mode and color of the model. In addition, differences between two CBCT images can be represented in a color map using 'ShapePopulationViewer' module. This report introduces how to superimpose and visualize CBCT images using ITK-SNAP and 3D Slicer, and the usefulness and limitations of both softwares will be discussed in comparison with commercial softwares.

다공관 배기 소음기의 음향 모드와 공동음에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acoustic and Cavity-Tone in a Perforated Through-Tube Muffler)

  • The objective of this study is do obtain the relationship between the acoustic mode and cavity tone induced in a perforated tube exhaust muffler. First, the modal frequency for the axisymmetric radial mode and the mode shape have been computed using the impedance model for the perforated tube. Then, experiment has been perfonned for the onset frequencies of the cavity tone for various design parameters and through-flow. The theoretically obtained modal frequencies are well consistent with the measured onset frequencies of the cavity tone, showing that the cavity tone is induced by the axisymmetric radial mode. And it is found that the modal frequency of a perforated tube muffler is much lower than that of a simple expansion chamber.

Computerized Human Body Modeling and Work Motion-capturing in a 3-D Virtual Clothing Simulation System for Painting Work Clothes Development

  • By studying 3-D virtual human modeling, motion-capturing and clothing simulation for easier and safer work clothes development, this research aimed (1) to categorize heavy manufacturing work motions; (2) to generate a 3-D virtual male model and establish painting work motions within a 3-D virtual clothing simulation system through computerized body scanning and motion-capturing; and finally (3) to suggest simulated clothing images of painting work clothes developed based on virtual male avatar body measurements by implementing the work motions defined in the 3-D virtual clothing simulation system. For this, a male subject's body was 3-D scanned and also directly measured. The procedures to edit a 3-D virtual model required the total body shape to be 3-D scanned into a digital format, which was revised using 3-D Studio MAX and Maya rendering tools. In addition, heavy industry workers' work motions were observed and recorded by video camera at manufacturing sites and analyzed to categorize the painting work motions. This analysis resulted in 4 categories of motions: standing, bending, kneeling and walking. Besides, each work motion category was divided into more detailed motions according to sub-work posture factors: arm angle, arm direction, elbow bending angle, waist bending angle, waist bending direction and knee bending angle. Finally, the implementation of the painting work motions within the 3-D clothing simulation system presented the virtual painting work clothes images simulated in a dynamic mode.

3차원 적층 패키지를 위한 ISB 본딩 공정의 파라미터에 따른 파괴모드 분석에 관한 연구 (Fracture Mode Analysis with ISB Bonding Process Parameter for 3D Packaging)

  • 3D packaging technology using TSV (Through Silicon Via)has been studied in the recent years to achieve higher performance, lower power consumption and smaller package size because electrical line is shorter electrical resistivity than any other packaging technology. To stack TSV chips vertically, reliable and robust bonding technology is required because mechanical stress and thermal stress cause fracture during the bonding process. Cu pillar/solder ${\mu}$-bump bonding process is usually to interconnect TSV chips vertically although it has weak shape to mechanical stress and thermal stress. In this study, we suggest Insert-Bump (ISB) bonding process newly to stack TSV chips. Through experiments, we tried to find optimal bonding conditions such as bonding temperature and bonding pressure. After ISB bonding, we observed microstructure of bump joint by SEM and then evaluated properties of bump joint by die shear test.

비선형을 고려한 파랑중 선체 운동과 강도 응답에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Response of the Motions and Strength of Ships in Waves taking account of Non-linerities)

  • In this paper, the authors investigate theoretically the motion and longitudinal strength of ships among waves talking account of the effects of nonlinearities such as the hull shape, bottom emergence, and hydrodynamic impact. Incidentally the ship is treated as an elastic beam in heading wave condition regarding characteristics of slamming and whipping-according to the variation in the range of a quarter length of the ship forward and the increase of the elastic modes up to 4-th vibration mode were investigated by the present theory. Calculations are performed for 97m container ship and its validity is confirmed by a series of model tests. Conclusions obtained are as follows; 1) Acceleration and pressure estimated by the present theory are in good accordance with experiments. 2) The present non-linear theory may be applied for estimating longitudinal bending moment of ships in slamming and whipping conditions. 3) In investigation of the characteristic in response according to shape variation for parts under draft and vow-flare in the range of a quarter length of the ship forward, dynamic responses due to the former were much more conspicuous than those due to the later. 4) In the maximum bending moment, the considering case up to 2-the mode are larger, about $10{\sim}15%$, than that up to 4-th mode.
