A 3D nonlinear finite element computation model is presented in order to analyze the concrete filled rectangular tubular (CFRT) composite structures. The concrete material model is based on a hypo-elastic orthotropic approach while the elasto-plastic hardening model is employed for steel element. The comparisons between experimental and analytical results show that the proposed model is a relatively simple and effective one. The analytical results show that the capacity of inner concrete of CFRT column mainly depends on the two diagonal zones, and the confining effect of CFRT section is mainly concentrated on the corner zones. At the ultimate state, the side concrete along the section cracks seriously, and the corner concrete softens with the increase of compressive strains until failure.
This paper proposes a method to predict the deflection of prestressed concrete (PC) beams with corrugated steel web (CSW) under constant load concerning time-dependent variation in concrete material. Over time, the top and bottom concrete slabs subjected to asymmetric compression experience shrinkage and creep deformations. Here, the classical Euler-Bernoulli beam theory assumption that the plane sections remain plane is not valid due to shear deformation of CSW. Therefore, this study presents a method based on the first-order shear deformation to find the long-term deflection of the composite beams under bending by considering time effects. Two experimental prestressed beams of this type were monitored under their self-weight over time, and the theoretical results were compared with those data. Additionally, 3D analytical models of the experimental beams were used according to material properties, and the results were compared with two previous cases. There was good consistency between the analytical and numerical results with low error, which increased by wave radius. It is concluded that the proposed method could reliably be used for design purposes.
Since Interior Permanent Magnet syncronous Motor has a structure whose magnet is inserted in the rotor, d, q inductance is differ and the motor products hybrid torque combined allignment term and reluctance term. Air gap flux density and d, q axis inductances of the Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor obtained by analytical method are compensated using Finite Element Method. For optimal design, the efficiency of the motor is taken as the objective function, and Genetic Algorithm finds the value of design parameters which maximize the objective function.

In this study, the hydride vapour generator inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (HVGICPMS) was applied as the new analytical method to show the high accurate and reproductive data analysing the amounts of selenium and germanium being existed inside a system of plant. In order to decrease the interference effects, such as ion and molecular interference. Mini torch was used into the ICPMS instead of the conventional torch. At conditions of the different kinds and concentrations of acid solution, the different reductive conditions for composing hydride, and the different methods for making ash, the contents of selenium and germanium in lettuce were analysed. The inspection of yields and data comparison from SRM-1574 and -1570a were used for increasing the accuracy of this analysis.

A modeling technique for the 2-way coupling of heat transfer and conduction currents has been performed to inspire a combined analytical simulation. The 3-D finite element method is used to solve steady conduction currents and heat generation in an aluminum film deposited on a silicon substrate. The model investigates the temperature in the device after the current is applied. The conservation equation of energy, the Maxwell equations for conduction currents, the unsteady state heat transfer equation and the Fourier's law for heat transfer are implemented as a bidirectionally coupled problem. It is found that the strongly coupled temperature and time dependent heat equations give a reasonable results and an explicit solving technique.
The pile construction method is changing from the pile driving operation to the injected precast pile method. It is to prevent environmental damage and to minimize complaints caused by noise. Therefore, economic alternatives optimized for the injected precast pile method are required. In this study, the enhanced spun reinforced concrete piles manufactured by high strength materials were proposed. Experimental tests were conducted to evaluate their structural safety and nonlinear finite element analysis was performed to improve the reliability of experimental results. The experimental results and the analytical results were in good agreement with each other and the proposed enhanced spun reinforced concrete pile has better performance than that required by the design. However, the performance of the joint using the existing method used in the PHC pile was considered to be insufficient.

During the recent years, wine analysis has played an increasing role due the health benefits of phenolic ingredients in red wine [1]. On the other hand there is the need to be able to distinguish between different wine varieties. Consumers want to know if a wine is an adulterated one or if it is based on the pure grape. Producers need to certificate their wines in order to ensure compliance with legal regulations. Up to now, the attempts to investigate the origin of wines were based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC) and pyrolysis mass spectrometry (PMS) [l,2,3]. These methods need sample pretreatment, long analysis times and therefore lack of high sample throughput. In contradiction to these techniques using near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), no sample pretreatment is necessary and the analysis time for one sample is only about 10 seconds. Hence, a near infrared spectroscopic method is presented that allows a fast classification of wine varieties in bottled red wines. For this, the spectra of 50 bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon, Lagrein and Sangiovese (Chianti) were recorded without any sample pretreatment over a wavelength range from 1000 to 2500 nm with a resolution of 12 cm$\^$-1/. 10 scans were used for an average spectrum. In order to yield best reproducibility, wines were thermostated at 23$^{\circ}C$ and a optical layer thickness of 3 mm was used. All recorded spectra were partitioned into a calibration and validation set (70% and 30%). Finally, a 3d scatter plot of the different investigated varieties allowed to distinguish between Cabernet Sauvignon, Lagrein and Sangiovese (Chianti). Considering the short analysis times this NRS-method will be an interesting tool for the quality control of wine verification and also for experienced sommeliers.
In order to determine sodium chondroitin sulfate in the mixture, chondroitinase ABC was used for enzymatic reaction. The procedure was rapid, simple, quantitative and the HPLC analysis of ${\Delta}Di-6S$(2-actamido-2-deoxy-3-0-(${\beta}$-D-gluco-4-enepyranosyluronic acid)-6-0-sulfo-D-galactose) in the sodium chondroitin sulfate was obtained. The absorbance was measured at 230nm and detection limit was $1{\mu}g/ml$. When we applied this method to the drugs(capsule, opthalmic solution), it gave the mean contents of $100.01{\pm}1.58%$ and $99.89{\pm}1.80%$ respectively.
In this study, a new analytical-numerical procedure is developed to give the stresses and strains around a circular tunnel in rock masses exhibiting different stress-strain behavior. The calculation starts from the tunnel wall and continues toward the unknown elastic-plastic boundary by a finite difference method in the annular discretized plastic zone. From the known stresses in the tunnel boundary, the strains are calculated using the elastic-plastic stiffness matrix in which three dimensional Hoek-Brown failure criterion (Jiang and Zhao 2015) and Mohr-Coulomb potential function with proper dilation angle (i.e., non-associated flow rule) are employed in terms of stress invariants. The illustrative examples give ground response curve and show correctness of the proposed approach. Finally, from the results of a great number of analyses, a simple relationship is presented to find out the closure of circular tunnel in terms of rock mass strength and tunnel depth. It can be valuable for the preliminary decision of tunnel support and for prediction of tunnel problems.
Corrosion of steel rebars in bridge decks which are faced to harsh conditions, is a common problem in construction industries due to the porosity of concrete. In this research, the behavior of one-way concrete slabs reinforced with Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) molded grating is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. In the analytical method, a closed-form solution for load-deflection behavior of a slab under four-point bending condition is developed by considering a concrete slab as an orthotropic plate and defining stiffness coefficients in principal directions. The available formulation for concrete reinforced with steel is expanded for concrete reinforced with GFRP molded grating to predict ultimate failure load. In finite element modeling, an exact nonlinear behavior of concrete along with a 3-D failure criterion for cracking and crushing are considered in order to estimate the ultimate failure load and the initial cracking load. Eight concrete slabs reinforced with steel and GFRP grating in various thicknesses are also tested to verify the results. The obtained results from the models and experiments are relatively satisfactory.
