  • A Vehicle Tracking System consists of GPS tracking device which fits into the vehicle and captures the GPS location information at regular intervals to a central GIS server, and GIS tracking server providing three major responsibilities: receiving data from the GPS tracking unit, securely storing it, and serving this information on demand of the user. GPS based tracking systems supporting a multi-session processing among RMA, RM, and RCP can make a quick response to various services including other vehicle information between RSU and OBU on demand of the user. In this paper we design RSU lower layers and RCP applications in OBU for a multisession processing simulation and test message processing transactions among RMA-RM and RM-RCP. Furthermore, we implement the additional functions of handling access commands simultaneously on multiple service resources which are appropriate for the experimental testing conditions. In order to make a multi-session processing test, it reads 30 resource data,0002/0001 ~ 0002/0030, in total and then occurs 30 session data transmissions simultaneously. We insert a sequence number field into a special header of dummy data as a corresponding response to check that the messages are received correctly. Thus, we find that GIS service system with a multi-session processing is able to provide additional 30 services in a same speed of screen presentation loading while identifying the number of session processing of Web GIS service, the number of OBU service, and the speed of screen presentation loading by comparing a single session and a multi-session of GIS service system.

  • A Korean air dispersion modeling software, AirMaster, was developed on a basis of dispersion theories adopted in U.S. EPA's ISC3 (Industrial Source Complex - version 3) model to assess the air quality impact from the stacks. Key characteristics of AirMaster are as follows: 1) The building downwash effect can be easily simulated; 2) The screen, long term, and short term models can be run independently; 3) The input data to run the model such as meteorological and terrain data are supplied automatically from the databases in AirMaster; and 4) The modeling procedure is easy and simple under the GUI window environment. In order to validate AirMaster, comparisons with ISC3 model and Indianapolis tracer experiment were carried out. It was shown that AirMaster was identical to ISCST3 and ISCLT3 models in predicting the 1 hr to annual concentrations from the stack under various stack emission and meteorological conditions. The 1 hr concentrations predicted by AirMaster also showed a good agreement with the Indianapolis tracer measurements.

  • One way to create a visually immersive environment is to utilize a front projection system. Especially, when enough space is not available behind the screen, it becomes difficult to install a back projection system, making the front projection an appropriate choice. A drawback associated with the front projection is, however, the interference of shadow. The shadow can be cast on the screen when the user is located between the screen and the projector. This shadow can negatively affect the user experience and reduce the sense of immersion by removing important information. There have been various attempts to eliminating shadows cast on the screen by using multiple projectors that compensate for each other with missing information. There is trade-off between calculataion time and desired accuracy in this mutual compensation. Accurate estimation of the shadow usually requires heavy computation while simple approaches suffer from inclusion of non-shadow regions in the result. We propose a novel approach to removing shadows created in the front projection system using the skeleton data obtained from a depth camera. The skeleton data helps accurately extract the shape of the shadow that the user cast without requiring much computation. Our method also utilizes a distance field to remove the afterimage of shadow that may occur when the user moves. We verify the effectiveness of our system by performing various experiments in an interactive environment created by a front projection system.

  • Various data visualization methods are utilized to analyze a huge amount of data. Among various methods, a three-dimensional image requires the rotation of the image to show a stereo image on a two-dimensional screen. This study discusses two methods of batch method and real-time method, which make it possible to construct of stereo images to improve the restriction of the three-dimensional image display with virtual reality. This investigation can be useful to better explore a three-dimensional data structure.

  • In this thesis, it suggests large scale interactive display system which is able to various touch interaction and bases on infrared LED BAR and using 3D. Interaction layer formed on space from screen which is able to feel 3D using suggested IR LED BAR. It gets the image in real time what is composed in interaction section using infrared camera with band pass filter. The image finds touch interaction coordinate through image processing module and saves as packet. It send packet to server through network data communication. It analyze packet by metaphor analysis module and save as metaphor event and send it to contents. On contents, it practices to metaphor event result in real time so it makes use touch interaction in stereopsis. According to this process, it does not need touch the screen at firsthand but it is possible system and touch interaction so touch interaction is possible while use 3D.

  • The electrical conductivity of SrTiO3 thick films, which has been prepared by screen printing and sintering on polycrystalline Al2O3 substrates, was determined as a function of oxygen partial pressure and temperature. The data showed that electrical conductivity was proportional to the -1/4th power of the oxygen partial pressure for the oxygen partial pressure range from 10-4-10-8 to 10-20 atm and proportional to Po2+1/4 for the oxygen partial pressure range from 10-6-10-4 to 1atm. And then n-p transition region of electrical conductivity moved to lower oxygen partial pressure region as the sintering temperature of thick film specimens increased under about 140$0^{\circ}C$. These data were consistent with the presence of small amounts of acceptor impurities in SrTiO3 thick film which have been diffused from Al2O3 substrate in the range of solid solubility limit.

  • 3D content rendering is one of the important factors that give a sense of realism when creating content, and this process takes a lot of time. In this paper, we proposed a method to improve rendering performance by reducing the vast amount of 3D data in the web environment, and conducted a performance test using DEM and 3D model elevation data. As a result of the experiment, the digital elevation model showed faster performance than the Blender-based 3D modeling, but when the screen was moved using OrbitControl, the fps dropped momentarily. In the case of Terrain, if the range is limited to a speed that maintains 24 to 60 fps using frustum culling and LOD techniques, it is considered that a higher quality map can be produced than GeoTIFF.

  • A study on thermal properties for a single-layer metal and two-layer composites was investigated for the heat-sink application. For the single-layer metal, an aluminum alloy (Al6061) was selected. A screen printed aluminum nitride (AlN) layer on the Al6061 substrate was chosen for the two-layer composites. The thermal conductivity of the sample was determined from the thermal diffusivity measured by the light flash analysis (LFA), specific heat and density. Measured thermal property values were compared to calculated values using the data from the references. The thermal conductivity of composites with screen printed AlN layer on the Al6061 substrate decreased linearly with increasing the thickness of AlN layer. Measured values of the thermal conductivity for composites with $53{\mu}m$ and $163{\mu}m$ thick AlN layers were $114.1W/m{\cdot}K$ and $72.3W/m{\cdot}K$, respectively. In particular, the thermal conductivity of the screen-printed AlN layer was demonstrated by appling the rule of mixture in view point of thermal resistivity. Measured values of the thermal conductivity for AlN layers with the thickness of $53{\mu}m$ and $163{\mu}m$ showed $9.35W/m{\cdot}K$ and $12.40W/m{\cdot}K$, respectively.
